My 2 dogs stayed there for 11 days while we were on vacation. They both seemed to love it but both developed kennel cough after they came home and we had gotten bordatella vaccines updated before boarding them but perhaps other dogs that were there had not gotten there's?? Know before you go! DOGS ARE CAGED ALL DAY. When you pay for doggy daycare here, all the dogs are in kennels all day except for 2-3 designated 'play times' (30min). They do not like to advertise this or answer directly when asked. They are generally understaffed and it's difficult to reach them. My dogs we'd generally be even more hyper & stressed out when I'd pick them up because they had been caged all day in a strange place with tons of dogs barking all day. Despicable they don't advertise honestly about what 'doggy daycare' actually means there. I do NOT recommend. read more

I love this place and the people who work here. We have bringing our German Shepherd dog, Kona, here for a while now and wouldn't think to board her elsewhere. The staff knows our dog and can comment on her stay when asked which is something we really like. It feels like your dog is being cared for rather than just thrown into a play area each day. And I know she loves it too because now she will just run straight in from the car without any look back and she's always happy and tired when we pick her up. Another thing we love about this place is that they have fun little events like doggie pool days or "school photos". We have yet to try the enhanced day care but plan to in the future. 10/10 place- highly recommend for anyone who has a dog that needs daycare or boarding. read more

Reynolds Dog Resort is the absolute best! My dog boards there very very frequently and this (self proclaimed) "helicopter" dog mom always feels 100% comfortable leaving him. This is kind of long so bear with me. I do want to say the staff were very friendly and obviously love animals, but to me that's just not enough. I feel duped their advertising and the information I got setting up our initial visit. While on one hand it is soooo nice the dogs can get outdoors and breathe some fresh air during their time at boarding, I feel like it doesn't make up for the fact they're in a cage for the rest of the time. Not even in a big play room romping around with other dogs. In a solo cage in a room with other caged dogs. I brought my pup here for a tour and to check it out since I need to board him next month and they scheduled me a free play day since I'm a new customer. That is very kind and of course I took them up on it since my dog loves playing. But I didnt realize that in the 5 hours he was gone he was only outdoors for a fraction of that time. 90 minutes total? 2 play times 45 minutes each. I can leave him in a cage at home, too..its not exactly doggie day care if they're not playing around with other pups! It's not what I had in mind after speaking with the employees on the phone and looking over their website. I dont understand why the dogs cant play together in a room while they're not outside, or just...you know...let them play outside for the day. My dog came from a shelter and has had enough of being locked up unnecessarily. I feel extremely let down and disappointed. Boarding gets 3 play times, a 4th costs extra, so you figure 3 hours tops playing outside so...they're locked in their cage the other 21 hours of the day?! I understand people have different needs for their pets, but mine definitely needs to not be in a cage for 21 hours a day. No thank you, not ever. read more

This used to be the best option for boarding and day care, but following a change in ownership, it has adopted policies that mandate prospective clients harm their dogs' health in order to be accepted here. (See the recent study by Zink, Delgado, Stella for starters.) As someone who cares about dogs' health, it is no longer ethically justifiable to support this business, which pains me greatly because it's only this one thing, the staff at this location are great people who do care. I would not recommend this place. I went for a tour when I was looking for a place to board my dog. During the tour, I was taken through room one where everyone had just been brought in from outside play time. They were wet and panting. Granted it was raining outside at the time. The room felt like it was at least 75 degrees. I saw several cages with dogs in them, panting heavily, with no water bowl. I brougth this to the attention of the tour guy and he said he hadn't gotten to it yet. When I voiced my concerns about it being too hot in there for the dogs, he said they previously had someone come out and measure the temperature and it never got above 70. This is lame! There is no excuse for this. There were windows that could have been opened and the dogs should always have water avialable. I don't think animal care is a priority at this place. There is no way I would board my dog here. read more

I recently boarded my dog at the Tualatin location. I think all in all, my puppy had a good time there. I do have several points of concern with this business, however which reflects the rating. I do not plan to return. 1. Hard to get in touch with someone / get a response back - I called several times during their "business hours" (which are 7-10a and 3-6p ONLY) and continued to get to the voicemail. I did leave a voicemail but it took 2 days to get a call back. I also tried to reach someone by email and their Facebook messenger (more on that shortly) 2. Services paid for not received - I paid extra for a package that provided daily video updates. They did not send anything then when I finally got in touch with it someone days later, they said it was on their Facebook page. I searched this company on Facebook and the page I was able to find had not been updated recently at all. They should link this page to their website or send this info out to customers. I received 2 videos during my dogs 5 day stay. Additionally it's not a personalized video. They send a 1 min video of a ton of different dogs out in a yard and mine was on there for like 5 seconds. Hardly a real update. 3. Amount of cage time - even with the highest package, my dog was caged 18 hours a day. I blame myself for not realizing until hours before I took him, not giving myself enough time to make a new plan. Most other places provide a lot more play time. Having my dog caged 75% of the day is not a good boarding facility in my opinion. I understand a dogs need for rest but my dog is used to going in his cage maybe 2-3 hours during the day and then about 8 hours at night to sleep. 4. Their hours are not flexible - the drop off and pickup windows are great if those few hours work with your schedule. They didn't work well with mine. Overall, I would not recommend this place. Wish I would have paid a friend the $350+ instead - he wouldn't have been caged 75% of the day that way either and I at least would have had a line of communication to the person watching my dog. read more

Thought to give this place a try and boarded my dogs here. My one dog is a rat terrier and weighs 30lbs. She jumped over their fence while were in Hawaii and luckily we were on our way home. Also, they charged me the price for 2 dogs $480, when I only came home with 1 dog. They also told us a absurd story how my dog attacked someone. I didn't believe it at all. Didn't think that was right that they charged us and they blame us for loosing our dog! Also, my other dog was shaking when we picked him up. He wanted to get out of there. The dogs there don't look happy. It's like a concentration camp for dogs! Wouldn't recommend this place. Ever!!!! Bottom line is, we trusted you to take care of our dogs. decent boarding. paid around $300 for less than a week and didn't get any photos or videos of my dog. you have to call and they will give you an update over the phone for free, but if you want photos or video, you have to pay five dollars per or something like that. I would recommend hiring a dog sitter or a personal border instead because my dog got injured and they didn't let us know about it and he had to go to the vet and we had to pay that bill. Also his collar tour so bad we had to throw it away and they also didn't let us know that or mention it. read more

We left our hyper but very happy and social puppy for a week while we were on vacation. We came to pick up and they had him ready for us, already bathed and smelling delicious. They had all his leftover food and items perfectly organized and it was just such a well run operation and you could tell that the dogs were all well loved and taken care of. Dogs only get 3hrs max of play time at daycare. I've been taking my dogs there for over a year and just found this out. So paying $25/day for dogs to be caged other 7hrs. The whole point of taking them to daycare is so they aren't caged all day. This makes me sad. Staff said it's bc the dogs " don't really play together after 45min so they cage them again to relax." just bc dogs aren't are fully playing doesn't mean it's not healthier for them to be out of a cage. Staff is so very nice, but I'll need to take to somewhere like Doggone Fun where they are cage free. Facilities clean so maybe if you just need to board? read more

We love Reynolds! Our dogs actually get excited when we pull into the parking lot and we affectionately call it our Doggy Camp when we go out of town. The setting we go to inTualatin is in a beautiful camp like setting.They are treated very well and always leave very happy! We have 2 golden retrievers and 1 labradoodle. read more

I think I've written a review already but wanted to reiterate my love of this place. My dog is a real pain in the butt. He barks at people when we leave, is scared all the time. This is the only place where he loves the people, has fun, and I feel comfortable leaving him. And despite his "challenges", the staff are always so nice to him and I. The recent reviews are correct, the dogs are LOCKED IN CAGES for the majority of the day. While looking in the room they were in, it looks like most of the dogs did not even have room to lay down and stretch out. Large rectangle cages for large dogs, small 'crates' stacked on top of eachother for small dogs. Adding playtime costs extra ($5/session/day, PLUS normal boarding charge), and the sessions are 45 minutes long, up to a max of 4 times per day.. That means they are indeed CAGED FOR 21 HOURS A DAY!! The staff was hesitant to confirm this during a tour, but admitted that this is the case. I am unsure why this place has almost 5 star reviews. Dont be fooled by the senic rural location of the business and 'farmhouse' look of it all. Nice staff, but they need to make some serious improvements to the way they do things. If you are okay with paying $40+ per day for 3 hours of playtime max, go ahead. Lesson learned, always take a tour and ask questions. Your dog would be better off at petsmart hotel. read more

I sent my, very stubborn and very strong, harrier hound mix to the Reynolds 10 day Board and Train program and she came back an extremely well behaved canine citizen! They provided her with a training foundation and also taught me how to keep the training going at home. They kept in contact with me with updates and were readily available with any questions and concerns. Tucker was my girl's trainer, and in the demonstration I could tell she respected him. She came back to me fit, obedient, not pulling on her leash (a real wonderful feat!), and tired, but not over tired. I felt like I'd sent her to a fun summer camp! Oberon, my anticipated large mini 15-35 lbs schnoodle puppy, turned out to be a 60lb fully muscled bodied schnauzer with an exurburant poodle personality. Without Reynolds day care and a month of immersion day care training, I'm not sure what I would have done. We LOVE Reynolds. The young adults who are the staff are sincere, caring and professional. My browngirl Bronwyn LOVES this place!!! We use it for the doggy daycare. I am happy to have found such great people to leave my bbygirl with while I am at work. I live all the way out in Troutdale but I work in Tualatin. I chose this place based on reviews and distance to my work but I would bring her here for boarding even if i stopped working out here. She is a very social dog but she does not like to be left alone or be without me. I started taking her here a few months ago, at least once a week is what I can afford. I would sometimes worry she didn't like it because she would be hesitant to go in...but I was sick and we didn't go for a few weeks and when I dropped her off she ran right up to one of the guys and was SO happy to see him gave him hugs and kisses and she ran right out back to the kennels. I also like that I can get her a bath there too. Super highly recommend this place, its great! read more

After a less than ideal experience at another kennel, we were hesitant to leave our dog with someone again. We did our research, and visited Reynolds ahead of our scheduled vacation and were excited to send our dog Griffey there. What we liked the most is that the dogs are outside in the play yard most of the day, with little time in their kennel (only at night, meals, and a mid-day rest I believe). We liked this as an alternative to other places where you only get 1-3 30-min activities throughout the day, but otherwise were in the kennel. We wanted our dog to have as much fun on his 'vacation' as we were on ours, and I think we accomplished that with the help of the kind people at Reynolds. Their patience with me calling to check in was appreciated, and we will definitely be back. Our dog came home happy, healthy and tired for 2 whole days. :) A win-win-win. read more

I have two pointers (Wire-haired Pointing Griffons) and I have boardered both with them 2-3 times. When they don't like a place the balk at going in, but not here. I have been bringing my dog here consistently for daycare for over a year and she and I absolutely love it. The staff are amazing and they take great care of her while I am at work. They know us both by name as soon as we walk in the door and my dog bounces up to greet all of them and then runs out to play. I love that you can add on a nail trim or an exit bath which really helps when you are super busy. I highly recommend them for anyone looking for daycare or boarding. My dog had been going here for 3 years. She loves doggie daycare. We try to go once a week, so she can play with the other dogs. She's also stayed for boarding from 1 night up to 3 weeks. We just boarded our 55-pound pit mix "puppy" at Reynolds Kennels for the first time. We toured the facility in advance and were very impressed with the cleanliness of the kennels and the professional nature of the operation. Baxter is an *extremely* high-energy boy - who *loves* other dogs - and so we were very happy with the idea of the four, one-hour outdoor free-for-alls in their super-big, fenced-in space. We picked Baxter up almost eight hours ago and he's still knocked out from his "vacation" - clearly a sign of how active he was while there. We will not hesitate to take Baxter there again for future trips (in fact, I'm getting ready to make that next reservation). I only wish the Reynolds family would add a space for troublemakers - maybe a separate, smaller fenced-in space for which they could charge a premium? Unfortunately, Baxter's adoptive older brother is a bruiser; he and Baxter get along fine, but we caaaaan't quite trust him with other dogs. Just a (purely self-interested) suggestion!! I really do not like leaving negative reviews especially for a family owned businesses. However, I was quite alarmed after my first day trial at what actually takes place. You must drop off no later than 9:45 am for daycare. You cannot pick up before 3:00 pm. The reason is because after the 10-11 am playtime, the dogs are put into kennels until 3:30 pm!! The phones are not answered during this time. The staff did not seem professional or experienced (all they do is a short online training course) and they promised to send me a video which they never did - as this was my first time. What concerned me the most is that they do NOT do any kind of assessment like most other daycares require. I posted on Nextdoor for recommendations and was surprised of all the negative reviews about Reynolds. Disappointing. read more
