Visiting from out of state & my 18month old labradoodle needed a grooming I was able to get an appointment quickly & she did a great job.

After taking my dog to get her nails trimmed at pet-smart, then her vet, then attempting to cut her nails at home. This has been the ONLY place who has been able to cut my dogs nails!! She gets anxious and moves around a lot so she's really tricky. I've seen them do it and I don't know what it is but my dog is GREAT for them! Best place I've taken my dog to! read more

I continued to take my dog here for 3 consistent years after writing my initial review, but there were a couple incidents that made me consider taking my dog to other places. My dog had a cut on her paw and the groomer told me it was my dog's fault because she had moved. I know my dog is very submissive and obedient, but I wanted to be understanding about the incident because I know those things can happen, and I didn't believe the groomer intentionally meant to hurt her. But on another occasion after we had just gotten home, I noticed she was rubbing her right ear. I looked inside her ear and it was covered in blood. What I've generally heard was that ear plucking does not hurt dogs if done in small sections. It makes me suspect that maybe the groomer was rushing and took huge chunks out at a time. I don't really know where to place blame here, but I began taking her to other places and have yet to experience the same incident. read more

I was looking for a good groomer. It was hard to find due to this quarantine. I called and left a message. They called me back pretty quick. I made an appointment and went in at 8 in the morning. The staff was very welcoming and I warned the staff about my dog being anxious and nervous. They provided a muzzle. I went back about 945 and both my babies looked absolutely beautiful. My anxious baby didn't even have his muzzle on. The warmed him up and took it off and for that I'm truly grateful. I will be using this groomer from now on. read more

My first time as a pet owner. So leaving my pet in someone else's care, especially strangers, you can bet I was having an anxiety attack! I give this place 4 and not 5 simply because when I came home, I found my Pomeranian/Maltese pup licking its front leg and I discovered a cut. And for a first time pet owner like me, that's a definite no no. I care a lot for my dog, and something like that is unacceptable! I expect my dog to be returned to me how I left him before. Service-wise: I think they did an excellent job. My dog was like a new dog! He was super soft and looked so much cleaner. They are excellent at what they do, however they need to understand that these pets are loved (immensely, because then these people wouldn't be spending their hard-earned cash on animals) and they need to be a lot more careful when handling someone else's babies. Bobbi was super nice on the phone and told me I can bring in my parents' 16 year old, super matted German shepherd, Faye, that same morning. I dropped off Faye at 9:45am and she was ready for pick-up at 2:30pm. This wasn't bad for being a last minute customer and having a big matted dog with me. I really appreciate Bobbi's customer service. She was so sweet and truly experienced--despite Faye's age she doesn't like to sit still for very long. Faye left smelling so happily and looking so beautiful. The price wasn't bad...$60. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in town and Faye needs another grooming. I usually take her to another location and the nail trimming is great but here they didn't do that great and left her nails still a little long. Staff was not friendly they basically ignored me, held my dog and walked away. I had bathed her prior to her appointment and she came back smelling like pee (5 minutes at most to trim her nails) and her leash had poop on it. Don't expect this to be a high end, highly maintained grooming salon for your furry friends. The inside is small. It's more of a lofty kind of place. However, despite the environment, this is my go to place because of the decent price and convenient location for me. It's not the best service, and my dog actually once came home with a cut and bleeding wound, but there wasn't much I could've done about it. My medium sized Australian Shepherd costed $50 to groom. This includes a bath, trim, nail, ear, and anal cleaning. You can opt out of any if you wish. You bring in your pup in the morning and around noon to afternoon, they'll call you to come pick up. Another issue is that I actually recommended this place to someone else, and the groomers completely ignored her request for hair length and ended up stripping the dog of nearly all his hair. This review is long over due but I'm saving you the trouble I have gone through. I have been to so many groomers in and around the Sacramento area. I tried Cute and Cuddly about six months before, today was my second visit. A little about the clients: 11 year old poodle mix and a 3 year old mini German Shepard / mini Australian Shepard mix. My 3 year old is an abuse case and is slightly temperamental. So here we go: first visit, I called up to make an appointment and was put off by the month wait for an appointment. End result: beautifully groomed. My three year old had the sanitary cut I had requested and they did a spectacular job hand trimming him. His feathers were cut even and beautifully. My 11 year old was taken down enough to still look poodle and yet be able to enjoy the river without my having to worry about her matting. Fast forward to today: prompt service, got me in right away! Brought the dogs in they kenneled them together like I had requested (less stress on my 3 year old). She was honest with behaviors, great cut! Both look super and ready for the summer. Let me tell you, I have had my dogs returned whimpering and crying, found a cut on my 11 year old from other grooming places. I had a groomer say my 11 year old was the worst-- she loves getting groomed! I should have stopped looking as soon as I first visited this little, hard to find shop. I didn't have time to chit chat with the girl today but I'm done looking. I will be calling in to schedule my next appointment soon. Do yourself a favor: come try this place out. It is more than reasonably priced, service is unbeatable, clean and well kept, wonderful staff. I am looking forward to being a regular here!! read more

I am updating my review after receiving service many times and as always the service is always amazing. My dog always leaves their shop impeccable and in a very calm state of mind. The owner of the shop is very attentive to detail and always let's you know before hand what will happen to your dog considering their condition. About a year and a half ago my poor baby was attacked. They of course shaved down only just a big patch of fur for the surgery leaving the rest of the fur(you can imagine how it must look like when you have a poofy haired dog.) after receiving her surgery, having an open wound with a silicone pipe sticking out of her wound to drain the fluids and a cone around her head she was absolutely miserable, in pain, as well as dirty. I tried to keep her as clean as possible but her fur just too much and she was completely weary of people and other dogs due to trauma. After her stitched wound had healed and closed up a bit as well as had the drain thing removed i got the okay from her vet and decided it was time. The owner was very understanding of my baby's situation and was very careful. I picked her up and she looked stunning, still a bit weary of people and the other dogs in their kennels in the shop but a lot better. I took her home and once she got comfortable. She was so happy. She was lighter, cleaner, no more mats. Since then I have went to no other groomer but this shop. And as always they make my baby into the princess she is. read more

I took my dog here for the first (and only) time last month. He needed a haircut badly and he did have some matting, he has hair not fur. I was excited after seeing the reviews and looked forward to seeing my boy after his pampering. I had only one request when I dropped him off which was NOT to cut his eyelashes. When I picked him up i did't see at first the damage that had been done. I was charged an extra $5 which was not quoted on the phone or when I dropped him off. I was told it was a "stripping charge" which is exactly what they did to my dog! They barely left my dog with any hair and he has had issues ever since! My dog's rear end was left totally bald and because of that became red and raw and swollen. I had to go buy medication to combat the infection that came too. I couldn't get him to go outside to potty because he was that uncomfortable.. he usually runs right to the door ready to go. I carried him outside the first few days afterward. He was clearly distressed and miserable. I called and spoke to Bobbi. I asked what they were willing to do, brought up the eyelashes, his extreme discomfort, and the extra money I spent on the infection and in turn was told I could put Neo-sporin on him and a cone. She explained that he probably should have been groomed with a number 7 blade when that day a number 10 had been used.... these people didn't even attempt to leave my dog with any hair. They stripped him. He has been so scratchy and itchy since being there he's lost some of the hair he had left due to itching. I WILL NOT take my dog back there. With all the positive reviews this place has I expected the same. I asked for a refund and was denied. I feel a refund is more than fair in this situation as my dog is a completely different dog now, attitude and all. I wouldn't give any stars at all but you have to give one to comment.... so there you go. read more

I've had Bobbie and Kathy groom my Portuguese Water Dogs for many years. When they opened this shop I went with them. Not only do they do a great job, they are very friendly and caring for the dogs. I've never heard them raise their voices, shake a dog or a paw, and they are the only people in the whole world that I would entrust my doggies, even my 14 year old dog who was very feeble.
