My mom, who is retired and on a fixed income, recently bought an RV from Camping World of Idaho Falls so that she could have a place to stay near my house, as I just had a baby. We had a great experience buying the RV, and we felt that everyone was very kind, straight-forward and patient. In retrospect, though, I have two complaints. The first is their partnership with Good Sam's. Nothing good about it. Aaron, her sales person, convinced my mom to buy the extended warranty plan from Good Sam's, which seemed to make sense, as she was buying a used RV and we have no skills in fixing it ourselves. But when the heater stopped working in the middle of the night (and it was 8 degrees, by the way), Good Sam's claimed not to have her policy. Our experience with Camping World's customer service has been less than stellar (second complaint). It's very hard to get someone on the phone who can help with any issue. That said, Mom was able to get someone on the phone finally yesterday. Her name was Leslie, and she was very helpful, tracking down all the records that Good Sam's claimed not to have, including the date Good Sam's cashed the check for her payment on that warranty, since they also claimed to have never been paid. Bottom line: don't be convinced to do business with Good Sam's. Find another policy. It's too late for my mom, and I'm very disappointed that Camping World would recommend that anyone, let alone a retiree who is using her RV as a residence, do any business with Good Sam's. read more

My son looked into trading his RV. He scheduled an appointment to drive it a long distance to Camping World for his RV to be inspected by them, and look into trading it in on something smaller. On the day of the appointment everything went great. He found a trade in, received reasonable offer on his RV and reasonable sell price on a new one. Paperwork was signed, down payment taken, deal made. Next day, Camping World called and said they had to lower the offer SUBSTANTIALLY, even though a contract had been signed. They WOULD NOT honor their originally signed deal. Unethical professionalism not to mention illegal. Do not bother doing business here! It's a waste of time. Update: I reached out as requested. Have emails, voicemails and sign papers along with explanation. It was forwarded to Idaho falls management. I was contacted by the manager Ryan (or maybe Brian - over the phone it was hard to which name it was) he said the verbal estimate for the RV stood and the written and signed one that was $18,000 higher didn't matter. He stated there were multiple things that needed fixed but refused to provide a list when requested (side note: I had a separate RV place in Pocatello a few months before taking it to camping world to do a thorough check through and they said everything looked great - I provided this list i received from them to camping world). I feel this was a tactic to quickly discard the issue. He was not open to coming to any other sort of agreement, but said he would talk to the others in his building and get back with me. That was two weeks ago. I haven't heard back. It seems the customer service response is just for show and not sincere. read more

We purchased a travel trailer in June of this year after looking at numerous different dealers and floor plans. No specific reason for purchasing from CW other than Coleman trailers are exclusive to them. I was a little worried because of all the negative reviews I'd heard. Our purchasing experience was pretty smooth. We did our homework and knew we did not want to purchase any of the additional warranties/coverages. We have used our trailer regularly over the summer and early fall. The only issue we had was not the fault of CW. We had an ongoing problem with our trailer slide. The service department was great about getting us in and when the problem wasn't fixed initially, they followed up with the manufacturer until the problem was fixed solved. Casey and Jesse were great! Overall a good experience. I'm a firm believer that you 'get what you pay for' in the sense of being educated before making a big purchase and don't blame everything on the dealer. read more

I bought a trailer from the Idaho Falls location, which was transferred to Meridian for pickup. I drove 500 miles one-way to collect it. When I got it home to Washington, I discovered the black tank was 2/3 full of human waste. This is a disgusting failure on every level and a health hazard. I contacted the Sales Manager in Idaho Falls, Logan. He told me to take the unit to the Marysville, WA location to have it sanitized. I drove there, only to be told by Marysville staff that they "had no way to dump it" and that I should just do it myself. I called Logan back immediately while at the Marysville dealership; I was told he was in a meeting and he never called me back. I ended up having to dump and sanitize someone else's waste myself. I did all the driving, I did all the work, and I got zero professional support from Idaho Falls, Meridian, or Marysville. Unacceptable. read more

My husband and I drove from Pocatello to Idaho Falls (approx. 100 miles r/t) since I will be retiring next year and we want to be able to travel more. We decided that purchasing a small RV or van conversion would be our best option post-retirement. Inside, I approached the desk where a sales woman and a sales man were. I told them what we wanted to look at and the sales man said "that would throw off the rotation". I don't know what that means but that was the extent of our conversation. Apparently, they didn't appear to want to make a sale because as we turned to leave, I said "I guess we'll have to go someplace else" and they just let us walk out. I felt that maybe we could have been judged by our appearance because our attire is very causal and it wouldn't have been a big enough sale to spend time with us. I am not one to leave negative reviews Our time and money is a precious commodity, and Camping World has no respect for either when it comes to their customers. I purchased a camp trailer on April 30th 2025 from the Idaho Falls Camping World. I wanted to pay cash, and own the trailer out right but was talked into financing my camper, and due to the desperation of my housing situation I agreed to an insanely stupid deal. That was striker one against myself mostly, but I definitely didn't appreciate being pushed to finance and create debt when I could have paid cash. Bad form on the sales department, in my opinion. Strike two- The day I went to pick up my camper, after the walk through was done and the paperwork for my horrible financing deal was done, while closing in the slides a door was that left open on the exterior storage compartment was broken off by the employees closing up the camper. I was given assurance and a form that they owed me a replacement and would contact me to get it replaced and installed at no extra cost to me. It's now July 4th and I have called and asked them 3x for updates and they never seem to know what I'm talking about. Very frustrating, and disappointing. Third strike- because I was moving from Madison county to an area further south in Idaho, I purchased Sway bars (which was not an inexpensive investment. Pretty sure it was an additional $800 or so). When they were installed The sway bar on the left side popped in perfectly no problems. However, the right had issues going in correctly even in the parking lot as the technician was teaching me how to properly hook up the sway bars, but the technician assured me we had it in correctly (after about 3 tries) and I felt confident, and had no issues that day hauling it to where I stored the camper for about 3 weeks till my move. The day I went to move from Madison County to my new home (over an hour south-the camper is my full time home btw) that same sway right side bar FELL OUT on the highway and tore apart my tire, and when the tire blew it tore off the front chunk of the fender and some wiring for the side lights came undone. Luckily (or so I expected it to be lucky) I was right in front of Camping World on I-15 so I limped it over there, thinking they'd honor their "Good Sam" slogan and warranties and everything else and replace my tire, fix the wiring and maybe while I was there get the door replaced that they'd broken. No such luck. They told me they couldn't get to it to assess let alone fix anything until mid week (this was a Saturday) and they'd have to see what would be covered. Not very "Good Sam" of them. Also, that same sway bar, after I arrived with my camper finally (unfixed, just the spare tire put where the torn up tire had been- why they couldn't have done that the day this all happened is beyond me) FELL OFF yet again, as the camper was just parked still attached to my truck. When I mentioned to the service tech that I have been emailing back-and-forth with that this had happened, she insisted that it must've been put in incorrectly. If that were true, don't you think it would've fallen off again as I went down I-15 for the 2nd time? It fell off while the vehicle and trailer were parked. Seems like faulty equipment to me. Finally at the end of June, after over a full month of dragging their feet on getting me a quote, no help from the $152 a month RV insurance they require I have, they quote me $1200 for parts and labor to replace the tire and fix the wiring and the fender. Still don't know where the door is, or "haven't seen a service ticket for it" and even though you'd think a sway bar falling off and destroying a tire while you're driving down an interstate would indeed qualify as a "road hazard", the warranty I paid $3000 extra for according to the paperwork I have and insurance both said, "not a covetable event". So... Don't go to Camping World. Go to Bish's RV or buy used on Facebook Marketplace and spare yourself your own Camping World sh*t show. read more

This review is long overdue and I hope it helps deter Camping World from causing any of its future customers the problems it has caused us. My husband and I purchased our fifth wheel from Camping World Idaho Falls in 2022. We had our eyes on two different models, and of course when we slept on it and decided we were going to purchase the less expensive brand, we did a handshake deal with the GM to meet in the middle, pricewise (a price that wasn't fully honored). When it came time to sit down and sign our contract, we dealt with Courtney. He welcomed us, told us he had a friend who worked for the bank that was handling our RV financing, and how he had an amazing deal he was throwing in for us. This deal, was an extended warranty. We told Courtney we weren't interested in adding a warranty because after putting down a hefty down payment, we had a monthly payment we needed to stay within. Courtney assured us, it would not cost us extra, that it was included. He drew up our contract and showed us a hard copy of what the pricing for the contract looked like. In this paperwork, we noticed a breakdown of the warranty prices hand written on the side of the columns; Courtney told us that was just the price breakdown showing what the warranty WOULD cost us, but ISN'T costing us because it's included. My husband asked him again, whether this warranty was going to cost us extra and again he assured us it would not, it was included. He had three chances to clarify and each time, we were assured that warranty would cost us nothing. A couple of months later, I pulled out the contract and noticed nearly the exact amount we put as a down payment, was the amount Courtney put as an extended warranty. I immediately reached out to find out what happened and why, to which Idaho Falls Camping World replied the contract is signed and there's nothing they could do to rectify that. In addition, a couple of weeks after having our RV financed, my husbands information was stolen. Several credit cards were applied for, and thousands of dollars were spent in purchases. When we disputed these fraudulent charges, we asked for the phone number associated with these new credit cards, and the phone number was a Pocatello Idaho number; just 30 minutes from Idaho Falls. At this point, I thoroughly believed Courtney was responsible and I brought everything to Corporate's attention. I explained that Courtney's tactics and how he wrongfully added that warranty to our contract while assuring us the numbers we were seeing were just for reference, is the same kind of person who would be capable of selling off customers info and capitalizing on that as well. Corporate's resolution? They contacted the GM, who then had Courtney call us personally. I did not answer those calls and sent an email explaining how inappropriate that was. Someone from Corporate named Jeff did try to call me, however, those calls went stale after the holidays. I lost traction due to my Mother falling ill and our relocation across the state, but have since tried to ask once more whether CW would help; It is now clear they have zero intention of righting these wrongs. Everyone I have dealt with regarding these grievances will not do the right thing and reverse the amount that was wrongfully and deceitfully added to our loan. A warranty is purchasing a guarantee from the seller that they will repair or replace a product or service if it malfunctions or is defective within a specified timeframe and under defined conditions. We have never utilized this warranty, not once. I have since spoken with Chase, who was then the Idaho Falls Sales Manager, and now the Finance Manager. He claimed to know nothing about my case, nor did he admit to knowing Courtney or the GM for that location, even though he was one of the few I dealt with when this first unfolded. He did assure me that the individuals I had grievances against were no longer employed and most likely due to the same issues I was presenting. Which is comforting for future customers, but we still deal with the repercussions of this man's actions against us. I admit, we should have paid more attention to the final numbers, and moving forward we will never make that mistake again. Buying an RV was foreign to us, and I can say with everything in my being, that if Camping World is someone's potential dealership, I would urge you to go elsewhere. Mind you, they're not Better Business Bureau accredited which may be why they are able and willing to behave in such a manner. read more

Bryce in parts was good to work with, and the 50% off on gear was a bonus. frankly, if I could rate a zero I would. first off I scheduled to look at a camper I was genuinely interested in purchasin. it was used, but promised to be inspected, reviewed and in all working and functioning order. we get to the shop walk through it and notice some of the seals on the edges of the rear roof that were shredded and exposed. to be fair it is labeled as, as is. okay easy fix we can do that. We happened to have a ladder near by so we could inspect the roof. on the front they had layer upon layers of an emergency duct tape and clamps holding the membrane to the camper. it was already compromised by moisture. The deal was off and I wasn't interested in it. They then tried to immediately upsell us on other campers after we said we were gonna wait. We had originally put a holding deposit down to hold it but was told it was refundable if the sale fell through. When we were getting ready to leave they tried to play it off and not mention refunding our money and I insisted I wasnt leaving till I had a slip refunding our money. I went to bishes and had an incredible experience and purchased an awesome jayco. Also, camping world bundles their orientation and inspection into the extended warranty but bishes does all that for free and even detailed the camper for free. I'll never buy from camping world after my experience and everyone that asks me will be informed of my experience. read more

We've been casually looking for an RV so after viewing RVs at Bish's and Smith RV, we saw a used RV that we wanted to view at CW so decided to check it out. The only positive about the entire experience was the receptionist. She was polite and professional. While we were waiting for a salesperson, we had a younger man come out and start talking with us. He offered to be our salesperson and show us around. It took only a few minutes of being around him and we wouldn't buy anything from him ever. He kept calling the manufacturer of the RV brands we were looking at by the incorrect name. He never shut up and was so incredibly pompous that it was distracting. When people are looking at RVs, generally it would be best to let them look. His lack of knowledge and the total BS he was spewing was a total turnoff. Plus, all of the used RVs we looked at were absolutely disgustingly filthy. Honestly, I've never seen such a lack of care. Would it really be that difficult to have someone clean these RVs so they look presentable? As far as we're concerned, if this dealership can't take the initiative and clean the RVs to present them in their best condition, why would we ever entertain buying anything from this dealership. In short, we would NEVER, EVER buy anything from this dealership. I've ordered online from CW before and have been satisfied with my purchase but that is a completely different experience. Purchased our RV in 2019 at Camperworld in Idaho Falls. The F and I guy Alex lied to us and said we needed to put more down than 4500.00 and he made us put 7500.00 down. He then said the loan needed to be for over 50,000 dollars and we had to have Gap, an extended warranty, and a wheel warranty. We loved the 270 RKS Outdoor RV and put up with this poor treatment because we know it is a good rig. After we complained to corporate he said he would refund all out warranties that we had purchased. He never did and kept his nice commissions for himself. We never knew because they were going to credit the financed amount back onto the loan. He lied and Camperworld management lied and said the Gap was credited back. Do not buy an RV from these people. On top of this, they put an undersized hitch on our truck rated only up to 10K when the rig weighs 11,000 K loaded. The hitch was also installed at the wrong angle and the trailer towed at an off slant. I had to have that fixed after I got home. Run don't walk away from this dealership. read more

We bought a 2007 Jayco used camper in 2021. We wanted to trade it for a new one and the trade in was $10,000 less than we paid for it. We also had to buy 5 new tires, a new awning, new microwave, and we bought the top of the line mattress. I understand they have to make money but come on. They don't care about anyone just the money. My trailer has been sitting at Idaho Falls,idaho camping world for warranty repairs. They fixed one item the outside shower. This is a brand new trailer purchased from camping world. It's been parked there for a month. Extended warranty won't cover a broken shelf and other structural item repairs. I check back to see where it was and they tell me that they could not get it because it was in another store. Ask them if they could have that sent over and they said no and there was a lady that was supposedly in charge and she was kind of rude, I've bought two trailers and had issues with everyone of them. One of them was brand new front window late and filled the front of the window well full of water. My overall experience has not been good. They tell you that they've got things done when they really don't I've given them a couple of chances to make it right have not been satisfied, so I will never go back. they are undependable. I just took delivery of my brand new Heartland 352 toy hauler, and I couldn't be happier with the sales experience. My sales guy, Gavin, was friendly and honest. He didn't try to up-sell me on anything I didn't need, guided me where I needed help and steered me away from stuff that was generally a bad idea. I feel like I got the best price I could on the toy hauler that had all the features my family and I needed. If you are looking to buy a new trailer, ask for Gavin by name. The dude has more energy than the Energizer Bunny and will run laps around the yard if you need him to, with a smile nonetheless. On delivery day, Jensen walked me thru the rig and showed me all the cool features and how to utilize them. He was very knowledgeable, and on the 1 thing I stumped him on, he was able to find the answer I needed by the time I got done in finance. All the staff were very friendly and helpful every step of the way. If you are in the market, I feel like you won't have a better experience than I had at Camping World in Idaho Falls. read more

We ended up at Camping World after a very disappointing appointment at another RV Repair Shop in Idaho Falls . Tyler at Camping World went out of his way to accommodate us late in the afternoon. The repair was major and Tyler said he thought they could finish the repair the next day if we spent the night and returned in the morning . We were happy to stay over a night since we had driven 200 miles to go to the other repair shop. We came back at 8:30 am and the repair was completed by 1 pm. The staff at Camping World were incredibly helpful, we have been to many Camping Worlds but Idaho Falls was far superior. We will be back. read more

An air conditioner that sounds like it's going to jump off the roof. A service dept that has to keep it for at least a week without seeing it. John Brooks helped us out and was upfront and honest with us. He did his best to meet our needs even with the high demand right now for travel trailers. I went beck this last weekend to get sway bars put on, which I wish they would have recommended when I purchased the trailer but that was fine. They got me in and out of there quickly and took the time to show us how to hook up the sway bars properly. We are senior citizens and my husband is a 100% disabled Vietnam veteran. We Bought a brand new Heartland cruiser Shadow on January 4th.. The walk through was scheduled late in the day so it was already dark. Couldn't see all of the problems at that time. Although a piece of ceiling trim in the bathroom did fall down and hit me in the head. The person walking us through said "oh no problem " as he took his fist and slugged it back into place. Upon arriving home with our new travel trailer several other pieces of trim were down and we could not lock the door. Called the service department and they came and took it back to the store. None of the trim was fixed and we were told that the door was warped and that's why they couldn't fix it. We were told every thing was on order and to expect it the 2nd week of February. We cancelled several trips and have been promised several times that the door would be in by such and such a date. It is now March 15th we were assured that the door would be in last week. No door and no one bothered to call us. We basically just bought a very expensive storage trailer. And we can't really put things in there because there is no door lock and the trim is falling down! read more

I just traded my motor coach for a fifth wheel. The salesman told me he would give me a high trade in and said it would be for a high price purchase. He even joked about "high for high or low for low". After the deal was done they listed my coach for nearly 50K more than was given. At the end of my last review the response was to contact the corporate team for help. I have done that and the only thing that they could do was to call the dealership and leave messages. The corporate office never received a call back! They have no power to do anything and this problem is still not corrected. Throughout all of this there hasn't even been one apology! I have no other option but to pay for the repairs myself and take them to small claims court. DON"T DO BUSINESS HERE!!! read more

I never post reviews, but I do not want anyone to have to go through what I did with Camping World Idaho Falls. I was lied to multiple times at this location and no one in service seems to know what is going on in the repair shop. I was charged $625.50 for work I asked not be done and it took more than two months for them to repair my trailer compared to the four days they assured me it would take. When I finally received my trailer I brought up all of the lies and problems along the way and they "compensated" me ($625.50) for the amount they overcharged me. I figured Mr Marcus(VIP) would do something about this, but the VIP email is a bigger joke than the facility. They will not read your email thoroughly nor do anything about the problem. I highly suggest using any other repair shop. read more

Feel ripped off. Drive out buy a trailer from these folks told I can take it to any camping world for service / warranty work. Ok feel good and buy. Drive back to Oregon. Oh sorry we can't do oregon title. So um here is your title and a check for the title fees we charged you but we going to hold onto the paperwork fees... um so I pay paper work fees for nothing the way I see it. read more

The sales associate Wyatt was awesome and very helpful and truthful. The major issue came when we got to finance and signing papers. The finance guy (Courtney) said "I am obligated to go over this info for the Warranty so just sit tight". After going over all the awesome perks of getting a Warranty I specifically asked him "ok, so how much more does this cost"? His exact response was "It's all included", to which I asked to clarify "So all that's included"?, he said "yup". So we put down $15,000 down payment and walked away with a trailer with $15,000 worth of added warranties, perks, protection plans, gap insurance all of which was not only not disclosed to us, but verbally misled to believe was included in buying a new RV. Granted, everything was in the paperwork, but if you've ever bought a car or RV you know how much paperwork there is to read over and you know that the finance person will always give you a synopsis of what you are signing. Moral of the story with Camping world is be very careful and read every word in your paperwork because they will not be upfront and honest with what you're signing. On a related note, shortly after purchasing our RV, my identity was stolen along with the checking account information used to purchase the RV. Again, not sure if it's related or just a coincidence, just wanted to people to be aware if they had similar issues. read more

Went there to asks the Parts Department a few questions about my trailer refrigerator and buy a couple things due to our refrigerator going out.
