Unwanted employees = mistreated pets Customers- please trust your intuition when bringing your pet here. You have no idea how your dogs day is going based on your interactions with the front desk. Yes it's pretty and has loads of room but really think about it first.. I WAS a customer of 2 years . My dog Mazikeen is a very high energy dog who has trouble connecting with other dogs because she's too much. This fact is something I KNOW . She finally found a place that accepted her and had friends to play with. I DO NOT bring her to daycare because I have to , I ONLY bring her for her to be able to play with other dogs. These folks constantly told me how much they loved my dog and NEEEEVER told me they had a problem with my dogs energy even though we constantly check and make sure she's welcomed there. I would never take my baby somewhere she's not welcomed. They've fired staff that adored my dog and have new workers CONSTANTLY. I just found out they've been letting me book play yards ( we do full day care with all play yards so she can have fun which is over $100) KNOWING SHE HASNT BEEN PAIRED WITH ANY DOGS FOR MONTHS AND DID NOT NOTIFY US. So not only have they been lying to us about her being an angel , they've been accepting payments from us for a service she isn't even enjoying. A couple of weeks ago (FEB82024) we took her to stay the night there and she was acting so freaking weird . We pick her up the next day and they didn't even feed her breakfast and it was 1pm??? I brushed it off and was like maybe they were busy.. we take her again a few days ago and she was holding on to me like I was taking her to the vet.. I drop her off then I walk back inside and ask the lady " is she okay? Everything is fine right?" She smiles and says yes we're all good here... something just didn't feel right. So then we find out she hasn't played with any dog for MONTHS.. like why not communicate with us and let us know she's too hyper so we just change the service or better yet just not bring her??? I call and ask the manager who's only been there for 3 months and tell her all of this and she was very kind and understanding . I ask her " do you typically notify customers if you can't pair the dog with a playmate?" She says yes or they suggest another service... so wtf??? Why wasn't I notified?? I called this morning to see if I could talk to the owner and they have not contacted me to clear this up. Soo anyone wanting to bring your dog here PLEASE. Try somewhere else . They have a high turnover rate and on theyre not honest with what's going on with your pet. I've recommended countless people here and I'm so sad I won't have somewhere for her to hang with other dogs. As much as this isn't about the money I feel scammed and deserve our money back for all these play yards since JULY, not feeding my girl on February9th, times she didn't get baths and WE KNEW she didn't but she paid anyways because we loved you guys.. YES- I'm getting her more training so she can go to a new daycare because I know she's a bit much.. I'm her mom I know my dog and what she needs to be trained for. AND YES- I know not everyone can deal with a hyper dog.. but we've spent over $2000 here maybe even more . The least we deserve is honesty so we're not a burden and my dog isn't the one in the corner with no one to play with. I would have kept her at home but obviously money is more important to you guys at LAK. Owner if you see this I'm so disappointed I don't even want a call back now. Our dog had been attending weekly--sometimes twice a week--for almost a year, 45 times in total. Each time we picked him up, we made it a point to ask, "How did he do today?" and every single time, we received positive feedback that "he did great." Based on these 45 visits, we thought everything was going well and that the daycare staff was happy with his behavior. We'd even invested in training sessions (both private and group) through them. Then, a month ago, the owner (whom we hadn't met before) was the one to retrieve him. We saw through the window as she aggressively put on his collar and yanked him out. We were taken aback, but after learning that other former clients had left due to her and issues similar to this, we didn't bother to complain. We hoped it was a one-off incident. Unfortunately, things got worse. Last week, we dropped him off for his usual visit and received a call just two hours later from--you guessed it--the owner, informing us that our dog was permanently banned for being "too hyper" and "endangering other dogs with his running." This was not only a shock but incredibly frustrating. He wasn't aggressive or harmful to any other dog; he was simply being a dog. For an establishment marketed as a daycare, you'd expect some understanding of typical canine energy. He doesn't have a mean bone in his body, as their own trainer has stated on more than one occasion. When we pressed for details, we were told this was the "final strike" and that our dog "doesn't listen." This accusation was both unfair and absurd, especially since we were never informed, not even once, that his behavior was supposedly an issue. Let's not forget we invested heavily in training with their staff. If his behavior truly was a problem, then the training was a complete waste. On more than one occasion, we had watched through the window after dropping him off, and the daycare often looked chaotic, with dogs running all over and a single worker standing there, blowing a whistle and tossing treats without any structure. Looking back, it also explains why our dog would vomit almost every day after his visits, on top of the smell of urine and rubber that lingered on him after each stay. He even contracted Giardia twice, which should have been a red flag for us to stop going much sooner. To add insult to injury, we still had one private training session left, but when we requested a refund for it, we were met with resistance and disbelief from the trainer, who claimed they "can't really refund one training lesson." The lack of professionalism, transparency, and basic respect for clients here is astounding. Save your time, money, and peace of mind, and steer clear of Doggone Fun Doggy Daycare.

They are clean, organized, always have 2+ persons on staff, and the owner is a dog trainer and behavioralist. She knows exactly how to train staff and keep the dogs safe and happy! Also they use chemical free cleaner for clean ups so it's not toxic to the dogs if on their paws and lick. I know about 10 other people who are just as obsessed with their fur babies as I am, and none of us have had issues. Highly recommend.

Turns out our 60 lb Border Collie mix prefers recess with the "Littles", and this was happily accommodated. We are very reluctant to leave our pup for lengths of time, she has some emotional issues that came with her when we adopted her as an adult dog. Thrilled to report she received the best loving care at Mountain Top, and the proof was that she marched right in on her second stay with no trepidation. That says it all. We don't often travel without our pup pup. But when we do, we know she is safe and happy staying here. It is a beautiful property and top notch care.

One week before my trip I called to reconfirm my reservation and to ensure the requested room with the patio was still on the reservation. I was told it was. When I arrived to drop off my dogs I was told the room I had reserved two months in advance and reconfirmed the week before, was no longer available as someone had needed it for a "medical emergency". As my plane was leaving the next day, I had no choice but accept a room with no outdoor access. I was assured the dogs would get extra outside time in the play area as a conciliation gesture, and that they would text me periodically to let me know everything was okay. That was on Thursday. By Saturday I had not heard from them and called 9:00 in the morning. I was told they were just now getting their breakfast. I told the woman it is 9:00, what do you mean they are just now getting their breakfast. When I made the reservation, I was told the techs arrive at 5:30 am and the dogs are fed by 6:00 am. Oh she said. that is only Monday thru Friday. On weekends they do not arrive until 8:30. I also asked why I had not received any text from them as promised. She informed she was sending me an email. She did send me the email and that was the only communication I received. When I returned to pick up the dogs on Monday, my wife pointed out most of the food we had prepared in specific proportions, was still in the container. Their reply was the dogs did not eat much. These two chow hounds devour their breakfast and dinner in less than two minutes. One of my dogs is on medication required to be given to her with each feeding. Three of the pills were still in the bottle meaning they did not give her all the required medication. Obviously, I do not recommend this place.

We have taken them on average 6x per year for stays that range from 2-3 days to longer stays of approx 10 days. We could not be happier with Tanner and his staff. First, let me say that when you drive up you see an old house but when you walk in the front door you notice the house is all for the dogs. The living room off to the right is filled with sofa's that are covered with easy to wash sheets and the dogs are allowed anytime to lounge on them. They have both a covered and uncovered outdoor area for the dogs to roam, get fresh air and do their business outside. Buckets of fresh water are everywhere and honestly, i've never seen dog poop where the dogs are all wandering around. Our dogs come home happy & exhausted from playing with the other dogs. 4 Paws staff have made vacationing less stressful knowing that they are so great with our dogs and our dogs love them as well.

Before we first boarded our two beagles I was worried my dog chance would have a hard time because he is a rescue and extremely attached to me (he won't even go on a walk with my husband if I'm not there!) before our trip barb suggested I drop my dogs off for a trial run. They did great and were both tired from playing when they got home. When we went to drop them off before our first trip they jumped out of the car excited to be at doggie daycare! I felt relieved knowing they were in good hands. The few times we've brought our dogs to barb and her family my dogs were excited to be there. They love the at home treatment and so do we!
