Rooftop Air Cnditioner on motorhome with multiple spliced drain line.
Eric B.

Another Camping World maintenance duaster! Just over one year ago our middle Air Conditioner quit working. We had just sold our house and had started heading west to our new house. It was June and the only place that could install a new AC before September was the Camping World in Chattanooga TN. With a lot of reservations we went there. Well my reservations were right. Today outside of Oklahoma City we pulled into a rest area. My wife when back to the kitchen area and informs me we have water dripping out of a ceiling light. I knew it has to be from the middle AC. I removed the light fixture and just turned off the AC. When we got to the campground later I went up to see what was going on. Long story short. One of the FOUR different drain hoses that were spliced together was split at each end. The yellow plastic wire loom hose in the picture was leaking. There is a combination of 1/4 and 3/8 size hoses some with plastic push on connectors and some just pushed together. On top of that wires were spliced together with masking tape. A wire was terminated with roof sealant. The junction block where 120v is connected had just one wing nut holding it in place. The other side of the junction block had at one time been taped to the bottom of the unit. I made some temp repairs to get us to it destination in about a week. Then it is a complete rework of the wiring and drain plumbing! I HAVE NEVER SEEN SUCH CRAPPY WORK IN MY LIFETIME!!!!!!

$1000 given away. I'm baffled at the current moment. Speechless so let me gather myself and try to compose this the best way I can. Dropped my camper off for service which it needed and I really wanted it washed too. So I go in the service department and start looking at the service packages. The premium package they were selling me on included everything I needed and when I asked about it being washed he said $125 on top of the $990 service package. I said ooohh I really want it washed so let's look at a lower package so I can afford the wash too. And he said hold on and walked back to a room to speak with someone and then came back and said ok if you go with the premium package we will throw the wash in with it. So I reluctantly said ok and agreed to this. Fast forward to today.. the photos quite literally speak for themselves. This is the wash. And now I am wondering if anything actually got serviced. Soooo I am positive I just GAVE camping world in east ridge $1000... this is absurd.

Camping World always gets a bad rap. Yes. They are HIGH-PRESSURE salespeople. Just like car…read moredealers, window salespeople, boat reps, or any business that utilizes a commission form of salary. If you haven't figured this out by now when shopping for high dollar items, then you haven't been out there shopping enough. For the record. I HATE salespeople. I walked into this dealer with a chip on my shoulder from the get-go. We knew exactly what camper we wanted, and we just wanted to see it. Our luck of the draw was Johnny Brooks. And Johnny and I did not see eye to eye for sure. In fact, I was sure I hated him after just a few minutes, that I left my husband to deal with him, I wanted nothing to do with it. But you know what? I got over it. Johnny is a good guy and in the end, we bought our camper, and he's been great! He took excellent care of us. Go Johnny! There are bad RV dealers across this whole country, and I think if more people that had good experiences posted instead of only the upset angry ones, people might find out that no one company has a monopoly on good or bad service. Yes, there are some smaller mom and pop dealers that could have 5-star reviews, but sometimes smaller dealers are inaccessible to the masses. And if anyone has paid attention to the GROWTH of the RV industry over the past 5 years, you'd realize the there have been hundreds of thousands of RV sold. HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS!! In fact, growth is so explosive that year to date for Towable Travel Trailers alone in 2017 is over 290,000 sold! Are you reading that??? That is from January to August 2017. (see http://www.rvia.org if you want more info) I don't see hundreds of thousands of reviews ... SO look. Do your research. Understand that you are walking into a high-pressure situation, and try and see if from all sides. Camping World will always have our business. Chip or no chip.

Even with some of the financing changes it was all in all a positive experience and I'm truly happy I didn't judge this place by the reviews on Yelp. From our salesman Carl to Pip the finance guy and Melisa the young lady who helped us with our purchase and made us feel like valued customers. Thanks for the positive experience!

We purchased a 2018 Keystone Carbon from Mike at Chattanooga Camper Sales (CCS) in August of 2020…read more Even after reading multiple questionable reviews about thousands of $ of repairs, we were convinced by the warranty from CCS that we would be covered if something happened. We've now learned that we should have NOT bought from CCS under any circumstances. Here are 8 reasons why: 1. CCS recommended and installed a sway bars hitch system rated to 50% of trailer weight. Within 6 days, the hitch was bending and could have resulted in a catastrophic failure. This is criminal negligence. 2. CCS was negligent in maintaining the tires in working order, and within 8 hours of driving off the lot, two tires blew 3. CCS was negligent during the titling process and sold the trailer with an incomplete title. The title was missing multiple signatures & details which required multiple trips to the DMV to fix. 4. CCS installed a faulty fuse in our truck which required a repair from Ford Dealer 5. CCS failed to fully inspect the trailer even after assuring us everything was in working order. We discovered the speakers and the stove fan were broken even after we asked CCS to fix these items. 6. CCS lied and said the Fresh Water indicator was working. We had asked CCS to fix the fresh water indicator twice, and after both times, they said the indicator was fixed even when it was still broken as later confirmed by a different repair shop. 7. CCS was negligent in inspecting the sewer system and sold a trailer with a faulty system. The tanks on the trailer are mislabelled, and the valve on the second gray tank is broken. 8. CCS failed to prepare the trailer and sold it with empty propane tanks,a faulty battery, and one set of keys. CCS has taken advantage of us as new trailer owners and sold a "lemon" to us requiring thousands of dollars of repairs. DO NOT buy from CCS under any circumstances.

We bid on the RV and won the bid. Flew to Tennessee and the RV was exactly as Garry said it was. We were delighted at the honesty and attention to detail Garry gave us over the phone. When we arrived to pick up the RV Garry spent a generous amount of time going over the RV and giving us tips and tricks to make sure we enjoyed our new RV. I cannot say enough about the outstanding customer service and ethical business practices Garry and Chattanooga Camper Sales showed us.
