WORST COSTUMER SERVICE EVER - do not sign up!! I am trying to cancel my membership and the phone rep KT is so rude! She started the call off with an attitude! Ive been to camp 3 times since I went bold!!! Going Bold is the worst mistake I've made in my life! The phone rep is not listening to anything I have to say and keep telling me that I am not eligible to cancel. They aren't making any since on why I cant cancel! I've asked them to explain the contract to me because the cancellation part didn't make any sense. She wouldn't do that! When asking the trainer about canceling / cancellation they can't give a clear answer either and redirect you to call the call center. Which is a fail and I feel like I have been given the run around! Also Working out in the cold weather is not it. They don't have any indoor locations! So your working out in parking garages and out side all year long. Which is fine In the warmer months but not when it's cold! My trainer is great- I just hate he works for this scam of a company!!! Who don't care about there customers or the integrity of their own business! Nothing should be this hard to cancel! They just want your money! They don't care about there costumers! Such a SCAM!!!! I joined as a single mom in September 2019 for the 24 month commitment, then Covid hit and I financially could not afford a subscription I wasn't even able to use. They didn't care. They paused my payments for only 4 months (which did not apply to the 24 month subscription). So my new end date was January of 2022. Now, here we are in March of 2022 and they are still are charging me!!!!! They will be hearing from my bank as these are now fraudulent transactions. I DO NOT recommend them to anyone. If you go to the BBB website, they have 172 complaints. They are hard to deal with, and you will have to pretty much die to get out of the contract. They don't care if you lost your job or got laid off cause of corona and can't pay your bills. You can't call to cancel early cause it has to be on an exact date, oh but don't forget that date!! I liked the delivery format of doing virtual workouts online but as workout programs go, I like to switch it up from time to time. I decided to cancel my current subscription and after searching both the app and the website, I realized they will only let you cancel by calling the customer service number during regular business hours. Then when I did call, they said they would be charging me an additional month because you must cancel over 30 days in advance. I feel like these practices are a little shady - make it hard to cancel and squeeze another month out of you. Likely I would have signed up again in the winter if this experience had not soured me. Frustrating to say the least - it's all great until you want out of your contract and to be clear, I don't mean during the time I agreed to, I mean after that's done and i'm at month to month. Getting hold of anyone was near impossible then they wanted to freeze instead. then I thought everything would be cancelled and I continued to get billed, so disputed the charges and blocked charges with my credit card company only to have CG send me to collections and say I never called to cancel - they're shady at the corporate level - DO YOUR RESEARCH. Pros: So I enjoyed the workouts and they are great, the environment is fun and non-judgemental. You walk away feeling totally pumped. Cons: Its expensive and once you sign a "contract" YOU CANNOT GET OUT OF IT unless you have a Dr note that says you can no longer participate for the entirety of your contract. There is NO buy out option either. So be aware if you have financial hardship at any time you are screwed. Terrible experience. I never signed up for this service. I gave my ID to a coach who said he would sign me up for a trial experience, but it locked me in for a whole year. I never accepted the terms of service and I let them know this in multiple phone calls and emails. I notified them over and over again that I did not subscribe. They ended up sending me to collections and the collection agency filed with the TransUnion credit bureau totally screwing up our interest rate for a mortgage. I am very disappointed in Camp Gladiator's customer service or ability to do the right thing. Shame on them! read more

My rating is not based on the actual workout. My trainer Lissa was fabulous! I joined her location because it was convenient and the only location with times that work for me. I just got lucky with a great trainer. If this location and times were not available I would never had joined. However, now they are closing that location. I literally cannot attend anywhere else and they are requiring I complete my contract. I'm not closing the location. They are. I wouldn't want to end my contract if that location wasn't closing. They are taking away my ability to continue but they are continuing to take my money. Beware. read more

Please spare yourself a membership with Camp Gladiator. It will cost you unbelievable stress and money to cancel if you have to cancel due to a medical condition. They won't back pay you if you canceled with a doctors note when you send it via email. It was a simple mistake, I had no idea that I had to cancel through their chat line. I found this news out 4 months later that my membership was still being paid in full, when I have been unable to workout because of my high risk pregnancy and I was told over the phone that it was dealt with. I took their word. I spoke with the supervisor "Matthew" (on 10/29) and he got fed up with me and told me that he is hanging up on me. He said that he reviewed the recordings and no such thing happened. Matthew refused to let me hear the recordings. There was zero empathy of the situation I am in. There was a visible time stamp of when I sent the email to cancel. They should have received it and my email states that it was read. However, if you don't jump through the countless unnecessary hoops to cancel, they won't help you. I had to schedule another appointment today, to receive a note that had to include the words "cancellation" "indefinitely" and "due to current health status". This was a incredibly stress ordeal and I lost money while enduring a high risk pregnancy that has been incredibly stressful as it is. I love the coaches and the friends I made but I do not recommend how the customer service treats people. I will file through a complaint through BBB. No one should have to deal with this. read more

I have been going to CG for several years. In April, I signed up for virtual only as they no longer provided in person camp at a time and location that was convenient (a frustration in itself). The cost for 12 months virtual was $20/month. In September they raised my cost to $30 (50% increase). The contract with CG states they can raise their fee during a commitment period but that I have no option to cancel. It is my opinion that this should have been presented more clearly in the discussion when I called to commit to the 12 months. Also irritating is that they charge me for the full membership and then have to refund me each month for the virtual only membership-which I have continually tried to correct. There are several entries on the Better Business Bureau for this issue with CG. read more

The instructor was great. But, my wife got a job and had to go back to work so she emailed them to cancel. Two months of payments still when through. They would not refund her the money. We disputed it with the card credit company and got one payment back. My wife called them up and they talked her into "freezing" or putting the membership on hold. It was month to month so ????? I cancelled my membership a long time ago, but then received an outstanding balance notice 4 months later. CG forced me to pay this balance or else they would send it to collections, claiming they had no record of cancellation. As someone in college, I barely have enough money to make ends meet and I am very frustrated with this experience. Camp Gladiator is great if you can make it to their camps. Unfortunately, they keep changing their plans and if you're already a member, you're screwed. I signed up for 2 years feb 2020 for in person camps. A couple weeks later in person camps disappeared (covid) and they came up with a virtual option that cost less than in person camps. Despite not offering in person camps, they would not let me downgrade my membership to virtual only, and they kept charging me the higher rate for in person camps which didn't exist. Now that virtual is easier to attend than in person, they want to charge more to keep virtual and in person, but still won't let me downgrade to just virtual. Signing a contract apparently means they no longer care about customer service or satisfaction. Not to mention I never hear from my "trainer" who is supposed to motivate you. The potential is there and the classes, when you can make them, are great, but it's mismanaged for sure. I don't recommend signing a long term contract. read more

I have been with Camp Gladiator for over 3 years now- it has grown with new trainers and new workout locations and times! This workout is challenging, ever changing and fun!! I am able to bring my young children and have them there while I work out. Always a good community and support no matter your age, weight, goals or level- we have it all and we support each other no matter what. This is what I love most- the support- from your trainers, your fellow boot campers and the company. I know it is right for me because it is ever changing, I gain the muscle I want and I am never bored. There is always a week to try it out and I know you will come back for more! read more

I joined CG over 2 years and loved it! I have been paying for months without going and been out of contract for over a year now. My CC was hacked into this past Christmas and I have not updated my CC information because I thought about cancelling instead of paying $68 a month and I did not want to put my account on hold because they still charge you $5 a month to do that. WOW. So I called CG, messaged the trainer, chat online to cancel my account that I have not used in months but they tell me I need to pay January and February before I can cancel and if I don't they will report me. Great concept however ever changing coaches and locations. Extremely poor customer service. They make it difficult to access them for help (customer support/corporate/billing). I REALLY wanted to love this company/concept but the experience with corporate / customer service / finding options that work for me really turned me off. PLUS the multi-layer marketing gets old fast! Things you should know when signing up... Contacting THEM/CORP is difficult for billing or other issues. There is no "support" email address, all their correspondence with you is from a "no reply" email. There is no way to write a review on their website or on their FB pages. You can call an 800 number during biz hours, wait for hours then explain your issue, and their r response to you is an email that comes a week or so later from an email with no recourse or response allowed. Bottom line, once they have your money they don't care about YOU nor do they want to hear from you!! My experience was that they shut the location closest to me which made it difficult to get to classes except for 1 day / week. They wouldn't allow me to cancel my sub or put on hold until new site opened up that was more convenient. They said as long as it was within 30 miles of the old site, I'm locked in. However if you review the locations they are in urban areas meaning 30 miles can take hours to access. We all know convenience plays a major role in getting those workouts in. They said that I chose another site to be my site BUT the app made me select a new site before I could even move around in it to find other locations/times. So really they've made ME pick a site regardless if I wanted to or not, then used it against me when I needed more flexibility. They don't allow breaks in contracts other than if you move/health. Most other companies will at a minimum allow a break until either a new site /location or coach is available. read more

I was with CG on and off for about 2 years, so I'm not a new customer. I LOVED the boot camp, but the one star is given for their shady customer service department. Pay attention to the minor details when signing up for the 6 months auto draft deal. I was given wrong information from the customer service department about when my 6 months was up. I did as instructed and sent a note via fax(oh yes, you have to send a fax to their fax number which is located in Austin). After my last camp, I noticed that they charged my account for another month. I called the first time, the lady said they made a mistake and processed my "fax note" too late, and that they would refund my account. Lo and behold, they called me back and said the next camp was indeed my last session. So, I pulled up an email they sent to me telling me when my last camp session was. She proceeded to say, "I'm sorry, you were given wrong information, and there's nothing I can do." WHAT? You guys lie to me, and now you say you can't do anything about it???? So, of course, I tried to get into my CG account, guess what, can't get into it to look up the dates. You guys really disappointed this customer. While I loved the trainers, the customer service I just received makes me not want to come back. read more

I have the same complaint as many with the cancellation policy even when you understand the contract. I gave them a doctors note, they still wanted to charge me for the month because it wasn't within their "30 days notice" period even though it was before my next billing. I have read all of the similar complaints and the response of CG that they are taking peoples concerns into account. It doesn't seem like that is the case as I am writing this review months after other complaints. I would recommend going any other health and fitness route. It would have been a win-win scenario, and I would have happily restarted my membership eventually. Camp gladiator's Customer service is definitely one of the WORST in the industry. I tore my ACL & MCL back in June 2022 and called them to "freeze" my membership until I knew what I was up against, medically speaking.I sent a letter, as requested, via fax in November to cancel my membership due to my doctor saying I could no longer participate with CG INDEFINITELY. I tried calling to confirm receipt and could never get through (shocker). Four months later, I noticed they were continuing to charge me, full membership! The person I finally spoke to over the phone was zero help and said all problems need to be escalated to a manager, who they couldn't transfer me to and who doesn't call back for 1-2 days. Someone named Alyssa (Aly?) called me back and was extremely condescending on why the letter from my doctor was unacceptable. She is "apparently the TOP dog" because she said there was no one above her for me to speak with. She informed me that since the letter I sent in November had a date of July 1st on it, and that date wasn't within 30 days of me sending it to them, they could not honor it and someone should have reached out to me explaining that. I asked if they wanted my medical records as well as the death certificate of my mother-in-law to show I was a bit preoccupied planning a funeral and attempting to rehab my knee. They should be ashamed of how they handle scenarios such as this. Alright people, here is what you NEED to know before signing up with CG. It can be good with assumption that you commit 100% to your contract all the way to the end. So if you're committed all the way then this can be great for you. But for whatever reason you need to cancel, their policy gives very little to no room for reasonable cancellations. The only reason(s) they will allow you to cancel your account is if you a health related issue (need to prove) or change of address with no CG locations in the area (Unlikely). Notice how a PANDEMIC is nowhere on that list. You can be divorced... have a death in the family... or literally be robbed of all your money at gunpoint...it will not pass with them. They are willing to "freeze" your account... but that does nothing to your overall payments... it just extends your contract. My wife and I have called multiple times, asked to speak with a supervisor, begged and pleaded, and with very little remorse or attempted empathy... we were constantly told the same thing. So once again, unless you plan to FULLY commit... or if you have extra money sitting in your account to basically hand away every month... then CG is perfect for you. But if you're an average go-er like us, save your money and don't give it to them because that is clearly what they're more concerned about as opposed to proper customer service and care. Throw on a youtube work out and go with that. And Camp Gladiator, don't bother responding to this. Do not join Camp Gladiator. I initially really enjoyed it and enjoyed my local instructor, but shortly after signing up my job situation changed and I could no longer attend any of their limited times for work outs. They would not let me cancel meaning I spent about a thousand dollars without being able to actually attend it at all. I cancelled my membership online, but they continued to charge me for three months (again never actually attended.) Biggest waste of money with horrible customer service. I really did like my trainer, but she also left CG. I hope she is with a company that actually cares about its customers now. When Hurricane Harvey hit, sessions were cancelled, but no credit given. Should tell you a lot about who they are as a company. Don't waste your money. There are much better options. read more

The sign up process is intentionally deceiving - I thought I was signing up for a one year commitment but it turned out to be 24 months and there is no way to cancel or get out of it unless you have a medical condition. I have not been able to attend a class for almost a year due to scheduling reasons / life commitments but they do not care. They are just after the money. And the work outs were not even that great. No one is paying attention to your form which is incredibly important when using weights and could see getting easily injured doing them. read more
