This beach is a bare bones, no amenities, animal friendly beach with no life guards, and hey, its free too. Do not come here if you need vendors, racked sand, lifeguards, rest rooms etc. The waters are pretty protected by a breakwater and the sand is pretty good, although not as nice as Wheeler. Its very family oriented and as mentioned you can bring your dog too. However all this comes with some social responsibility too, take your trash with you and clean up after your pet and do not assume someone will clean up after you. For those wanting to fish, the long stone breakwater is very popular.

    Packed! Can't park!!

Love anything that's dog friendly!! It's very small but worth it to be able to bring my dog.

Parking is $12. per car, and there is no fee for beach. Therefore, $12. for a carload. If you park on the street in Galilee, you can walk to the beach. My young grandchildren love this beach because they do not need to wear water shoes. The food operation that is at the top of the beach has good food. You can walk up to the window and order. That is a bonus! Two Lobster Rolls for $29. is incredible. My SIL said they were excellent: a generous amount of lobster on a toasted roll. You know the lobster is fresh because you are in Galilee where the fishing boats dock. Great beach plus food a few feet from the beach is a win-win. From the beach, you can see the Block Island Ferry, commercial fishing boats, and sightseeing tour boats as they enter the port of Galilee. Background: Scenic Galilee is a bustling fishing village and port located in Narragansett that is known for its large commercial fishing fleet, fresh seafood restaurants, and as the departure point for the Block Island Ferry. Situated on Point Judith, it's a popular destination for tourists seeking authentic New England charm, waterfront dining, and access to nearby state beaches like Salty Brine and Roger Wheeler. The village's name is inspired by the biblical region, reflecting its history as a home for fishermen.
