So he came back the next day and parking was about $16 cash and then we had to pay per person to get onto the beach. I did enjoy my time at this beach because the walk from the parking lot to the ocean was quite short and there's restrooms available along with a very wide menu of food. The only downside is that you can't bring any alcohol. The sand was very fine without many shells, so it was great to walk on it without fear of being stabbed by shells or glass.

But, we visited yesterday (July 19th) and the horseflies were so bad that we had to leave. They were swarming on everyone, even with DEET bug repellent, we were still getting bitten. It was horrible. We have never seen it like this, and have been to this beach many times, at different times of the year. Everyone was leaving. I saw a man with so many bites that blood was running down his legs. Just want everyone to be informed in case you decide to visit. :(

The path from the parking lot takes you right to the waterfront, and you can continue on following the path along the gate (although I didn't go all the way around). Paths are clear and easy to follow to. As a side note, be wary of GPS. Mine wanted to take me into the military base, but the entrance road to the parking lot is next to the road to the military base; the last thing you want is the military coming after you. But the signs are clearly marked, so as long as you pay attention to the road and signs and not the GPS you should be fine.
