A malt literally came out about every 5 minutes, with our order being 30 min in line and another 15 min for 3 malts. While part of the issue was one line being fulfilled and overwhelmed with a large order, we also noticed that the ingredients for every malt were being weighed/measured. I don't know if the owners realize that there is probably a more cost effective and customer friendly way to ensure the malts not only have adequate ingredients but also is more efficient and doesn't piss off everyone waiting in line.

The place is clean and tidy, there was a line, but it went quickly. The team behind the counter seemed like they were working well together. The person who scooped my ice cream was friendly and offered me a cup and spoon in addition to my waffle cone. I really appreciate this since it was a hot day. I also tried this place and have a review posted (spoiler: it wasn't a good review...) Starting on the sidewalk you follow a trail of ice cream cones! Adorable! Tucked away behind the boat club is a small pink stand that is selling big and delicious flavors! The service was extremely friendly and fast! I wanted to try a few flavors so we got honey lavender, mango lime sorbet, and vanilla. Each flavor was absolutely delicious and the textures were perfect! My favorite was the Mango lime sorbet! Very refreshing! The views here are soooo pretty! Be careful where you sit, many of the tables and chairs are reserved for the boat club members only. There were some benches and you can walk down the stairs to the boardwalk area to find more benches as well! I will absolutely be returning to this hidden gem the next time I am in Duluth! I paid $6.30 for one scoop and did not eat it. I don't think I'm that picky when it comes to ice cream. I'm trying to come up with how to describe it and the word chalky comes to mind - or styrofoam (what styrofoam might taste like if it was easy to chew). It's not that it's simple or less sweet - those things I can like and appreciate. It's just not good and has a strange texture. Crazy!
