Fantastic, veteran owned coffee shop in the heart of Blowing Rock. The iced coffee was flavorful and well made. Service was friendly with great attention to detail.

Camp Coffee Roasters was the cutest little coffee and cookie shop (with an attached gift shop). We ordered a latte with non-fat milk and a honey lavender latte. We also ordered the Kitchen Sink cookie (didn't snap a picture) and it was DELICIOUS. It was chewy, sweet, and buttery. It was also massive. Our barista was super nice and created some pretty latte art for us. The coffee was warm, comforting, and everything we needed on a cold day. It was the perfect drink to sip on while walking in quaint, downtown Blowing Rock. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a delicious coffee (or cookie)!

Iced campfire latte -- chocolate and marshmallow.

Kind of disappointed. Read all these great reviews anddddd the coffee was just... okay. The menu is small and hard to read unless you're like up at the counter or next to be helped. I felt a little rushed since I had never been there before and didn't know what I wanted. People started coming in behind me so I ordered a campfire latte (at least I think that's what it was called! It had marshmallow and chocolate in it.) I paid close to $6 for a 16oz iced, with zero extras. Maybe that's the norm here, but where I come from, I could get a 24oz for that price. Anyway, I should have listened to the guy who said his coffee was watery cause he hit the nail on the head with his review. It wasn't bad, but it didn't make me want to come back either. Not sure how many espresso shots come in a small, but the coffee/coffee flavor was lacking. Maybe it would have been better hot, but who drinks hot lattes when it's like 80 degrees outside? They did offer an array of pastries, but I didn't even get the chance to look. Either way, the place seemed clean and other people seemed to enjoy it. Staff was nice, I guess. Not overly friendly or had any suggestions when I said it was my first time though. Maybe I'm slightly critical of my coffee and need to give the place a second chance, but I think I'll try a different shop tomorrow to see if somewhere else is better before going back. ‍

Wake up in the morning, first sip in this decorated local coffee shop, I love it. Super friendly service and local company ingredients, I had Cinnabon and campfire Marshmallow ice coffee. You also can get a nice hot breakfast sandwiches, jumbo muffins and cookies

This is a charming store with very interesting coffee menu. We ended up at this place after a day o hiking. It was a good stop. The location is very relaxing. The coffee was good as well. I had the Honey Lavender coffee which I found very delicious. Definitely go to this store if in the area.

This has been one of the best espresso bars I've been to in the high country!!! The espresso has been consistently exceeding my expectations! The baristas really know how to texture the milk and how to balance it out as well. Service was quick and really pleasant. The interior of the shop is quaint and cozy. This is a must try place.

With a name like Camp Coffee in the mountains I immediately circled this weeks before my trip because it's just about the coolest name I've ever heard for a coffee shop on my hiking trip throughout North Carolina and Virginia. It was honestly one of the more disappointing places we went for food/drinks during the trip. 1. We ordered iced caramel coffees and they tasted like water. The coffee taste or flavor wasn't really all there. Very watery. 2. I really wanted to take a bag of coffee home with me and their bagged coffee was almost $20 a bag. Now, I go to a lot of coffee shops in the South East and none are $20 bucks a bag. It's more of a $12-$16 dollar range. 3. The dude who made our drinks couldn't have been any more less interested in us. He was too busy having a conversation with some other dude in the shop. 4ish - Don't get me wrong - Camp Coffee isn't bad...it just isn't good. I recommend The Local Lion in Boone, NC for coffee.

Nice, local coffee joint on the edge of downtown. This little shop was just a few steps away from our hotel on the Eastern end of town. We wanted something caffeinated but cold in the afternoon so we got a large iced chai latte. The server was very pleasant and as a bonus, we used our Yelp check-in to get a discount. Then we enjoyed sitting outside and enjoying the outdoors before doing more shopping. They roast their own coffee and also have pastries and other beverages. We'll take an independently owned coffee place over a large chain any day.

Bald Guy Brew is one of those places you don't forget. The space is packed with old roasting…read moreequipment and vintage coffee gear -- it feels like a coffee-themed Cracker Barrel, in the best possible way. There's personality everywhere you look. I ordered a pour-over, and it was clean, smooth, and brewed with obvious care. Straightforward and well executed. I also had an iced latte with a Hot Honey flavor, and that was the surprise standout. The espresso held up nicely over ice, and the hot honey brought a subtle sweetness with a gentle kick of heat on the finish. Refreshing, a little bold, and really enjoyable. Between the solid coffee and the nostalgic, gear-filled atmosphere, Bald Guy Brew is a fun stop that's absolutely worth pulling off the road for.

The coffee is amazing, the staff is friendly and helpful with ordering! My husband is a fan of the chocolate muffin. I was there for the coffee! Day 1 tried the pour over, and Day 2 Nitro cold brew. Both were smooth and full of flavor. . They also sell local honey with a large variety of flavors and local meat. We got some burgers and pork sausage links to grill while in town, and they were really good. The meat is on the pricey side but that is expected with fresh local meat. They also have a small shop in Blowing Rock in case you don't make it here. Definitely put them on your list of places to go while in town. This bald guy knows his stuff!

So of course, since I'm in the area on vacation, I'm going there are much as possible! The place is quiet and unassuming- looks like a warehouse... Until you step inside and that smell of deliciousness hits you right in the face, soooo good!! In the past week, I have tried all of the specialty drinks on the menu- the Hot Tamale was especially surprisingly delightful- not too much spice, just a nice warmth. The Cold Mountain was also amazing, to me, it was the perfect iced coffee. The special this week was the Iced Coconut- it actually really tasted like coconut! My husband tried the drip and pour over- he's a black coffee drinker and loved them both- he loved that you can select different beans to try. I also purchased a 5 pound bag of my favorite bean- the Parkway Pick Me Up. Also love the Squirrely Blend. We also got the smaller 12oz bags to try a few different flavors when we get home. This place is the best. I wish I could give it more than 5 stars!
