I said all that to say that I wish I would've gone to Betty sooner! I got my dog Beast in 2022 and for some reason it was really hard to find a groomer--no one was taking on new clients. I scheduled my appointment online with Wholesome Doodle, answered a few questions and uploaded a few pics of what I wanted Beast's cut to look like. I was able to get aN appointment fairly quickly. Upon meeting Betty, she felt around for mats and helped me come up with a mat that would be best for Beast. Unfortunately, we had to shave him down pretty low during his first grooming appointment, but that was no one's fault but my own. Things got In the way and I didn't brush him as regularly as I should've and many mats formed. Following the appointment she provided us with a folder with care and maintenance tips for his coat. Betty is highly experienced and will explain everything going into the appointment. She does great with Beast and I recommend her to everyone!

Anyway, we had him two days and he needed a little cleanup. I gave them a call and the owner Kevin (owns business with his wife Jennifer) spent so much time explaining their process for a dog like ours, the care they take, he may need muzzled, etc. I instantly felt like it was the right place while we were talking. Made the appointment for the third day he was with us. It was amazing!! Our dog was perfectly groomed and he was a brave guy who didn't snarl or snap at all! They didn't even need to muzzle him. All of my fears and concerns were alleviated by Kevin, Jennifer and their team. Everyone cared about our guy and wanted him to have a safe and calm experience. I can't recommend them enough. I was told 7 mins before his appt that they were running an hr late since previous appointments needed more time and that caused our appt to be pushed back. How's that my problem? They should've allotted the proper time. What's insane is the company requires 48 hrs notice to reschedule or cancel, or you'll be charged but they don't grant you the same courtesy.(also must have your card on file) Insane. I'm actually quite mad. I canceled. I better not be charged a cancelation fee or this will be an immediate dispute w my credit card company. I've attached a screenshot of the lame text I received 7 mins before my scheduled appt. After reading other reviews, this seems to be a reoccurring issue with the same groomer, Kayla. Since reading other reviews, I'm grateful to have canceled this appt after reading reviews of them leaving cats and pups with bloody paws and being returned wet. Our old groomers no longer seem to work here, but we still rave about the kindness and care the team showed our pups back in 2021. 2026: Our new pup arrived to us covered in mats so severe I had to trim some myself, leaving him a bit uneven. We scheduled a grooming session but didn't realize he would be receiving a "first-time puppy cut," which is different from a full grooming appointment. I completely understand the difference, but I wish I had been informed upfront, as I was expecting a full-body cut--especially at the price we paid. A month later, we tried a different groomer, Ivy, after seeing a Goldendoodle cut on their Instagram that we loved. She did an amazing job! As a reminder, per most pet grooming policies, all dogs must have up-to-date vaccines before their appointment. Additionally, there is now a late pickup fee if you arrive more than 30 minutes after your pet's session is completed.
