I picked up my senior pug with this severe wound two days ago. I paid for the upgraded boarding that had the camera monitoring option and asked that our dog only be with his companion and no other dogs. I had no missed calls, voice mails or emails that my dog was injured under their care. I picked him up like this a day early which is when i found out, right before pick up. They put a stop bleed powder on him to stop the bleeding while I was there. They said they don't know what happened and the incident was not recorded on camera. I took him to the vet here in town and they confirmed it is a puncture wound with significant bruising all around. I chose them because they had amazing reviews online, everywhere. But, this has just been really horrific for us. I'm sure this type of injury hurt my dog. I now have vet bills and meds for my senior pug because of this. I only got an automated email the day after thanking me for choosing them. They have yet to even reach out to ask how he was when we left. I wish I never took my pug here. What a terrible experience.

This dog is a "no-B.S. and ain't gonna show emotion" type of dog but his leg problems had been going on for 4 days and he was whimpering and was crying all night long. I was so thankful to find Royal's Pet Taxi and because they were very sympathetic to my situation they were willing to come from Elgin, TX to very Northwest Austin (Steiner Ranch at 2222 & 620). The driver Jerry was extremely helpful and sincere. He was so good with the dog. The van is equipped with a few different style of cages and also an open area for a Pet Stretcher. They can also be clipped to the vehicle components if they just want to sit. The business does offer the service of just transporting your vet from A to B, waiting at the location and then transporting back from B to A without your attendance. But I had already intended to ride to the vet's office with them. My situation was not that I couldn't be with the dog but I had no way of transporting the dog. And the dog could not be lifted in without a stretcher because he had a recent surgery incision wound at his side. For the service they offer, the pricing is very reasonable. This business is amazing and really should be known all over Austin!

They are CLOSED!? I was super annoyed. Does everyone who washes their own dog not work during the week or are kid free to come in the evenings? Sundays seem like an obvious day you'd get business. All that aside, I decided I'd give it another try this week. Voila, It's Saturday, here we came! Before we got within 20 feet of the door both my pup and I could hear the dogs tipping and barking. I wasn't sure if I wanted to continue, but we pressed on. (Maybe it was a super fun doggie dance party and they were all excited???) My girl started refusing to go in... again, I should have just turned around and called my groomer. Alas, I did not. When we opened the door we were warmly greeted by a woman who was smiling and kind but whom I could barely even hear over the obnoxious barking and high pitched squealing of almost a dozen mini yorkie and chihuahua puppies. It was NON-STOP. There was another chance where we could have just cut and run, but no. The woman was so nice and I'm a sucker for trying to not offend people, so I smiled and entered the little booth. The tubs are nice and it was pretty straight forward to go hi re out how to use the water sprayer. There's a little harness to keep the dogs from jumping around too much. I felt AWFUL for making my girl stick it out in there with all the noise. I, myself, had a hard time keeping my heartbeat regulated. The yipping was dizzying. There were two towels sitting on the gate that i used and a blow dryer that felt a bit hot but I think you could adjust it? There was no way I could have asked for help because we couldn't hear our own thoughts let alone instructions on how to use something LOL. The brush was wet and dirty from the last use. There was hair in it. Not a huge deal because it's a bit weird to use another dogs brush on your own dog, right? Or they should be clean. Anyway, I feel like it's important to note that all those dogs were NOT customers. As I was checking out I asked why they were there and said "it messed with the ambiance and experience for sure!" I was told they are the owners dogs she is trying to sell. Ha! I told her that I'm sure they could sell them faster if it was nice and quiet in there and they had a lovely wall of photos saying puppies for sale. So, that's it. My review. I hate leaving bad reviews and I'm not sure I'll go back to try and do a good follow up and add some stars: my pup and I were pretty traumatized by it all. Notes: nice lady Should be open Sundays Please clean the brushes? And for the love, it would be awesome to have more of a "spa" experience instead of feeling like we went to the puppy mill.
