This business really is one of the worst. Tammy is the owner and she lacks any sense of customer service. We've been here before and we were happy with the care our dogs received. Last week was different. I boarded the dogs for 3 nights while I was hospitalized. Hubby picked them up on a Tuesday eve and the dog supplies that we brought with- 2 leather leashes, 2 food bowls, 2 bowl stands were missing. Supposedly the owner Tammy gave our labeled belongings to another pet parent- on the Sunday! Then she hands our dogs off to us as if nothing is wrong, no biggie. She sends our kids home with the cheapest nylon leashes that they had. All the while not acknowledging that our stuff is missing. Not knowing if she will be returning the items. We of course want our stuff back. Duh! What a concept?! The front desk young lady Kayla has more manners and more business sense than Tammy, 3 xs Kayla's age. I asked Kayla to be compensated for our missing items since we were told we may not get them back. I used the words "service recovery ". Nothing done to make this right, earn our business ever again. So we aren't going to just forget about our stuff valued at roughly $300. We tried to reach out to Tammy a number of times. She ghosted us, didn't return phone calls and wouldn't talk to hubby when he went back to business to solve this problem. This was all in the week after pickup. Yesterday we get Tammy on the phone finally and she was uncouth, aggressive with us and was gaslighting us. As if how dare we make an issue of our belongings go missing from her business. The nerve of us! The items did eventually come back to us after a week being gone. Tammy is mentally unstable. She was not apologetic at all and questioned why we possibly could be upset. Her words..."It's not like we lost your dogs!" Well damn...is that what has to happen to justify being upset with you?? Then on top of all this, both of our dogs has been having loose stools, diarrhea since returning from her care. This is a healthy 6 year old dog who was fine when we dropped him off, the other a healthy 2 year old doggo. This business has declined BIG TIME in the past year. The 18 yo front counter worker was more professional than her boss. Kayla was raised well. Tammy needs to go to charm school, back to grade school too to revisit some basic lessons. I highly recommend to avoid this business! Tammy is a nightmare. Let's see how she's going to talk her way out of this one. read more

In my previous review ... I did characterize the owner as dishonest, didn't I? Yes, because her response to my review is chock full of more falsehoods, in the same way that her response to my wife's review was. She's so pathetically predictable! If she dared post her phone call recordings and video footage for all to hear and see, they would simply reveal what a compulsive liar she is. I can coolly and collectedly say that the only "threat" I made was (verbatim): "I want to give you one last chance to make things right before my wife and I post our reviews about your business." Next, she made *no offer* to provide comparable leather leashes for my strong pulling dogs. In fact, she scoffed at me when I asked her to do so, and even followed up by asking me in a very condescending tone "don't you have other leashes at home?" All this despite Sherwood Camp Bow Wow's lobby having similar leather leashes for sale hanging on the wall that would have kept my dogs reasonably safe. Instead, her staff returned my babies to me on nylon strings (aka slip leads with no handles) that they could chew through in 30 seconds. Then, there's the owner's insistence that she returned our belongings quickly. Because Tammy didn't know if the other customer even had our belongings or if they would return them if they did, of course my wife and I were not going to sit idly by when we immediately needed them for our dogs' safety. We certainly didn't expect to have our personal property taken from us *indefinitely* from a business we trusted to care for our dogs. It was a week before our items were made available to us. Up until then, there was no indication whatsoever when or if we would get them back. Naturally, we had to buy replacements. The truth is, all our items were individually labeled with our dogs' names! How does Tammy pointing out similar looking bags give her an excuse for anything? At least make some sense, and take ownership of the fact that you as the owner made this boneheaded mistake instead of saying "we" as if your poor staff had anything to do with it. Oh, one more thing: We received our dogs' pet meds and food container back on pickup day as expected. These items were also in the same bag and individually labeled just like the lost items. Hint: The next time you decide to lie your way out of something, try thinking it through first. I also characterized the owner as clueless. So many examples - where do I start? The owner replied she doesn't know why my wife and I were so upset at her. Uh, we both s-p-e-l-l-e-d i-t o-u-t for her in our reviews. Does she have literacy challenges? Or is she feebly attempting to play dumb? Regardless, all roads lead to the same conclusion. She ain't foolin' nobody. Next, trying to dismiss our dogs' sickness as something you conveniently don't "believe." Frankly, you have zero credibility for anyone to care what you don't believe. After all you've feigned and weaseled your way out of ever since we brought our initial concerns to your attention, we'd be stupid to think you would do anything about it, let alone express any concern about our dogs. You want proof? There were two weeks' worth of runny stool right after their visit to Sherwood Camp Bow Wow I could have dropped off to you, directly from both my dogs' behinds. Would that have worked? Crass was another characterization of Tammy I had previously stated. Hanging up on your customer after several days of not returning multiple calls is a pretty obvious no-no for any respectable business owner, unless, of course, you just don't care about how you treat your customers. Sorry, I mean former customer now. It's no wonder why Sherwood Camp Bow Wow is only a 2.5 star rated business. I hope the workers take the initiative, for their own sake, to distance themselves from this clueless, crass, dishonest, and hideous business owner. read more

These people were horrible. I heard my dog screaming in pain as they cut her nails and as you can see I the photo they charged me for a nail cut and they didn't even cut her nails. They also were talking crap about how her nail trim took 3X as long as it should. So not professional I also paid for a bath. They didn't even dry her. It was so cold outside and let her go as she was soaking wet. I will never be back and don't recommend this place to anyone. read more

I had two dogs stay there for an entire week and I think they enjoyed it. They had plenty of play time and you can even view the live cameras during their stay. You can also pay extra for enrichment services like extra one-on-one time and fitness activities. I had them showered while they were there so they were squeaky clean when I picked them up. We decided to board our dog, Tallulah, with Camp Bow Wow in October 2021. It was our first time boarding our dog with anyone. Tallulah, a 45 pound Australian Shepard, was in good health when we dropped her off on 10/8, but when we picked her up on 10/17 she was coughing when they brought her out to us. It also became quickly apparent that she had lost 10-15 pounds and was having a hard time breathing. We had to take her to the ER within a few hours because she could not breathe properly. She had to stay in the ICU for a week, and we almost lost her several times. It cost us over $8,000 to keep her alive. She had apparently developed pneumonia after picking up a cough at Camp Bow Wow. I am not upset that she picked up the initial cough, as you have to be prepared for this kind of thing when you board your dog with anyone. I am troubled by the following things: 1. Tallulah was clearly very sick, but none of the employees noticed this. 2. Tallulah was not eating and lost a significant amount of weight. She was skin and bones when we picked her up. 3. There was absolutely no communication with us about the 2 above listed items. If we had known either of these things, we would have had a friend bring in other food options and had them take her to the vet before the cough turned into pneumonia. 4. When I contacted Camp Bow Wow after Tallulah was in the ICU a manager apologized profusely, and said she would address my concerns with her staff. She also said she would call the following week to speak with me about the changes they were making to make sure this would not happen again with another person's dog. They never offered to help pay medical expenses that occurred as a result of their neglect, and I never heard back from them. I am not a person who leaves negative reviews, but I could not in good conscience say nothing when I believe other dog owners may be faced with a similar situation in the future. Camp Bow Wow may be great for the doggy day care they provide, but do NOT board your dog here! It isn't safe for your pet! read more

I had been looking for a dog daycare that let owners watch their dogs 'in action'. Our 2 13-year old labradoodles have been fortunate to have attended 2 other excellent centers in the Sherwood area but neither of them had the video feature. Recently one of our doodles passed away and the other is suffering from blindness, deafness and the onset of canine dementia. We decided daycare (which they only attended occasionally in their senior years) would be too confusing for our remaining dog. I contacted Camp Bow Wow and explained the situation. Within hours they replied, refunding our credit balance for remaining daycare hours already paid for. We always found the staff here to be friendly, helpful and very attentive to our 2 dogs. read more

We've been taking our now 10 month old Chocolate lab to Camp Bow Wow now for 3 months. For boarding, day play and nail trims. Overall the experience has been great. Having been working with daycares and rescues since I was 13. I was quite picky with finding the perfect place for my dogs. After trying out Camp Bow Wow, I can not express how much I love this place. My doggies Max and Bella are my babies and I only want the best for them. Camp Bow Wow was so helpful answering all my questions and concerns. I love that they have a camera and I am able to see them, along with all their handlers being certified. This place is a waste of money.. What's going on in the back of this place... No tour offered, funny they don't allow you in main Dog Area of facility.. At first two visits it was just OK.. Then when my dog turns the other way towards DOOR there's a reason he don't want to GO!! Listen to your Dogs people.. Dogs just pace a cement slab.. are not supplied enough fresh water my Husky is So Thirsty each time @ pick up and other DOG OWNERS .. Allie continues to have long lasting illness from the Guardia. She was in CBW care for 9 days, she was in great health upon drop off. So how could she have arrived 9 days earlier sick already( and apparently ahowed no symptoms of illness while in CBW's care)? She lives in an only dog household and we don't take her to dog parks or even for walks because we have a huge yard for her to romp in. Today, a month later , she was diagnosed with colitis, an inflammation of her large intestine. The vet said most likely the result of inflammation in her large intestines from the guardia. We have spent so much money on vet bills, medications, special food- but thats NOTHING compared to the lack of sleep from getting up every 2 hours to take a dog out to have blow out diarrhea. Did I mention that I will be giving her vitamin B-12 injections for the next 5 weeks because long term diarrhea depletes vitamin B-12? Think carefully before you drop off your best little buddy at CBW Sherwood. I am a small business owner and really, truly detest negative reviews but I am soooo overwhelmed with this situation. read more

Camp Bow Wow is the best! Everyone has been awesome with my dog every single time he goes, which is currently 3 times a week. He is a very high energy Golden Retriever and it amazes me that when he gets home, he will eat and basically pass out for the night. Plus, the next day he is still relaxed. The difference they have made is incredible and I highly recommend Camp Bow Wow for anyone with a high energy dog who needs a lot of daily stimulation! I feel great he is taken care of, played with and gets to interact with humans and the dogs. I can only run him and take him to the park so much during the week and weekends so these days he is there has really been great for him and for me. Now I feel less guilty working all day at home while he has nothing to do! read more
