PSA - Hampton's Buyer Beware: Store Credit Only, Unexpected $150 Restocking Fee and Refund Policy…read more(Update - response to owner comments at bottom) I discovered Hampton's Men through a Facebook ad and placed a $1,400 online order for a sport coat I had never seen or tried on in person. When it arrived, I decided it was not for me. I never even removed it from its packaging to try it on. I promptly returned the unopened item. Only then did I learn that returning it would cost me $40 in shipping, plus a $150 restocking fee that was not clearly disclosed during the ordering process. What surprised me even more was Hampton's Men's refund policy. Even after paying the restocking fee and return shipping, a refund to your original payment method is not guaranteed. Based on the policy, the company has complete discretion over whether to issue one. In my case, I was left asking the owner to make an exception just to receive the remaining $1,250 from an unopened return. That is not the customer experience I expect when making a $1,400 online purchase from a retailer I discovered through Facebook advertising and product photography. The owner told me he would "work with me," and I hope he ultimately does the right thing by issuing a full refund to my original form of payment. Until then, my advice to prospective customers is simple: read Hampton's return policy very carefully before ordering. Make sure you understand that an unopened return may still cost you return shipping, a $150 restocking fee, and that a refund to your original payment method may not be automatic. -------- Tyler, The most concerning issue is NOT the $150 restocking fee. It is that Hampton's can accept the returned merchandise, retain a customer's original payment, and provide only store credit instead of a refund to the original payment method. That is a material restriction. In my view, it should be clearly and prominently disclosed in the Facebook advertisement, on the product page, and before checkout, not simply placed on a separate Return Policy page. Had I understood that Hampton's could keep my $1,400 after I returned the coat and issue only store credit, I would not have made the purchase. For clarity, I opened the shipping box to view the sport coat, but I did not break the plastic seal, remove the coat from its packaging, or try it on. I returned it promptly in the same sealed condition. What is especially troubling is your admission that you initially intended to "work with me," but changed course after I posted reviews about my experience. In other words, the decision about whether I would receive my money back appears to have turned on whether you approved of my criticism. A customer returning a substantial online purchase should not have to rely on the owner's personal goodwill, or remain silent publicly, to receive a refund to the original payment method. Consumers deserve to understand that before doing business with Hampton's.

Thinking about getting back into running again after about 16 years away from it. Right as you enter the door there is a signboard where you can right your name and then they will come get you when a salesperson is available. I didn't have to wait long at all. Next they have you stand on a scanning machine followed by measuring your stride on a short strip on the floor that does just that. The salesman who helped me was very knowledgeable and I learned stuff about my feet that blew my mind. He brought out three different pairs of shoes and I got to try them on and walk around with them. I ended up getting a pair of Brooks. I was very pleased with my purchase and will look into running programs in the near future that they offer on their website. Highly recommend this establishment!

I called them one afternoon and spoke with Tim who told me to bring the bikes in. I arrived 30 minutes later and Tim greeted me with a hearty welcome and introduced me to Jacob the bike mechanic who checked the bikes in for a level one tuneup. Three were different types of tuneups that your bike can get; a level one starts at $80 and that includes checking the gears, tightening the chains, adjusting the brakes, checking the inter-tubes and tires and filling them with air if needed, and washing the bike. Level two and three encompasses a level one plus more. The bikes were supposed to take a few days, but Jacob got them done the next day. This is a great local bike shop, not only are they quick with the repairs but the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The shop is clean, and fully stocked with a large selection of bikes, helmets and accessories. Oh yes and they do offer a 10% discount to Police, FD, paramedics, and Military. Cabarrus Cycling highly recommended!

I looked at a few places to go and settled on this store because it is local, women and Asian owned. I walked in and started browsing the microwaves. I appreciated that the gentleman working asked if I needed any help after I was there for a bit. I told him I was looking up the model numbers online to see their features etc. and didn't need help. He was cool about it and nicely made sure I knew if I had any questions to just let him know. After looking at the microwaves on display, I walked throughout their whole space to make sure I had not missed one. There was one I missed in the entry display. I looked up the model and size online. Checked to make sure it was the right size for the space I was putting it in at home. I told him I thought I was going to buy it just wanted to check a few more specs online. Once I was sure he got it out of the display and made sure to give me the wall mount and screws needed for it. He offered some suggestions and advice from his experiences installing. Then he worked on the paperwork. Really appreciated that he highlighted the warranty number and details to register the microwave with GE. The microwave is selling for $809+ elsewhere and I purchased it for $359+ tax. It was scratched up on the side but since it is being installed under a cabinet and between to cabinets that was of no concern to me. They had a love of other appliances in there. I will be going to them in the future for any appliances. I would without a doubt recommend them. I found it helpful to have my cell charged up and search the model numbers to see specs, some reviews and other details. I asked and the gentleman who was in the store moved and placed the microwave into my car. He checked to make sure it had the pieces. When I got home I noticed the interior circle that the glass sits on was cracked. I just used the one out of our old microwave. I had to hit the brakes hard a couple times on the way home due to it being what I can only describe as some driver's first days in discovering turn signals. Anyway, I am not sure that the crack is not from those driving instances as the microwave slid around a bit. This was not a big deal, I had a solution at home and I did not reach out to the store about it because had a solution at home already. They do say they try out every appliance before it goes on the showroom floor which is great! Microwave is a dream and I love it. It is super easy to use. Way less loud closing than our older one and has a nice look in our kitchen. We are super happy with it and our purchase!
