Love Camp Bow Wow. The staff is so welcoming. First started going when I took my Dane for daycare and boarding before she passed in February. I got a new fur puppy Winnie Mae in August and she's now a Camp Bow Wow camper. Not only is it a great place for her to socialize with other dogs, enrichments are also provided each month. Being her first Holidays she's participated in paw craft for November making a Turkey and just today made a Reindeer paw ornament. Can't wait for her first set of Holiday photos on her next visit.

We love Camp Bow Wow Elk Grove! Or should I say, our dog would LITERALLY leave us to live there forever! When we pick up Wilma from a day of play or a boarding stay, she is crashed out from playing so much. The employees are very friendly and you can tell they care about all the animals! We know that she is safe and well cared for when we drive off.

I liked the ease of creating an account profile and uploading the vaccination information for my pets. The review process was quick. I love the gradual introduction of other dogs to my pets. This is my 1st time bringing them to doggy daycare. Staff was very professional, knowledgeable, and understanding of my trepidations as a newbie. There are other services that were explained to me (of which I have yet to exercise). I love the doggy cams and the freedom to check on my fur babies. When I brought them home after the initial interview, they were exhausted. A tired dog is a happy dog! I would highly recommend this facility to other dog owners!

I used to enjoy bringing my dogs here but the past few times, dealing with the people up front has been anything but pleasant They have started charging people extra for leaving your dogs past 11 am if you have put them in overnight boarding. Today two of my dogs didn't have collars on and the lady upfront charged me extra, 6 dollars for the two collars rental. I have been here at this Camp several times over the past few years and they never charged me for "collar rental". Yes, I have brought my dogs without collars on, several times. I could have been warned not to bring them without a collar on for next time or I will be charged but the front desk lady was not accommodating. I'm not happy with my past two experiences with camp bow wow personnel and I recommend Camp Bow Wow to put someone more accommodating and pleasant at the front desk if they want to continue to have happy customers.

When my dog comes home from Campbowow EG..she's exhausted!! Do I need to say anything more? The workers do their absolute best, and make an effort, and love the dogs, though at times they are very busy. They do a wonderful job!

These are my 2 killer pit mixes... All they would do is lick you to death

I had the best experience with Camp Bow Wow up until 2 months ago. I have been taking my pit bull mix adult dog here for a few months and she loved it. I then asked how old puppies needed to be to come in to daycare, they asked what kind of dog and I told them a pit/Rott mix. The lady at the desk then informed me after the first of the year they would not be accepting any new Pitts or Pitt bull mixes but my 1st dog can stay? Didn't make any sense. I called the corporate/main office twice asking to get a phone call back in regards to this new policy, didn't receive anything. So I am taking both my pit mixes to camp wag in west sac. Sad because I love 2 mins away from this camp. You all should know that it's not the breed of dog that chooses there temperament , it's how they are raised and treated. Talk about discrimination!!!

Before that, my husband and I worked different schedules so we never needed a dog walker. We both took about a year off after moving before heading back into full-time work. When we decided to go back to work and realized we would have the same schedule, we knew we had to find someone to walk our dog Mon-Fri. I called several people, asked a lot of questions and met a few of them. Lori was very patient with all my questions and our dog absolutely loved her. It was important to us to find the right person because our dog started having separation anxiety after our move. She was tearing up her crate, which made us very nervous to leave her. We felt like we were tied to the house all the time and even mounted a camera in the living room so we could check on her when we were out! (We've since retrained her to like her crate again.) Lori started walking our dog once a week and moved to 5 days once my husband and I were both working. During the first few weeks of my new job I continued to check our camera to see how our dog was doing while we were gone. And I have to admit that I did check a few times to see how long Lori was out with our dog. I feel weird about that now, but we didn't know Lori so well yet and she totally could have said she was walking our dog for 45 minutes and only go for 20, and we wouldn't have known. But she never cuts the time short. She always has our dog out for as long as she was scheduled for. Over the past year Lori has been a HUGE asset to our family. I don't believe she's ever cancelled a walk, so she is extremely reliable. She feeds our cats their lunch every day when she comes to take our dog out. When we go on vacation, she boards our dog and visits our cats. She even gave one of our cats medication when he needed it. Lori often sends heart-warming photos of our dog while she's out with her. She keeps our dog safe and comfortable by playing with her inside when the weather is extreme. And I know our dog adores Lori because when I'm home sick I get to see how excited she is when Lori arrives. We rely on Lori so much that I honestly don't know what we would do if we ever lost her. P.S. For those of you who haven't checked out her website yet and are wondering how much she charges... she's very affordable. We do $15 for 45 minutes. I've seen some walkers charge $25 for a 30 minute walk! We are by no means well off, so with how often Lori walks our dog, we really appreciate her fair prices!

If you're looking for someone with a genuine love of and connection to cats, who is very experienced with cat behavior and health issues, and who is supremely trustworthy and reliable - look no further than Drew. Before I met Drew I spent so much time on Yelp contacting other pet sitters in the area and they all seemed like they were mostly dog-oriented and just tolerated cats and would be only dropping by to make sure my cats were alive. Then I contacted Drew and I knew right away she was special - she actually adores cats and her primary concern is getting to know your cats' individual needs and quirks and providing the best comprehensive care possible while putting your mind at ease with daily checks-ins and photos. (She also owns a photography business and you can hire her for an epic pet photo session!) Drew regularly takes care of my guys, whether I'm busy for one day or away for a longer trip. Under anyone else's care, I'd worry about their individual dietary and behavioral needs - I have a picky older cat with anxiety and urinary issues, a goofy black cat with a sensitive tummy and a history of eating inedible objects and getting the occasional ear infection, and a young, spunky one-eyed cat who once had an injured leg. Not only has Drew gotten to know each of their personalities and connected with them like they're her own pets (they greet her at the door), she has expertly attended to their occasional extra needs and has on multiple occasions taken the time to talk me through my concerns about their issues. In addition to being a cat owner herself, Drew has experience working at clinics and rescues and volunteers her time at a cat sanctuary so I thoroughly trust her input and consider her a valued care companion and part of our pet family. My cats (and I) absolutely adore Drew and there's just no better feeling when you're away than total peace of mind that your fur family is receiving the best possible care. 5 stars, 10/10. Thank you, Drew!

After years of shuttling our dogs to our parents every time we want to travel, my husband and I finally decided that it's time to find a local dog and house sitter. I reached out to Dusty through Yelp and received a very prompt response for availability and to set up a meet and greet. She also provided thorough background checks, proof of insurance, and references (who gave excellent reviews). Her care and thoroughness is very evident. We connected right away during the meet and greet, and my husband and I both felt like we could trust her with our dogs and our home. I provided an extensive list of notes, and she followed them to a T. During our weekend trip, Dusty checked in frequently with updates and photos. I never had to wonder if the dogs were doing okay. Not only did Dusty really care about our dogs' well-being, she also cares about our peace of mind and puts in a lot of effort to relieve our anxieties. I was especially anxious about one of our dog's leash reactivity, and Dusty did a fantastic job managing her surroundings during walks and making sure that they were both safe. Upon our return, the house was in great shape. My only "complaint" is that the dogs didn't seem to miss us at all since they were so busy having fun with Dusty! I got to know Dusty more, and she's an honest, lovely, and creative soul. We plan on being her clients for many years to come.

Our meet and greet with Jayce went great and fortunately for us she was available when we needed her (and willing to work on the holiday). We opted for two 30-min visits per day because one of our dogs requires morning and evening medications and Jayce always showed up within the time frames and followed all the instructions for feeding and medication schedules. She kept the water refilled and based on what we could see from our home security cameras, our two dogs seemed to really like her. She sent pictures/updated with every visit. Jayce was also observant of overall home well-being and notified me when there was evidence of someone besides her having been in the house (there was, as my father-in-law had come by to pick something up, and apparently he left the laundry room light on and the laundry room door open). Although we did not intend for it to be a test of her attentiveness, it was great to know that she was in fact paying attention to the home safety and alerting when there was a potential concern. She also took care of some other basic household tasks like pulling our garbage cans in off the street and picking up our mail. The prices are extremely reasonable and she was willing to work on Christmas Day. She even dressed up our pups and sent special Christmas greetings We look forward to booking with E.G. I was in luck as Jacey had an immediate opening and was able to fit Bella into her rather busy schedule. I filled out and signed a couple of forms, provided Bella's veterinarian information and additional emergency contact information. We went over the daily feeding times walking, plant watering and mail pick up schedule. I was extremely impressed at Jacey's attentiveness organization and use of technology. Jacey calendared everything on her personal device and when she met Bella I was relieved to see that they were such a great match. It was comforting to know that my dog would be safe in her own home and well taken care of by a professional dog lover. Overall the pre-appointment took about 30 to 40 minutes. I scheduled Jacey to come by two times each day in the morning and evening and as an added bonus I received daily updates from Jacey on pretty much everything for updates including mini videos as well as lots of pictures. I would recommend EG Barkers to anyone who needs to have their pet taken care of in a loving non-stressful and safe home environment Bella loves LOVES her dog walker, Miss Jaycee. With that said I would without any hesitation hire E. G. Barkers again in the future to take care of Bella. Especially for those days with late work meetings.
