ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL PROJECT…read more We previously hired Outer Image in the summer of 2011 for a backyard pergola, patio, and a fire pit, as well as a redesign of our front entry. That project was on budget and on schedule and because of this, the project was very successful. My wife and I both have keen attention to detail and everything was completed with utter satisfaction. We continually were complimented on the overall design of our property and this was due to Steve and his creativity. Fast forward to the summer of 2020, we decided that we wanted to change the pergola out for a covered patio as we wanted an area to sit that was protected from the weather. We had multiple contractors price out the project and ultimately decided to hire Outer Image again. Steve's pricing was competitive; in addition, his design and attention to detail are what made us ultimately chose them again. Since our original pergola was still structurally sound from 2011. Outer image recommended keeping the main structure and just removing the top pergola portion to build the vaulted roof structure. This was a huge cost saving to the budget. Outer Image took care of all of the drawings, designs, and permitting with The Woodlands. As soon as we received approval, they worked with us and the pool contractor to coordinate the schedule, site access, and overall coordination so we could complete both projects on time. There were some roadblocks with typical Houston weather and the Outer Image crew was very accommodating and continued to keep the overall project in line. In addition, any questions that arose during the project were addressed and reviewed directly by Steve in a timely and professional manner with a thorough explanation. During this process, we added some additional scope by changing the original 2011 wood deck to an Azek material, replacing some gas pipes in an outdoor fireplace, as well as adding some lighting and electrical to the new structure. All changes were easy to make and the team at Outer Image was happy to accommodate them. We have moved into 7 different houses over the years and improved each home's landscaping ourselves. This time we wanted someone else to do the work and were fortunate to find Archer Services. We were 100% satisfied with every part of the design and installation process. Michael listened to what we wanted in both visual appeal and functionality, and developed a design; Aaron put it together visually with a 3D design and answered all our detailed questions; Alex helped us get the design approved through a very challenging HOA process; and Ryan led his superb crew to execute the design while keeping us informed on progress and any issues. Having built 5 swimming pools in the past, I was pleasantly surprised by the customer service side with this company. It couldn't have been less stressful. They basically do exactly what they tell you they are going to do. A rare commodity these days. If you are on the north side of Houston I don't know why you would use anyone else. We were adamant that they do their best to save the trees. Even though they couldn't guarantee the trees would live they did their best. We had a great experience from start to finish. They created a design that wasn't over the top but…read morewill still fill out beautifully with color over time. It matched exactly what we discussed during our visit at the house and really brought our vision to life (and they were reasonably priced compared to all the other quotes we received). They helped us pick out a great tree for the front yard and did an excellent job with the planting. They also installed a whole new front flower bed (with trees, shrubs, and decorative rock), removed the old vines on the back fence, and handled tree maintenance quickly and efficiently. As a bonus, they were able to offer sprinkler system services and run water from an existing line over to the new tree and get the system back to functioning which should make everything seamless with the constant watering schedule needed on the beginning. The only hiccup was that the pool was left a complete mess after removing the vines next to it the first day. However, we messaged Noe (the lead) and he came out that same night to make it right. We really appreciated how quickly they addressed the issue. The only delay in the entire project was with the faux vines that were supposed to be replacing the live ones -- but that wasn't their fault. The supplier only shipped half the order. They were professional about it and didn't request the remaining payment until the final portion was completed and they came back and completed it when promised. Overall, I would highly recommend for anyone needing any type of landscaping done.
