Do not buy from this place or trust them with your RV. This was hands down the absolute worst experience I've ever had. They LOST my camper! After months of being ignored and no one answering the phone, my wife and I had to drive down there, only to find out they had no clue where my camper was. They actually had to use a photo I took when I dropped it off to figure it out. They kept my camper for over 9 months and didn't do a single thing on the list of repairs I asked for. Not one! To make it even worse, the manager wouldn't even bother talking to me about their incompetence. It's obvious the old Mom-and-Pop shop that used to run this place is long gone, because the current management doesn't care about their customers at all. I like this RV dealership. They make it easy for you to look at RVs. You just pull up and get into a golf cart and go riding around looking at RVs for sale. All RVs are unlocked and you just walk inside and the prices are on the kitchen tables in each RV. My experience: As soon as I got out of my car, a service manager on a golf cart told me I can just get in a golf cart and go shopping. I thought how cool is that. Anyway, I think I spent about an hour here looking at RV's, campers, pop ups, motor homes, 5th wheels and etc. However, I saw no truck campers. But they got everything else. This is unlike Camping World which is down the road. There, they won't let you walk the lot by yourself and they don't have prices on anything like they do here. So, I like coming to this RV dealership. Their prices seem kind a high. Even their used RVs were high. Altogether, this is a pretty cool place to come and shop for RVs. read more

They will lie to you. Being told a camper will be diagnosed on Tuesday and not receiving any calls nor do they return messages then finally getting a live person on the phone on Thursday. Told them my name to check status They can't find my name. I then say it's a grand design imagine dropped off last Saturday. The answer was "do you know how many of those we have". That is the dumbest response to anything I've ever said in 53 years. I was telling him my unit model so he could find it. He finally found it and said would be diagnosed on Saturday. Blue Compass has ruined what was once a great dealership. would prefer to rate them a "0" but one is as low as I can go. I made an appontment ONE MONTH IN ADVANCE TO drop my camper off there on 11/18/2022. On 01/24,2023 they told me that there are 6 campers ahead of me before they can even take a look at it. In the meantime, I have recieved numerous flyers with service specials asking me to bring by camper in for service. THEY CANT HANDLE THE CUSTOMERS THEY HAVE, WHO ACTUALLY BOUGHT FROM THEM, BUT ARE STILL TRYING TO DRUM UP MORE BUISINESS. We bought our camper from them new back in 2018. and are ready to upgrade but we will be looking elsewhere. I would encourage everyone else to do the same. We recently purchased a new Grand Design fifth wheel from Northgate. As always there are pros and cons. First off we had a great sales assistant named Emily, she made the purchase a feel good experience. We bought a new one and traded in, so it was a full day to begin with as we live 3 hours from the dealership. We made it more stressful as we have to puppers that travel with us full time so while they installed the fifth wheel they had to be with us. For the cons, and for reason of the 3 stars... they are very unorganized and need a checklist system with training very badly. The young man that did our pre purchase inspection and training was a service tech filling in. Extremely nice but not knowledgeable on all questions, the training lacked a lot. F&I was confusing with mistakes which after a full day we were exhausted and groggy. We finally got our financial part out of the way and then they called us back in for a mistake.... again concerning issues. One thing that was crazy was we asked for water, we were told they didn't keep bottled water as the sales associates drank it. I would hope that they make enough margin that they can supply water to paying customers and staff. All in all we left dazed, tired and confused with our new 5th wheel and found out all the questions we didn't get answered when we sat it up for the first time. We bought a 37 foot Grand Design trailer and wanted it delivered to property in NC. We flew up from Texas for one day to take delivery. They failed to arrange delivery in advance, the sales woman took the day off to have lunch. With her husband, they could not give us a good walk through because they didn't know how it worked, and worse, they never prepped it properly. Fortunately for me I have owned multiple RVs and was able to fix a lot of things myself. They delivered it but refused to come back and fix the problems- warranty work. Please understand that the only reason I am leaving a 1 star review is because I cannot leave a zero. Bear in mind that the times you read a 5 star google review on this place, it is most likely because Northgate offers a 10% discount on merchandise to anyone who will leave a 5 star review on google. They even asked us to leave a 5 star review for a 10% discount. Their Facebook page doesn't have the review option turned on, but you can find some honest reviews on Yelp. Here is the positive point, we found a camper we love and the purchase was very easy. We purchased our camper in March of 2022 and since then, it has spent a total of 6 months at Northgate RV for warrantied repairs. Here's what they have accomplished; repaired leaking toilet supply line, reattached a few pieces of loose interior trim, replaced a running light, & replaced an awning idler cracked cover. In that 6 months, here is the damage they have caused to our camper; -made a large tear in the linoleum flooring -created a bubble in the linoleum flooring (both of the flooring issues are located near the slide. Therefore, whenever the slide goes in & out, it causes further damage. Where they reattached the linoleum flooring, there are now exposed staples all along the floor not covered by any trim work. -improperly reconnected the battery cut off switch wiring causing blown fuses & dead battery. Since that incident, both our radio & air conditioner stopped working. This is the second battery they have killed. -a broken furnace vent cover -failed to repair enclosed under belly to agreed to work order warranty specifications. The service department did their absolute best to give us our camper back with an improperly attached underbelly that would have created a huge safety issue while towing. We had to absolutely force the service department to patch it before we could leave to go on our non-refundable trip (that they were aware of 4 months prior) with notes that they would perform the correct work at a later time. To this day, it is still just patched. Once we started inquiring about the damage that they have caused to our camper, they started making excuses. This was not just a service technician but also the service manager, the customer service manager, and the general manager (Brian, Savannah, & Emily) We've been give the run around and statements they have made are contradicted by other statements in text that they have made. They were willing to repair the underbelly if we would bring it back & leave it for an unspecified amount of time. They kept making excuses about the flooring but while at time of pick-up, the technician admitted that he had made a mistake on the floor causing the rip. Once we returned from our trip & started inquiring on the floor, Savannah told us it was a Forest River problem & she would have to "see" if Forest River would honor the now expired warranty to fix it. We have repeatedly asked for the regional manager or someone from the corporate office to contact us to no avail. We have also left a message for the corporate Blue Compass office which now owns Northgate RV & have never received a phone call back. We were continually misled about when the camper would be ready for pick up and what work was being performed. The only true thing that we have been told, and this is a quote from an e-mail from Savannah to us, "it seems that you both have lost faith and trust in us as a repair dealership." While Northgate was willing to attempt further repair, they would not take responsibility for their actions and guarantee that we would not incur any repair cost due to their mistakes. They further refused to commit to completing the repairs in a timely manner. Since Northgate was refusing to repair the damage they caused to our camper, we have been forced to contact an attorney and once Northgate was informed of this, they have ceased all communication with us. If you enjoy being without your camper and having damage caused to your unit, then by all means use Northgate RV. As for me, I would not let them service a wheelbarrow. read more

My wife and and I purchased a 2021 Grand Design Image 2400BH on Friday Oct 16, 2020 from Northgate RV in Ringgold, GA. To our sadness, our slide failed in our driveway the day after bringing her home while preparing for our maiden voyage. To make a very long story short, we took our TT back to Northgate RV for warranty service on our slide on Monday Oct 26, 2020. Fast forward - our TT has now been at Northgate RV ever since with absolutely NO RESOLUTION to the problem whatsoever. The few times that we have been successful in getting someone to return an email or a phone call, we have been told nothing but "mistruths". This has been one of the most frustrating and disappointing situations of our lives which we wouldn't wish on anyone. I had been looking at RV's for several weeks and finally found a floor plan that worked for me - the Flagstaff Micro Lite 21FBRS. The only dealership in the Metro Nashville area that would even talk about it didn't have it in stock and were $2k-3k more expensive than Northgate. I drove the hour and 15 minutes over there, and they were very warm and welcoming from the beginning. Offered me a golf cart to explore the lot on my own so there wasn't any pressure, but they checked on me periodically. All of this with no pushy salesmanship, which I greatly admired. From helping me make my decision, to the paperwork, final sale and delivery, they were amazing. For a first time RV buyer, I appreciated their patience and focus on making sure I understood and took care of me. I must say I had a terrible experience with Northgate RV. I dropped my trailer off after a 7 week wait. They kept my trailer for 13 weeks! I needed the 2 door windows fixed from the failed window adhesive allowing window to slide down 1 inch, adjust the awning not nesting right, and put a handle on the black tank gate valve. They charged $82 in labor to put on a $9 handle that requires 1 screw! They detached and reset the windows cracking the outside piece and caulked it doing a terrible job. It is also separated away from the door panel. For that they charged $365! A new window only cost $50. Thinking it was all under the extended warranty they did inform me it was not except the handle which was below deductible. Ha! I would normally do this myself, but I had a work related accident requiring at least 2 surgeries and was unable to physically repair. I called and spoke with the service manager who assured he would look into my concerns. One month later after our initial conversation, with several messages left to see what they would do for the outrageous $82 handle charge and breaking of the window, I have had no response. I would strongly recommend that this dealer be avoided. read more

I purchased a new Imagine here. RV was great and we love it. Had issues with all the add ons I requested installed. Called the dealership once and salesman to explain the problems and they never called me back. That was 4 months ago. Obviously I paid someone else to fix the issues. The RV wasn't cleaned well, saw dust everywhere, all three waste tanks half full. Wouldn't recommend... Owner of the dealership ended up calling & apologizing for their lack of customer service but he said I can't honestly believe my team would do that. That's right I'm a liar. Take heed of these warnings. If you personally know the owners you might be in good hands otherwise you might be like us complaining on Google with no recourse. read more

My husband and I purchased a brand new Keystone Montana fifth wheel from Northgate RV Center in Ringgold, GA on 5/26/22. This brand new camper has had numerous issues since we bought it in May. We signed all of the paperwork, purchased our new RV on 5/26/22. We took it camping on 5/27/22 and noticed a few repairs that needed to be made. We brought our RV back to the dealership on 6/4/2022 for repairs and they told us they would call us when it is repaired and ready to pick up. We never received a call. My husband called the dealership on 6/28/2022 to ask if our RV was ready to pick up. He was told that the repairs had not been completed because the Service Manager never turned in the sheet that listed the repairs. By this time our RV had been at the dealership for 3 weeks. We picked our RV up on June 29, 2022 for our second camping trip. On this trip the air conditioner unit would not work. and brought it to the dealership on 7/6/22. We told them we didn't know why the AC went out, it worked great on our first trip. They told us that the AC in it was a temporary AC that they had in the shop and that the original AC was not working and they had order a new AC for it. When we signed the paperwork to purchase the RV, this was not disclosed. They told us they would call us when the AC was repaired. Again, we never received a call. On the September trip the recliners would not recline, the TV did not work, the refrigerator stopped working and the automatic leveling system did not work. We brought it to the dealership again. We have had problems with the RV on every trip. My husband told them that the RV has been in their shop more than we have been able to camp in it and they should replace it with an RV that is in good condition. He was told that this is why we purchased a warranty and they would not take the RV back. We are very disappointed with this dealership and with the RV. Just a note for Northgate RV. I tried to use your online service for a value for a trade in. Northgate has a Model we are looking to upgrade. The trade in value came back 20K lower than the NADA value and 15K lower than a competitor. I received an email the next day from Mike Gaboury telling me the value may have been a little low because they have an automated system that responds to the customer. Now I understand that the rv industry is hot right now, and sales are through the roof. But treating customers right, the first time should still be priority. The first impression a business gives you is usually how they conduct themselves. The response and final email from Mike was a bit funny. Even my wife laughed. read more

Got a great close-out deal with these folks! They had another buyer who wanted it as well that they'd worked with before - someone they were confident wouldn't walk away from the deal. But even though I was new, they trusted me and honored my getting there first. There was never any pressure from anyone and when I came for the pickup, they were friendly and professional. I got a through tour where every question was answered. The RV was clean and in excellent condition. I was impressed with the extra-mile touches (extra set of keys, fun RV floor mat, and a "goodie" bag full of supplies - tank hoses, bio-degradable pouches for the toilet, TP, electrical adapters, etc. They also did an excellent job mounting the RV to my truck. They were also very good to take my calls and put me through to technicians after I left. The reason I knocked off one star is not the dealerships fault, but I did want to alert new buyers like me that there is nowhere to practice and get used to driving with an RV...except the freeway. I drove all day to get there and left at closing time at the height of rush hour. That was frightening! All said though, I'd be happy to do business with Northgate RV Center again. read more

This is my 3rd RV purchase, Northgate RV has been horrible to work with. The heater don't work, when they installed washer and dryer they screwed thru the bedroom wall and they didn't run the discharge pipe down the drain far enough and upon running first load it flooded coach, they didn't care. I had a transport company pick coach up from Georgia and bring it to me in California, the dealer wouldn't give the driver the keys, they told driver that they had overnighted them to me. Upon delivery with no keys I was forced to drill out the lock to get coach off of truck. Next day no keys, I drilled out entry lockset, still no keys overnighted. Next day drilled out rest of locks for storage compartments after checking for overnighted keys. During this time I had requested tracking info which they couldn't or wouldn't provide. I've had to go to Grand design to try and make this right. Northgate won't take or return calls, texts or emails. STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP!!!!! read more

Absolutely do not go to Northgate RV Center My husband and I bought a 2018 Jayco Hybrid camper from Northgate. We live 4 hours from Northgate, but because it was the camper we had been looking for at the price we wanted we made the trip. Before leaving home we were assured the camper had been throughly inspected and passed. It was used and we knew it was as is, but we were totally scammed. When we walked thru the camper with a wonderful older gentleman. He walked us through everything on the camper except the beds. He kind of simply said the beds just flip out. The curtains were covering huge holes in the seams in the beds. You could clearly see the outdoors, but conveniently they were covered. On our first camping trip we immediately noticed the huge gaps. We called Northgate and explained the situation. On the first call they agreed to fix the camper. At no cost to us, all we had to do was bring it to them. Then on further calls they began to be very defensive. Essentially blaming everything on us for not seeing the broken seams before buying. Had we know we needed an RV expert to notice the seams we would've brought one with us. They even said the curtains had been closed during inspection for heat issues. Never the less they had agreed to fix the seams and we once again made the 4 hour (one way) drive to Northgate. Once we left our camper there they kept it for two months (we dropped off in August and didn't get it back until October). We had to cancel a camping trip because they didn't know what part to order. My husband called Jayco, got the part number and sent it to Northgate. An RV Center didn't know how to find a part number?!? Still, when we called to check on the progress they told us they were still working on it. They were so rude talking and texting my husband. They went back on their word to fix the camper saying they never agreed to fix the camper at no cost. Even though we had messages to prove otherwise. Our sales representative was always conveniently absent every time we went to Northgate. The worst customer service, EVER. Finally, we told them we were coming to pick it up and they needed to finish. We made the 8 hour round trip journey to pick up the camper. When we got it back their version of fixing the seams was to... tape them. Literally, they duck taped the seams. Even after we sent them the part number they...duck taped it. We drove 16 hours for tape. Now, we have a leaking duck taped camper that we still need fixed. We called an attorney and there is really nothing we can do. Worst experience ever. Do not waste your time or money. To add insult to injury they black tank was also full of the previous owner's poop. It lead to a very interesting first black tank dump. Never again! read more

Terrible experience with NorthGate RV. Started with a great price on a new Grand Design. Decided to drive to Georgia from fl since we were heading to NC for a summer vacation to get her and trade mine in. I made it clear I was driving in with my wife, and 3 year old daughter , and a fully stocked fridge and freezer . I was ensured our unit would be in their delivery area the night before and every thing would be up and running for our delivery and swap over. delivery and orientation was to be at 3pm on Saturday. They said we could arrive at 11 am for our pre delivery inspection , luckily we did arrive early to find that our unit was out in a gravel lot, (noting their delivery area)air running , but the fridge was off( takes 24 hours to cool these fridges). With delivery only a couple hours away, we couldn't verify that the fridge would be running properly, or most importantly transfer all of our food we had prepared for a couple weeks. Very unhappy but figured I would ask for my $500 deposit back to purchase new groceries and still take delivery at 3 and trust the fridge would be ready the next day. Our sales person Mike said absolutely no way, it was take the new unit or leave. We still loved the new unit, and after traveling 700 miles to get our new one, we didn't have much of a choice. Very unhappy at this point , came up with a new plan, we would leave all of our food in our cold fridge freezer in our old camper and get it early next morning , even though we had to be in a camp ground 3 hours away by 11 because of guest coming. Our sales person stated they don't open until 11:30 on sundays , no exceptions for us to get our food. I lost it at that point, signed our papers and left with my wife having to throw out 2/3rds of our groceries. Not only that, a very nice girl (Tristian) did our orientation, had no clue what the coax hook ups were for, nor did she know what one of the dump handles were for, just a rushed through orientation . This was my 2nd new camper in less then a year and will be upgrading again probably in less then a year again. I will never purchase anything again from Billy (owner of North gate) and will make sure that anyone who asks where I got My Grand Design knows not to purchase from NorthGate. read more

After a year of narrowing down what our next RV purchase would be we finally found the make and model that we wanted. Since we full time in an RV we talked with dealerships all throughout the east and as far west as Texas. Northgate had the best price and offered a very fair trade value on our old unit. We worked with Mike via email and phone and he was always quick to respond to any and all questions. Once our RV arrived we set a day and time to pick it up. Our pre delivery walk thru was smooth and extremely thorough. There was only one small issue and they took care of it while we were signing paperwork. We stayed 2 nights nearby and had an issue with one of the slide toppers. Contacted Tony in service and he said to bring it in and they would take care of it. Pulled into their service department and 30 minutes later we were on the road again! About a week later there was an issue with the dryer they had installed. Contacted our salesman Mike and he said they would get it taken care of. We did a temporary fix and continued on our 2 week trip to Indiana. On our way back thru Georgia they had us come by and service swapped the dryer out and sent us on our way! I do NOT recommend this dealership. We called them talked to a sales person a few times. The sales person knew we would be driving over 5 hrs just to purchase from them. She quoted us a good price and we told her we would be there Saturday morning. We arrived early and started paperwork. After being there a couple of hours, they told us we could pick up our camper in maybe a week...Humm NO! We drove 5 hours to pay cash for a camper only to be told they were backed up with campers and under no circumstances do they release campers before holding them 3 days. New ownership. Nowhere near the quality of service as old Northgate. We made an appointment and dropped off our travel trailer for a two hour safety inspection. Turns out, NEW policy is that Appt is only for drop-off, not actual service. customers aren't informed of that at drop off. My husband called the next day to see what was going on. He left a msg, one of four over the next several days. When he FINALLY spoke to a service rep, he was informed of the new policy. After over a week, he was told he was still number 8 in line for service. None of previous service personnel are with them any longer, EVEN THOUGH they're very short on service personnel. Fast forward to day of pick up. After over three weeks, he left a message that he would be picking up the camper, whether they had serviced it or not. He received a phone call a couple of hours later that it's ready. Customer service leaves a lot to be desired. SIDE NOTE: Old Northgate brought camper around and hooked it up for the customer. Not now! Customer does it himself. little things mean a lot toward gaining the loyalty of repeat customers. sorry for the book! read more
