The in-store sales they offer are bogus. Everything that was on my list, from a flyer distributed by Camping World, to purchase was slightly different from the flyer. For example the air fryer same brand and same regular price on sale $49...the one in this store is just a slightly different size, so they don't have to honor the sale price. Okay, moving on, but every item in the flyer was slightly different in the store, or just wasn't on the floor until after the sale. I could not purchase a single item at sale price. Do you really think that we will walk back into the store in the future based your choice of business ethics... I will only purchase something from this store if I can't get it cheaper anywhere else until my membership comes due! I do not recommend this store and I don't plan to renew my membership. read more

Worst customer service and business practices in the customer service department I have ever dealt with. Had my trailer for over 2 months for warranty work that they came back and said after doing the work wasn't covered by my warranty. Never informed me that my build in generator is covered by a different warranty and provided no info on what that warranty even covers and that Camping World is on authorized to work on Onan generators. After over 2 months told me I had to take it to someone else to have the work done. Trailer was taken to them when it was warm outside but they had the trailer when it began to freeze. Never called with any updates had to get mad at them to get it winterized while they had it. Ended up charging me $350 dollar and fixed nothing. Service people were condescending and rude. NEVER EVER take your trailer for repairs there. read more

I got an authorization # from the RV manufacturer and Camping World told me that was no good and I would have to leave my RV with them for 3 to 4 days until they got approval, then 4-6 weeks to get parts! After two trips to Camping World in Boise, ID, and purchasing and trying to replace the storage compartment lock on our camp trailer, both my husband and I had the chambers fall out, and the inside parts scatter on the ground. We stopped at the Idaho Falls Camping World and explained our issue to Kurt Roberts, the Retail Product Specialist. After we purchased our third lock, Kurt volunteered to help us install the lock. With incredible patience, he made it look easier than our experiences and successfully installed the lock. Five stars for Kurt, the incredible representative! Went there excited to buy a used truck camper from Jerry. I was watching videos and reading articles and something wasn't right. Turned out the year and model of the camper were incorrectly represented and the actual value of the camper was roughly half of what the had it advertised for. As we were ending our chat with Jerry I noticed another couple in the camper. I went out and explained the situation to them. We wanted to buy a travel trailer and had a price range in mind. We thought Camping World could help us, but it was an eye opener to find they have many trailers on their lot which are dirty and not in working order (trade ins? or consignment?). Our price range was very reasonable to buy something fairly new and large with a slide out. We knew this going in. However, the salesperson showed us trailers that were dirty and in very poor repair and way overpriced as per classified listings. After that waste of time, they showed us one $5000 over our stated budget and immaculate. Gee, how obviously crappy is that? Then, if that were not bad enough treatment, they said "plan to pay an added $500 for the shop to make sure everything works." ....What?!? They apparently take in used trailers which are not only dirty, but they don't check them out. I then looked around me and noticed acres of trailers and RV's on the lot with service tags and wondered if I could even have a chance of using a new trailer this calendar year. This was the final straw, and we left there insulted at the bate and switch treatment and feeling like we were trying to buy something from a thrift store and not knowing what you would be buying or even if it worked. Thanks to the bad treatment, we saved thousands and bought a great trailer by finding one for sale by an individual, listing it in KSL. It was clean, everything works and it fit into our budget. We brought it home and packed it up for a trip within 2 days. One more note: if you think you will enjoy the store at Camping World, they have everything at a higher price than other retailers in the area, and post two prices... one for customers, and one for members. How insulting is that? No wonder they had no other customers in the store... they were all at other stores or at home ordering on Amazon. No thanks... I'll not be going in again. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. Dropped my camper off May 27th due to a slide on a 2015 Jayco not working properly. The diagnosis had already been made by another company at the time of drop off. That day the dealer contacted me to ask about extended warranty, and determined there was one good until next year. Great! The next week we got a call saying they found the problem and the part was ordered. Then we contacted them around June 15th to ask if it was done. Nope. At that time the manufacturer didn't know what the part is so they had to figure out what it was to order the part. What? Today they have had my camper for a month, and are calling to say they can't find the extended warranty information, again. The camper is also not fixed because they need authorization. No more messing around. I want my camper back!!! And I will forever tell anyone who asks not to buy a camper from Camping World or have work done at this location read more

The worst Camping World I have ever been to and I am a full-timer for 5 years. These folks never made a promise they couldn't break. Their acquaintance with the truth is non-existent. I wish i could give ZERO stars. This place is horrible. They are dishonest, unprofessional, and greedy. We bought a used fifth wheel from them and it ended up having multiple problems that they claim were fixed. We tried to have them fix the things they SAID worked and they refused. Said that they already lost money on the sale since they gave us such a "good" price. We have since spent hundred of dollars (that we can't afford) fixing the problems so we can actually go camping. I wish i would have read the Yelp reviews before we purchased. The service department is terrible. Rude, dismissive, and unfriendly. Sales department was great until they got our money. We purchased our 2014 Keystone Springdale 267BHSSRWE travel trailer from OK Trailer in August 2014. The OK Trailer sales and service staff were great to work with. However, there is now a documented manufacturing defect in the installation of the roof of our Springdale travel trailer. Although Camping World of Idaho Falls verified that the rubber roof has a three year warranty, thus far Keystone is only offering seam tape (parts only, not including labor) to repair the roof. Consequently, we do not want to purchase another Keystone manufactured travel trailer. We plan to fix the roof and then trade it for a better built trailer. If you are considering buying a travel trailer made by Keystone from Camping World of Idaho Falls, please come and see the documented manufacturing defect in the installation of the roof of our 2014 Keystone Springdale 267BHSSRWE travel trailer first, and ask us about their lack of warranty and poor service. One star is to many! Read the yelp reviews, they are true!! I wish I would have read them before we bought our brand new rv. They are all about customer satisfaction until you sign in the dotted line. During our walk through the employee broke our rv. They said "we will have it fixed before you leave". Well off we go and get stuck in the woods because yes they made it look fixed yet it was not. The service dept is nothing but a bunch of lies and misrepresentations. The salesman will try and make you feel better with more lies and deceit. When you try and call the manager of this camping world he will not call you back after numerous voicemails and will lie to you also. I have never once written a review about poor service, which I have had before. This was beyond horrible and I hope I can help people avoid a horrible mistake. Start away from this camping world! I did a lot of research before looking into purchasing a Thor Motorcoach from Camping World. I was nervous about the purchase, but from what I have read, reviews are posted by people who are uneducated about the RV industry and play the role of victim when they are buying a recreational vehicle (read: not a car). These guys were great to work with, were very up front, and answered every question I had clearly when it came to final price, full disclosure of financing and terms. If you don't ask questions, don't read the contracts, and then complain later about what is clearly written in those contracts, that's the buyers fault. As an owner of other recreational vehicles, this is no different than those purchases. This is not Thor Motor Coach selling their coaches, this is a third party (Camping World) selling a product (Thor Motor Coach, etc) from another company. If you are having problems with your RV you can take it to any RV repair shop you choose...but these guys sell at the best price...research if you like, but I did that for you. Absolutely horrible and incompetent service that has cost me a small fortune in time and money. Had them repair my slide out and de-winterize my trailer. They were unable to do either and damaged the trailer in the process. Over a year later and I am still dealing with trying to get their mistakes fixed. I think we have a problem. I need to have my unit gone through again as I was allowed to take the wrong unit off the lot. The space above the refrigerator seems to be missing a door? The heater metal cover is off and a screw is on the floor? I would like to have this unit gone through in Kentucky on Sunday and have these things fixed and a new walk through. Please call me ASAP on Saturday. Why was the metal grate off the heater in the first place considering it was a new unit? We had a problem with 2 of our 3 RV air conditioners, and our #1 was under warranty with Coleman so we had to go to Camping World, our # 2 was blowing hot air,they were great fitting us in to their schedule unfortunately that's where it goes downhill, after an hour of shop time we were told that they had checked all the the voltage and both were working fine. We told them turn off # 3 a/c and check again. Another hour of shop time and they told us #1 was fine ( which it was) and # 2 needed to be replaced, the condenser was shot, a $1200 repair ! We needed to head down the road and Camping World had no a/c in stock and to order a new a/c unit was at least 2weeks out. Had a tech in Colorado Springs take a look, #2 a/c just needed a $30 resistor, working great!!! Shame on you Camping World! read more

We are so sorry that we ever took our 2006 Gulfstream Crescendo SE to Camping World in Idaho Falls, Idaho for a consignment sale. When we first took it to them they forgot to list it on their web page for almost 3 months while we continued to notify them of the issue. They finally got it corrected, but it cost us almost 3 months of advertising and possible sales. They made no concession with regards to the $499 Marketing and Advertising fee they charged us, even though it was their fault. They also added $12,000 to our asking price which we complained about so they finally reduced to a $10,000 profit for Camping World. It is no wonder that the motorhome was never sold by them after not listing it for almost 3 months and adding such a large profit to it for Camping World. In addition, we did receive a couple of offers, but when they contacted us with the offer, they expected us to take anywhere from a $4000 to $8000 loss from our asking price. Both of these offers were refused. They want to make their profit and screw the consignor. Also, do not believe the Facebook Add asking for great used RV's and paying top dollar. They wanted to give us only $38,000 for our $65,000 motorhome. We then cancelled the consignment and paid our balance due. Then when we inspected the motorhome, we found a broken molding from them forgetting to put the driver seat forward before putting out the living room slide, we found a loose molding on the couch from the freezer, dinette bed & couch cushions in disarray, a missing ext. cord for the engine block heater, the exhaust stack for the generator was missing, AC filters were laying on the couch, and a missing fuel cap. They also left lights on in the coach and left the propane on for the refrigerator and drained the tank. Camping World did replace the fuel cap and the generator exhaust stack and they repaired the slide molding. With all this lying around in the motorhome it is no wonder that they never sold it for us. We sure do miss the old OK Trailer and the personal service and friendly atmosphere that they had. It is not the same now that they are associated with Camping World. This never would have happened at the old OK Trailer. We will never recommend Camping World to anyone for anything, not sales nor service. read more

We were initially pretty frustrated because we drove out of the way, rushing to get there during business hours. We were only continuing on through the area and had been waiting two weeks to be passing a Camping World, so we were determined to make it that day. We definitely didn't have as much time as we were hoping for to actually explore the store fully, but they were super kind and helpful and wound up staying open 20 minutes past close to help us get everything we needed. The service writer told me I needed new stairs over 800 dollars, I left and cancelled the stair order cause my motorhome had had an oil change and the service writer was no where to be found, and I was ready to leave. Took my unit to Smiths RV and the good people there diagnosed the stair problem within One minute and then repaired it at a minimal cost. STAY AWAY FROM CAMPING WORLD. They seem to have no problem committing fraud on ladies traveling alone. read more

This has one star only because I can't go lower. The Service Department is awful. They have had my RV since the last week in September to fix a problem that was identified during the new buy walkthrough. This is the inside air conditioner cover. It was supposed to be ordered for me in March and I have been getting the runaround since I took it in for winterizing. I called this morning and was told they have permission to fix it and now parts are on order? Really? Give me the cover and I'll replace it myself. I am trying to get my RV in storage for winter before snow comes and it becomes much more difficult to get it in. Called today, more runaround. Beware before you buy from them!!!!! Electrical, plumbing and generator failures. Took it in for repairs and they charged $4,000 to re-seal and calk. They only fixed warranty plumbing and stole items from the unit. Had to take elsewhere for the generator. It was considerably over maintenance hour and cost $425 to service it. But it had all been "gone through". DON'T TRUST THEM! read more

Went in to look at a used toy hauler about 6 years old to be exact wanted 53 thousand dollars for the damn thing they just took in on trade. Would give me bare minimum for my trade and then try and tell me they were giving me more than what it booked out at. Wrong I spoke to a bank they told me they would loan up to 52 thousand for my fifth wheel. So long story short they didn't want to hit the numbers we wanted kept coming back with higher payment then we wanted. The first deal was close within. 100 dollars, but by the time we left it was almost 200 above what we wanted to spend. The reason for my 2 stars is because as a traveler I look for Camping World stores and the big U. S. Flag along the highway. Going north on I-15 in our 5th wheel through Idaho Falls I needed some supplies and spotted the CW on the opposite side of the highway and took the next off ramp. Proceeded in what seemed like a logical way, found the road to go back over the highway and there it was. There were no signs telling me otherwise so I turned on the road that went to the store, turned in and it was Full of their units and repairs. I was already committed so my wife hoped out and got what we needed. I had to back a U turn! This is an accident waiting! Boy they're in a hurry to get you to sign on the dotted line, but when it comes to service it takes weeks to get it in, and a week to work on it. Then you have to deal with the jacked up prices. I needed a water pump, mine is under warranty but it would be 2-3 weeks before it can be replaced. We have trips planned so decided to diy it. Called Camping World for a price, with the Good Sam discount it would be $96.97 and wouldn't be here for at least a week. Do not purchase Forrest River products. Brand new in shop 5 mos. for multiple issues, and they are still not all fixed. Forrest River would not extend warranty. Camping World in Idaho Falls not knowledgeable of product. Forrest River does not include ALL instructions in trailer packet. Slideouts have a remote that will "lock out" the wall controls. The "included" manual handles do not fit slideout manual part. Website for manufacturers of components and "after market" parts does not include a reset code, etc. Unable to access control panels in trailer when the slideout is stuck inside. Batteries go dead after using heater 3-4 hours. HVAC in trailer poorly designed. This trailer--Vibe Extreme Lite 268RKS--is a lemon! Interior aesthetics and floorplan are all that it has going for it. Camping World in general has always had a good reputation. I would hate to see this trailer and Forrest River products bring Camping World down! read more

Just bought a used 5th wheel at Idaho falls camping world! What a great experience!! Came from California to answer their ad and everything we were told was very accurate. In fact the coach was better than we expected. They let us stay in the coach for two days in their parking lot to be sure everything was in working order which allowed us to get a couple of things fixed at no additional charge. Then they agreed to move the coach to our trailer site in Montana too with no moving charges. Ryan Shurtz was a fantastic salesman and the tech Brian made sure we understood all the ins and outs before we left. Everyone couldn't have been nicer!! We paid $500 for a walk through and cleaning in which we waited another 2 hours after our appointment time and they didn't even wipe the counters or cabinets down. During the walk through we asked about winterizing. 'No problem. We will show you how, just call us when you are ready' ... My husband is ready called every day last week and left a message...surprise, surprise no phone call back. BUYERS BEWARE! I purchased a used toy hauler from this Camping World about a month ago and was told "everything works" on the camper by my salesman Monte. I came 7 hours to buy this camper and again was assured it had been "gone through" and checked and everything works. When I arrived they basically had not even looked at it and then winterized it before I could check anything. I "dewinterized" it only to find it leaked profusely, which they did fix. I was unable to check many other items as they made sure to "run out of time" as they were closing. There are a multitude of other items that don't work including the generator, propane lines, leaking shower, etc. Their idea of a detail was some tire shine. The inside of this camper was nasty, it took 5 cleanings with simple green to get the bathroom floor to not come back black on the towel. The rest is the camper was equally as filthy. I had been there since 9AM. They knew I had a 7 plus hour drive back and thought they would get away with selling a camper that they said that everything worked on when it didn't and was filthy. Very disappointing. They have since said they would do something but it was all just lip service. Be sure if you experience this same situation, inform who financed it so Camping World will lose their ability to finance campers and stop these unethical sales practices. Traveling thru the area we decided to stop and look at RVs on our way home to California from Montana . We met a sales man named Ryan Paul. We picked out a camper and told him we needed to head home, we had been on the road for a week already. He finished a "negotiation" made us pay a 2500$ down pmt on our credit card and said we would hear by the end of the day. (Monday at 1:00 we finished the negotiation ). We told him we did not have a place to stay that night, so don't waste our time if we cannot get financed. We were told he would contact us by the end of the day. We did not hear, and by 530pm. Nobody was there. We slept in our truck, because they took a deposit from me. Next morning, Ryan is off, would not return any calls or texts. We went to the dealership, and were told he hadn't even started the financing step. We were lied to. We spent 24 hours waiting, and he never even submitted it to the finance Dept. But did take my deposit! After speaking with the finance manager, explaining our situation , she said she would start on the paperwork, it's Tuesday at noon now. We told her that "the lack of professionalism we would not be buying an RV from this dealership " and want my deposit back. The sales man was a liar and wasted our time. I would NEVER recommend this dealership or sales man. Shop were you are treated with respect and not lied to. This is NOT the place. Buyer beware. 9/22/17 Update - it's a shame that consumers have to resort to posting reviews on social media to get action on their issues. I would like to acknowledge that as of today I have resolution on the financing issue and we have been offered a gift card as compensation for the other issues. Not perfect, but grateful for some resolution. We purchased a Stryker Toy Hauler at this location - nearly 30 days ago - the bank has no record of our purchase so we have no idea how to make our payments and where to send them - I have left two messages for the finance manager at the Idaho Falls location and she has not returned my call. Additionally, the generator was originally tested in October of 2016 - the gas was never changed and the generator was obviously not tested when we purchased it on August 30th - the gas is gummed up and discolored and the generator does not work. We will have to drive 120 miles round trip to take the toy hauler back to have the generator fixed. If it had been tested when we purchased it, this would have been resolved then. The inside of the camper was not cleaned - there was sawdust in the cabinets, there were multiple boot prints on the cabinet interiors that probably occurred during the assembly and were never cleaned. We have had to fix the alignment of several of the cabinet doors because they didn't open and close properly. Finally, we were told by our sales person that we should allow at least 4 hours to get oriented to our new toy hauler - the person who did our orientation spent about 20 minutes with us - he didn't turn anything on and seemed to be in a hurry to get us out of there. Overall, this has not been a good post purchase process for us. So disappointing. read more

Its been two weeks since I wrote my original review. We still do not have our trailer back. The day my review came out, we were contacted letting us know that they were ordering parts and that they were putting our trailer as a priority. I'm not sure what type of priority list they have but I'm thinking that it's been two weeks and were still not enjoying our weekends camping in our trailer. The parts they said they were ordering two weeks ago should have been ordered 4 months ago so clearly not much has been happening in regards to fixing our list of items. We have been by once a week since I originally posted and we still get the run around and the service manager at the location avoids us like we have the plague....real nice service I must say. We did get a nice email from Good Sam stating they would pass along my complaint to the appropriate person at the Camping World in Idaho Falls, but we have never gotten a call to follow up on that either, which comes as no shock. I will keep this updated and hopefully we get our trailer back before next summer since this one pretty much over and we haven't gotten to go camping once. Maybe Camping World would like to reimburse me for the last 5 payments I have made on a trailer that has been completely useless to us. read more

I recognize that trailer repaired can take a while and that is frustrating if it is during the peak season. However let me share my experience with this CW. I bought my 2017 RV in July. The first weekend out it had problems. They got it into their shop and back out within 10 days. I also wanted some cosmetic work done on it so I waited until the end of the season, November, to take it in. My trailer is still there, now January 12th, but I expected that. It's why I didn't take it there until November. But, Cameron in their service department has been fantastic at keeping me informed of the work being done every step of the way. He even drove me out to my trailer on their huge lot one random afternoon so I could get a couple things out of it.
