Frank deserves a raise this man was very nice and he must move 50 miles a day easily the store doesn't even have a printer near the service writers. First I was having an issue with my water heater on a brand new Cougar the heater would not light on LP gas so no quick recovery. I was in Seattle WA and was heading north to Fidalgo Bay I'm 3000 miles from my dealership. I called The Camping World in Burlington WA. Asked for service luckily I got Frank Bennett I explained the situation and said I was going to be heading north on Friday did he have any openings Frank said stop in at 1:00 PM. So I got there around 1:00PM waited for a very busy Frank to finish what he was working on when he was done we walked out to my fifth wheel opened the compartment and Frank not being a little man stuck his head & shoulders right in found the circuit board controller he was looking for pulled it out tested it and put in a new one and before 2:00 PM. I was back on my trip with a working water heater. Frank fixed it himself now that's SERVICE Thank you Frank. read more

We went to camping world to get some new stairs installed. When you go there no one cares. The people who work there have zero interest in you coming to see them -there is no friendly customer service there. When we pick up the trailer we found out the horrible workmanship they offer. The stairs were not straight/centered, there were multiple screw holes that were unused. The screws that were used were driven in at an angle. They didn't clean up the sawdust and debris AND they left the old stairs on the trailer...for us to remove..!!The manager didn't much care and said "yeah it doesn't look great... what would you like me to do about it?" While picking up our trailer they pulled it out to the front of the store and then left. When we tried to hook up we found out that they had drained our battery and They were completely dead to the point that we couldn't lift the fifth wheel to hook up. It was a joke trying to get someone to help us. Were there over an hour trying to jump our own trailer batteries in the front of the store!! Unbelievable! Never again read more

This should be 6 negative stars! Drove an hour to get the part. Also tried to special-order another part which phone-lady said I'd have to come-in to do...and this turned out to be false (strike #1). They wanted to charge shipping - to their store only - no drop shipping to my house. (strike #2) Manager (Mark) was smug and arrogant about not waiving shipping. (strike #3) They had the part, and sent me up front to checkout where their register staff said I could have purchased at the parts desk (strike #4). Their system charged me full-price even though I had their Ad saying the part was on sale - which register lady fixed after I complained and showed her a printout of their ad!! (strike #5). She tried to up-sell with membership renewal (Ours expires 7 months) and towing (towing covered by my insurance)!!! (strike #6...hey, that's way more than needed to strike-out!) If I can't find it on the internet, and the manufacturer (Newmar) doesn't have it in stock, and/or I have to pay full-price, I'd gladly buy from a more local place....unless I can figure out how to fabricate it myself. Camping World's profits are UP, so they have no incentive whatsoever to make any corrections to this business model. I called corporate and asked for their president and was routed to the talking-transistors of someone else. Yeah, that's how much they care about customer service. P.S. This place sucks! I bought my rv and was charged a 12 hundred get ready fee to ensure my used rv was ready to go well let me tell you the toilet line was never cleaned so since April I have not been able to use my toilet! The gray and black task had not been dumped so I have been cleaning up someone else's crap, great right. I have called campingworld several imes to eat this resolved to no avail. Finally I get a call back nad am told they will refund me half of my 12 hundred and will mail a check for six hundred that day. That was four weeks ago and no check. I'm not sure who called me as I was driving just happen to pick up the call on my hands free. I reside full time in my rv and not being able to use the toilet is insane, being charged 12 hundred dollars to get it ready to use and then all these things wrong is poor business practice. Everyone that I have spoken to Ana out this and claimed that campingworld is Not the place to buy from for this very reason. They do not take care of their customers and provide poor customer service. Run! Don't walk away from these lying shyster jack wagons. We tried to purchased a used travel trailer with a simple work order attached. 1 - De-winterize the unit 2 - Complete the PDI (Pre-deliver inspection) and repair or replace all defective items. Number two is a pretty standard item among RV dealerships, long story short they did not do the PDI and we discovered over twenty four items ranging from lights burned out to outside compartments that the latch was broken and we could not gain access. The biggest offense was the hot water tank be inoperable, I made them hook it up to the city water supply so I could check systems. It was then that on top of the hot water tank not working the also did not de-winterize the unit. The tech went and spoke to the service manager to make sure we were operating the hot water tank correctly. When he returned he dropped this bombshell saying that the service manger was aware that the hot water tank was inoperable......... My wife had called the day before our appointment to verify that the trailer was ready for delivery. She spoke to the service manager, our sales person and the sales manager. All three informed her the unit was ready for delivery. Needless to say we walked away, but this is a call to anyone thinking about buying a RV from them. DON"T DO IT! You will be heartbroken. If I could give zero stars I would. They are full of excuses as to why they can't call you back. I just want to buy parts for our trailer, and they claim to be too busy to pick up a phone to return my call. When I call back for the third time in 2 weeks, I get a rude remark back saying they have people lined up waiting for help, and I should be more patient. Two weeks! run don't walk away from this Camping world, we brought our class A rig in for some work in mid September. they gave us an approximate cost for under $1000 the rig was having some leveling issues and we also need a few new fuses etc. Here we are in Nov. they have not completed the job always some excuse or another, today they kept transferring my calls but no one picked up. The leveling became a nightmare where what ever they did they made it so much worse I can not begin to describe my angst. They also told me that for "fixing" the leveling (very few parts) but they did not know what to do so it apparently took hours the bill is now $4400 unbelievable. I am not sure what to do. They still have my rig and want to charge me an over the top price. Any one have any suggestions on what I can do?? Update::: well here is the update, finally got the rig back after spending half a day, fixing the supposed to be fixed heater. Re negotiated the price as there was NO WAY I was paying there completed price of $5000, I was no going to pay for there training on my leveling system. Really sad. We ordered a patio awning and a slide out topper on Aug 12 and we told that they could be installed on Aug 28. Since that time, I have visited the store three times to check on the order. I was told at least twice that the order had arrived and was ready to be installed. I even went to the store yesterday and was told that the parts were here and ready for installation today. We took our Class A motorhome in this morning at 8 for the installation and received a call from them at 10 saying that the parts were back ordered until Sept 25 and could not arrive until at least 10 days after that. My bf and me went here to try to get a camper today, and the experience was amazing. The manager helped us meet with a sales guy who personally took us to see some campers in our price range. We picked one out and went back in to full out the finance paperwork. The sales guy walked us thru the process of everything and was very friendly. They even gave us a super sweet deal on the price! Camping World Burlington WA Installed a satellite dish that didnt work correctly. Wont answer my phone calls regarding this. Went there and told them about it and they want me to make appt. Not easy with a large motorhome 1 hr away. Wont help me fix problem over phone. Wont call me back no matter how many times I call!!!! Paid "Performance Center" person to check out my shocks. Charged me about $11.00 for this. Told me they were ok. Went to LA, almost lost control several times. Stopped at a shock shop to have them check shocks. They couldnt stop laughing at the boobs at Camping World performance center. New Kone shocks new ride. Told manager at CW and he didnt even say he was sorry or ask if I wanted a refund. He was totally disinterested, I felt lucky to keep his attention while I was complaning to him. Awful place. Wont go back there. read more

Our experiences with Camping World in Burlington have been positive. We had a 16 year old trailer that we took in for evaluation and some updates. The work was done on-time and fairly priced. We just recently purchased a brand new trailer from the same folks and could not be happier. The sales representative was responsive, fair, honest, and deal went very smoothly. We were introduced to the warranty and repair staff and care was taken in our sale in every way. The retail sales area is stocked well and has the customer service there is great. The staff have great opinions on products that work. Sure some of the products overlap with REI or Cabelas or Pro Bass Shops but they are competitive. In fact, a few items I was looking at Target were less expensive at Camping World- to my surprise! I also like that you can see, touch and feel a product I am getting for my RV. I am sorry to see that some folks had a negative experience with Camping World. read more

Bought a brand new Keystone fifth wheel from here with the extended 7 year Good Sam warranty. Within the first 6 months we started to have problems with the slideouts. Took it in and according to them it was fixed. Took it back last year and was kept for 2 months only to find out that they didn't work on it at all. Its been in there again since Jan. 7 2018 still waiting on it. Keystone doesn't stand behind their warranties nor does Good Sam. Lack of communication big problem! Took RV in for simple repair, even explained problem. They didn't even check out that problem in two hours so we waited another three to get a very quick simple repair fixed. While in the RV they for some reason opened refrig door to check the seal (why???). Left refrig door open. Now the door won't close right. I would give 0 stars but I wasn't allowed. Beware of this dealer during "sales" events and clearance pricing. They encourage trade ins but then devalue to make their "real" numbers. The sales people are on commission and it shows. Low ball trade ins, inflated accessory pricing and poor response times. I was the only customer with seven employees on the floor and not one offered to help. I finally cornered a service person and he barely looked up from his computer to tell me "we don't got that." I would hate to pay the overhead for this lazy staff. Never use the service department at this location. I made an appointment to have my Monaco motorhome looked at. It took them 5 days to look at it after the scheduled appointment. They dIdn't make me aware of any cost to look at my slide. I get hit with a $300 bill for them opening and closing my slide and telling me the same thing I told them that was wrong with it. No repairs were done at this time. I took it somehwere else that looked at it for free and fixed it for half the price of their estimate. She showed us several options in our range which was low because the RV was not for us....but a rig to park on a Navy base for our son. Everything was very overpriced, not her fault. After purchasing a new travel trailer we were reassured by several (4?) employees that it had been gone through and thoroughly tested over and over to be sure it was in perfect working order. While going through the trailer on the lot, we noticed the dinette window blind was jammed up - because the dinette table was installed wrong! It was reinstalled & the blind ultimately needed repair. That's just the beginning. We took the trailer home and then on a trip to South Lake Tahoe. The windows wouldn't stay open, the screen door wouldn't stay shut, the shower doors fell off the tracks with every move..and the worst? One tire wasn't turning, unbeknownst to us (remember, it had been gone through by many to insure everything was functioning)!!! After driving many miles, the tire started smoking & the tread was worn off - thankfully we found a RV park and summoned the local RV repair shop. They were incredulous this could happen. We could've killed someone or been killed ourselves. After MANY trips back to Camping World to get repairs under warranty, once that expired we moved to another company who showed us what competency looks like. To say the company is a huge disappointment is an understatement. Go elsewhere. One of the worst experiences we've ever had. read more

All I needed was a price for my fifth wheel exterior light bulb. I called 5 times. Each time a sales guy answered and I explained what I needed. Each time instead of asking a parts guy for me, they forwarded me to parts even though I explained no one in parts was picking up the phone. Here I sit at 11:30 on a Tuesday the 23rd of may. Three weeks ago I made an appointment to ready the camper for summer, take care of a minor recall, and get it detailed before my trip on 5/26. When I called 10 days later for status, all was done but detail was still 2 weeks away. Had I been told of such a delay I would have cancelled and had someone else do the job. I come to pick up the trailer and the hitch pin for the stabilizer is missing, so I needed a new hitch, which I bought Friday afternoon with a promise from customer service it would be installed either Saturday or Monday. Monday about 10:30 I called to find out when I was scheduled and the rep said the counter guy should have done that and he would get back to me. At 11:45 he called to tell me I was on the schedule for 10am Tuesday. It's now 2:20 pm and it may be finally getting done. Poor communication, a new excuse (I was sick, I was on vacation) every time ... and then when the primary 5th wheel repairs were completed, I learned that they'd forgotten to complete a relatively minor repair also on the schedule. I like to be easy to deal with and understand simple human mistakes and oversights. I also like Camping World as an organization and have had good experiences with other Camping Worlds. I have a 2019 KEYSTONE HIDEOUT trailer I bought it brand new April 13 2019 it hade two problem one on the roof and the shower door was coming off the wall. I dropped it off for repair they had it two weeks . I just picked it up. The repairs were not done well. It was very poor workmanship the shower door still will not close. They told me to get a hold of KEYSTONE and then they might fix it wright . There man say he knew it was not fixed right. He said it not his problem. There was a couple things we identified on the trailer that needed repairs. We visited the service department end of April 2019, and spoke with Ed who does the warranty paperwork. He filled out the paperwork and submitted it to Keystone. During the whole process this guy never once touched based with us on where he was at in the process or what Keystone was doing about it. I emailed him on 5/1/2019 with pics, and then again on 5/19/2019 asking him to advise on the status of our claim and got no response. To much time had elapsed and my mom gets very stressed out and frustrated easily especially when paying out a lot of money for a new trailer. My mom decided to stop by the store for a second time looking to chase down Ed for answers. He played stupid with her about my emails when he was confronted on it. He definitely does not like being called out and it shows his lack of attention. We both got the sense that he was trying to avoid us or make himself unavailable each time we came in for followups. So, my mom finally called Keystone and they told her they did receive the paperwork and it should be approved within 3 days. My mom went a third time to the store to relay this information to Ed in person. He seemed very taken back about it and surprised. So, now here we are in late June. Fourth visit, I went into the store this past Friday the 21st. I walked up to Ed's desk and asked him what is going on about the warranty. He came back saying it was approved. I asked him when was it approved? He said, June. (Vague answer by the way) I asked him what was the date that it was approved. He came back telling me you really want to go there? I said, Yes I do! He stirred in his seat and looked at the paperwork and stated it was approved June 5th. I came back saying today is the 21st, when were you going to notify us? He said, with an attitude that he forgot. How convenient on his part by not keeping the customer abreast on the status of our paperwork since day one. I asked him what is the next step? He said, to make an appointment to have the repairs done. I told him that I would be talking to his manager about his attitude and poor customer service. He acted as if he didn't care. But, I did speak with his boss afterwards that same day and told him how my mom and I have been treated by him. We got no apology. The service manager handed me his business card and asked that my mom call him or come into the store to schedule the appointment. My mom went in today 6/24/2019 looking for the manager and he was unavailable, but instead she got the assistant manager. I've heard many bad stories about Camping World and this by far is the icing on the cake. The rest of the staff there are great and are willing to help, but I do question the managements leadership when it pertains to customer service when following through from beginning to end on a problem, and how one employee who was a total jerk can drive away a regular customer to take their business elsewhere. I bought a used RV from this group as it was the only one in the area that fit our requirements. I regret my purchase to this day. Sales department: They seem genuine at first greeting them however when it comes time to make a deal you will find they are full of gimmicks, such as the salesman that cannot make a deal they give you the line "I'll need to talk this over with the manager." Service department: When you can get them on the phone they again appeared helpful even willing to send someone out to investigate our issues. The thermostat for heat and a/c was not maintaining temp well at all and the hot water not working when on electricity. They came out and said the temperature issue was due to both propane tanks not being fully open, which i could understand if the tanks were freezing up, which they were not. The hot water issue they moved some wires around and said its working now, no problems. This did not resolve the issue again. As if this were not enough for one experience i now receive regular phone calls about winning some camping gift certificate for $2000 that cannot simply be sent out to my address, they need to get some personal information from me first. I went in to the Burlington, WA store this past Monday. We bought a used RV and will leave the Seattle area for Florida on August 2. We sold our house so we will live in the RV for several months. We went to your service counter and had a nice conversation with Nicole. She kept telling us how good she was in gaining her reputation as a young woman in a man's world. Although that was fine, we needed service on the RV and wanted to place an order. She would check to be sure she could get all parts in and call the next morning. The base cost was $8028 but there would be significant discounts if we joined your club which we did. The next day we waited for her call but it never came. I finally called a store in Oregon as we would pass there on our way. David told me he was the store manager and I since I hadn't heard from Nicole I asked him if he could help me. I asked him to place the order but when I called him to confirm he told me there would likely be a 2 week wait and additional charges. When I asked for an estimated additional cost he told me he didn't know and wouldn't be able to give me even an idea until the work was done. Meanwhile through all of this I have been trying at least 10 times to get Nicole on the phone. Major issues: Nicole told us the part was available and she would have it shipped with out a problem There was no call from Monday until Thursday evening because as Nicole told us they are very busy Someone else got the part Campingworld calls are routed through Kentucky so it is not possible to reach anyone unless they call you back After 4 pm on Thursday we got a call from Nicole. She refused to speak to me and would only speak with my husband Nicole said the note she got from the sales person had our last name (Lutz) as "Sluts" but even if that were true the Sluts family would have gone 3 days without a call back. I finally sent an email to the CEO but didn't really expect a response. The work has not been ordered and we are out of time. Does this company care? Perhaps Nicole would get more done if she did her job instead of talking about herself. Suddenly things went from "We would love to do the job" to we are too busy. I didn't buy anything here and my review is only from observing a friends dealings with camping World. They gave her new Batteries for free, as she thought she had the wrong type in a Trailer she recently purchased. (which surprised the Hell out of me) She had a problem with the heater and the Tech found the elusive problem, which turned out to be a pinched wire deep in the bowls of the unit. Good troubleshooting skills, I don't know if all the techs are as sharp as this guy was but he was very knowledgeable. Once again I had no stakes in the game but from my observation experience they seemed pretty darn good. Tip: Check out the repairs thoroughly before you leave. read more

Its amazing how one experience can completely ruin your relationship with a company. We bought our Keystone trailer from Camping World in Burlington and have visited the store many, many times. We even bought the Good Sam membership and the Good Sam extended warranty. So, we are a customer worth nearly $30k to them. So, time came when we finally had to use our extended warranty and what a scam. We had problems with our electrical in the RV. Turns out it was the charger/converter for the batteries. They said they could take the part out but since it was still under manufacturer warranty, they would have to send it to them and have them fix it and send it back. Their guess was about 6 weeks to complete this. We had already waited a couple of weeks to get this diagnosis. So, we were looking at not being able to use our RV for 2 prime months! I asked Ed McFarlane (the service rep) how much the part was, and he said $249 plus tax. We made a verbal deal that since I had already had to go through so much BS to just get to this point, that I would just pay for the part and he would wave labor. I thought that was acceptable and we made the deal. I go to pick up the RV and they wanted another $162 to cover the warranty deductible. Which, we had decided not to do, but he submitted it anyway. We went back and forth on this and I then asked, since we did a warranty claim to have the part fixed. He refused and rudely said he wasn't going to do anything more for me, and would not spend anymore money/resources on me. If I wanted the part fixed i would have to take care of it myself. I would have to send it to the manufacturer even though there was a claim already submitted. It was a distasteful and terrible customer experience, and the extended warranty thing is a scam. So, they will do anything possible to not allow you to use your warranty and Ed McFarlane will back out of agreements with no second thoughts. We love our RV, but read the other reviews, and use at your own risk. Avoid the extended warranties!!! read more

Not impressed with camping world of Burlington. Bought a brand new trailer last July from them. Used it a few times during the summer. Come winter my husband used it for a hunting trip. He turned on the pipe heaters and they didn't work. Pipe froze. We get it winterized after that and fix the frozen pipes. Put it in dry storage for the winter. Get it out mid March for camping season and take it to camping world for a few issues we discovered last camp season ( slide hits kitchen island and damages it each time it comes in, pipe heaters don't work, black tank leaks, inverter recall, fridge door handle breaks off and a few other issues) camping world has it well over a month. Meanwhile they call and tell us our roof is showing signs of leaking... wtf we bought it brand new in July and stored it in dry storage over the winter. How on earth is it showing leaking signs already. So they scrape off the calking and recaulk it.We get it back a few weeks ago and they left a ground wire unplugged from the new inverter they put in due to the recall, the caulking looks like my 4 year old did it, the black tank still leaks when u open the valve. On top of that they are saying they don't have record of us paying for the work that was completed when the tech called and had us pay over the phone. The service tech that we have been working with is new and not much help. I wish there was another camping world to work with. Guess we will start taking our camper else where. It's just issue after issue and now they want the camper back to fix their work that apparently wasn't checked before the customer picked it up. Yea not happening during camping season- they will have it for another month to fix their mistake that shouldn't have been made in the first place if they were doing the QC checks like they should! read more

We are exploring the ideas of getting a toy-hauler & went to CW in Burlington to see if we could view them. An older man met us at the door (about the same age as us) and would not listen to what I had to say - he was very pushy about what price range we were looking at. I told him we didn't know until we knew what was available. He asked if we were looking in the $100k range (!) I said no & he replied, 'why don't you just go to an RV show?' WOW, just WOW. We have decided against a toy-hauler, but he will be looking for a Class C, but you can bet we won't be returning to CW to purchase. We will go to one of the very helpful RV dealers we visited who were polite, helpful & not pushy. read more

I had such a bad experience that I will never again take my RV to this Camping World for any troubleshooting. My recent visit lasted 5 hours. It took almost 2 hours after the scheduled time to start work. Then 3 more hours of fiddling around which left my antenna more messed up. A 20 minute conversation with a Winegard tech. the following day gave me 3 possible to fixes. May the "FORCE" be with you, if you need service from this business. If you have a problem with your RV and need service AVOID this business "at all cost". We have had two warranty issues with a trailer we bought from them, one issue took 2 months, multiple calls and 3 trips to resolve. The other one has taken an "every two day" follow up and after two weeks, has still not been resolved. Take a book if you have to go to the service dept. and some earplugs too, there is much grumbling and complaining while you stand in line. Live in Seattle but Purchased my 5th wheel in Portland, they had the exact one I was looking for. Trailer has been great few things here and there but nothing like the horror stories you hear about new trailers. Our awning broke one day bringing it in, a pin must had jammed and it bent the arm. Found out that the only CW close to me that can help is an hour and a half away in Burlington!!! All the other CW had some kind of reason they don't or won't help me! Called CW in Burlington and Frank got me in the next day to be seen. To make a long story short took about a month to get repairs done and a lot of follow up calls to see how things were going but it got fixed! Frank was good to work with and even though he was busy we managed to both communicate effectively, sometimes he called other times I bugged him but we got the job done. Are there things I would change if I ran that department, hell yes! However compared to what I hear on the streets about warranty repairs and service I consider my experience to be a good one. Mr Lemonis needs to retrain management, We ordered a replacement awning and added a slide awning from the June catalog, paid the deposit June 23rd. July 10th I called and yes the parts had arrived. I asked if he was the only person there as the shop has a 10 day lead time and I was in a hurry, he scheduled the appointment. 3 days after delivery I called I was informed the slide awning was wrong and had to be reordered, pick up your trailer for the 20 day wait. New appointment and dropped it off yesterday at 9:00AM and was asked if I was waiting for it. I told Jason H. (the only bright employee) I would return tomorrow morning. I returned to find that the installation was just started, I left mad. Any quality management Store or shop should have called us knowing the repair was delayed, I understand that, but to waste our time and fuel again is reprehensible. Wish I had read reviews before purchasing a used 5th Wheel from Camping World. Saw the one we wanted, went up to Camping World and were taken to the 5th Wheel. It was a used rig so we saw some obvious areas which needed repair. We were told, over and over and over again, that if we purchased then EVERYTHING that needed repair or replacement would be done. The evening before we were to take possession we were called and told one of the brakes needed replacing so rig would not be ready the following day. No big deal, made me think they were following through on their word to do all necessary repairs. So when we did the walk through little had been done in the way of repairing various items. We get the rig delivered to our campsite and start to find problems: the sewer fitting leaks, we replaced with a new one but it still leaks, caulking missing from behind the kitchen sink, front door lock did not work properly, we have purchased a new one to install ourselves, the screen door is missing a piece, there was a water leak, at some point, which damaged some of the interior wood, the front porch light needed a new bulb, the doorbell had no battery, the compartment keys don't fit in all of the locks,the cover on the monitor is old and brittle and has holes. We haven't opened the awning yet so hoping that is OK. Very disappointed that they did not follow through as promised......again, I was told several times that every thing which needed to be repaired or replaced would be done and it was not. Where to start? First, I've been a good Sam member for two years, and I've spent thousands of dollars at the Burlington location since then. When I became a full time RVer I bought my first generator at this camping world. My generator had a recall and also required service. I brought it in and it was "serviced" really quickly. I told the service department that it runs for about 4 minutes with a load on it and then shuts off. I was helped by an awesome associate named Lane Farmer. He went above and beyond for us but while we were waiting we were followed around the store by two different associates that were very obvious in their tactics of "deterring theft", granted we're in our 20s, wearing work clothes, I have a mowhawk, and my wife has dreadlocks. I get it, people suck. But I'm a tax paying, retired, disabled veteran and I'm the only one that's not 60 years old inside of camping world. Anyways, My round trip to camping world is an hour and a half, so bringing my generator home and realizing it still didn't work, the same night we're going to get our first freeze was pretty frustrating. When I picked up my generator, I asked: "did you run it with a load on it?" And Lane said: "I hope he did". After being shuffled around on the phone, from person to person, I filed a complaint with corporate and was promised a call back within 4 minutes. 45 minutes later I called them back and they have no record of my complaint. So I filed my complaint for the second time and was promised a call back by Monday. By Monday I will have a complaint filed with BBB and if this isn't resolved beyond that I will be contacting the media to let them know how I was profiled in your store and then also given terrible service. read more
