I got so lucky that they just happened to be in the area and came over within a few hours, picked up and stored the piano for 2 years because I didn't have the space for it at the time. I have read some of the other reviews about them trying to sell services, etc. and honestly, I don't understand what's wrong with that. They are a business and if they have products and services that help preserve the fine instrument, why would they not offer those services? A live pianist was on the program. For various reasons, we ended up securing the piano only days before the event. (It was disassembled, moved twice, and on the day of the event was reassembled at the venue). We knew we would need to have it tuned after the moves. We asked around through Yelp for tuners who could be available to meet us at the venue in a few days, just a couple hours before the event and get it tuned. It was a tight schedule because there was also sound check happening, but Ansel came right in, did the job well, and left, and we were able to start our event on time as planned! I was helped by a tall young salesman named Chris (i think) who was knowledgeable about the keyboards letting me know the differences between them. I appreciated not feeling rushed or hustled and was given however much time I needed. He answered all my questions well and politely. I had inquired to another store about their keyboards but they never got back to me so I placed an order with San Ramon Piano instead through their website when I got home. They were prompt and I had immediate customer service helping me out. Within a week my keyboard arrived as they said (and they offered to let me borrow another ES120 till it arrived!) He arrived on the dot. The last time my great grandmother's 1879 upright which weighs at least 800 lbs, was moved, it took 3 guys. I felt bad when I saw it was just him like maybe I should have provided more information on what kind of upright we were dealing with, but he made it look easy and handled the piano with great care. I wanted to watch the whole operation but didn't want to make him nervous haha. Then, after the move was completed, he played it a bit and revealed that it had been muted, for who knows how long, and showed me where the mute slide was. I then got to hear its full voice for maybe the first time ever. Amazing. Sadly our new home flooded the following week and we had to move the piano a little for the mitigation and will probably need to move it around some more for renovations but at least we know who to call if we need help.
