Absolutely beautiful place. I cannot wait to go back. We had a room right on the water, and I didn't want to leave. One night was not enough. We got a special rate, but I would certainly be willing to pay full price. All guests get full priveledges to the private beach. The hotel is located in downtown Chelan and within walking distance to several shops and restaurants. We had a whirlwind visit, but fully intend to come back when we can spend a bit more time. read more

It was my second visit to Chelan and second time staying at Campbell's Resort. The room was clean and welcoming. I especially loved the black and white photos of people playing in the lake from long ago. The facilities are well maintained and the staff were phenomenal. Hands down the worst customer service experience of any resort I have ever stayed. I work in the high end of customer service and I know the difference between first class and the rest. Filthy facility all around. (See attached photo). This was when we entered the room, not done by us. Requested housekeeping 3 times and at 6:00 p.m. still no service. Requested towels both days. First day took over an hour and a half. Second day after repeatedly calling front desk with no answer, we had to go to front desk to get our towels. Campbell's is certainly not the place it once was. Nearly $800.00 for a 2 night stay in what they call a "Superior Room" is just laughable. The filthy garbage cans in the stairwells are just an added stinky bonus. Given our current Covid pandemic, you would assume cleanliness would be a priority. I've been visiting Chelan for over 30 years and know you could book anywhere in this town and do better than this place. Overall, I enjoyed my stay at Campbell's, although I have a few questions about value. We stayed in a traditional King room, had a room on the first floor with our own little porch w/ table that opened up directly to the pool and beach beyond, with great views of the lake and surrounding hills. The room itself was nice, not terribly large, but not cramped. Bathroom was very small, but very nice granite-looking fixtures. The shower head produced steady water pressure with plenty of heat, although it was a bit low - eye level with me, and I'm a bit vertically challenged. The toilet ran constantly (despite maintenance coming and claiming to fix it), but with the door shut, you couldn't hear it in the room. I'll expand further on sound proofing later. The bed was comfortable enough, and we had a TV, microwave, and mini-fridge in the room. The resort had a lot of good stuff on site. There were two pools and hot tubs, all of which were in good shape. There was a pretty long stretch of private beach and docks. They also have a nice beach bar that serves both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, an on-site restaurant, fitness center, and business center. Free wifi and parking are also provided. We went during Memorial Day weekend, which we now know is the hot time for college kids to descend upon the lake en masse. Despite this onslaught of day-drinking undergraduates, the resort did a good job of keeping things under control. They had security guards - and full cops - patrolling the premises day and night. Guards were posted at every entrance, and no one was allowed in without a wristband (you had to specify how many were staying with you when you made the reservation). The walls were surprisingly soundproof - open the sliding door, you can hear the mayhem, close it, it disappears - other than the herd of elephants doing Tai Bo in the room above us, that is. All in all, they did an admirable job keeping order, while still letting them have their fun. My largest complaints center around value. I realize it was a holiday weekend, but this place was expensive. Almost as much as I paid for a highly-rated 5 star hotel in downtown Portland last Memorial Day. On top of that - they offered no continental breakfast. Really? That's one of my favorite parts of staying in a hotel! Even at the cheap motels you can even find something rudimentary. So that aspect was a little disappointing. Also, I paid extra for the "romance package", which included a scattering of rose petals in the room at check in...except, they were fake, basically confetti. Interesting choice. Those complaints aside, it is still a great place to stay at Lake Chelan, in a great location, close to town, wine tasting, and of course, the lake itself. I might recommend avoiding Memorial Day weekend if you can, but even still, they did well to keep the experience enjoyable. I recommend it here. read more

I am long time visitor of Lake Chelan year after year. My first visit to Campbell's was 15 years ago. However, we transferred hotels after the first day due to the filthy conditions of the room. I decided to give Campbell's another chance since many years had passed. The sandy beach is so nice and the only one in Lake Chelan other than the State Park. The day I checked in I took for granted the hotel would be clean as they had measures in place during COVID-19. The morning of check out I pulled back the sheets to ensure we didnt leave anything. To my surprise and disgust there were dried blood stains in three different places. We didnt notice these prior as the stains were toward the end of the bed and under the tightly tucked in top sheet on the headboard. The front desk immediately sent out the head housekeeper. She was very kind, apologized and ,took the sheets away immediately. Only after asking the front desk how they are planning to handle this situation they provided a 25% discount over the two day period. Mr. Campbell (Owner yes his last name is Campbell) phoned me today to tell me they are a clean hotel, the blood stained sheets were an oversight, and their customer service is stellar based on the fact they took care of the problem right away and provide a discount. I have a reservation I made prior to this incident for July 5th and 6th. I asked Mr. Campbell if housekeeping could make up the sheets due to my warranted fear. He said that isnt possible due to havingmany more guests during a very busy time, however they would take pictures and send them to me prior to my arrival. I agreed to this as a compromise. Once again, I did express my dissatisfaction with their resolve of only a 25%.discount. I am completely alarmed by the dirty sheets that my daughter slept in for two days. Explaining at the bare minimum it would be better to provide a credit for 1 day of the 2 days I stayed, Mr. Campbell said we have done enough. Keep in mind the additional amount would be $140 from the $169 they provided. We ended the call with my response, I hope you can understand my position as a customer and he said I hope you can understand ours. it pains me to write this warranted review of the hotel as I know it is very popular. Sadly,my biggest concern is the cleaniness they state during COVID-19. If this happened during COVID-19 what are the rooms like during a regular circumstance. For all I know the bed had not been slept in weeks prior therefore housekeeping never looked. Campbell's Resort is the most popular place to stay in Lake Chelan therefore they are able to take any stance in my opinion. They will continue to have large crowds day after day so it is not important for one customer to be unhappy. I have canceled my reservation and will not be staying at Campbell's again. In reading the comments by Tom C. to my response note they are erroneous. I was never offered a discount during today's call. The blood stains were in three different spots. The Head housekeeper and her assistant held up the duvet where one spot was. There was one spot underneath the sheet tucked into the headboard, the other spot was in the middle of the sheet, and the third spot was at the end of the comforter. Sadly, I never thought in wildest dreams this hotel would be unethical or untruthful just to earn a buck. If you look at the most recent YELP reviews on Campbell's Resort you will see there are multiple negative reviews with one that addresses cleanliness. Customer service at the front desk was bad! I came to check in at 3:38 pm ish which I know is early. She said "Your room is not ready it should be ready around 4pm." Then I stated "Oh, But check in as at 4pm correct?" She said "We will txt or call you when it's ready." (Convo ended at 3:45pm ish) We went off and had a drink at the Pub & Veranda. At 4pm still NO call NO txt...We waited till 4:30pm then walked back into the lobby. I went up and told the same girl (Berenice) "It's past 4pm and I still haven't received any call or txts about being able to check into my room! I paid to be able to check in at 4pm" She said "Oh sorry I forgot." Bad excuse....Do I get 30 extra minutes to check out since you forgot??...I stayed 2 nights. I will probably come back again but hope for improvements. I came back for the the location, view, and the bar staff at the beach bar are so nice! I love them! The resort needs some major TLC and minor upgrades. I hope that it has some improvements by the time I come back next year. read more

You just can't go wrong at Campbell's. It's beautiful and amazing in summer or winter. The rooms are nice, clean and comfortable and you can't get much closer to the lake. The staff is always helpful and nice and it's within walking distance to some fun bars. This was our 2nd time staying here for a conference. The first visit was great, and I was looking forward to staying in a nice room with my husband, because that was our experience the last time. We were given an enormous room in Lodge 5 Beach, which sounds great, but it felt like we were out in the boonies away from where the newer rooms were. Don't get me wrong, if our kids were traveling with us, this would have been fine, outdated pink bathroom and all. The water pressure in the bathroom was really pathetic, so plan on taking extra time to rinse that shampoo out of your hair if you're in this building. As soon as we walked in our room, I called the front desk to see if we could be moved. They were completely booked out the first night, but they were very accommodating in moving us to Lodge 3 for our second night. They moved our bags for us, and that was really appreciated. Our room in Lodge 3 was great. Tasteful and modern with perfect water pressure in the bathroom (although the shower head in the newer room seemed really low compared to the one in the older room, which was unusually high). If we had been stuck in the first room for both nights, I would have been really disappointed. We ended our trip on a good note, though. read more

2.5 stars... I'm torn because our family has hd a lot of fun here in past stays. We always get the double queen rooms in the ground floor. The positives: super convenient to hit the pools or the lake and we love the beach access. It's near everything you want to do in Chelan. The cons: for $400+ per night I would hope the beds would be more comfortable. We are a family of 5 so we use the pull out bed in the sofa which is horrifically uncomfortable. It's squeaky and paper thin so you feel every metal spring in the bed. Cabinets, microwaves, and fixtures are dated. We are staying during Covid-19 so they are doing limited contact aka reduced service for your rooms. Housekeeping will only come in every three full days to service your room and bring towels. Usually this is a daily service. I get it, but they are downgrading you in service aNd keeping the price the same while NOT reducing the number of patrons on the beaches and using pools. I called for more towels and wash clothes and asked they get dirty towels and remove garbage but all they did was bring two more towels and leave them in the bed. I had to call twice to get them to even do that. The service has been particularly terrible this year. It's disappointing to pay so much and feel like you got jipped the resort experience. Not sure if we'll rebook after this year. read more

We stayed here right before the busy 4th of July weekend which is the calm before the storm. Our room was in 3451 which is a one bedroom suite. It has a king bed with a jacuzzi tub and his and her sinks. The living room has a pull out couch that sleeps two. We also requested a roll away bed which is an air mattress. There is also a small sink with a fridge that you can keep your drinks cool. There are several swimming pools on property. Why use the pool when you have the beautiful Lake Chelan right? Our kids had lots of fun swimming and renting the paddle boards and kayaks. At the end of the property towards the 4 & 5 towers you can rent boats and jet skis. Stevie checked us in at the front desk and she was fantastic! She was very friendly and made our family feel like we have been staying at Cambell's for many years. We can't wait to come back next year! read more

We went to dinner on 7/24. The service was not great and the seafood pasta dish was basically inedible. The halibut cheek I received looked like a dried piece of leather. The crab was well passed it's prime and the overall dish was very dry. In addition, the vinegarette was tasteless and the shrimp and crab cakes were burned. I was shocked that for a $30 pasta dish, they didn't offer any bread. The waiter did ask of everything tasted good and when I said no, he just took off. This is a fantastic place to take your kids for a few days. The room was nice and had plenty of towels, soap, tea, and a hair dryer. The deck was the right size and had a nice seating area. Campbell's makes swimming easy by having pool towel service. One less thing to worry about! The beach was sand and they rake it each morning. We were always able to find a few open beach chairs. Campbell's has paddle boards and kayaks right there to rent and they are next door to a boat rental place and across the street from the grocery store. We had a great stay! Loved it! read more

This is our 2nd yr in a row staying here. Spacious rooms, all with a view of lake. Rooms have plenty of room for young children to play. Right on main street with all restaurants and shops. Walking distance to all of them, as well as Starbucks, grocery store and large park. Hotel has its own small beach but has duck itch warning signs - they even sell duck itch crème so recommend avoiding the beach. One pool and two hot tubs. Great restaurant for every meal. Rents its own paddle boards and kayaks. Overall I recommend it. So why the 3 stars? A trainee checked us in and even though I told her we are Loyalty Members, she did not tell us that we were entitled to get 20% off at their restaurant as Loyalty Members. We learned about this discount upon check out and even though we were very loyal to the resort and ate at the restaurant 6 times over 5 days, they would not credit us the 20% off the restaurant bill even though they admitted the person who checked us in should have told us. I even talked with a supervisor and offered a compromise of 10% and they said they would never issue a credit after the fact, even though it wasn't the customer's fault. It is easy to offer good customer service when there isn't an issue, but how a company REALLY operates is seen when their is an issue. Are they customer focused or not when the customer has an issue? In this case, the Loyalty Program actually made me a dissatisfied customer. read more

Jon, the manager, was attentive and inquired about our experience which was thoughtful. Our teenage girls loved the pools, hot tubs, but most of all, swimming in the lake. When my crew walked into Campbell's Resort, we immediately knew that this earthly vacation paradise would be the ideal setting for us to conduct a close-up investigation of a wide range of human life forms. That's exactly why, as captain, I had stealthily arranged for us to stay in three different rooms over the course of our three nights here. Sure, it might look to the hotel staff like we were moving around a lot because I was the sort of disorganized last-minute travel planner who had to take whatever rooms were available, even if that meant moving every night. But in truth, that last-minute booking was just a way of ensuring that my crew would be able to observe the resort and its denizens from every possible angle. We began with an aerial view: the third (and top) floor of Lodge #4. Our room was an immaculate double queen room, and very well arranged with a microwave and refrigerator that allowed us to take a break from Earth food and indulge in our native cuisines. The small balcony provided a panoramic view of Lake Chelan, the surrounding mountains, the Campbell's lakefront beach, and the pool. This allowed us to witness such activities as "family togetherness", "group BBQ", "aquatic horseplay" and "boating". The only down side to this third floor room was that it meant carrying all our equipment up a flight of stairs -- and I'm telling you, Starfleet does NOT make its mission gear with portability in mind. On our second night, we stayed on the second floor of Lodge #4, which meant we could practically drive up to the door of the room. That made things much easier, and we had an even closer view of the beach. That night we were in a king room, which led to some conflict over who would sleep on the sofa bed until I reminded the junior crew members that as captain, I get to choose my own bed. On our third and final night (after a sojourn in Stehekin, about which I will write separately) we were in a ground-floor king room immediately adjacent to the lawn and lake. This was by far our favorite room, since the larger patio had a table that could fit the entire crew during mess time, and also had a larger seating area inside. Best of all, the proximity to the lake allowed us to take note of such human catchphrases as "can you grab me a towel?", "where are we sitting?" and "damn, this water is COLD!" Being notably tougher than the American humans, none but our science officer found the lake water at all uncomfortable. Rather, we enjoyed its refreshing temperature, and the clear water that allowed us to confidently venture forth without worrying we would be devoured by a two-headed aquatic rodent like the red shirts on our last away mission. As much as we enjoyed the Campbell's Resort facility, we were delighted by its central location in Chelan, which allowed us to sample the local food and shops without resorting to our terrestrial vehicle. Even more, we appreciated the universal warmth and helpfulness of the Campbell's staff, who -- whatever their suspicions about our actual planet of origin -- did their best to ensure a delightful stay. We sure hope Starfleet can arrange another away mission here! read more

When we checked in Marin greeted us with smiles and upgraded our room to celebrate our 30th anniversary. The room is updated with a lovely balcony overlooking the lake. The resort is clean, pool well maintained and the sand beach spotless. We will definitely be back. read more

Campbells is a nice place! I have stayed here twice now and both times enjoyed my stay. They have a variety of rooms and the view is unbeatable. The conference room that they have is great & the food we had for lunch and dinner apps were all really good! My room was in the second building, opening up to the beach front which was pretty awesome! I didn't like that everyone could see me laying on the bed if the shades curtains were open, but the view was too beautiful to want to keep it closed! I would love to stay there in the summer when there is some warmer weather. The bathrooms are pretty outdated, both rooms I've stayed in have had toilets that have some damage that just look bad and make them look dirty (Cleanliness is good though!) but other than that its ok. The only really weird thing I had to deal with is I was coming for a trade show night of a conference that was there for a whole week. I always bring a coworker or two with me to help out, but usually don't know who that will be until a few weeks before. A few weeks after I booked I got a call from the hotel asking me why I was only staying there for one night, when everyone else was staying for a week? Who is the name of the person staying in the second room? Why do you have two rooms? It was all bizarre. Maybe they have been having prostitution problems at their hotel or something, but I was very thrown off and unhappy with how that was handled and the tone of the caller. I almost canceled and stayed somewhere else. Since we have been doing the same thing for the past 6 years I'm not sure why it was a problem this time. read more

I can't think of anything negative about this place. This was my second stay in about 10 years and it was worth the 3 hour drive. From the friendliness of the front desk, the clean & beauty of the hotel rooms (with everything you could you possibly need), to the beautiful pool, amazing onsite restaurants and location...how could you go wrong? We just happen to book our say months ago for last weekend when the weather in Seattle was 80's and sunny our entire stay. What are the odds??? We did a bit of shopping in town, slept in (with a later checkout), had a few drinks and ate some amazing food! This place is perfect for events, weddings, honeymoons; a girls getaway (in my case) and we'll be back for sure very soon to celebrate our anniversary. It's a MUST go! read more

I would give a zero star review if I could but I cannot so this is the best I will do. Me and my family have been going to this resort for 18 years with an annual convention group. The group itself has given lots and lots and lots of money to this resort and this year was ridiculous. The owner himself was extremely rude getting in my family's face because she has a sensory disorder and couldn't wear her bracelet. He continued to give her a hard time throughout the weekend and we had to remind him several times. Not to mention the cleaning service. On our last day we needed our room serviced and they insisted that they were unable to and we turned housekeeping away which never happened since we had our please service our room on since 7 in the morning. We went through multiple people to try and get our room serviced. We eventually got to the service manager where she was extremely disrespectful and called us liars to our faces and calling our frustration inappropriate. We are extremely disappointed and if it wasn't for the fact that the size of our group could not be accommodated anywhere we would be leaving. But to those who can go somewhere else their are a lot of beauty places around the lake including lake view condos. read more

Have stayed here many times, so it is sad to note that the place is not as special as it was. With limited sit down restaurants, we took the Resort's suggestion and bought a burger kit - everything to self BBQ dinner. We were told that there were picnic tables and grills available. Well, only if you got here days early. Several extremely selfish people had claimed all of the tables with grills. Loaded the tables with toys and towels so no one else could use it even briefly. And Campbell's staff did nothing. Did not confront the guests or add any signage to suggest people share the limited tables. Watched this go on for three days. Ended up throwing the meat away. They both were rude told me that can't give us the join in room. They don't care even I stayed in the resort before. I was upset both of them waste my time and ruin my family vacation. The only thing great about this "resort" is the location and you pay a fortune for the location and the view ... the rooms are below average. I couldn't believe the fortune we paid for the rooms! Those rooms definitely were not resort standards.. it was like sleeping at an "inn". What's worse is that there is no room service or standard housekeeping service at all! If u need something you have to walk to the front desk and get it. What shocked me is that we arrived at 12:30am Friday nite, there was no way to get any food there, the front desk asked me to drive to Walmart that was 2 miles away to get some food. Fair enough... no big deal... however we didn't get to bed till 3am and so decided to sleep in, guess what, the housekeeping only cleans rooms till 1pm so if u aren't out of the room they leave u a note that says sorry we only clean between these hours and now we will be back tomorrow to clean, meanwhile if u need towels ask front desk?!?! What the hell!!! You pay OVER $300 a nite and they will not clean your room because you slept in???. I hate not having my rooms cleaned so we chased down housekeeping when we woke up and paid them extra money and begged them to do us a favor and clean our room as they were off duty by the time we got out of our room!! Anyway, when u charge big bucks, have the decency to hire longer hours of housekeeping! Don't cut hours on ur customers that pay big money to stay at your hotel by having limited hours of housekeeping! I pick hotels over air bnb becoz I like someone else doing my bed and love coming back to a clean room... if I wanted to skip a day of cleaning I would have rented a house in chelan. My point, step up your game.., there is way too much competition, pay your employees to stay longer so that ur customers can sleep in and still have clean rooms!!!! I am giving 3 stars for the view... the "resort" was subpar! Rooms weren't amazing. The restaurant is awesome!! Stayed there for one night as a quick getaway for my wife's birthday. Not our first time there and the stay was going about as well as we expected. The pools were nice and the room, although small, was about what we expected. I paid for the birthday package and the balloons, cake and decorations were as advertised. The front desk on check in was very friendly and helpful. We ate at the restaurant for dinner and had a wonderful meal. Overall service was below average though. Twice I stopped by the front desk on my way back from a walk into town and asked for items to be sent to my room (forks for the birthday cake, and early the next morning an extra bathroom towel). In both cases after waiting a while I had to call the front desk again before the items arrived. But here's the reason for the one star. BED BUGS. My wife woke up the next morning with numerous bites on her sides and back, with a higher concentration on the side she sleeps on. I checked the internet and confirmed the nature of her bites were extremely consistent with the pictures and description provided online. To make matters worse, when we told the front desk at check-out, she seemed clueless about what we were talking about and went to the back room to "ask her manager." The manager never even came out to talk to us. It left us feeling like they didn't care. We go to Chelan once or twice a year and usually stay at either Campbell's or the Grandview apartments across the bridge. I think it's safe to say we will NEVER stay at Campbell's again. read more

This is my first time at Campbell's resort and I'm pretty disappointed -- the common areas are fairly dirty for a "resort." In addition, I had to call the front desk three times to have pillows brought to the room, instead they basically told me to stop by the front desk to pick them up on my own way home from dinner. I'm definitely a little torn for this review. The location of the resort is 10/10. Right next to downtown Chelan, Safeway is behind it and resort is right on the beach. Outside of the location I can't say I recommend. Customer service needs work, I checked in just before the 4:00 check in and there were a handful of other guests checking in. No problem, except there was only 1 person checking people in. Whole process took 30 min for me and there were quite a few people behind me. We wanted to order to go from the restaurant but we were only allowed to order from their designated to go list of items. I don't really understand having this menu, just put items in a to go box rather than eat in the restaurant. Panini was underwhelming, Safeway would be better and half the price. Pool bar was closed so we could only get happy hour if we sat in restaurant. We had 2 kids so we were hoping to get drinks by the pool. It was open week prior to us being there and week after. Lost revenue I'd say. If open this would be great! We did end up having happy hour in the restaurant since we had a gift card we needed to use up. That waiter was great! Food however, not so much. Also, $8 for a kids smoothie is criminal. I'd walk down the street and explore some restaurants. As for the rooms, we had a beach front 2 bedroom, $300 a night and dirty and old. Idea of this room is perfect right on the beach with picnic table. They claim cleaning is better due to COVID but I'd call this dirty even prior to COVID. Rooms need some serious updating. Also, parking is very hard to find here for these rooms. I suggest the front desk tell people to drive down to the marina and go all the way through. We spoke to a few others that complained about lack of communication. Again... customer service. Loved the beach and it was set up nicely next to the warm pool, but needs to be cleaned. Founds glass and cigarette butts in the sand. Not the best for a 2 year old. Overall upgrades, better cleaning, and some customer service improvements could ultimately make this a 5 star resort. I feel they use their nostalgic theme to delay any improvements. But that doesn't make up for lack of cleanliness and customer service. read more

My family and I stayed here for three nights over my kid's spring break period in April. So we were here at an off-peak time, when the resort hotel and the whole town of Lake Chelan wasn't busy. It was cold and rainy, and the summertime lake activities weren't available (renting canoes or kayaks or paddle-boards, the volleyball games on the beach, lounging in the sand or even swimming in the pool). Still, the lake was gorgeous and the view from our window was lovely, and it felt good to walk along the lake shore at sunset with no one else around. Very pretty and very relaxing. The hotel itself is reminiscent of resorts of yore. It reminded me of places in the "Borscht Belt" of the Catskills in upper state New York, in the 50's and early 60's (anyone see "Dirty Dancing"? Then you get my reference!). It is sprawling, family-oriented, and I imagine they have lots of activities for families to participate in during the peak summer season; I see that they advertise beach concerts, outdoor yoga, "aqua barre" (whatever that is), and a children's fishing program. The actual hotel itself, too, looks like it's out of the 50's; if you are expecting a contemporary spa-like aesthetic, this is not your place. If, however, you seek a warm, nostalgic lodge-like vibe, Campbell's is right for you! Our check-in was fast and easy, and the counter gal was very friendly. I loved the bowl of apples on the counter, complimentary for whomever wants one (or two). Our room was outfitted just fine, with two beds (pretty comfortable for my liking), a microwave and fridge and coffee machine, a great flat-screen tv, a private balcony (we were on the 2nd floor with a lake view), and a separate work/desk area and bathroom. Everything was clean and well-stocked. Everything was in working order (at one point our toilet didn't flush though, but maintenance came to fix it well within the hour). Our heat worked fine. I thought the room quite nice! I liked how they give you a complimentary newspaper each morning. We also liked how you can walk everywhere, as the hotel is on the main drag. No need to drive to the shops. And there's a lovely, large Starbucks just a block away, too! We loved the restaurant (the Pub & Veranda) so much, we dined here both nights of our stay (see my review of the restaurant). My only qualm about this place, and why I'm deducting a star, has to do with maintenance: the first full day there, nobody came to clean our room. We were gone all morning and returned at 2pm and it still was unkempt. We called the front desk to say we wanted our room made up please, and we would be leaving again, to return by 5pm to ready for dinner, to please have someone come by to make our beds and supply fresh towels, etc. while we were away. Well, you guessed it, we left and then returned at 5pm and our room STILL was unkempt! We were not happy at all. We called again and a lady and a man came promptly, while we were there (we were all dressing for dinner, too), and they worked like techs at a Nascar pitstop during the Indy 500: boy, were they fast in cleaning up and making the beds and all! Still, the whole arrangement was less than ideal, and it was awkward as we were readying for dinner. Oh well. This didn't recur on the subsequent days of our trip. I would love to return here in the summer-time to experience all the activities they offer. read more

Too expensive and misleading information given. We reserved 2 bedroom terrace suite with a full kitchen and paid already. When we checked in and got to the room, it was only 2 beds and not a kitchen, a sink with coffee maker and plates. Very misleading. Front desk attendant said that we only reserved a room with 2 beds. We asked for what we ordered or even a refund, or another room to be given free of charge to correct the mistake we made. Campbell's only gave us adjoining room with additional rate. Charged us $2,500 for 3 nights for both rooms!! Not even apology for the mistake or misleading information or confusion for the guests. When I asked why so expensive and if we can get lower rate, manager says not possible because business is bad currently. Are you kidding me?! At least for the customers you have be more accommodating and helpful. I'm happy we left after 1 night. They did refund us the nights we didn't stay so that is good. However, I don't recommend because not accommodating or helpful to guests, too expensive, rooms are nothing more extra than other hotels. Highly recommend Lakeside Lodge instead. read more

This was a nice quiet christmas getaway. The price was pretty good and we had a nice water view. Most things were closed because of christmas but the outdoor hot tub was open for use. Chelan seems pretty small but it has a cute little downtown area. Unfortunately everything was closed for two days except for a dive bar across the street and the grocery store. We wanted a quiet weekend and did not want the crowds and chaos (or costs) of Leavenworth but Chelan was completely dead. Overall we had no complaints and were aware that things would be a bit dead, but I guess we thought Chelan might be a bit bigger with a little more to do. Overall I think this is probably a nice place to stay, but we picked a bad time to visit. read more

Our second stay here was pretty bad. The rooms had been re-done since our last visit and were nice. That all for the positive comments. Chelan is great, but the town is not the same as the hotel. I'm reviewing the hotel only. It is over-priced for what you get - period. If you are expecting peace and quiet this is not the place for you. Every step taken by the people above us could be heard and the kids jumping off the bed and slamming doors repeatedly makes it hard to sleep. The free wi-fi log in process is extremely complex. They give you a card for each device that you then must carry around with you to re-login. The username and passwords are complex as opposed to say, your room number and name? Username was jll6j5zj7 and password 3jcgnc. Wow - how ridiculous! Oh yeah and it was repeatedly up and down Don't expect any service at all. The folks at the front desk always smile and say they will take care of an issue and then nothing happens. We had serious functional issues with our room and despite repeated calls to the front desk - never got a call back. My wfie finally went to the front and the same person she talked to on the phone lied to her face and said he didn't talk to her. The Veranda restaurant is also one of the worst I have ever been to. read more

I just came back from Campbell's. The place is located right on Lake Chelan. There are a ton of rooms, but for some reason, there weren't many people there, which was great. There are two or three pools and a hot tub. We basically had the run of the place. There are a bunch of decks on the lake to sunbathe in or secluded fishing spots if you're into that sort of thing. Overall, it was a pretty good experience. There maids and service staff were pretty nice as well. They brought us a ton of extra towels and foil for the grills. The rooms weren't particularly large, but you're spending most of your time outside anyway. The town outside was pretty quaint. There's also a riverwalk. Overall, the resort was a very carefree, relaxing experiences. View is great too! read more

Poor service at the kayaks and paddleboard rental Update: the attendant named Kenny was extremely rude. After nicely helping out a white family, he took over my ticket, asked "is this yours" then threw it on the table in front of me. I didn't engage but this rude and racist behavior is completely unacceptable anywhere, esp at a hotel renowned for hospitality. I don't know where this teenager is getting his education - he should probably develop some basic manners and patience before going back to the hospitality industry. I stayed at the hotel on a Monday (for a hefty price) expecting a good service from their reputation. However when I tried to get half an hour of kayak rental for my daughter with their coupon. Even though the kayaks are simply sitting idle on shore, the attendants keep telling me they are fully booked and will not bend (I asked at least three times during two hours) even though I told them I will wait to take a cancellation or I will only squeeze in half an hour and come back as soon as they run out (which they never did. Not even close. Two kayaks never left shore- what the heck). The attendants have no empathy, poor manners and the system of reservation with no deposit or cancellation policy is completely stupid! Disappointed and infuriated. Don't come here. read more

The staff at Campbell's is very warm and it is a great location right in the middle of Lake Chelan. It is clean and comfy. The beds are a little firm for me but they are not that bad. For what you get and the deck Campbell's is a 5 star but I prefer hotels with more guest services, thus the 4 stars. I just like to have room service and everything. Yup! This place is exactly what you want from a resort on a hot and beautiful lake. Im not from Washington, im from California, and I have to say Campbells took me home for 3 days! I can only imagine the nostalgic memories people must have of coming this resort/lake when they were kids. Its completely family friendly, but all the teens and youngins who were partying it up in their rooms were here too- but you wouldnt know it! The rooms must be seriously sound proofed because we were 3 adults and 2 kids 1 1/2 and 3 years old, and no one had any trouble sleeping all through the night. At 10 pm I would sit out under the full moon and read next to the dock where all the boats were moored. The adolescent (although very respectful and not rowdy) teenagers could be seen walking with each other- how many first kisses occurred there is a question my sweetly nostalgic brain pondered, causing me to reminiscence about my own youth. But I digress! I love this place! My sister who I convinced to come, loved it so much, she booked a room for Labor Day when her husband (my bro-in-law) would be back from Iraq on his mid-tour. I believe he loved it too, especially since he spent it with his 2 kiddos that he wont see for another 6 months . . . The rooms were adorable- obviously decorated with a professional touch. Modern yet very inviting. The only thing I wished for differently, was that we had gotten a room on the ground level so that we could walk out to the lake from our patio. But thats the best tip i can give you! Be sure to get a ground level room! It was a very small negative- one that doesnt really matter except for future trips. Oh and the 2 kids loved it too! They were exhausted every night, and they LOVED the hot tubs, and swimming pools and the lake as well. We were so happy the 3 year old was enjoying the water, because he had just visited California and wasnt too sure he liked pools. But Campbells gave him a different environment and he relaly enjoyed their pool! Thank you for a wonderful family vacation! read more
