Been going here for over a month now so I feel like I have enough experiences to write a good review. Long story short: This gym is amazing. The coaches are all awesome! I've tried out mainly crossfit classes but have switched between the 3:30PM, 5:30PM, and 6:30PM blocks. All are great, with a nice mix of attendee's (new/experienced). Everyone I've met has been really nice and welcoming and you never feel intimidated or forced to do something you aren't comfortable with. The coaches provide great feedback and pointers on form when necessary so you don't have to worry about doing something wrong or getting hurt. The gym itself is pretty big with a nice mix of equipment. Plus, there's a few pro's here that are super nice and great motivators! Def recommend checking it out! read more

Finding a quality CrossFit gym is hard to come by (in my opinion). I had a "home base" for several years prior to COVID and I struggled to find another after they closed. Camp Rhino had the same wonderful qualities my old gym did. The coaches are very friendly, the gym is very clean, and the programming is great. I would 100% give Camp Rhino a try if you are thinking about starting CrossFit or finding a more welcoming environment for your fitness journey. read more

Camp Rhino is amazing! Great coach's, great atmosphere, great people, and the equipment is top of the line! I usually go in the morning with coach John, and is he is such a great coach! He knows when you have more in the tank, but also when you should take it down a notch! I was fairly new when I started here, and they really helped develop my skill and form. This place is great if you are new to the workout world, experienced, or anywhere in between! If I could give more than 5 stars I would! I also really love and appreciate the sense of welcome you get when you walk in there. This is a long-overdue review, but I cannot say enough good things about Camp Rhino. I have been coming to this gym off and on for the past couple of years. The only reason it was occasionally "off" is that it is closer to home for me than it is work and I was working very long hours at the office up until recently. Now that I am working remotely full time, I am definitely ON again and my feeling of Camp Rhino in the time that has passed hasn't changed in the least. From my experience, all of the coaches are great. Special shout-out, however, goes to Coach Kailen, who, far and away, is an amazing coach. He knows your limitations, yet will push you to see how far you can go. He works with you when you have a crazy schedule - he'll stay late and come early. He makes you laugh but holds you accountable. Sometimes you're lucky enough to find a coach who combines passion with knowledge as a coach and that's what you have in Kailen. I trained for an MMA fight last year and was fortunate enough to have trained with some of the best coaches around and Kailen is lumped in with those trainers in my book. What I also appreciate about Camp Rhino is that the group mentality of the coaches and members is not exclusivity, which I found in many group fitness gyms. The coaches and the other members at Rhino all make new, or seemingly new members, feel at home and part of the Rhino family. Rhino has CrossFit classes, strength classes, conditioning classes, kids classes, beginners classes, and many more options to choose from. I began working out at Camp Rhino about one (1) year ago with a reluctance to try "CrossFit" workouts because of things I heard, and prior experiences at other gyms that had CrossFit style workouts and programs. I was bored of traditional weight-lifting and needed something new and challenging. I did a trial workout with Kaelin and stuck it out for one (1) month. I had no experience in the type of lifts that are required in CrossFit and historically got my exercise from running and mountain biking. I have attended every type of class with each instructor for the past year (obviously not in a single day) and have gotten great results. Ironically, I don't get injured as often as I did before starting CrossFit at this gym, likely because my body got stronger with good coaching. They offer a good variety of times for classes, which is also rare from my experience. All the coaches give you just the right number of corrections during your workouts, without providing 'correction overload." The first half of class is generally a specifically "lift," and the second half is a circuit, which they change often enough so it is always something new and challenging. I never thought I could do a muscle up and the coaches helped me achieve this in a short amount of time when i started trying to get the moves down. Lots of fun. I have three children that now attend the kids' classes twice per week; and my wife works out at the same time in a different class, which is convenient. The gym is always clean and the instructors are engaged. The equipment is kept clean and in good condition. With increasing costs of gym memberships, I am pretty particular about getting results. While this gym is not the cheapest, your certainly get what you pay for. I'd recommend this gym; there is nothing remotely competitive in the Centennial Hills / North Las Vegas area. read more

I can't help but give this place a 5 star rating. I've been going to their headquarters for years and when they announced they would open this location I couldn't envision how this smaller space was still going to provide the same great quality workouts and instructors but I shouldn't have even doubted. The owner Julie Johnston sacrificed her top two instructors, confidantes and support staff, John and Brent, who have brought their humor, knowledge, and meticulousness to head the charge of the Northwest location. Their creative petulance for endurance training is on full display through their Bootcamp series classes, which are guaranteed to create that special soreness every workout enthusiast craves; utilizing the parking garage and private running trail just behind the building when ever it's called for (and it's called for often). Not to be out done by Bootcamp thought, the class structure leads immediately into their Crossfit certified WOD classes for which they are fully equipped to handle with enough wall balls, slam balls, kettlebells, dumbbells, rubber plates, barbells and lifting equipment to make the most accomplished Crossfitter feel well taken care of as they rack up on Camp Rhino's very own custom engineered Rhino Rig. Under these ideal circumstances this location has attracted a series of new loveable faces; Bootcampers and Crossfitters now intermingle and push their fitness to new levels. Many Rhinos, not being able to pick between a Bootcamp or Crossfit class for that day will often embrace back to back classes, aka the infamous 'doubling up'. And even though NW Camp Rhino is only just now coming to see their first year open, Brent and John have continued Julie's vision of inclusivity by cultivating a supportive community for anyone looking to find motivation and fulfillment through healthy lifestyle. Best gym ever! Best coaches!! This gym feels like a community. I have never felt so motivated and supported as I do when I come here. I only do the group classes but the coaches are so helpful and they come to know you so well it's like getting personal training. I have struggled with body image my whole life but since coming here I have learned to focus on what my body can do, not just what it looks like. I recommend this gym to anyone. I actually thought I was allergic to working out but then I joined this gym; it is a great environment. It is motivating and John is a great boot camp coach. He cares about your health overall and wants to ensure you are pushing yourself but at the same time not causing any injuries. I saw a transformation in my best friend and her results have been remarkable. While my journey is at my own pace it is encouraging to be in a place where I feel like I am part of a workout family group and not just a number or monthly payment. Love this gym! All of the instructors are knowledgeable and helpful, and they seem to really care. I've had limitations due to a knee injury and they have worked with me so still get a great workout. I became a member after my first 6 week challenge...nearly a year ago. My only regret is that I didn't find Camp Rhino sooner. Crossfit can be a daunting sport. The amazing trainers take time before each class to review technique, and give extra attention to those new or unsure of the moves. The members cheer for and support each other like no other place I have been. Then there is Julie, the owner. I LOVE this gym! The coaches are knowledgeable (they can scale for anything that is a concern or if you are just beginning) and they are very encouraging. I'm a very average Crossfitter and always feel welcome and valued as a person trying to better themselves. The workouts are perfect for a wide range of levels, they have obstacles for training, and they do a lot of fun competitions and events to get people involved. I love the atmosphere of this place. The coaches and the members make it a fun and welcoming environment no matter your age or fitness level. They are also very accommodating, they will modify any move you need and also offer open gym in case you can't come during the scheduled classes. The coaches are really good at teaching and fine tuning technique so you don't get yourself injured. They also are great at encouraging and motivating you without making you feel pressured or intimidated. The covered parking and air conditioning in the summer is also a huge plus. All around its a great place to get in a really tough and extrememly fun workout. read more

I started coming here for crossfit, and I really like it! Yes, I've been sore everyday since starting, but I know I'm getting a good workout. The people here are really nice. I've been going to the 9:30 am crossfit session, and so far it's ranged anywhere from 4-8 people in the class. It's almost like personal training in a group setting, so I really enjoy that. I bought a one month deal from the NPR auction, but I'll most likely continue coming here after that expires because I like it better than my current gym. And since the groups tend to be smaller, you feel a sense of accountability when you don't go. Currently, I've been going every other day because I've been so sore. But eventually I'd like to work that up to 4-5 times a week. It is a bit expensive, so it definitely makes you want to go more often to get your money's worth. This place is beyond helpful! Everyone there is positive, kind, giving and encouraging! They take the time to walk you through the exercises and to show you proper form. They are also willing to help you modify and don't judge you. I am currently enrolled in their 6 week challenge and it is just a great program. No pressure, no judgment - just loving and kind people willing to help you become a better version of yourself. I've done similar challenges in the valley and felt a lot of pressure, judgments and not so nice people at the gym. I felt very discouraged. This gym is willing to work around any injuries you have and won't make you feel like you are making "excuses." They meet with you weekly to discuss your progress and they really get to know you. You are not just another 1 out of 200 people in a challenge that is grouped into the same thing as everyone else. Just a great environment and a safe environment that will help you get your health back on track. read more
