This place is definitely rave-worthy. Pros: - Very very very tasty food - Plenty of gluten free options - Plenty of seating Cons: - Food took a while to arrive when it was busy - Parking nearby was a bit difficult (though doable on side streets)

Expected it to be much more moist fall off bone-like but it was more like a roast beef cut you might find at a buffet. Brisket Jus was not bad. - Side Jambalaya - this was a tasty version of jambalaya with flavourful sausage, chicken, onions in a simmered sauce. - Pimento Mac N' Cheese - nice cheesy mix of mac and cheese with a ketchup panko topping. Service (3.5/5) - was a bit slow and had to flag the server couple times. Maybe because was out on the side patio. Atmosphere (3.5/5) - it's a bit of a rustic feel overall, dark and dim inside and outdoor patio has rustic patio furniture and tables. Overhead rollable patio cover and heaters to support colder weather and rainy days. Overall (3.5/5) - found it ok overall. Thought the facilities and service might be a bit more premium based on the prices. Yes the prices are premium for the portion sizes imo... although they build the gratuity into the prices.

Fantastic bbq. Best in the city!…read more Wife surprised me with this for my pre-birthday. Didn't know it was Michelin recommended and I understand why. This place tastes amazing. Angus beef brisket was perfect Texas bbq. Juicy, great flavour, perfect flop Short rib is the best beef rib in the city. Juicy, unctuous, meaty. Amazing. Honey garlic wings had excellent smoke. Fantastic. Mac and cheese was delicious and cheesy. Best I've had in toronto. Maple smoked beans were ok. I wouldn't order again though. Poutine has a great gravy that had a nice depth of flavour. One of my favourite poutines. Tri tip had chimichurri on it which was a nice touch. Tougher of meat is not my preference but still had great flavour and smoke. Beef ribs were decent. But short rib better. Of note is that all the beef items are seasoned differently so you can order it all and have different flavours. One thing to know is the place is a bit of a dive. It's not pretty, but boy is it delicious. It does come off a little less clean than it could be. Cashier guy was friendly, but a bit slow. Not a big deal though.

Their meats are smoked over seasoned wood logs, and the menu has everything from Angus brisket and beef ribs to short ribs, chicken, wings, sandwiches, and some loaded platters. It's a casual spot where the focus is clearly on smoked meat and big, filling portions. We ordered "Angus Beef Brisket 1 lbs" and "Sample Platter 1" for 6 people and we had leftovers. Angus Beef Brisket is a must-try here and their pink chicken is very famous and delicious. The smoky flavour and tenderness of the meat makes this place very popular amongst smoked meat-lovers. The staff are friendly and helpful. You need to allow around 30 minutes or so for each order to be prepared.

All the food is tapas style so be prepared to spend a pretty penny to be full! We started out the night with some cornbread du jour on the house. Little mouthfuls of soft cornbread seasoned with herbs was a good start. The tartar was one of the better dishes with great seasoning and the chips held up surprisingly well. The brisket was a nice, tender meat with a good meat to fat ratio. I can see the effort placed into this dish. Unfortunately, even though the fish had a delightful crisp skin it was a little dry and lacking in flavour. The smoked cauliflower was the most disappointing. It tasted more like raw cauliflower than anything else. Not sure where I was suppose to find the smoked flavour but it was the weakest of all the dishes. Will probably be back to try out their cocktails but not again for dinner.

I can only comment on the first floor as I didn't see the upstairs. The inside is functional enough, the furniture nothing fancy, but there are nice little touches of decoration here and there: framed art and mirrors on the one wall, old black-and-white photos hanging clothespinned from strings on the other, a chalkboard which that day bore a quote from Hunter S. Thompson. There is a standing area with a counter set in the wall opposite the main bar, so looks like they anticipate the placing becoming quite busy as an after work spot. There is a nice selection of bourbon and scotch available, as well as some tequila and other spirits. Ten taps for draught, which look like they will likely be rotating, and included some ordinary lagers and also more crafty IPAs when I visited. There is a selection of options on the menu besides beef and pork, including a variety of seafood. I got the brisket and was rather unpleasantly surprised to see it come as only 3 small slices with a few ramekins of sauce, given that it was $19, which seems mighty pricey to me. It was delicious if not a little on the fatty side. The sauces were just ok - one so spicy you can't taste anything, and the chimichurri was pretty oily. Can't fully judge as it just opened, but I hope the place is a success and other items on the menu are a little more value for the money - otherwise this would just be an ok place to stop in after work for beers.
