a food truck with a menu on the side

I definitely enjoyed my meal from this food truck- I ordered the chicken cheese steak combo ($10). I liked that it included green peppers, jalapenos...and they didn't charge extra for it like some similar trucks. The service was great and I'll definitely try them again.

I haven't seen them at Capitol South lately; hope they come back. I love the Mouth Burning Cheesesteak.

Cheesesteak was just okay. The meat needed seasoning. The bread didn't stand up to the toppings. We got a free drink though!

Whatever the cheeseburger is made of tastes a little weird. The fried were decent. I don't think I'd come back. To each his own.

I think this truck may have rebranded itself from a cheesesteak truck to a Mexican truck.

To be honest I'm not sure if the protein matters since there is so much happening in the bowls. You can tell everything is fresh, maybe the exception are fries are already cooked and not to order. Doesn't bother me since they still had good texture. Cool atmosphere and felt very inviting. Didn't try the green sauce but the red sauce is very mild. I much prefer this to other bowl spots and it's pretty convenient to get to. We'd want to try to cafe as well.

It was my first time at cafehive and I was impressed by the large selection of drinks and desserts on the menu. On this visit, I only tried their coffee, but I will definitely come back to try their desserts. I love the concept of the build your own desserts with the unlimited toppings! As for drinks- Tiramisu latte is the most popular and banana bread latte is one of the new ones and was recommended to me to try by the cashier. If you are deciding between the two, the tiramisu has the stronger coffee taste whereas the banana bread is sweet with a slight banana flavor. The only thing I will say is while the menu is beautiful the drinks don't really come out looking like how I expected based on what I have seen on Instagram with all the foam and toppings.. maybe an off day but the tiramisu latte I thought had mascarpone cold foam for example.

It's located in a strip shopping center, so parking is super easy and accessible, and the restaurant itself is very easy to find. Walking in, the space is extremely clean, well-lit, and nicely decorated. Now let's talk about the real highlight: the variety. They have dinner plates, bowl options, and à la carte items. I went with one of my favorites, the lechon. They were out of the roasted version, but the staff recommended the fried pork instead, and it did not disappoint. I came in around 7:30, and they close at 8, so I was trying to be mindful and not hold them up. But the woman at the counter was incredibly kind and told me not to rush at all--"you're already inside, take your time." That level of hospitality really stood out. She even took the time to walk me through the menu, which I appreciated, even though I'm already familiar with Filipino food. The food itself? Amazing. The lechon was perfectly crispy, flavorful, and cooked just right. The portion size was generous, and it came with two Lumpia that were hot, fresh, and delicious. It also included a soda, which made it feel like a complete, satisfying meal. Overall, this place is a 10/10. Great food, great portions, and even better customer service. I'd highly recommend stopping by.

The women working here were kind and helpful. You order at the counter in the back, and they will bring your food to your table. Menu options abound, but the only menu was the display screen above and in back of the counter. Unfortunately, the display screen is hard to see and there are no descriptions with the pictures/items. Mang Eton really needs to provide some printed menus. While the online menu does contain descriptions, the online descriptions don't necessarily match what is available. Anyways.... For a starter, we ordered the siomai. These were plump and tasty. We wish they would give more of the excellent dipping sauce than the tiny thimble of sauce that they do give you. Note: the combo meals also include a couple pieces of siomai. I ordered the Combo #1, which came with a piece of fried chicken, 2 lumpia, shrimp chips, rice and pancit. The lumpia had an excellent flavor. The fried chicken and pancit were okay. JP ordered the Combo #3. The only difference between the Combo #1 and Combo #3 is that the Combo $3 comes with fish instead of chicken. It also comes with a skewer of meat (pork?), which was good. We were the only non-Filipino customers. I plan on coming back to try the halo-halo dessert and to order some more yummy siomai.

The menu is not your typical hot dog stand as you can get burgers, cheesesteaks, and a variety of sides and other items. Depending on when you stop by, there could be a line and the food is made fresh, so the wait might be longer than expected. However, the food is really good. I plan to stop by again soon to try other menu items.

We ordered two burgers -- the classic smash burger (lettuce, tomato, mayo, and cheese) and the BBQ bacon burger (grilled onions, bacon, and BBQ sauce) -- along with their famous cheesesteak combo. Everything was absolutely delicious, and I can't recommend this place enough -- especially knowing they're part of our local community. I've walked past this gem so many times without realizing what I was missing! It's tucked away in the Home Depot parking lot on Little River Turnpike, so don't sleep on it. I'll definitely be back to work my way through the entire menu.

When I review restaurants I don't review based on one visit; that is the dumbest and most ignorant thing to do. You actually have to go at least twice or more to base your conclusions. The shawarmas are flavorful and hits the right notes for a proper Lebanese style shawarma, and yes do be slurping that sauce. He changes his menu items sometimes and adds items, for example he has a Mango smoothie type drink which is refreshing. His salads are proper and abundant. Great flavors on the grape leaves which are nice small and tight. Hand wrapped daily. Great spot to pick up food as it's next to the 7/11 and La Mart supermarket. The hubs spotted this while we were on our way to another spot, and I am glad to have been able to check this place out! The menu offers various appetizers (hummus, baba ghanouj stuffed grape leaves, falafel, and kibbeh), salads and bowls, wraps, platters (that come with a side of fries), and even kid options. I ordered: +hummus - thick, creamy, and had a slight tang to it +baba ghanouj - super smokey and thick +stuffed grape leaves - this was shared that it was very good and homemade; definitely more tangy-er +kibbeh - freshly-fried and comes with 3 pieces +beef shawarma wrap - comes with shredded lettuce, tomatoes, sliced pickles, and garlic sauce; filled generously with seasoned beef strips, this can be a mess to eat with the dripping sauce! +chicken shawarma wrap - comes with shredded lettuce, tomatoes, sliced pickles, and garlic sauce; filled generously with seasoned chicken (seemed like breast is used?), this can be a mess to eat with the dripping sauce! The food, overall, was okay - we weren't a fan of the shawarma as the seasoning in the beef and the chicken were just off, and both meats were a little dried out. There seemed to be an influx of patrons stopping by, and it was good to see such support for a local food truck! Just note that even though there's a menu board posted outside of the truck, there are no prices listed; there is a paper menu that you can request. We spent about $50+, plus gratuity, so it's definitely more on the pricier side. I was disappointed that they didn't have the lemonade with mint. Parking can be tricky, as it's in a gas station, so it is tricky to park off to the side. Super friendly staff! +stuffed grape leaves! +request a hard copy of the menu for prices +friendly staff! +card accepted! +located at the Shell gas station
