I have never ever been treated with such disdain, rudeness, treated with such an unprofessional attitude disrespect and talked down to by so many of their employees in their employment in service dept. , accessories and in the purchasing of and financing of an rv in any rv store , dealership or camping world in any sense of the word. They are by far the worst place you will ever deal with in your rv experience. This place is crap. I was going to buy a Camper but my credit was frozen. I had to unfreeze it in writing and wait for the credit companies to mail me a letter letting me know if was unfrozen. I received a call from one of the credit companies stating that Camping World checks my credit daily at least 3 times a day. This is crazy. A total lack of honesty, integrity, and professionalism. I called the corporate office and was told I cannot speak with anyone. The girl was rude and stated she had to do a report and the team will get back to me in a few days. I was upsold on an RV by Anthony. He told us he could make sure a grill was included in the outdoor kitchen.....after the sale was finalized and every was signed, then Anthony basically said he did not recall saying that. When I spoke to another manager, he said Anthony would not have promised that because he knows it can not be done. He also said "Anthony already told me about this situation". I was basically promised one thing and then they went back on their word. I really feel like going back and returning everything, even the RV because I can not stand a liar and the fact is they all just stood there making us out to be the liars about everything. VERY disappointed with virtually our entire experience with them. We purchased a new camper in March of last year (Heartland Prowler Special Camping World Edition). They were great and extremely polite and attentive during the sales process (big surprise) but when our brand new camper started having all sorts of little issues (which we thought we'd be avoiding by buying new), suddenly the customer service dropped off the radar. We brought the camper in to get everything taken care of in the middle of the summer and they wound up having it for nearly a month! Now I understand that the summer is their busiest time of year, but wouldn't you increase your staff to accommodate the demand? So fast forward to about a month ago when we took the camper out for our first trip of the season. In one weekend, we discovered that the kitchen sink faucet had completely cracked and couldn't be used. More than half the sliding shades had lost tension and no longer stayed up. One of the side windows totally shattered from just closing it and then our bathroom shower head was leaking and spraying all over the place. We called Camping World as soon as we returned and got the same spiel as last year...that they wouldn't even be able to look at it for about a month. Being totally frustrated with our experience in just one year, we hauled the POS camper down to SC to a small family-owned dealership and traded it in for another unit. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE!. I called to ask about a specific camper I wanted to look at. I was told they had three in stock and to "Come on down". I reiterated the make and model and size to be absolutely sure they had it before I drove the 80 miles to look at it. She even called me back twice within ten minutes to assure me they had it and that she'd "Assign me to a sales person". Then the Salesperson called and left me a message with her name and to ask for her when I got there. When I got there I was passed off to a different sales person who said "It's right out here". We walked out to the lot and she proceeded to show me a camper that wasn't even close to what I was looking for. Not the same make, not the same model, not even the same class of unit I was looking for. I said "I was told you had three in stock". She replied "We don't stock those, but we can order you one".....ARE YOU KIDDING ME???? I just drove 80 miles to your location instead of another dealer because you "Had it in stock". I spoke to the manager before I left and he said "Well, we are a starcraft dealer, but we don't stock that unit"....WOW....I told him I would never do business with them and left. He basically shrugged his shoulders and said "OK".... In my opinion, this was a classic bait and switch tactic. Either that or the girl on the phone was so incompetent that she doesn't even know their product well enough to speak to customers. In April we purchased our first travel trailer from a Camping World in Burlington, WA. The experience was much like purchasing a car from a used car lot and we left paying $22,000 for a $17,000 2018 Coleman 285 because of several additional costs not covered by the sale price of the unit. After picking it up, on the first trip home, we arrived at our residence to find that several of the marker light covers had come off will driving. Understanding that we purchased an entry level travel trailer knowing through research that we would run into problems like this, we fixed minor problems that came up like screws backing out and nuts coming loose. While traveling east through Memphis, TN, on the way to our next duty station Fort Bragg, NC, another motor vehicle struck the trailer on it's left side damaging the front support, leg, siding, slide out, window and the impact caused several pieces of the interior slide to come loose. We were able to continue pulling it but noticed an increase in sway and shudder at highway speeds. Arriving in NC we were hopeful that the Camping World in Fayetteville would be capable or repairing our travel trailer. We dropped it off on May 5th and the technician Jonathan went to work quickly taking pictures and putting together a parts list. After 3 weeks, a quote was put together and sent to our insurances companies. Liability was placed on the other driver and insurances companies agreed to pay $9000 to repair our travel trailer. An amount that is likely more then the cost of the trailer to be produced and purchased by Camping World at wholesale. The technician received this approval and over the next month, June, reassured us they were going to wait on all parts to come in before beginning repairs. We did not hear from Camping World in July at all, because they would not respond to calls or emails, and when we stopped ny the first week of August the same technician informed us the service department was still waiting on parts. Without response to calls and emails for another month we stopped by again the first week of September to find out the technician working on our travel trailer had left and no one knew the status of it's approval to get fixed or if anything had been ordered to repair it. Insurance companies then have had to send all approval information to a new technician in the service department. It has two weeks and again we have not heard anything from Camping World Fayetteville, NC. We want to know whether on not this Camping World is capable of repairing our travel trailer. We believe Camping World will know what to do concerning the months we've been without our travel trailer and what the best outcome is for a customer that truly wants to believe that this situation can be remedied and is not the usual outcome when dealing with its repair and service departments. Wife and I would be first time buyers of an RV. Went there on a hot day. Lady came out with a golf cart, told her we were interested in a small RV, sleep 2-3 people. She showed us 3 campers. They were nice. Said she had more but did not show us them, did not seem very interested in selling one. I have been looking for another dealer. Camping World of Fayetteville is the worst I've ever seen they cannot even answer a phone call they cannot get you to maintenance the girl is so lazy that she cannot walk 20 feet to the maintenance area and tell them they have a phone call and the phone rings but no one ever picks it up They stole the heater parts off of my RV and now my heater doesn't work I hate going there for service it is the biggest pain in the butt ever I would never recommend anyone buy an RV from this location read more

Negligent Service. We purchased our first travel trailer in 2016 from this store after making it perfectly clear that we had absolutely no experience towing anything. While the trailer has been great, we were allowed to drive away with a totally wrong hitch setup and without knowing how to lock:unlock the hitch ball. In addition, out tow vehicle was considerably taller than the trailer. Nonetheless, we were sent away with a hitch shank that was nearly 8 inches too high for the trailer coupler. We subsequently purchased and installed the correct hitch shank after towing incorrectly for more than a year and experiencing a tire blowout on our single axle trailer. Perhaps the most egregious was the installation of a brake controller in our tow vehicle with an incorrect wiring harness. For nearly 2 years, our trailer brakes never engaged meaning our tow vehicle had excessive brake wear since it was doing all of the braking. I just purchased the correct wiring harness to replace the incorrect one. All is well now, but we are appalled at the extremely unsafe hitch setup we were sent away with as complete newbies. Frightening! Hopefully the service department has improved by now, but please be careful and don't be as naive as we were in assuming that we drove away with a safe setup. read more

I rate them at 4 mainly because person in parts Dept dropped the ball on getting parts ordered after manufacturer had signed off on parts 3 days after it was submitted. This was 3 weeks later that after I called manufacturer and found out what was going on. Then I called camping world back. Mr. Hines at camping world has been very good to work with. Although I still have to deal with an issue that was messed up when we bought our camper back in May that I'm sure will get resolved. Well after a few months or do going by... our camper is at camping world. A roof truss is broke. There has been multiple issues. It's heartbreaking , and discouraging. We wanted to camp .. especially be able to camp with our special needs daughter. She loves the outdoors just like her mom. The problem I am finding isn't camping world . As I have been in contact with Forest River .. manufacturer of our camper. It seems either can't get them. Or when you do you may have one person maybe 2 that does their job. And the rest just don't. So for the case of camping world .. this far the people there have been nice ... to us. We are hoping for some resolve . Glad I didn't do the 6 mos of camp plAnning we would have lost a lot of money. In saying this... camping world is a good place it seems ... only because those employees there make it bareable as a customer has to go through the waiting and aggravation process. Horrible customer service. Incompetent service and parts staff. I personally witnessed a service member tell me one thing that contradicted what the parts person said when they sat 1 foot away from each other and could hear each other speaking. I've called over 20 times looking for feedback and follow up on my repair job. Over a month later (when I was told this would only take a week to repair) I finally received a phone call saying they ordered the completely wrong parts. Now they have to reorder and this will take another 2 weeks. The most frustrating part is both that they made the mistake but the lack of information flow and call backs when they said they would call me back. I could have had my work done elsewhere but this seems like a stall tactic to ensure they get my money as opposed to a competitor. I was sold a previously owned camper, and was told it was brand new. We took the camper out 1 time and it had a huge leak in the front and the master bed got soaked. Took it back and was told we had to pay for repairs on a camper we had less than a week. 3 weeks later after we had to call for updates because no one would contact us, we were told the camper had issues before we took it off the lot. To begin with, I really wanted to purchase a used 5th wheel. Went here first as it is close to home. Was steered away from used and toward new. Not anything like what I was asking for. So after months of looking around and some negotiation, got a good price from the CW in Myrtle Beach. I saw a small amount of hydraulic fluid on my front jack a couple of months later. Took it to Hope Mills CW to have it checked and fixed. I have a Good Sam extended warranty and this is a 2016, so I needed to use that. Even with the extended warranty, it was going to cost me at least $200 according to the bill vs. the warranty coverage. My first impression of the dept was a service consultant named Corrine. Very nice lady, obviously a lot of things going on, but very nice and patient with me. A month later, I've heard nothing so I call. Tech has not returned paperwork so nobody can say exactly what's happening. But someone will give me a call. Two weeks later and no call, I call back. Part arrived yesterday...putting it on tomorrow. A week goes by, I've heard nothing so I pay a visit. Get another consultant named AJ, who is also very nice and as helpful as she can be. Promises it will be ready next day as the tech working on mine is off that day. As I am venting my frustration to AJ because I really need to have had it back by this time, a man behind her rolls his eyes and turns his back to me and starts talking to someone else. I work with the public every day and that type of body language not only tells the customer you really couldn't care any less but also gets worse reviews no matter how everyone else treats them. AJ really comes through for me though. Wish I had had her from the start. Listening to me vent and seemed to be a go-getter. Wrong part came. She helped find me another the same day. Also helped get my bill down as low as possible. Very, Very impressed by her. She is the only reason for the two stars. Otherwise one star would have been too much. My suggestions are this: 1. Two months is way too long to have a 2 hour job in the shop in February. 2. Never, EVER roll your eyes at a customer! Especially in front of them. 3. Someone in service needs to be able to answer the phone. Multiple calls went unanswered and voice mails were never returned. 4. The ladies you have as service consultants, are the only reason I would ever go back. Points 1, 2 and 3 are reasons I won't be back. read more

Would you please re train your front of the store staff consisting of check out clerks, sales and greeters to treat customers with a little class and professionalism for goodness sake. It is evident a clear lack of professionalism is starting to show at Hope Mills Camping World. Do not miss understand, there is a huge different between being friendly / professional and down right loud and NONE professional. The staff that we keep coming in contact is grossly unprofessional. As opposed to the staff of a year ago or so. You may want to remind your staff that customers are spending 50K some over 200K on 1 single item. Your not renting bowling shoes for 2 games on lane 4. We no longer feel welcome at your store because it is so awkward and lack of dare I say again unprofessionalism? Also: A simple follow up from all sales persons TO customers after buying a Rig, TT or 5th wheel would be reasonable and should be your standard. But hey, I only have 30years customer service and sales experience so who am I, right? Last thing...turn down the music. We were looking around ready to pick up several items to change out our Shower with new shower head plus additional items. We couldn't hear ourselves think let alone talk about the approx. 80.00 shower head we had no problems buying. So we just walked out. I guess we could have screamed at each other, right? Horrible Service- Dropped off my trailer for its 60 day walk thru. Called and was told I could drop it off in Sunday so it could be there for it's Monday appt at 3pm so we did not miss it since both my husband and I were pulled into work. We were told we could pick it up Monday afternoon and would get a call once it was looked at. Come Wednesday and when I stopped by the shop they said their Service Dept was 2 weeks behind and my vehicle was not looked at. Of course that is not ok since We had camping plans for that weekend. They told me that even though my trailer was there for it's appt, with a detailed list by us of the issues, since we were not they just skipped us over. Working in customer service myself I know that this is the absolute WORST excuse you can give. The appt was for my trailer and it WAS there. I've heard of horrible stories about their customer service and they were proven right. I DO NOT recommend purchasing through them at all. I love my camper but jeez... they are shady. read more

Service department lacking! I made an appt. for April 19 to service my camper with the information for warranty provided. After calling them back to find out the status (they didn't notify me) I was informed that the part had to be ordered from Forest River and should take a week. Still no return call and finally I was able to pick up camper on May 4. I was told everything was working fine, no leaks with the commode. Just took a long trip to Long Island, NY and the first time we hooked the water up, it leaked out from the back of the toilet. Unable to fix it or wanting to pay an expensive emergency call on the trip we spent the next week without the use of water with our toilet. I have called three times since our return, left two messages and hung up the other time. NO return phone calls yet after I explained that we needed to get this right. They are all over the phones if you want to buy a camper though. Plot twist: I called Howard RV Center in Wilmington, spoke to a courteous, customer driven service tech and scheduled the next appointment with a reputable dealer. Camping World of Hope Mills has had our camper for nearly three months for a repair that service writer #1 told us would take three to four weeks that was March the 8th. Service writer # 2 said that service writer # 1 had quite, but had not ordered the parts for the repairs, but she would handle it that was March the 25th. Now on to service writer # 3 April 9th she said that service writer # 2 had been fired and the parts for our 2012 Forest River Flagstaff camper were no longer made and had to be made, so we contacted Forest River and they said that all parts are still made. During all this time we are making payments on a camper we could not use. We are now going into the month of June and they have not repaired the camper yet. Service writer #3 told my wife yesterday that if we wanted to pick the camper up unfixed that they would not charge us for it. What are we suppose to do with a camper that the slide will not work. Camping World is the biggest rip of there is in RV Deals. We sold a Travel Trailer to the Camping World of Fayetteville. I worked over the Phone with this Guy from I guess there head quarters Named Glenn he started to to care about the deal and did what he could to make it work. He even got the asking price i was going to settle on. Now comes the problems. I told him that it was a 2020 but when i looked at the registration, i saw it was a 2021 so a year newer. I told him the mistake and he said he would get me a new quote. When he came back with the new quote it was for about 3000 less. I asked him why is it less for a newer model all he said is that that is what they came back with. I went with the deal anyway, but when we went to the store to get the appraisal the guy we dealt with there had no answers either all he could say is that is what Glenn sent him did not even try to help out with trying to get a new quote. So a week later after making several phones calls to find out what they would offer. I get a call back from Chuck the guy from the store I dealt with and he said it would cost them 890. 00 dollars to put a coating on the roof. I told him that the roof was fine since it was not even a year old yet. he did not move on the price. Well we took the deal and just yesterday April 3 2022 I see they posted the Rv on there site for 20,000 more then they offered us. It is above what we paid brand new. I just wanted everyone to know not to use any camping world they are a rip off and dont care about there costumers I guy they fell they can take advantage of someone's miss fortune. The worst Camping World ever!! We purchased a DISH system and when questioned about the box and items being opened we were told that's not uncommon for people to do this before a purchase. We got home to set up the system and the system had already been activated by someone else making the entire system useless to us. The staff was unprofessional, sitting around or rolling around in golf carts, smoking cigarettes, basically unwilling to help. let me start with 1 star is way too many for this place. I just bought a new toy hauler from them and the whole deal was just a complete mess!! The sales manager tried to tell me that he was going to add $10,000 to the price of my camper to have the delam fixed on the side of the camper when it is warranty work that guy is the biggest joke in the whole place! I was told they would give me one thing for my trade to find out later that the sales guy was only off by $7,000 and not in my favor. Then they come back with a monthly payment that was $150 more a month then the math added up to be. when I went in the finance office and asked how that was possible I was told, oh thats right. I said its simple math and that is not right, I asked to see the numbers he had. Once he done that he was like what is that in there for and what is that.... by the time he was done he had taken $9,000 out the deal that i would have been scammed out of had I not caught it!!! what does that say about the place???? The sales guy told me the hitch weight was way less than it really was so when I bought my truck to pull it (2018 f250) the camper was 750 lbs too heavy for my truck with no one in the cab. I brought this to management's attention and was told jokingly to go buy another truck, I didnt find it funny at all when I just bought a $60,000 truck to pull that camper.. witch by the way i added air bages for another $400 just to get my bumber off the ground and that seams to be working ok even though im way over the trucks payload rating. what a bunch of crap right??? Now the hitch problem: I was told my hitch would be in and installed every day for 2 weeks. I found out through another source that they ordered it on that monday and had to drive and pick it up from some place. I took off work that monday to have it installed and they had not even ordered the dang thing!! I will say that when it got there the service techs jumped right on it for me and I am happy with those guys. I asked about a gift card that they offered me 4 months ago on my other camper i had bought from them and that same lying manager said im not aware of any such card. This ( STEVE ) guy needs a new job!!! Ive never seen a place so mis managed in my life. if you walk around the building you will see trash and boxes just piled up around the along with camper parts and junk they took off other campers. Please someone get these people some kind of manager in there. So its been roughly 3 weeks and i called today to see if they had even created a ticket for the items that were found on my walk through and guess what nope nobody even has my name in the service department. this nightmare just will not end!!!!! The bottom line is wow this place needs some help badly and I will not recommend them to a soul as long as I live. If I could give 0 I would! These people are morons! We brought our RV for a general inspection before we take a trip, mind you nothing was wrong with it except one of the lights was acting funny. 4 days later they came back with the inspection completed and said we could pick it up. My husband and I went to pick it up and it wouldn't start. The stairs wouldn't come down. We told the technician that it was unacceptable to get the RV in worse shape than we dropped it off in. they agreed to take it back and look into the issue. The next day we got the RV back and lo and behold there was a laundry list of so called problems. They said we have a bad alternator which was just replaced 2 months ago. It completely shut down on my husband while he was trying to drive it home. As far as the light acting funny, they couldn't find the issue other than to say the whole sconce needing to be replaced. Come to find out when we got home we change the light bulb and that fixed the issue. I do not believe a word that these people say. They are rude and condescending and outright liars! Very poor customer service after purchasing an RV. Unit was purchased in July 2018 and dropped off for warranty repair in December 2018. Our toy hauler was hit with another unit. They replaced ladder and decals but didnt fully repair the remainder of damage. They dropped it off April 2019 with a dead battery. After looking at the battery compartment only had one battery when it should have 2 batteries. Also missing were our 50ft power cable along with our surge protector. Today they said they will not cover the missing items since they are not sure the unit was dropped with the items in it. I will be making a police report and make a claim with my insurance so they can handle it from there. This place is terrible. The finance department doesn't know what they're doing. Steven messed up loan paperwork and then tried to place blame on others for his mistakes. We are still waiting on our tags to come in since our temp tags are about to expire and no one in the title department can answer a phone or call back. Poor customer service. They were all about me and my family while we were spending 30,000 dollars but after we purchased the customer service went away. I reccomend you go somewhere else. The owner would be very upset if he knew his employees were this bad. Go out of town and find cheaper campers with better customer service. Spend your money else where because I will be. read more

This is not the place to buy a camper! The parts department is horrible, and service department does not work! But they have pleanty of time to grill hot dogs in the afternoon! I've had my class c camper there 4 different times for the same problem! Simple warranty work! They didn't fix the problem the first time, didn't bother to order the part the second time, ordered the wrong part the third time, and the fourth time had ordered the wrong part again! I now have to go back a fifth time! All these trips cost me in fuel, at least 60 gallons of diesel fuel at $3.00 a gallon! Because of their foul ups, I asked the guy in charge to compensate me for my fuel costs! Oh no! Not their problem! I had to take it up with the maker of the coach!!? Do not buy from this Camping World! Again, do not buy here! They rip you off! read more

The customer service is abysmal! I will not be back! If you are anywhere near the Fayetteville area, take the 45 minutes you would be waiting for assistance and go to the Raleigh Camping World where they seemed happy to help me as soon as I walked in. When I saw the bad reviews on Google, I should have heeded the warnings, but it was much closer so I risked it. Poor choice on my part! read more

The star is only deserving because my husband and I had a great experience being shown the variety of campers available for what we were looking for. After making the decision to purchase one of their new models, we applied to use their credit services and were supposed to be contacted within 4 days of the final decision. After 4 weeks and multiple phone calls we have still not received any feedback on why we are approved or not. We have very good credit and they ran multiple credit reports. Our credit score has lost at least 2 points because of this process and they can't even return our calls? Every time we have called they cannot give us answers. read more

I give this place zero stars. My friend bought a RV from them and she was told that the RV was inspected and it was good to go. The first rain we had the RV slide started leaking. She is now being told that that the entire slide has to be replaced. The sales person let her drive off knowing that it was not in good condition. The the stars she did get an extended warranty. I have had a few negative dealings with this camping world in the past, but it seems that since they underwent new management things have turn around for the better. It's still not perfect but much better than it was a year ago. Keep it up read more
