Camping World of Asheville deserves and updated review. They move to a five star with new management and support staff in the service dept (Crystal and staff rock). Took my camper in again (expect a lot of problems with correcting poor quality of RVs coming out of the factory). Thank goodness for extended warranties. They got my camper in and out with repairs made. I will add it is appalling to see such poor quality from the RV industry. Some problems appear as if some worker came in either drunk or extremely hung over. We paid $50k for a fifth wheel, not from Camping World but factory direct, and the trailer needs repairs regularly to correct factory mistakes. I will never buy another camper from camping world me and my husband bought a brand new fifth wheel in June 2016 and we've had to take it back over 8 time's because of the air conditioner keeps messing up they said they put a brand new air conditioner on and still it's messed up again and the furnace keeps blowing fuses they also said they fixed that still done the same thing all winter had to keep buying fuse's very disappointed with them. read more

Autumn is the worst service rep I ever had not to help me (the worst). She had my camper for over six weeks and done nothing. I had brought it in for paint repair and have a window awning put on it. If I needed to find out what was going on with the camper I had to call her and she still didn't know anything about the camper. After six weeks she got an estimate on the paint job and it was $4600.00 and never got the estimate on the window awning. I finally took it from Asheville to Marion and in a week time I have an estimate and the parts ordered to fix the front paint job and the awning on the camper all for $2750.00. Dangerously incompetent service: They replaced a bearing on our popup camper on 9-7-17 and forgot to tighten the wheel nuts. Several hundred miles later, the tire nearly came off on the Interstate, ruining the rim, wheel hub, and studs. I contacted the service manager, Robert Parks, who expressed doubt that their tech failed to tighten the lug nuts. This cost us around $600 in avoidable expenses and a lot of grief and frustration. He said if I had the other repair shop (who fixed their goof) break out specific parts, then they might reimburse it. I will never do business with Camping World again. In Florida, my experience was that the sales department was guilty of rape and thievery. Looks like in Asheville they are also dangerously incompetent and not particularly concerned about it. read more

Bought a new camper, first trip out, waterheater goes out. Call the service department, leave a message, STILL waiting on a return call! Call the Good Sam online tech, he was knowledgeable, but could not help with the issue. Call the service department Monday after returning from our maiden voyage, and I am told they have no Mobil service, I need to haul my 26 footer back to them( over an hour away), and leave it, meaning another trip up the mountain and back! In the meantime, have another trip booked with our grandkids, and NO HOT WATER! Have a call into the general manager now, waiting on his return call. DO NOT BUY A CAMPER FROM THIS PLACE. We made the mistake in mid May and wish we would have gone somewhere that appreciated our business. We should have known there was going to be problems from day one. We were scheduled to have our walk through and when we arrived, the unit wasn't ready. We were having the bed replaced and one of the toilets, neither had been done. In fact, the toilet was sitting in a box next to the unit. I guess we were lucky they had a bed in stock otherwise we would have been SOL. The person that was supposed to walk through the unit with us spent about 10 minutes with us. We still don't know how to use a number of things. The unit hadn't even been cleaned up or anything. Very disappointing. During the sales process, we were told a number of things that were not true and actually were an out and out lie. We do not have a truck to pull our 5th wheel at this time so we had the unit delivered. We were told if we had any warranty items to be fixed they could have a mobile unit come out...well that was a lie. We have two items we've been trying to fix for over 3 months and haven't gotten them fixed yet. We have made numerous phone calls to the Service Dept. and the Service Manager. We even made a trip in twice and talked to the General Manager. They all tell you they are gonna fix the items and they never do anything. They do not return phone calls, they pass the buck and do absolutely nothing. The General Manager even admitted to us he has Service Dept. issues and he's working on getting them resolved, but he has been as useless as everyone else. I'm giving camping world in Asheville only four stars but AJ is the only I am giving this review and why it's not one star. AJ is amazing!! He knew where all the rvs were and when I explained a certain style he knew immediately the model to take me to and where to find it. I only looked in five rvs when I found the one I really liked because he listened and then took me to the right rv. Then when I went home and text a couple questions he was immediate In his response and even made me some videos to explain my questions. How cool is this guy?!?!?! He knows his stuff and he's good at what he does but sorry AJ your finance guy was quick to "sell" and not quick to "listen". No worries though as AJ was very helpful and even though I didn't buy my first rv from him, I'm going to buy one from him eventually. This is the guy who understands what the customer wants and needs and he does everything within him to help. Kudos to Camping World for finding this gem. read more

Delivered my trailer for scheduled service appointment on Oct 27. Fix bathroom exhaust fan, winterize, wash and wax....almost 3 weeks later and less than honest responses to my questions. 3 times told it was ready, first, I arrived to tow home...no work had been done, they volunteered to deliver, set date, they forgot...I waited for 2 hours...3rd attempt, they arrived 5 minutes early...none of the work had been done! I told them to take it back and do the work...the poor driver handed me a gift card for $20...really!!! Have dealt with local management and Corp customer service. Sales department is very attentive and helpful. The service department is another story. We have literally had our camper at Camping World more in the last 6 months more than it has been in our possession. It's all been simple warranty related repairs but they repeatedly got in the wrong part. We would leave it for weeks at a time to have a gasket replaced and it simply would not get done. They will build your patience. Nice people, just never get anything done. read more

RV Service Dept - don't bother!! Maybe the service Dept is more responsive on RV's purchased here - but after more than 3 separate visits for service - we are still waiting to meet the A team. Very difficult to get a call back from anyone there. First interaction- when we went to pick it up, we discovered they lost our keys! Second interaction (6 months later with a new camper): they kept it over a month (& charged us to repair a cracked valve because the season changed and pipes froze); didn't do the repair properly (we had to have another repair shop fix it, and lost our (new) keys. They did, however, hand us the old keys which finally showed up. We were traveling across the country and called several times about a recurring problem. Could not reach anything but voice mail and never got a call back! Camping World in Albuquerque -GREAT people there - promptly fixed it for us. Don't waste your money! read more

Absolutely the worst Camping Dealership I have ever purchased a camper from or attempted to have service work completed at!!!!!! We live in Wisconsin and were purchasing a camper from a local dealer, when we were approached by this dealership and asked to purchase from them. I should have known right then!!!! We ended up purchasing our camper a 2019 Montana Legacy 4 season. We waited for 3 weeks to have it delivered.....after numerous phone calls, text and email. That is when our nightmares with Camping World Asheville began, our campers antenna was missing, our rear A/C unit was smashed and our roof had 5, foot long knife slits in it!!!!! Then we go inside, the first bath toilet doesn't work, both temperature controls didn't work, our kitchen light was hanging down missing bolts and nuts!!!!! The rear shade was broken, A/C vents hanging down from the ceiling and our automatic leveling system didn't work!!!!! We called Camping World Asheville and guess what......nothing was their fault, all that damage was caused in transport.....please!!!!!! Again after many phone calls, text and emails we had an appointment set up to have our camper repaired. When we arrived with our camper, none of the parts we needed were there, they all had to be ordered and would come in the following week. The service managers excuse, "oh, I thought you were just bringing it in for us to look at to see what we needed then you would drop it off some other time" right, because we live right down the road!!!!! We live in Wisconsin!!!!! We have all the emails and text back and forth from the "Service Manager", setting this appointment up, but some how, he mis interpreted what all that meant. The workers are awesome and very friendly!!!!! Every person we talked to agreed with us except for the "Service Manager" avoid this dealership at all cost!!!! I just picked up my 2007 Class A RV today after 6 weeks at this facility and I will never take it back there again. I brought it in on the way from home from a Florida trip where the water heater quit. I drove 6 hours and arrived shortly after 4 to see if a tech could give me an estimate and was told it was too close to 5:00 for someone to give me a quote. So, I brought it back the following week (against my better judgment) and figured I would have some smaller issues quoted as well as a quote on replacing the flooring with new vinyl and have some exterior fiberglass repaired and repainted (Less than 20% of the total square footage of the exterior) I had to deal with Autumn again at the service desk who was the one that told me it was too close to closing time the first time I was there. She told me it would be a few days to get the quote to me. 9 days and numerous emails later, I received the quote. $2600 for the smaller issues and $24,000 for the flooring and paint! They quoted 120 man hours at $129/hr to repair the fiberglass and repaint the white areas only, no graphics. These were pits in the exterior finish, not structural damage. I opted out of the paint and floor repairs and decided for the smaller items ( water heater, inverter, toilet valve, air filter, tail light, top off hydraulic fluid and I figured I'd get it detailed while I was there) After a month, I was told all was complete and when I went to pick up the rig, it was as dirty as the day I dropped it off. The other repairs were complete and I had hoped to have a clean rig to use for the summer. Autumn told me she'd forgotten to schedule the detailing and would take it off the bill. No kidding, I certainly wasn't going to pay for a service not rendered. I asked to speak to the service manager and only got as far as the Asst. He told me that the quote for the paint was justified although he admitted that CW shop fees were quite high at $129/ hr. I wasn't convinced. He apologized for my dissatisfaction with my visit but, still charged me full price and sent me on my way with a dirty RV. I purchased my RV from a CW in Tallahassee Fla. (that's a whole other story) but, I believe my dealings with CW are over. Buyer Beware! read more

There was an abrupt departure of our service for person at Camping World and his spot was taken over by Autumnwas excellent. Not knowing anything about what it happened with our trailer or how far along we were in the path process she just came in took over and helped us get our trailer fixed and back to us. Horrible customer service don't go here or use them unless you want to be disappointed. They sold us a damaged salvaged fifth wheel that could have potentially killed us or others. The pin box was detached and the camper was full of rot and black mold in the walls. It was hidden by FRP board. They refused to help us or even return calls. After t9 months of trying to get Asheville to help us, We eventually got help at Tom Johnson Camping Center in Marion. I highly recommend them. Travis And Bob got the issue resolved fast. Very unprofessional. On vacation and had to replace broken parts on 5th wheel. I had to wait at the checkout for several minutes because the young lady working the register was out with her dog, all the while the receptionist was 5 feet away doing nothing. I had to stop by the following day for another part. There was no help on the floor, no " welcome, we appreciate your business", just the comment "you should have joined the club". If anything else needs replacing, I hope I have time to get it from Amazon with free shipping and a better price! read more

Stay away! We purchased a new toy hauler/travel trailer on Sept 30, 2018. The sales team was great! When we did our walk through of the camper there were a few issues that needed to be repaired including the awning lights, a hole in the ceiling, a tear in the kitchen floor, and place on the underbelly that was hanging down. None were major issues, but with it being a new unit they were things that needed addressed. I was told by the sales team and the service department that there would be no problem fixing these things, to just bring the camper back at my convenience. On December 30, we took the camper back to be repaired. The lady at the service desk made a list of the work that needed done, said the parts would have to be ordered which would take about 7-10 days and the camper would be fixed that next week. Well, two weeks later I called to check the status and was told they were having trouble getting the work approved, after that, every week was a different problem. Finally, this past Saturday, Feb 24, almost two months later we were told the work was complete and we could pick it up. When my husband got it home I went to check it out and found they had not repaired the kitchen floor, the duct tape we had put on there to hold the bottom of the camper was still there and the underbelly had not been touched, they had black dirt/grease all over my new walls, and left a mess of metal shavings and a screw in my floor. I'm now waiting on the manager of the store to call me back to see what needs to happen next. Avoid Camping World! I've since read many reviews and it's the same across the board! They're great at talking you on to buying the camper, but after sale service is horrible! In response to the comment from Camping World's Sam G. I'm sure your job is to go in and try to smoothe things out online when your company gets bad reviews. Unfortunately, that's where your job stops. I have approximately 30 different texts and emails where I have reached out to different associates of CW. There's one thing you all have in common. You e all been trained to say sorry. However, those thirty sorries I've received have done nothing to fix my camper. I've tried reaching out to the store manager Bobby Dickson multiple times and am always told he's out of the office, away from the desk, etc. I've left my number and he refuses to call me back. read more

My husband and I were there today. They do not keep a good inventory at the Asheville location so we stopped in to find out about campers in their other locations. They first told us they could bring units from their other locations. However, when we selected the units we were interested in, they said those particular units were not eligible. They told us the owner only picked quality units to transfer from one lot to the other. Makes absolutely zero sense. Why do they have the other units on their lot if they are not good quality? We were looking at new units. They now own Tom Johnson Camping Center in Marion which is really disappointing. We left and were trying to decide what to do when we saw a Sign that said "Miles RV" center not even a mile from them. We are now the proud owners of a new Jayco! read more

We bought a used Class A Motorhome from this establishment. Our salesman was so laid back and didn't have answers to most of our questions and did not even offer to find the answers for us. We asked for a few things in the coach to be fixed and also asked if it would be cleaned before being delivered to us. To all the answer was "yes". They did fix the items, however they never touched the coach as far as cleaning it at all. Since we are newbies in this, they did have a person who showed us everything we needed to know and do on the day we picked it up. He wasn't the one who did the checkpoints on the coach so he didn't have a lot of answers to our questions either, as he said he hadn't worked on it. Part of our deal was getting the Good Sam's premium membership. When trying to start our account online Good Sam's had no idea about our membership. In fact, it was one month before Camping World even turned it in to Good Sam's. When I questioned Camping World they said Good Sam's premium dept. was backlogged. When I called Good Sam's they said they don't even have that dept. Long and short of it; Camping World lied and just hadn't turned our membership in. Then we needed a mirror fixed and took the coach to Camping World and they said they would have to replace the whole mirror. They were also supposed to check to see if this item was covered under our extended warranty we purchased for 4K. Yes, 4K!! That was mid June and to date have not heard a word back from Camping World. In the meantime we researched the mirror, found the part and fixed it ourselves for 75.00. The entire mirror did not have to be replaced. Yesterday I called their service dept. and got Brian's voicemail. I left a message because I wanted a price for something. No call back yesterday or today. I called again today and was finally able to speak to someone in service and their price was 2-4 times higher than two other RV service centers in the area. We don't put much faith in Camping World's service dept and we've heard from a lot of other people that they are very disorganized and that Camping World in Spartanburg is much better. I know we won't be taking our coach there for service. read more

One star is being generous with the lack of interest to one's job and customer service. My husband and I stopped by here to have a tire changed. He explained that we had a spare but wanted to have them change it out and the woman completely ignored him and kept asking about tire size like we needed to buy one from them. She then proceeded to pawn my husband off to someone else who he explained to once again we had a brand new spare just needed it changed out. He asked for the tire size my husband told him what it was and he acted like he had no clue what to do other than order a tire. Well you idiots we are on a time frame, we have a tire, no need to order one just wanting to pay you to put it on. Needless to say, they were close to closing time so by the time the service guy said he didn't know if they were allowed to put spares on the girl came back and said no they were closing and there wouldn't be enough time. If they hadn't pissed around they could've easily changed it out. Thank you Camping World for nothing. So ridiculous. read more

If you make a study, how rude it can get, how people act who has no plan about customer service, if you want to know, how often theycan lie to somebody within 5 minutes, if you want to know, how long you can stand in front of a service desk without being aknowledged and how people react, when you treat them with the same respect they treat you - well- this is the right place to go. If you don't have an appointment (most important thing in the whole store)- don't even bother to go there. I can't tell you how to make an appointment, because they don't even pick up the phone or call you back. If you like to get sarcastic- don't bother- they don't understand the reason and do absolutely not like it (you have an appointment? - well, if you would had picked up the phone within the last 4 days, where I called you over 20 times, you would know why I'm here...) no- after that they refuse to do anything for you at all. Especially, when they figure out, that you're angry- for them, that's a challenge, how far they can go. And they don't like it, when you contact the manufacturer and find out about their lies (the manufacturer does not respond, manufacturer declined warranty, manufacturer is behind with warranty claims, manufacturer has no parts, etc...) and if you even dare to confront them with their lies and tell them to call a specific person at the manufacturer to solve the issue- they tell you: don't tell us how to do our job and hang up the phone (when you're really lucky to get someone on the phone at all). When you then after month appear unannounced and find your brand new, 1 month old camper in the dirtiest last place of the lot, full with mud (what did they do? going muddin?) dust and bird poop and finally loose it, don't expect them to reflect them self and ask, what did I do wrong, that the customer goes off on us?. No- they will try to lecture you, how to behave and communicate with them, will tell you again the lie about the unresponsive manufacturer (even though you know already that that's a lie) and if you then tell them, that you pick up your unrepaired camper to get it somewhere else, don't expect them to be careful with your expensive property- they love to drop it a foot high down on the tongue jack. have fun there and enjoy. For me- I will avoid this store and Camping World at all, like the Devil holy water and go, where I'm valued as good paying and loyal customer. read more

Camping world used to be number one in service but no more. Why corporate office doesn't do something about this Asheville camping world , I will never understand..(don't they look at all the negative reviews ) Day 1: The management in the service department has got to be the worst ever Shattered ( read why at end of this narrative ), I dropped off our motorhome to be serviced and the check in receptionist said she had to enter some data on her computer which was in the back and it would be about 20 minutes before she could deal with us. I said could you enter that data later and wait on us.. She said no it had to be done now~ Then she disappeared for about three minutes and returned and waited on another customer who wasn't even there when we tried to check it.. finally I got another associate who was walking by and told her the situation and then she Along with two other associates talked for about five minutes and then she came and waited me. ( Far out~ right?)... she spent less than five minutes checking me in ........Week 2 (not day 2 but week 2) Camping world has had our motorhome for two weeks and has agreed to fix three items of the six on our list and it has taken me over 22 calls where 95% of the time I am dealing with answer phones with no return calls . Brandy (service receptionist) is useless and just puts people off until the next time you call and get an answer phone and when you are lucky enough (I only say lucky because you're speaking to a real person instead of an answer phone but then again she's more insulting than the answer phone because you think she's actually going to help you but doesn't do nothing) as she promises somebody will call you back but they don't . Because the doorstep kept going in and out while we were driving (a real safety hazard) and the back bushings on the anti-swaybar were destroyed both of these items had to be fixed before we moved on or we would have just picked up the motorhome and said forget it . We needed a new wheel well and on the eighth day that they had the motorhome and she (Crystal said she would get back to me that day let me know if they could get one )but she never did and I called two days later and she (Crystal) couldn't talk to me - of course Brandy said she would get back with me and she didn't .....and this type of service just went on and on.... then Crystal blamed it on the guy in the parts department and promised she would get back to me that very day and she didn't and she never did and I had to call them again in two days and continue the quest to get next to nothing accomplished. We came in with five items on a ticket of which they resolved 2 due to your negligence on their house and to talk the whole thing off when we came to pick up the motorhome they had left the power step on which drained the motorhome battery so we came into a dead battery and they were getting ready to close and we had to ask three different times to get someone to help charge the battery. By the way they had our motorhome for two weeks and one day to get repair the bushings, and the steps and rebuilt the side latch that was supposed to be replaced and the bill with over $500. They were also supposed to put in some new latches but they could never get the parts department to get them ordered properly because the guy who does the ordering was out sick so the whole place shuts down. We have been camping world customers since 1972 and have watched this company grow in size but become less efficient and F minus in customer service but this camping world tops them all. Do yourself a favor and then too as they will REJOICE when you go elsewhere. P.S. When I was following the person who dropped off the motorhome for me, my jeep caught on fire and was completely destroyed (fire engines, police ,paramedics ) and I was having heart palpitations and I was clearly shattered...I told the associate what happened and she offered no sympathy or even a place to sit down when she insisted I wait for the said 20 minutes required for her to input the data in the back of the store, I almost collapsed. She looked at me , and turned around and went in the back of the store to put in her data. (like I had fabricated the whole ordeal) read more

Recently needed routine work done on my 24 ft MH. Stated I was due to leave area in two weeks if poss. Rob that wrote my work order stated my warranty would probably not cover it because nothing seemed mechanical (shower Leak and damp floor at sofa)...One week later to the day...no communication from them...nothing...I called ..for Rob to tell me they were waiting to hear from warranty!! why?.they had determined all I needed was sky light replaced due to Crack and topper over slide needed replacing. they only needed to order a sky light.. they had material in stock to cut topper for slide and only had to cut it and install it... Excuses given by Rob and assist Mgr included...Rob had baby coming...short staffed..man cut finger..I cannot make nor break this business but if I had a choice...it would be the latter...FYI... My husband & I went to camping world on 2/27/19 & found an RV that we really liked. We were given an offer on our RV sight unseen after we answered a series of questions. We called the next day & said we wanted to purchase & signed the papers. We were told to be there on Saturday at 1:00 for an inspection on our RV and would have a walk through on the new one at 2:30. After numerous questions on why there was such a delay we were told that the inspection had never been scheduled in the service department. It was after 5:00 when our walk through started on the RV we had purchased. They closed at 6:00 & we were the only ones left. We left somewhere around 6:30 & were told the information for our tag would be sent to the DMV on Monday. After two weeks we had heard nothing from the DMV. We were finally contacted from camping world needing information from us to send to the DMV. Another week passed and by now our temporary transfer had expired so we had an RV we couldn't drive. Finally called & requested help from someone which revealed our RV had never been inspected & the DMV rejected the request. Finally this was resolved after having purchased a month earlier. We scheduled our first trip which was delayed 2 hours because we had no towing lights due to a blown fuse which was difficult to locate & replace. Started down the road & the truck air conditioning did not work. Arrived at our campsite & found that the pipes under the kitchen sink had separated & water was pouring on the outside and the charging station does not work. Worst experience of our lives. Now we have to figure out how to get these things fixed & it WILL NOT be with camping world. read more

I bought my new camper 2 years ago and took it back to have it winterized....when I took it back to have it in-winterized by out size shower burst. They had nerve to charge me for the idiots that work there and don't know what they are doing. SECOND!!!!!!!!! Don't buy a Coleman camper....long story short.....Its in Pigeon Forge with $12000 worth of water damage due to a leaking roof. Bought a brand new travel trailer 2016 and i got it to the site and got it all-leveled out and the front and rear electric stabilizer buttons quit working then I got the city water hooked up and i was trying to enjoy my camping evening, i walked inside the camper and I had a big river of water flowing from bathroom in the back to the front to the master come to find out the main line in under the sink was cracked. Wow!!! They say everything has been atleast 3 times before it leaves there facility. I called all day the next day starting at 8am nobody called back, so i called back every couple hrs final about 3pm i got ahold of a manager, oh and i was also told the camper came with a spear tire and come to fund out after the signing I found out it doesn't. So don't believe any sale reps they will tell you any lie to get ur $$$$. So basically i got F$$ked read more

Wow is all I can say. I drove from Kansas City to pick up a camper I bought from them. This was a expected arrival and still waited all day waiting for them to get everything ready. This camper was supposed to be ready! Even though I bought the extended warranty the radio was not fixed. I was told to use my warranty later to get it fixed. Also sent me home with no tool to raise and lower the jacks! When I sold the camper last week I attempted to contact them about cancelling my extended warranty for the camper and tire warranty. I called the dealership and was told I had to talk to the finance guy. This call transfer always went to voice box. Finally, he returned my call and told me he would send to my email the forms that needed to be signed. At this time I was told he was not sure if the tire warranty give refunds for unused years. After a week I never received the email as promised. I did call the corporate office and the paper work was in my e-mail the next day. So if you have trouble with this dealer call the corporate office! I will never ever do business with Ashville NC. Camper World again!!! Just my experience and opnion! read more

Giving camping world of Asheville one star is being extremely generous. Their service after the sale is the worst that I have ever experienced. We bought our camper in October and they have had it in the service department more often than we been able to use it. They assign you a service advisor to keep you informed on what's going on with your camper. They are a joke. They won't return and really have no idea what is going on. I don't recommend even buying a camper through camping world of Asheville and we will not be returning for any service or sales in the future. read more

We purchased a new 5th wheel camper in February 2018 from Camping World of Asheville. This was not a good experience at all! First we looked online and found the floor plan we were looking for in Asheville. We called on Monday and told them we could be there on Saturday morning by 11:00. We PAID a deposit for them to hold the camper till then. On Wednesday I received a call that the camper had been sold. Supposedly someone put a deposit on the same camper just minutes before I did on Monday. They did bring a unit in from Tennessee for us to look at. We called on the way up Interstate 40 and confirmed our arrival. Once we arrived, we waited for an hour for them to pull the camper up to the office. We looked at it and told them we wanted it. After waiting an additional 41/2 hours the financial process started to take place. They tried to charge us 4,000.00 more for the unit. They were trying to charge us what the Tennessee lot had the camper advertised for. They did not want to honor the price they had listed on their own website!! Finally after a total of 7 hours, we were ready for the pre trip, only that didn't happen either!! It was quitting time and not a single person come to check anything with us!! Papers were not filled out correctly, figures were wrong along with several other issues! The finance manager was in a hurry to leave because he was going to drive a new motor home to Florida for a delivery. He was getting a Disney Vacation from this delivery. After several issues with Camping World a month later we were still waiting for our paperwork,we called and placed a complaint. The manager promised us gift cards along with merchandise to keep our business. 45 days later, my wife reached out to the lender. We still had not received any documentation on when our payment was due. After digging in to it, our papers never were filed!! They were still laying in the finance managers office!! They never finished the process!!! Not one person has reached out to us trying to right their wrong!! We love our camper. We had looked for an upgrade for 1 year until we found the perfect one for our needs. We will NEVER purchase a single thing from Camping World of Asheville ever again. Such a poor ran office!! People act as if it's a hassle for you to be there. We traveled almost 3 hours one way to be treated like this!! The manager of this establishment needs to learn how to do business and take pride in what he tells people. We are still waiting for him to call us. I think it's safe to say this will never happen!! Bought a new RV Aug 26 2016, since then it has been in their service(?) department for warranty, and for repairs to paint that they scratched, for 4 1/2 months. It took three trips to their shop to get the A/C to stop leaking through the seal to the roof, and then only with me getting involved with Keystone and Camping World. Never will I buy another RV from Camping World and I have been a GOOD SAM member for a long time. The run around started a day of delivery. Multiple calls to Camping World corp. did not seam to help either. REALLY DISAPPOINTED!!!!!!! read more

Bought a "gift " at camping world Asheville for my husband, and of course my husband bought a similar item before I could give him the gift! So, we went to the store only days after I had purchased the item, with the original receipt. I was given a gift Card!!!!! What! why couldn't they credit back my credit card. Every thing is over priced there any how...sale or no sale. So we were forced to buy other items at their store, which we could had purchased cheaper somewhere else. This is very bad customer service. What store does that any more when you have the original receipt and its been less than a week after purchase? Because of the convenience, we have made purchases there, but with this attitude we will make a big effort to shop at a more customer friendly camper store (like Miles Rv). read more

I bought a new Dutchmen camper from camping world Paid 39,000. for it Got GREAT service from the sales department but then when you need it serviced its a disgrace My camper has set their for 5 days and not even been looked at. When I get upset with them they act like I should just set and wait on them .I could understand if they had looked at it but it is still not even been looked at When you call they say it might be 2 to 3 weeks Not what they said when I left it there. Was told it would be ready by the weekend No one will leave their camper seating and waiting to be serviced for 3 weeks Had a trip planned will cost me money to cancel at this late a date Then Audrey had the nerve to tell me not to curse at her because I told her its not my fault they can not get their shit together. I have had a horrible experience with Camping World in Asheville. The salesman Matt and the managers took care of our needs right up until we signed the paperwork and were ready to leave. While in the finance department office signing papers the guy was nice and then when I said I did not want the extended warranty he treated me like crap and did not talk much after that. They said that was pretty typical of him once you don't buy all his extras. The service department had no clue what they were doing and also tried selling us parts and service we did not need. We waited for over an hour after we did our walk around and we're ready to leave but no one knew what to do next. Finally after asking them to show us the brake control they said there were no instructions that came with it but then my husband found the instructions in the box they threw away. There has been one thing after another...we had them fix a door in trailer and on the first night it came back off track and screws were stripped. Then on the first night we camped, we put on the water pressure control on the hose and hooked it up slowly and water poured out inside the trailer. We had to scramble to find a screw driver to open the main box and found the main water line in the trailer had not been screwed on and poured out the water inside all over the electrical box. I am writing to caution others. I have reached out to my salesman to get the door fixed again and explain all the troubles I have had but have not received a reply. read more

They were wonderful when we were dealing with them in purchasing our camper. Very friendly and more than willing to answer questions. They told us when we picked it up they had gone over it completely and would take care of any problems if we initially found anything wrong. We did shortly after we bought it and called the service department, talked to a guy who told us what to do. It didn't fix the problem, so we called back and asked for him and were told they didn't have anyone who worked there by that name. Called the salesperson who verified he was there and she would have him call us back. After a couple of calls back and forth, the problem was still not fixed so we left word for the manager but never heard from him which gave us the definite impression they were not willing to help remedy the problem. In essence, no help at all from the service department and they don't stand behind their promises, so beware. read more
