We were sold a faulty water heater, took it back to the store. It took 4 hours to do the return and order a replacement. We were told the heater would be here next week Monday. We go to the store in the afternoon and we're told no trucks came today. The guy said needed to call manager to fix issue. We waited.......1 1/2 hours. A guy walking around in a camping world shirt kept walking by us back and forth from behind the counter and around the store. Finally a guy came after 1 1/2 hours of waiting to inform us the manager said he will have to re order the water heater. We asked were the manager was, he pointed to the man that had been walking back n forth around us. At this point my husband has had it. Walked right up to the store manager stuck out his hand to shake and introduced himself. Notonce did this manager communicate with us until he was confronted, not once did this manager apologize for anything until it was pointed out to him. There is NO customer service after the sale. We bought and paid in full for a new travel trailer, should have been a happy time, instead it still is a nightmare after 6 weeks of trying to get the proper repairs and missing parts. The number to call Marcus VP does not help at all. I was told by Kristen Wright the rep that the general manager Brent Walker would contact me. Never happen, for 2 days he refused to take or return my calls. I guess customer service is not his problem. Ryan from the service dept was not much better. I had a little luck with Chris from service but still no results. I think the only good moment was when a service tech named Travis did my walk thru, he gave me all the time I needed and was knowledgeable about the unit. I bought a Colman dirt bike from this location . Drove all the way from Wellington because it's the closest location . Placing the order with a gentleman at the desk was straight forward pleasant . How ever when I went to pick up the order on Saturday July 29 around 11:30 am they had difficulty finding my order in store . Finely when they found it a young male employee wheeled it out the front door . I had brought an 80 yr old friend who had SUV to help me bring it . My friend being old could not help me lift the box and the box which weighed about 160 pounds slid off the back end of suv . Camping world employee just stood there and at at no time said can I help you give a hand to put this in suv . I was so disappointed and shocked thot a place that sells all big ticket items has an employee who is so helpless and ignorant just to stand there see me struggle with the purchase . Calming world needs to hire people who are not afraid to give you a hand especially as they sell big ticket bulky items . Needless to say I won't be returning . read more

My husband and I are planning to do a transition to a RV. We seen a commercial about this place called camping world. So we decided to stop in. And we were greeted with a smile. And then we were introduced to this wonderful salesperson by the name of Marissa Steinik and she walked up to us with a wonderful smile on her face. And she went through everything piece by piece so we completely understand what we are doing and buying. Also Marissa made sure she gave us a complete walkthrough and made sure all of our questions were answered. So if you're looking for a perfect RV please stop by Camping world and ask for Marissa. A very disorganized cumbersome lengthy experience with this Fort Pierce Camping World. I would say it would very much be worth anyone's time to go to Bartow or to Cocoa Beach than to come here. We were selling a camper in prime condition and got involved in a bait and switch competition with the manager and the purchaser both. In the end, after much aggravation and arguing, and four hours of being there we took Their 3rd final offer only because at that point we were worn down and the option would've been to go to another camping world which is what we should've done to start with. We are both business people owning our own companies and have never encountered such an unprofessional display disguised as a business deal. read more

Too often people don't identify when an organization has made significant positive changes. My initial experience with Camping World of Fort Pierce resulted in two one-star reviews (which I never have done before), many calls to corporate attempting to get answers which resulted was me becoming an RV YouTube junkie which not the plan. I purchased a Class C motorhome which let's say it did not go well with service. I spent hours developing an outside support network and I even wrote a strong non emotional letter to the CEO of Camping World for guidance. In the past few months, new management in both sales and service have made Camping World a significant resource of value to RV owners. The transformation is evident, the staff all openly acknowledge any issue and work very hard to achieve customer service. They work together without the finger pointing. I would strongly recommend you revisit them for the destination of choice when buying or servicing an RV. The change is so positive we closed yesterday on a new Class A motorhome at Camping World. Well all I can say so far is the service department has completely underperformed! I dropped my camper off in June for some minor repairs and it's still there! This is a little ridiculous and very unfortunate I'm making a payment on something I can't even use! No we have our annual camping trip coming up and for some reason they say they can't get the parts from one supplier they have to get them elsewhere and they are in stock. But they are telling me I have to wait until Wednesday! You would think if they where really concerned about a customer that's been waiting as long as I have they would say something along the lines of "Hey we went ahead and had them overnight your parts at no cost to you" but nope. As far as communication, I have had to initiate the phone call. They have not attempted to reach out to me, I call my service writer isn't available and he calls me back a day or 2 later. I'm hoping this poor experience is only due to them being so new and it's unfortunate I'm part of them working out kinks. As far as the store goes they have a lot of well priced camping and sporting goods, and the staff is very nice. We talked to a couple sales reps and they where nice as well they aren't overly pushy and even if you're not interested in buying they will still let you browse. read more

We purchased our 2022 Jayco RV back in February from the Fort Pierce Camping world. While the shopping and purchasing experience was great, everything thereafter was not. Our salesman Isaac was very helpful, our walkthrough guy David as well, and Keith in finance. However, once we started our trip we encountered several serious issues with our unit. Starting with a malfunctioning wireless break control system due to an "electrical overload" to malfunction in the water heating system. When we opened the compartment where the cables run through we found entangled cables, peeled and burned. Eventually we started getting shocked when stepping into the step to get into the unit and seeing sparks. No one in the Camping world in Houston Texas was able to help us because of the "year, make, and model" of our unit. Same issue in Arizona, same issue in California. At no point we're we able to get in touch with David, the person who did the walkthrough with us, even though he said he would be more than happy to assist us at any point after our purchase. Our salesman Isaac was never able to assist us and was unwilling to escalate the issue to his superiors. Marina in reception constantly kept telling us the persons we were trying to reach were busy and would "call us back" no one ever did. Finally I called and asked Marina to transfer me to someone in regards to their returns policy. I was immediately transferred to a sales manager called Peter who is currently trying to help us set an appointment to have our unit serviced. Our issues are still unresolved as this has been an ongoing process with Camping World. We do not recommend you purchase your RV from this giant, as they will promise you 100 things to sell you the unit but will not support you as a customer when you run into issues with your purchase. read more

As other reviews here, my story seems to be similar. I bought a 31 ft Four Winds new in March 2022 and the sales experience with James Key is first class. Once the deal is closed a complete nightmare. Being a new RV owner, I "assumed" things were operational and I was given a 1-hour overview. After that time, I learned the propane wasn't filled, the kitchen drawers were broken, 50% of the systems were never tested and I have spent hours with Thor customer service to resolve things. Service is a nightmare. First, we needed to install a Safety T steering device to stabilize the steering. They installed it with no bushing and it pulled to the right hard. So hard, at times it came out of my hand at which St. Lucie Tire resolved the issue and presented me with a $400 invoice. I showed it to the then General Manager which he saw the issue and immediately sent to a reimbursement check because he knew the issue. Secondly, the kitchen drawers fell apart and the service department glued them in and tried using a screw. It failed again which I repaired. Remember, this is over a $100k. Third, I had installed a flat tow system which works with the RV. My Jeep they wired to work with the RV and until a few months after when I tried using the Jeep to tow my boat, the trailer lights did not work. The reason why is Camping World cut the wires to use the wiring system for the RV/Jeep, not caring the Jeep to trailer. I called the new general manager, and the attitude was unprofessional at best. I don't use the Jeep/trailer connection alot and he felt that when it left the RV/Jeep connect was his responsibility and it was a cost to me to repair what Camping World did. Never would anyone with a brain would pirate one system and disabling another and then try to justify it. His only solution was a $165 service call in April 2023. He spent almost 30 mins trying to push this issue back to me. The only reason I knew about it was I had my boat trailer serviced the lights worked on the bench but not at the Jeep. The trailer company looked at the Camping World installation and saw the power wire around the gas tank and cut wires hanging. Camping World is good if you get a deal then go elsewhere. Be prepared to spent time with Youtube videos and teach yourself. Most of the people dont know the product... read more

Tried to rip me off when I was selling my towable trailer. Peter made up some trumped up problems and wanted to reduce their offer by $5,000. I call that a "bate and switch". Would never purchase anything from this store. Prices seemed very high on the RV's that I was showed as well. I would say seller and buyer beware. And no I would not like to speak with you further. We bought a camper from here 5/2022 and the Sales people are Great!!! The Camper itself is a piece of shit... (Jayco Northpoint) Customer Service is garbage. Everyone you need to talk to is never there. They sell you the moon and the stars till it's time to fix it, Then everyone goes in Ghost mode. Stay away from here. They wanted me to take a $45,000 loss!!! I bought an Airstream, for $125,000, from them in July. I put down $45,000. I found out I was allergic to the wool insulation. I wanted to trade it in for something much cheaper, and found a 5th wheel for $85,000. The promised me a good deal. Then, when they did the financing they wanted me to have a $85,000 loan and pay $11,000 deposit. So I would have been looking at a $55,000 loss. I walked out! I don't recommend them! read more

PLEASE READ THIS and Beware! Don't make the same mistake I did. I was warned that this would happen but I feel for their great customer service, attentiveness and willingness to help DURING THE PURCHASING PROCESS. This is the absolute worst company I've ever done business with. I've regretted it since the day I took my RV off their lot. They are very responsive and thorough when you are considering purchasing from them. The second you have the RV, that all changes. Ive called and been promised a call back or follow up at least 30 times by now, no exaggeration. This is including the cases (yes more than 1) opened with their corporate office. I've had my camper for only a few months and I literally have to hound them to get anything fixed or addressed. I still have leaks, a fridge that's not working, a faulty roof and ac, non of which have been addressed months after advising them of the problems! If I could give them negative stars I would. I would do anything in my power to rid myself of this nightmare of a company. It's just not worth the stress As soon as you've spent your money, they will treat you like trash. They will leave you waiting indefinitely, make several promises to address issues that never come to pass and there's no one you can turn to for a solid resolution. If I could give a -1 Star review, that's what I would have given. Their SERVICE DEPARTMENT IS AWFUL!!! I bought a BRAND NEW 2021 5th wheel, top of the LINE! I was told By JAY the Service Dept Manager himself that they very RARELY see problems with Jayco's they are TOP OF THE LINE Trailers. NO JOKE, THE SECOND WE GOT IT HOME, the problems began! Not Only was I told these were Professionals that could deliver my Trailer, HE SCRAPED THE SIDE OF MY TRAILER ON MY BRAND NEW VINYL FENCE, and of course my side of my Brand New 5th Wheel as well... Strike 1, Next as we know it's an auto-level, this PROFESSIONAL, didn't know how to auto-level my JAYCO??? So there it sits waiting to auto-level. I waited weeks for a service man to come out, since Jay the MANAGER of the Service Dept. Dropped it off on my property couldn't figure out why there was an error, he put it too high (he has one himself he said?) I finally got it "auot-leveled" However then the rain came, and we have a FULL LEAK in our brand new 5th wheel only on one side of our 5th wheel. Again a serviceman comes outs, can't figure it, tries 1 thing, leaves, we have major damage to our New Dining Room Set, cracks, water damage, etc. Rain starts again, its leaking again. Jay refuses to not only answer my calls but take my calls! When he finally returns my calls he then does it, after hours, leaves a message and I can't call back, they are closed. Next My beautiful Fireplace goes out, no longer works. Again, another service call. They ordered parts and a new fireplace back in December, with my New Dining set, I called in January, still hadn't received it was told it would be here by the end of January, nope, not here. Then Maybe the end of February!?!?!? OK, now suppossedly the fireplace showed up, not the dining set, so I decided to go pick up the fireplace and we install ourselves. Now I have tried to involve Jays Boss Chris, I was told he said I had to wait for HEAT, becacuse MY HEATER WENT OUT TOO, until all my parts came in at once, they were not making another service call, as if this was my fault??? OK, so we dealt with the heater situation and got it fixed ourselves, they will receive our bill. This is under a 2 year warranty. Picked up our NEW FIREPLACE, installed it today, just to find out, it was THE WRONG FIREPLACE. They are incompetent, can't even order the right part number. My Fireplace is full of Beautiful crystals, colorful with flames. They gave me a wood burning fireplace, looks nothing like my 5th wheel. BEWARE WHEN PURCHASING FROM GANDER, THEY WILL BE NICE TO YOUR FACE AND ACT LIKE THEY UNTIL YOU DRIVE AWAY, THEY NO LONGER CARE. I will now deal with Jayco ONLY! First let me say I was tricked from the get go at Camping world of Greenville North Carolina! My salesman James McGee came off as a good dude but all smoke and mirrors I had been looking at a coleman 17b for bout a week , I was headed to Florida for a job and needed it to stay in ,so I got approved loved the one I was looking at up front same one he showed me every time even when I look on line it was the same one with deal pending the closing day or pick up day they told me they was getting it ready in the back I pulled up and it was still sitting there asked why they said they had another in back that being a little off but had to get on road or lose my job so thinking I could trust them I took it problems after problems if I would of gotten the one I was looking at I believe I would not have to call warranty every week just to get told it's going to upper management and hear nothing else, and before I left with camper the day of closing they asked me to write a review I didn't want to at all but I did cause at the time the grass was to tall to see the snakes stay clear of any camping world dealerships read more

John Natoli was our service advisor and he was the worst. We brought our camper in to be fixed in November. It took weeks for the parts, which was fine, but we were not notified when they arrived. We tried contacting John several times, and even had our insurance adjuster reach out. All we got were vague, one word replies. We did not get a hard date on when the work would be completed. We were moving out of state and needed the repairs done by a certain date. After several failed attempts to get an answer from John, we had to speak to his supervisor, who promised us the work done by a certain date. John then called and told us it would be a day later. Come to find out, the work was done and he decided to schedule the pick-up at HIS convenience, not ours. When we arrived, he complained to us that we had gotten him in trouble. He said we should be thankful that at least he was honest about the price. The technician and the manager were fine. But the service rep John was the absolute worst. No customer service, no professionalism. Would definitely not recommend him to anyone. Ever. read more

Agree with everyone else. NEVER BUY ANYTHING from Gander RV just the worst. They even try to get you to buy the extended service contract for 7K!!!! They can not even make the simplest of fixes like running lights. I bought a brand new 5th wheel from them, lots of things wrong that they said they would fix and never did. Never call you back.
