This place has been nothing short of a nightmare to deal with. I purchased 4 electric dirt bikes from this place. My boys and I researched for so long and were so excited to get dirt bikes. One of the dirt bikes didn't come with a charger and one of the dirt bikes didn't come with a MCO. So not only can I not go to the DMV and get one of the bikes registered I had to buy a charger for one of them to even use it.... I have called and spoke to at least 8 different people and get the runaround every single time. I'm told every time they will call back and never once have I received a call back. I purchased by bikes 1 month ago and have still gotten nowhere with anyone. Trent, Kyle, Cason... You guys should feel ashamed in yourselves. This place is great and responsive until they get your money then they completely ghost you. Its truly shameful. read more

I'm really disappointed with my experience here due to pricing and lack of transparency. I was initially charged $200 to disassemble my forks. When I later brought them back already fully disassembled and provided all required parts, I was charged $412 just for reassembly, plus an additional $35 in "parts" charges, despite the fact that all parts used were my own. In total, this came out to around $700 for the disassembly and reassembly of forks that were already OFF the bike. That pricing simply does not make sense. I've previously worked in a motorcycle shop and as a service writer, so I'm familiar with standard labor practices. Reassembly typically takes less time than disassembly, and when customers provide parts or bring components in pre-disassembled, labor time and parts charges are usually reduced. None of that was reflected here. I was never given a clear shop labor rate, the receipt was extremely vague, and when I asked for clarification on how the charges were calculated, I was not provided any meaningful details beyond "that's just how we do it." For a professional service shop, this lack of transparency and the final cost feel unreasonable. Customers deserve clear labor rates, itemized receipts, and pricing that reflects the actual work performed. Unfortunately, that was not my experience, and I would not recommend this shop. read more

I love this location now that they've added Indian Motorcycles to their lineup and can service Indian as well. The staff I've interacted with have all been professional, friendly, and helpful. Right now as they're still in the process of finalizing everything with the remodel and the new lineup, things are a little hectic and not everything is in stock, but they've done their best and have ordered more than a few parts for me already. I also had a concern with my bike and wanted it looked at before I took it out on a week-long trip. They were super busy and still managed to squeeze it into a bay for a small adjustment to help me out. Ask for Chris if you need parts - great guy to work with. read more

I've just started my search for a new motorcycle, and figured I'd stop in at Moto United as they are the nearest Kawasaki dealership to me. Somehow customer service isn't even a consideration in this showroom. I walked in the front doors, and immediately to my left was a receptionist/desk. She looked up from her phone long enough to make eye contact with me - I said hello in a cheerful manner, attempting to engage in conversation - and before the words left my mouth she was back looking at her phone. She didn't say a single word. The models of motorcycles I was most interested in were within feet of several sales people during my entire 10 minute visit. I was not greeted by a single one of at least 4 people who were within feet of me the entire time. I'm not sure what else I could have done to act interested - clearly my blue collar appearance didn't meet their standards, as the next gentleman to walk in was greeted by more than one person almost instantly. This isn't my first experience like this at Moto United. I'll gladly take my business elsewhere, even if it means driving further. Also, absolutely no information was listed on any of the motorcycles, which may have helped in my experience of not being helped by an employee. No price, brochures, or even model years listed. After buying my Can-Am Maverick from these guys this summer, this is the first time I've taken it in for any major service/work. We've had a few bumps along the way getting everything done perfectly, but I have to say, the attention, effort, and professional courtesy of the guys at the service counter is second to NONE. Eddy handled my work for the majority of the time, but as always, others certainly chipped in, and are no less courteous, and at all times genuinely trying to help. Tim, Justin, Will, and Dave all worked to try to get everything to come together for us. These guys are always amazing. We all have to acknowledge that we live in crazy times these days. Things are nuts... EVERYWHERE. Nothing seems to go according to plan, nothing these days seems to flow like we're all accustomed to, but these guys never lose their professional attitude, and never stop trying to help. My husband and went to Moto United in Sandy 1-1/2 weeks ago, we were there for 15-20 min walking around. We sat on bikes & side by sides NO HELP at all. Everyone was on their phone or talking with one another. We weren't even greeted by the lady at the front door so we left and went elsewhere. Also our friend was in the market to purchase a side by side and really liked the two seater they had in the back showroom, he left a message about a week ago and to this day has never heard from anyone so he went to another dealership and now has a new Razor. read more

I've been in and out of here for all kinds of reasons over the last 10 years and have never really had a bad experience. You could say I'm a fan for no other reason than I don't think they've pissed me off or ever disappointed me over the years. But, in actuality many of the employees in the services center and in the parts/clothing center have often done a little extra to help with questions, needs, etc. Just a few weeks ago I picked up some new riding gear and boots for my son for his birthday and they gave me 25% off everything cause the new 2012 gear will be out soon. I've also been given deals on tires before and they've swapped tires out for me for free here and there over the years. Overall, I'm happy with this company and I'd recommend them. I was very pleased with the service I got and how willing the staff was to chat, share pictures of bikes being built, and toss around ideas with an old HD geezer. If you want to get treated in a manner where the "sales person" or in this case what I would refer to as an "order taker" does not care a hoot about you then go here. If you want top level customer service, and to spend your money with a business that makes you feel like you matter and they actually respect your time, money, and are considerate of those things, DO NOT GO HERE. We ordered a vehicle, put $$ down, ordered a custom kit on top of it all, and heard zero for 2 months. We had to call to get a status update, and were told, "oh, they (the manufacturer) no longer offers that one. No sorry, no apologies, no offer to make it right. They only offers we were given were "come get your deposit back if you want" or spend $10k more for a similar vehicle, or an older model with less power in the motor. We thought about it for a week, which during that week, the "order taker" didn't call us back once to see how our decision making process went. Nada. Needless to say, we went somewhere else where our $$ is taken seriously and we are treated with respect and courtesy. Horrible customer service, pandemic or not, I don't spend my hard earned $$ at a shop where they clearly do not give a damn about their customers. Buyer beware!!! read more

Service department is by far the worst I have ever seen! Waited 2 weeks to get work done after buying a brand new machine, and they still didn't have all the parts. They kept it an additional week and still would not have completed it, if not for me calling and continually babysitting them. We also bought an additional roof, and were ensured that we would get the one that was removed back. However, when we went to pick up machine the roof was no where to be found, and still yet to see it a month later. Furthermore, when I call to follow up, no one calls back. this place is a complete shit show, and it is not growing pains, like they will tell you. It is complete incompetence! read more

Sales rep was good but the finance guy is a criminal. When buying my UTV I said multiple times I didn't want the warranty. The finance guy added it anyway when we were finishing the paperwork. I asked him about it and he said the warranty will cover any issue even if we crash or roll the UTV. Which turned out to be a complete lie.. I had the UTV less then a year and the clutch went out. I tried to get it fixed under the 2500$ warranty I paid for but they wouldn't cover it. This was my first UTV and I went against my better judgement and got scammed. Go somewhere else reputable and stay away from this place. read more

Service department is a joke! Brought my rhino in for an over heating/starting problem (I was convinced it was a head gasket). They had it for nearly a month and told me it was fixed. They had supposedly fixed a seal or gasket on water pump. Cost me a little under 400 bucks. Went in it the following weekend and not 20 mins later its overheating again. Took it in and talked to the manager. He said he would make sure it got fixed. 2 months later they said it was fixed and said they replaced the radiator cap (I had already done that) got it returned with same cap. Took them 15 mins to pull it out to me. Got it home, still had starting problem and by the end of the night a tire was completely flat, had a huge gash in it which wasn't there before. So it probably took them the 15 mins to start it and pump the tire up. Let it sit all winter and took it in to steadmans a few saturdays ago. Told them what was wrong and what south valley did and they told me they'd fix it. The following monday they called and told me it was 2 quarts low on coolant (probably cause it was all burned out, why couldn't south valley even top off the coolant?) We decided to look into the engine and head gasket. Called me back the next day and said that yed the head gasket was bad, and they already had the head being milled somewhere. Told me on that thursday that it was done and I picked it up that Saturday. It works great now and Steadmans did a head gasket for about 300$. Their houly rate is about 1/3 of south valleys and they even gave me the head gasket back. Definitely worth the hour drive out to tooele to get it fixed and not have it sitting in a shop for 1/4 of the year. Steadmans has my business now, and their sales department is amazing as well, all you pay is MSRP and a small doc fee (was about 130$ on my 10600$ purchace) south valley will charge you over 1 grand more than MSRP with stupid set up, delivery etc. Fees. read more

I was not happy at all with how they handled my bike. In Oct 2015, I brought in my '02 YZ 426. On my last ride, it quit running in mid-ride. I was able to start it at least once after, but I was not able to start it again. I took it in requesting a diagnosis. They performed a compression test. They said it tested low (can't remember how low- but it wasn't alarming- maybe 80 psi when it should be 110-ish I think). I gave them the OK to tear down to investigate the problem. Mechanic found an minor issue with a valve lifter. Said that looked like the part had been pinched with plyers- probably by someone who didn't know what they were doing. This caused leakage at valve, so he replaced and adjusted to see if that was the problem. Re-tested compression- I was told it still tested low (but they didn't say how much), so mechanic took off the cylinder to check the piston/rings, etc. At this point they say they noticed the connection rod has too much play- beyond specs. Needs to be replaced they said. Said other parts showed signs of wear and recommended a full top/bottom rebuild ($3500).. I declined, and asked what it would cost to correct the problem that made it stop running, and not rebuild the bottom end. They called back saying it would still be $2000+, including connection rod. I declined connection rod. They said they would not rebuild top end without replacing the connection rod because of liability, cannot guarantee work, etc. In the end, I picked up the bike, with top end removed and two boxes of parts as they also refused to put it back together (saying they would be liable if something went wrong because I would not authorize them to replace the rod). I paid them over $300 and took home a bike that was in pieces. I was pretty pissed off. I'm still not exactly sure what the problem was why it stopped running. Piston and rings look fine- no damage. I took my bike in for a second opinion to another shop in Ogden. I told the owner about my experience at South Valley. He was surprised that their first instinct was to do a compression test and tear down the top end based on the fact that it quit mid-ride. He said it sounded more like a carb or fuel line issue. A couple weeks later, he called back. Says that he doesn't see anything wrong with motor. Crank shaft is fine and not out of spec. Piston and rings are OK, valves are also OK. Other than carbon deposits, he doesn't see anything wrong. He said the valve issue that SVMS found would not have caused the engine to quitmid-ride- so that wasn't the issue. He recommended putting in a new piston and rings simply because we have the cylinder off, so we might as well since it's relatively inexpensive. I gave OK to put back together. After putting it back together and verifying that it runs (very well, in fact), he checked the carb. Said the float was adjusted too low, and the needle and seat needed to be replaced. He said he could find nothing wrong with engine, and said that there was nothing internally wrong that would have caused it to quite running as I describe. Says he believes it was a carb/fuel related issue. So, after paying $300 to South Valley to tear apart my bike and refuse to put it back together, and not even telling me what was wrong with it, I took it to this guy who checked it out, put it back together (for $500) and then adjusted the carb. My bike is running great again- no thanks to SVMS- who it seems was only interested in selling me a full rebuild. read more

I dropped my Can-Am Maverick off for an alignment because one tire toed in and the other tire toed out(had to replace a tie rod and lower A-arm). 3 days later I contacted them to see when they thought they would be able to have it done. I was told it was on the schedule to be worked on the next day. 2 days later I hadn't received a call so I contacted them again. The guy I talked with had to check to see if it was completed. When he called me back he stated he had drove it and it drove great with no pulling. I asked him for the amount and it was a little more than I was told and he stated that it gave the service guy trouble and it took him a little longer to get aligned. The next day my husband went to pick it up he paid at the service desk and they went and got our machine. My husband did an inspection and they never even touched the machine, come to find out none of the services guys had even looked at it let alone worked on it. I find it funny that it costed more because it gave the service guy trouble. In the end we did get a refund and had to take it elsewhere. I will NEVER take anything back to them, let alone buy anything from them, I would rather travel 200 miles then go back. If I could give a zero rating I would. read more

These guys were great. I dropped my bike off Monday morning for a tire replacement. They told me they didn't have the tire I wanted in stock and needed to order it in. They also told me there was a list of people in front of me and it could take up to three weeks. It wasn't riding weather so I wasn't to worried about time. They called me on Friday saying my bike was done and ready for pickup. I picked up my bike. Happy with the new tire, the speed of service, and the cost was cheaper than I was told originally. While the service communication is lacking, the quality of work performed is not. They don't just do the bare minimum, they take a look at everything and correct any issues that they see or at the very least provide feedback so that you can decide whether or not you want to correct the issue. Great service staff. My only feedback is that I wish they would proactively communicate on a regular basis when you're have your rec vehicle in for repair. Estimated completion dates, etc. read more

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS DEALER I'd been looking to purchase a new ATV for the past 3-4 weeks, and came across some deals at South Valley. While they saved me a few hundred dollars from other locations, their customer service is lacking and needs to be fixed ASAP. If I had to do it over again I would spend the $200 and take my business to Steadman's. And if you do decide to deal with them DO NOT buy from Chad Wallwork. He does not deserve your business and acts as if the sale does not matter to him. When I went in to pick up my new four wheeler he had the nerve to say "I told you it would be ready TODAY, not when you got here. It'll take at least another hour. If you want we can REFUND YOUR MONEY AND YOU CAN GO ELSEWHERE." It's one thing for a breakdown in communication to happen. But it's a whole different situation when you treat your customer like that ~$10000 they just spent doesn't matter. To start off I had already been shopping around and when I finally arrived at south valley I knew the range the Grizzly 700's are going for. They had a decent price and started the deal with Chad Wallwork. The guy was grumpy from the start and was very short with his answers to my questions. Being my first time, I had a lot and he was treating me like he didn't take me seriously as a buyer. The model that I was interested in was the Camouflage Grizzly 700 with EPS. The one on the showroom floor had the skid plate package already installed. We tried to work out a deal with the skid plates but he wanted close to $1000 for them. If you are a savvy internet buyer you can buy the full set of Ricochet for ~350. After declining that ridiculous amount I decided to work a deal on an ATV without them. We came to an agreement and started the process. At this point I told him that I've done deals before with my bank and they usually require %20 down due to my credit and to subtract that from the total amount wanting to be financed. He said that was fine and he would submit the application. Due to it being later in the day it wasn't likely to go through until the next morning. The next morning I received a phone call from him saying the bank declined my application. I asked him if he submitted it with the down payment subtracted and he told me he did it for the full amount. He then proceeded to tell me that we could try with another bank, and I told him I would go into my branch and figure it out. I went in to my bank and they took the %20 and had me call Chad to get a copy of the deal sent over so they could write the check. I called up Chad and told him I was at the bank and they required the paperwork sent over. He asked me if that meant I would be picking it up today and I told him I would be up as soon as the bank was done with the process. He said that was great and he would have the ATV ready to go. I got the check, went home and hooked up a trailer, and grabbed some lunch. I live in Lehi and so by the time I had everything ready to go and arrived at their shop it had been 3 hours. When I got there he took me to the office with someone else to finish everything up and sign the papers. Got everything squared away and walked out to find him. He took me back and I noticed that it was the one from the show room floor with the skid plates still installed. He then chatted with the techs and came back to me. I asked him about it being the showroom model and he said that's the one we worked the deal on. Fine whatever I made that mistake by assuming id get a new out of the box one. I then asked him if it was ready to go and he proceeded to tell me it'd take another hour because they had to uninstall the skid plates and re install the stock plates. At this point I was upset due to the fact he said it would be ready to be picked up. He looked at me and asked if that was a problem. I said yeah it's pretty f*d up that you told me it'd be ready, it's been 3 hours since that call, and you need another hour. He then said "I told you it would be ready TODAY, not when you got here. It'll take at least another hour. If you want we can refund your money and you can go elsewhere." That right there is the kicker to the whole situation. It'd be one thing if he said that they are really swamped and it'll be a short bit to finish it up and we'll put you at the top of the list. But he had the nerve to talk down to me like the money I just spent meant nothing to him. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS DEALER read more

I would give this place 0 stars if I could!! The owner is a total ass and has NO customer service skills whatsoever!! We have had our boat for a year Mind you a brand new boat not used. They went over the basics nothing else knowing we have never owned a jet boat only propel.. the first time taking it out we thought we filled the boat full with gas only to launch the boat and an hour later while on the water it shows gas is low. We placed a call to be told that's how it is a safety mechanism so you have to pump and release over and over to fill it up. Come to find out it was a kink in the gas line a year later! They come up with bogus crap to get you off the phone. There employees even in the parts dept. act like your intruding on there day. We spent 70,000 dollars with them! HUGE MISTAKE!!! Take your boat to get winterized and summarized else where they are a fortune! We now use motor United best place and great customer service and prices are fair. read more

These guys have been great to deal with, even though I didn't buy the bike (Yamaha YZF-R6) I was looking at in their shop. Since purchasing the bike elsewhere, I have since been back to spend my money there in other ways. I called around a few places and they have, by far the best price on mounting and balancing tires/wheels. ...And they did it while I waited. ...And while I waited, I had a question about a sound my bike would occasionally make. I asked the guy at the service desk, and he was happy to help, but because he didn't know the answer for sure, he went off into the service bay to grab a technician and ask him. They then spent a good ten minutes with me discussing my issue to make sure I was set and didn't have any critical issue with my ride. I've never been to a service shop, car or bike, where they actually spent time with me; where I felt like I mattered to them. read more

Worst service I have ever received. Their service department is an absolute joke. Had a bike dropped off by my insurance company for a quote on accident damage. Was told it would be a week before they could look at the bike. Fine, it is what it is. 1 week goes by, no word, nothing, 1.5 weeks go by, still nothing. Call the shop and they say it usually takes 3 weeks. Um no, you told me 1 week, if you would have told me 3, I would have had it sent somewhere else. Service agent then gets a snappy attitude with me, when I have been nothing but cordial, and explaining that I was expecting a week since that was what I was told. Totally not professional and rude. They finally complete the quote, send it by email, which was quick. My insurance needs pictures with the quote, their response, we do not take pictures you have to have your adjuster come out and take pictures.. Well, State Farm does not have motorcycle adjusters, so they are making me take time off from work, since their service hours are the same as my work hours, to go down and take pictures, something my insurance would have been paying them to do.... WHAT A JOKE. We Picked the bike up and we will not be stepping foot back into this establishment, EVER. read more
