Worst experience I have ever encountered with a business. My wife and I were in one day browsing potential travel trailers to purchase. Our salesperson was great and we found one that we were interested in. We were told that our monthly payment was going to be between a certain amount of money, but we couldn't finalize financing that day because banks were closed. I got a call the next day with a monthly payment quoted considerably higher than the amount discussed the day before. When asked for an explanation I was told that "the salesperson must have quoted us a longer term" I asked if it was possible to go through a different lender and they told me no. So... my wife and I called the bank directly to find out what the discrepancy was. Come to find out the dealer took away our 1,000 dollar deposit and inflated our purchase price another 2K. A 3,000 DOLLAR DIFFERENCE THAN WHAT WE AGREED TO THE DAY BEFORE THAT THEY TRIED TO GET US TO AGREE TO WITH ZERO EXPLANATION. After this experience we did not move forward with a company that did business this way and I requested my money back. I had a very unpleasant conversation with Levi their manager who tried even after all this to tell me that they weren't going to refund my deposit and that the contract we signed (without any specified financing terms) was binding. Don't let the google reviews fool you. Think twice before using this company. Checkout their Yelp reviews, checkout Facebook. Camping World posted a Rubber Roofing Compound for $34.99, but when you hit the buy-now button the web site directs you to the same product for $73.69. I tried numerous times but the web site would not honor the $34.99. Called Customer service and a male rep said he could doing nothing to help me and would have a supervisor call me. No call received. Called the next day and the same thing happened, no call back from a supervisor. I guess Mr. Profit their president wants to add to their bank account by bait-and-switch. This is not the first time I have had problems with their customer service(LOL). Lousy way to run a company. Son is looking for a new trailer, we will go someplace else. read more

So I went here to grab some parts for a repair and supplies for a camping trip. They for sure have tons of parts and a good selection and that is why I gave them 4 stars. But the service isn't worth mentioning and the staff doesn't really know anything about RVs. They were nice enough but not a pleasant experience. Overall, they can get you what you need. But they seem too large to care about the individual and don't offer a personalized touch. read more

If I could give a lower star, I would. Our experience has been the worst experience ever in our whole lives. We purchased a luxury item and have been treated like garbage the whole away through. It starts with the complete disregard and disrespect of my wife who was horrible sexually assaulted by or salesman. His name is Quinton Powell. He repeatedly said highly inappropriate things to my wife, along with "if you don't have the down payment today, I know ways your wife can work it off"... she didn't even want to return to pick up the trailer. Supervisors were notified, and nobody said a word. Then to the trailer we bought, a complete lemon... We bought it brand new at the beginning of summer and have never really used it due to the fact that it's been in service more time than we've owned it. The service department is a joke. We were put into the hands of the manager and he has been, let's just say, less than nice. Worst experience buying anything EVER.. Another RV was trying desperately to back out of the crowded parking mess and I didn't want to get trapped too. My parents purchased a camper from these guys couple years ago we went back to them to have them help sell our camper in May of this year. It was on the website for 2-3 weeks and then showed pending sale.. we never received a phone call or email or anything saying it was sold. We had to call them a couple times to figure out it finally sold and now we have been waiting about 6 weeks to receive the check for it.. What can I say about Camping World in Draper, UT? I truly wish I could give this place negative stars! My husband and I bought a brand new 2022 Keystone trailer in May of 2022. Before leaving the lot, we had them come and document (take pictures) all the warranty stuff we noticed right off the bat from the outside stickers pulling up to the interior cabinets and a slightly torn couch cushion, etc. We proceeded to take the trailer home and take it on the first trip on the 24th of July weekend. We found out during the trip that the water heater leaked, toilet leaked, bathroom wall caved in, amongst other smaller things. We came back and called them to make an appointment to bring it back into the shop to have it fixed. NOTHING WAS DONE AFTER SITTING FOR 34 DAYS!!! We were never communicated with the entire time they had it until we called multiple times and finally got Dan on the phone who was our service writer. He was a joke! Constant excuses of warranty being the issue. He then let us take the trailer as we already had another trip planned and paid for. Told us to call and bring it back in when we got back home after the weekend. Took it back in and sat for another 4 MONTHS and not everything was fixed on it. WHAT A JOKE THIS PLACE IS TO WORK WITH. The Parts department is a NIGHTMARE!!!! Constant excuses! No one ever responds to you or calls you back. My parents were looking to buy a very expensive $100k Montana fifth wheel from here and I told them not to. It surprises me that the GSM could call my mom asking why she won't consider buying from here but won't return a call about any of our issues with the service department or parts department. She told them about my husband and my hassle with their service department and all he could say was they have multiple dealerships so if she wasn't happy with their service, she could take it to a different location instead of here or even simply trying to change the way the business and parts department is here! My husband and I have owned the trailer for 9 months and this shop had it for 5! We were told that was good! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!! We had Camper World service work on our Dominic Fridge installed in our 2018, Host Mammoth Camper. FYI, Host makes the best camper on the road, bar none. And we have had two Lances.... The Fridge failed. Camper World tech' figured out the probable cause and corrected the problem both timely and cost effectively. We would return and use their service department again. We ordered a new washer for our motorhome on Oct 24, 2020 and still don't have it. Online showed the Draper store had 2 in stock we tried to call and was transferred to parts which on one answered the phone so than the girl told us we just had to come in. Drove down there and was told they dont have any in stock! The 2 they have are one's people ordered. So we ordered one and was told it would be in Nov 11, 2020. We called to see if it arrived and was told no it would be 3 MORE WEEKS. They are doing inventory so there are no deliveries. I can't believe they didn't know they had inventory coming up 2 weeks before??? Of course they billed my credit card right away, no delay there! These guys are in it but for the money only. Their warranty and Service depts are a complete joke. They do have an exceptional service guy by the name of Bryant Williams. Their overview or walk thru by their "expert" technician with us missed much of what should have been covered was another joke exercise. We asked their warranty guy if we could have another run thru since this was our first RV and we were denied. I can't use the words that could describe their pompous warranty dept and the head desk of their service dept is laconic and somewhat rude. The salesman and I won't mention his name, is disorganized and I'm not sure he could determine a motor home from a fifth wheel. Regardless, he wouldn't know how either one worked. He's more interested in BSing with co-workers than returning calls or being prepared for a visit. I just bought my $100K+ motor home and I'm already looking to another dealer to work on it. Stay away from these folks. Lastly, as an upside, their finance guys are descent enuf. Young, but they make their $ off your financing. Double check all the prices online before you make any purchase in the store. Titan waste hose listed in store for $49. Asked sales person why it's listed online and available for curbside pickup for $38.00. The price online is not the Good Sam Club price either, it's even less online for that. Salesman said the price is higher if you buy in person. Same thing with a hose support, listed one product online and have a another item for sale in store even though online says 12 in stock at Draper location. WTH, so they practice false advertising and bate and switch at camping world. Be very careful. Salesman agreed eventually to sake at price listed for one item but not the other because the picture online was not exact as in store. WOW. read more

We bought a brand new trailer from here in March. We've had it in the shop with several warranty repairs. The problem is, each time they've taken it they don't work on it for weeks. Even if we've had a scheduled apt. We've tried to communicate with the service department several times. They've promised to have it done by the date we need it for a trip and nothing gets repaired. The old manager of the service department left and we got a call from the new one saying he found our ticket and nothing was completed on it, nothing was ordered so he wanted to fix that and get our trailer repaired. We were happy he was taking the initiative. Well low and behold, they've had our trailer again for two weeks and haven't even began the work on it. Weather is getting cold and it needs to be winterized. Of course, they wont Winterize it without charging us but they won't get it done before the hard freeze even though by then it will be close to a month. I am so sick and tired of dealing with the service department. I get that places are busy, but if we have an appointment, we expect the work to get done. I wouldn't recommend buying a trailer from here. If we didn't have such a great salesman who helped us a ton and was great, we would have never bought from here. read more

I was contacted by the Draper Camping World and they requested that I bring back my RV. I set up an appointment letting them know I would be available for any length of time in order to get this issue fixed. Arriving at my appointment I was treated very kindly and professional by the employees which I appreciated more than I can say. They completely checked out all of the RV's water lines, tanks and took apart the water pump to check it out throughly. After tightening up all connections they drove the RV to watch if there were any other leaks. I cannot thank Camping World enough for listening to me and then going out of their way to help me with my water leaking issues I was experiencing. Yes, I had a few problems with Camping World, but after 'communicating' my issues they could not have been more professional and helpful. Story starts in 2020, we had water leak in our trailer and our insurance would only warranty our repairs if we went to Camping Work, so we did. Dropped it off the end of October, didn't get it back until March and is still wasn't done, but we had a trip so the assembled the trailer for us. We had to bring it back to them to finish the initial repairs when we got back. It wouldn't be so bad, just way too long, IF the repairs had actually worked. Within a couple of months we noticed the walls separating again. They just said to bring it back at the end of the season so we could use it for the year. So, back to camping world end of September 2021. We were told it would be 2 weeks. They still have it!!!! We told them last month we need it for camping in March. We are picking it up tomorrow with the repairs again incomplete. Month after month with the excuses of wrong parts being sent, still waiting for parts. 5 months into it still waiting for parts. I get that there are supply chain issues, but 5 months!! Also, we were having a hard time with communication the first time it was in and the first 3 months of the 2nd time it was in. Never getting our calls returned and having to call several times before we get an update. The latest is that our manufacturer sent the wrong decal, again! How many times in 6 months has there been a wrong decal sent? How many reorders??? It's just absurd. Don't take your trailer here for repairs if you actually want it back. Hopefully they do a good job this time so I do t have to come here again. read more

What a colossal disappointment. There is absolutely no customer service. The slack-jawed gum chewing blonde at the front completely ignored the fact that no one could check out because the check stand had been abandoned. When my husband finally asked for help, she said that the only person available was helping other customers. Then she turned back to talking to her boyfriend as well as another listless employee, acting like a teenaged idiot. Camping World : Fails to meet the lowest of expectations. June 6, 2016. Our Thetford Aqua Magic Style Plus toilet in our Jayco Seneca 36FK broke. The ball valve that opens the toilet to the sewage tank directly below broke, the valve will not open or close when you press the flush pedal. Try not to think of the foul smell of the Black Sewer tank filling the Motorhome as the ball valve will not close completely, we had to evacuate the coach and abruptly abandon our trip. A phone call quickly followed to Camping World of Draper Utah. I spoke to Andy Kalikakis in the service department and advised him of our situation, and wanted to get this fixed. We purchased the Good Sam Extended Service Plan with the coach in March 2016 and provided Andy all of the details on the model of the Toilet and our service plan documentation. Andy indicated that it would be a "one day repair" and that he was booked until August 16th to bring it in. We delivered the Coach to Camping World the evening of August 15th. Since then, I have spoken to Andy and he advised me that since this is a Thetford Warranty item, they have to follow their protocol and have Thetford ship them the required parts to perform the repair. They do not take parts from their existing inventory of service/parts department and perform the repair, instead they have to wait for the parts to arrive from the manufacturer. There is currently no confirmation of shipment from Thetford and no tracking of parts shipments to Camping World. I sent Ed Minor (Thetford representative) an email on the afternoon of the 16th to inquire when the parts would be shipped / delivered: To date: There has been no response from Ed at Thetford, I still have no idea when my Motorhome will begin to be repaired and have NO level of confidence that it will be completed in time for our Annual Vacation scheduled to depart on the 25th of this month. read more

I'm going to buy an RV, I have been looking on line for about 5 years, kinda know what I want. The sales person Jeff, could not have been less interested to help me. It felt like it was a total pain in his butt to take me in the golf cart and check out some used RVs. Reading the other yelp reviews, I'm not going back. The worst repair service we've ever encountered. After hauling our 5th wheel out To their repair shop 3 times this past summer (2015), we still never got the repairs requested. Landon would say the parts were in and then when we would go to pick our trailer up, they reported the wrong parts came in. Really 3 times? We tried for 3 months to get warranty work done, it never happened! We left our trailer their for a week for repairs, we called three days before we were suppose to pick it up, they hadn't even started working on it, they forgot it was there! They did install a new air conditioner that we were pleased with. read more

Apparently Camping World has sold my information to phone solicitors because I keep getting calls from someone trying to send someone to my home for a sales pitch for some kind of resort. Really don't appreciate having my personal cell phone number given to an annoying solicitor. I've asked them to remove me from their list 3 times and got the 4th call today, and finally blocked their phone number. Original review below: We haven't picked up the motorhome yet, just test drove it and paid a deposit, however, I've been very happy with the professional no/low-pressure behavior of the sales staff. In particular, Dee Russell was great to work with, very friendly and helpful. They worked with us to get us in the used motorhome we wanted at a price we could afford, and while there are still a few minor issues they don't plan to fix (because they came down quite a bit on the price) it's nothing I can't fix on my own. The original price was well above comparables on the market, so after our first visit we left without expecting to come back. Dee called us back to see if he could work something out, though, and worked hard to get our business by matching the price we would have paid for a very similar unit from another dealer. If I get a chance, I'll post further updates once we've had it for a while. We only interacted with a few other people at this location, but the receptionists were always very friendly and helpful, even if they were occupied handling phone calls. We had a terrible experience regarding a Hi Lo trailer that was for sale at Camping world in Draper, Utah. We asked about the condition of the trailer over the phone, if it was a clean unit, and the Sales Associate we spoke with assured us it was very nice and in good used condition. We put down a $500 deposit, and asked that they hold it for us until we could drive to Utah, look it over and pick it up. We traveled a little over 500 miles one way to close the deal. When we got there in the late afternoon we couldn't believe our eyes. It was dirty, rusty underneath, the carpet needed to be replaced and the tile was covered in stains. It was filthy. We told her that the pictures that were online did not look like the same trailer. She told us we should have asked for more detailed pictures and we told her that we honestly didn't think Camping World would even have this on their lot for sale in its condition. We went on the assumption that Camping World had a higher standard. We traveled just under 1100 miles round trip, and spent two nights in a motel. We were utterly devastated and disappointed. As lifetime Good Sam members we will never set foot, buy, or refer anyone to Camping World. The Sales Associate should have been honest and provided more detailed and accurate information. Hey, all of you who have, or have had a complaint against Camping World in Draper, just know that they are "very sorry". All of the negative complaints against them (and if you look, there are many) by those, who like me, have been jacked around by them in one, or many ways, are always responded to with a canned "We are very sorry". Do they mean it? No, because nothing ever changes; nothing ever gets fixed. We purchased our travel trailer brand new from them in 2016. Since then we have been lied to, ignored, and had our trailer improperly repaired. Each one of these happened more than once. My wife and I are retiring in a few years and want to trade up to a motor home. Do you think we will deal with camping world when we upgrade? Not a chance in hell!!
