I'm a full time RVer x 2 years. I went to the Hope Mills store after going through miserable experiences with the Garner and Greenville stores. The store was not busy, yet customer service was nearly nonexistent. Retail staff avoided engagement and could not help with a simple request to plug in and test a clearance couch. When I asked multiple times, I was brushed off and eventually told "they're just like that." At checkout, concerns were argued instead of addressed. Sales staff showed no interest when I asked about RVs. I left carrying a large boxed item and my dog, without assistance. Very poor in-store experience. They lost a lot of money from me. Besides the couch, I was looking to buy a generator. Also, just like my retail experiences in Garner, they constantly push and overtalk a Good Sam membership. read more

I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. They totally misrepresented themselves. Told us we were looking at a used camper, and the price was negotiable since it was on the lot for awhile. There were some minor things I noticed that were damaged, and I asked about a warranty. I was told there was no warranty on preowned campers. When it came time to seal the deal it was a whole different story. Couldn't do anything about the price because now it was not preowned, but a leftover. This place has no integrety, do not deal here. My sister and her husband bought a camping trailer last year in July, I believe. I considered buying Class C motor home from them, but that desire has been completely dashed. My sister hasn't been able to use their pull trailer because at first it was for awaiting parts, then lack of space in a service bay .... and mixed in with all that, there was the excuse they needed warranty approval from the manufacturer. My husband and I went to Camping World of Fayetteville in Hope Mills with the sole purpose of buying a new 24ft Freedom Elite. We had found it on line and loved it when we saw it. But we decided to just look around and see what else was on the lot (not many Class C). Our amazing salesman, Devin mentioned a Minnie Winnie that had just been traded in that was being sold for a MAJOR bargain. We headed to look at it and immediately said "no, that's way too big"...we had discussed lengths for months and decided on the 24ft...this one was 32 ft. But, what the heck, might as well look at it. BIG mistake because we fell in love with it. It's a 2017 Minnie Winnie 31G and LOTS of extras for about $10,000 LESS than the 2022 Freedom Elite we were looking at and after much discussion (and listening to my sister help us decide), we decided to go for it. We brought it home yesterday and are planning our first outing already. Lots to learn because we are first time campers. Devin, Patrick in finance, Pete for our "class on what everything is" and Jacob in parts were outstanding. WOW...they made it so easy and we never felt any pressure to do anything. Today I went to Camping World to pickup my camper which was in service. Upon arriving home to disconnect I discovered my camper had been damaged at the dealership and they attempted to cover it up. My awning was zip tied to my trailer because the self tapping screws that mount it were ripped out, mounting brackets broken, rail bent facing rear with bend in rail towards front showing it was struck from the front. They never reported it, never called me to apologize or say how they would fix it at no cost, absolutely nothing. They hoped I wouldn't notice. Well I noticed a zip tie sticking out where a zip tie doesn't belong and inspected further to uncover the damage. I immediately called the authorities and filed a police report to get it on record, followed through with a report with the BBB, and will seek legal consultation in the morning. read more

I've purchased 3 campers from this location because it's the only one in my area. I bought a new camper 1 year ago & it has spent a total of 4 months cumulatively, sitting on their lot for different repairs. The service department is horrible & the GM won't do anything about it. Ive only camped in this unit for a total of 5 weeks. The latest incident, I called to check on the status of the camper after 3 weeks & was told by service they were waiting on the manufacturer authorization & the new microwave. I called keystone corporate & was told the microwave had been sent & authorization was already done almost 2 weeks ago. So I was literally lied to by a service manager. I confronted the GM upset about the situation & he threatened to call the Sheriff on me & have me removed from the propert. I am a retired military, fully disabled veteran & this is the treatment you get from this Camping World. I have filed complaints through camping world corporate & through Keystone ( the manufacture) Bottom Line, the service department has major issues & an inept General Manager. The sales representative sold us an RV that knowingly needed repairs but was not disclosed. The finance department forced us to buy a warranty that the service department will use but told us they schedule appointments out months in advance so the warranty expires before the repairs are completed leaving the customer with a huge expense. Camping World installed a washer wrong leaving a water leak they conveniently don't have time to fix unless we want to pay more money out of pocket. We bought $600 worth of Dish Network to find out the 5 coax cables are installed wrong but guess what they won't fix that even though it's covered under warranty. Our family lives in the RV full time on a military base with a 3 month old baby. The stress is insane that Camping World has placed on our family. I would NEVER buy from this company. We have 12 work orders within three days of owning the RV. read more

We purchased a Thor Motorcoach from them with so many problems I will not begin to bore you with the details. Almost a year in and we still have a coach with unrepaired warranty issues. Bought a brand new 2022camper and they have had it more times than me and the issues are still not fixed if I could give a lower rating I would the last time we brought it to get so called fixed was supposed to be the win win but turns out it's worse off than it was and found more damage to our camper that wasn't damaged before it was brought in had them install a tv mount in the bedroom and they used the wrong screws that went through the side of my camper now we have to have body work done as well and due to warranty we have to keep bringing it back. so over this.was the worst experience ever!!! Just want to get out of this situation! If I could give Camping World in Hope Mills NC a zero I would! Never ever take your RV for service there! We took ours in to get an estimate for repairs. we got an estimate 3 weeks later for around $7000. They said it needed all new rims and tires but never took tires off! We had a small leak in the black water tank and a light bulb out in the back. That's it! We decided to take it elsewhere and they charged us $476 just for the estimate! They claimed they did some kind of flush which was not authorized! They charge $180.00 an hour for labor! Do not go there! Just look at all the unhappy customers on yelp! More one stars than any other ratings ! I'm so pissed I'm gonna tell all my RV friends never ever go there! I want them out of business sooner than later! I am writing to you to advocate for my father Richard Trumbull who died on 8-24-21. My father had a life long dream to travel the world however he was not healthy and found some peace by enjoying his camper in the front yard. My father purchased an RV from The Camping World located in Fayetteville, North Carolina in March of 2021. My disabled father paid slightly under $ 25,000.00 for the RV he purchased at Camping world. The manager Chuck Shaver told me they could only give us $ 3,000.00 for a camper my father purchased less than one year ago. Mr. Shaver stated that there were "several problems" wrong with the camper and that my father knew that the camper had "all those problems" when he purchased the camper. I realize that legally since my father "agreed" to take the camper "as is" however this does not give Camping World the right to take advantage of their patrons and sell them products that are essentially "junk" at the time of purchase. I am disappointed in my experiences with Camper World for treating a patron this way. read more

My boyfriend and I decided to take my mom here for Mother's Day because she is looking into travel trailers. We bought our camper from Fayetteville location and ours has problems of its own. But I am not gonna talk about our issues with our camper, I'm gonna talk about the sales lady that came up to us. We were looking at the 44 View Forest River, and this lady comes out. We sign in with her, and we tell her my mom is wanting to look at campers, and she is trying to bring us inside because they have "Over 200 campers, come inside so I can look" (Note: I have been to 4-5 different camping worlds and the Fayetteville one is the only one with their campers locked), she then asks us "So you don't want to walk with a salesperson?" And we say "No", and she says "Well they are locked" and just walks away, she was extremely disrespectful and rude. We have had other camping worlds have no problem with us not wanting a salesman on top of us, we also told her exactly what we were wanting to see so we didn't understand as to why she wanted us inside to "look" at what they had, we could see them. read more

Worst customer service. Was there yesterday. Months ago we had a WiFi box installed. It was installed incorrectly and our roof on the Rv started leaking. We were told the man that installed it was no longer there. But the Manager said he would reinstall a new one and they didn't have any at that store but he would bring one from another store and have it there the next day. We called the next day and no they didn't have it yet. A few days later we went there and nope none available Fast forward to yesterday. After 3 months of still not available we went to the store. The manager said no it was our fault the roof leaked and ruined the unit not their fault. Hello the roof wasn't leaking BEFORE this was installed. And we showed them pictures our RV service took and it showed it was installed incorrectly Manager was so rude. But she finally replaced our unit. We took the unit and left and will have a professional install it Take your money somewhere else. So many other places to go besides this place. We will never do business with them again. read more

And the saga continues. We purchased our unit in July 2020. Two months later they still had not submitted the title paperwork. When we called them on it, they finally submitted. Another month later our local DMV called and said that our title paperwork was rejected because Camping World had not signed or witnessed any of it. This dealer sold our RV our from under us after we placed a deposit! After finding the perfect floor plan, we called to see if the RV was still available. The sales person told us he wanted to see it and touch it before confirming, so asked for our number to call us back. He called back and confirmed it was there. We made an appointment to pick it and put down a $500 deposit via credit card and were told that he put a sold sign on it while we were on the phone. We got a text the next morning reminding us of our appointment. About 48 hours after we made the deposit, we were called to be told that the RV was no longer on the lot and was supposed already sold when we called about. We were told that the manager would be calling us. When we hadn't heard back a few hours later, we tried returning the call and left a message on his phone asking for the manager to call and nothing! The main phone line was the location was turned off for the night before their posted closing time. read more

I am doing a follow up to my last review, since you can't add to the one I already did I will add it here. I was contacted by their customer service. They did an investigation into amount they paid us for our RV. I can tell you that they did not even come close to the price they told me in emails and texts from the headquarters. I spoke to the people in headquarters, and they said they would get back to me on why we were given so much less then they said they would give. We sold a Travel Trailer to the Camping World of Fayetteville. I worked over the Phone with this Guy from I guess their headquarters Named Glenn he started to care about the deal and did what he could to make it work. He even got the asking price i was going to settle on. Now comes the problems. I told him that it was a 2020 but when I looked at the registration, i saw it was a 2021 so a year newer. I told him the mistake and he said he would get me a new quote. When he came back with the new quote it was for about 3000 less. I asked him why it is less for a newer model all he said is that that is what they came back with. I went with the deal anyway, but when we went to the store to get the appraisal the guy, we dealt with there had no answers either all he could say is that is what Glenn sent him did not even try to help with trying to get a new quote. So a week later after making several phones calls to find out what they would offer. I get a call back from Chuck the guy from the store I dealt with, and he said it would cost them 890. 00 dollars to put a coating on the roof. I told him that the roof was fine since it was not even a year old yet. he did not move on the price. Well, we took the deal and just yesterday April 3, 2022, I see they posted the Rv on their site for 20,000 more then they offered us. It is above what we paid brand new. I just wanted everyone to know not to use any camping world they are a rip off and don't care about their costumers I guy they fell they can take advantage of someone's miss fortune. Had my camper delivered there for repairs for warranty work. About four months later after I missed out on three camping reservations they said it was ready for pick up. Had the gentleman go pick it up. He had to wait. Delivered back for storage and set it up for us a week later. We got to the camper only to find that absolutely nothing was repaired. Called keystone to find if they even ordered replacement parts for repairs. Nope didn't happen. Don't take a damn thing there for repairs. They denied everything said it was all fixed. read more

We had an amazing experience here. We visited the store during the week and John showed us 3 models that matched what we were looking for. We returned that Saturday and started the buying process. Our finance officer was extremely knowledgeable and thorough. Our next step was the walk through. When I tell you Renee knows her shi* she knows her shi*. Whatever she is making--double that! She knew every button and option in that rig. Dealing with these people on behalf of my senior citizen parents. It's been a nightmare both with this location AND with corporate. Day 95 of them having my parents camper for "repairs", yet no work apparently has been done, though the warranty repairs were approved back in OCTOBER and we've been told multiple times "the parts have been delivered" and even after that, "the parts are on their way,".... No one can give a status update or tell us if the camper is even still there. I'm starting to suspect they either sold it accidentally, it was stolen from the lot or somehow destroyed. Corporate seemed to be interested in helping at first but a month later after contacting them and we are still no closer to hearing what's going on.They blocked me on Twitter for publicly demanding answers. The camper is not in rears for payment as my parents are still paying $360 per month on it. I believe corporate is aware there is something shady going on and is trying to stall so the location can cover its tail. DO NOT BUY FROM THESE CROOKS!!! UPDATE... I purchased a used camper from Camping World in Fayetteville, NC in May 2022. My salesperson, BK, was great. He showed us campers that was in our budget and the layout we wanted. He showed us the camper we purchased. We knew as soon as we saw it, that it was what we wanted. Checked off all our boxes, and then some. That's where the good story ends. As we were finalizing the papers, Jeremy ensured us that everything was in good working order. He told us that they are required to do an extensive inspection of the campers before they take them as trades. He also told us to set up an appointment with service for our 60 day warranty checkup. We did that. Keep reading..... The individual that does all the finalizing of the sale kept pushing for us to get the Ultimate Extended Protection Plan. It was an added $7,000. He made it sound so good. We opted for it. Keep Reading..... A week before the 60 day checkup, I noticed from my second story window, that a huge puddle was forming on the front of my camper. I took a pic of it and added it to my list of things to check. Here is my list: Solar Panels not charging (came with 2 solar panels on the roof) A red and black cable in my cabinet not connected to anything Converter not making a noise when camper is plugged in...normal? Nothing in camper works off battery power, except for the power tongue jack. Rear view camera not getting power (came installed on camper) Divot in roof by front cap We dropped the camper off in Aug for the checkup. After a week, we get a text message from the service person Taylor. She stated the following: · Solar Panels not charging: Panels are working, producing 13V charge · Red and Black cables are for a 12v TV or CB Radio. · Nothing in camper works off battery power, except for the power tongue jack: 30A fuse was blown, making battery power in-op. · Converter not making a noise when camper is plugged in...normal? Converter appears to be working fine · Rear view camera not getting power (came installed on camper): Camera works fine Nothing about the roof in the text. A couple days later, I receive an email with a quote for $9,500...FOR A NEW ROOF!!!! My wife and I went to Camping World of Fayetteville and spoke with Taylor. She told us that the roof was not covered under the Extended Plan we paid $7,000 for. I told her we just bought the camper and this is our 60 day warranty checkup. She said she would talk to management and let me know. Three weeks later, and no communication over phone and multiple show ups at the store, we got our answer. The manager of Camping World of Fayetteville, Mark, informed me that they will not be covering the cost of the roof. He stated that people come in after owning the camper for 10 years and demand a new roof. Told him we just bought it and he said doesn't matter, not going to happen. So, the wife and I go back to the service counter to have our camper pulled to the front. Taylor then hands me an invoice for $571. I asked what this was for and she said it was for all the other work that was done on my list...the list Jeremy told me to make for my 60 warranty checkup. So, in the long run, I took my camper, did NOT pay the service bill, and will be contacting a lawyer about this. I was either sold a camper with a rotted roof, which they lied to me about conducting a full inspection on it, the service department is lying to me about the roof, just to get money from me, or they knew about the roof and lied on the inspection. We had a time slot to drop off our Campervan on Wednesday at 2 pm. We were there on time and we asked for them to wire up our breaker box to our inverter. We already knew this may not be done because people wouldn't trust our wiring. However, they said they had a guy who would take a look at it in the MORNING (after we had a time slot for service)... we wait all day Thursday and finally decide to give them a call at 2 pm asking for an update. We were told that the technician was working on it. We then called back at 4 pm because we knew this job wouldn't take long. They get back to us saying that they couldn't do the job and gave us 11 excuses. And still told us that we had to be there before 4:30 pm because their service department closes for drop off and pick up. So to recap... we called them for an update at 4 pm for them to tell us that they couldn't do it and give us 30 minutes to pick up our van that they took 2 hours to decide they couldn't work on. And on top of this, they dismantled our electrical system and didn't put our stuff back together... HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND FOR SERVICE!!! read more

Brought my RV in on July 9. Met with the service technician to go over the things I wanted them to work on. He said it should take only a couple days to take care of these issues. He said he would call me on the 12th with a status. Never heard back from him. I have called repeatedly to the service department and all I get is they are helping other customers at this time but they will return your call. For three straight days I never got a callback. Spoke to Jeremy the manager to find out what is going on and he too never return my call. It's now been over a week since they've had my motorhome and I still to this day do not have a status. Will never use this location again!! I live 90 miles away so it's not easy to go by and just check on it. Never had worst customer service!!! read more

This place is crap. I was going to buy a Camper but my credit was frozen. I had to unfreeze it in writing and wait for the credit companies to mail me a letter letting me know if was unfrozen. I received a call from one of the credit companies stating that Camping World checks my credit daily at least 3 times a day. This is crazy. A total lack of honesty, integrity, and professionalism. I called the corporate office and was told I cannot speak with anyone. The girl was rude and stated she had to do a report and the team will get back to me in a few days. I think Josh Stein needs to hear about Camping World. And Camping World "FORGET ABOUT SELLING ME A CAMPER." I was upsold on an RV by Anthony. He told us he could make sure a grill was included in the outdoor kitchen.....after the sale was finalized and every was signed, then Anthony basically said he did not recall saying that. When I spoke to another manager, he said Anthony would not have promised that because he knows it can not be done. He also said "Anthony already told me about this situation". I was basically promised one thing and then they went back on their word. I really feel like going back and returning everything, even the RV because I can not stand a liar and the fact is they all just stood there making us out to be the liars about everything.
