Predatory dealership with high pressure sales and unfair business practices. Just a few comments: 1. Told me I could not get advertised price unless I financed through them and that 7 payments minimum were required. 2. Would not provide cost statement ahead of scheduled closing date. 3. Did not disclose add-on costs and terms of financing before closing/delivery. 4. Added "hail damaged" to contract at closing. 5. Could not get a service appointment to fix 5 warranty issues for 8 weeks. 6. Service dept never answers phone. 7. Will not respond to requests for cancellation of extended service, road side assistance, tire and wheel protection. Wish I had never purchased from them. read more

I feel SO naive! I wish I had checked the reviews prior to driving all the way to longmont. We were looking for a used pop up and of course they "did not have any." Except for the one that had been "returned earlier that morning by an elderly couple who said it was too much work." Great! We didn't haggle the price (which was dumb) but instead went to the finance office with our sales gal to get the financing process started. She went away to speak to someone. That "someone" came in and notified us that the camper we were interested in purchasing was actually already sold. (Even though it had not actually even been processed or cleaned.) it was our lucky day though....because we Were going to be able to get a brand new one for only $1000 more! (Incidentally, our sales rep had bragged about Jayco's amazing warranty that would come with the first camper. Except! That warranty would actually be have been voided since it was a resale.) so, we agreed to the new terms of the offer for the "brand new pop up." Fine. We filled out the financial paper work and agreed to the credit check etc. we were promised a call on Monday (since it Was Saturday when this was all happening.) Tuesday rolled around without a call. On Wednesday I called an spoke to another "someone in financing" who stated that he "couldn't find" our file. What!?!? He ended up finding it and told us it was "pending." I called again on Thursday and left a message. I still have not heard back! Ugh. I am frustrated and disappointed. Our school aged children are also bummed. Please, please avoid camping world in longmont. It will save you a huge headache. read more

Customer service - HORRIBLE! Repairs - WORSE and rude! We bought a New Greyhawk and have had nothing but problems with it since. Take it in for warranty work several times and it sits for MONTHS and then we travel across the USA and the same problems occur. Now we have found out from FORD and Specialists that wrong parts were used, forced into place and not even wired properly. Other problems previously reported and allegedly fixed still inoperative. (Only thing ever fixed right was the AC we will give 'em that one). BEWARE of this place, although talking to other RVers around the country - BEWARE of all Camping Worlds! I rarely write reviews. But after searching for the perfect camper we found one that fit the bill at Camping World in Longmont. I was a bit reluctant to purchase based on the all the negative reviews on Yelp. Since we had a positive experience, I felt readers should also know of our experience as a counterpoint.... We were in the market for a used fifth wheel and had been shopping around a bit before going to Camping World. Upon arrival, our sales person was very friendly. Openly sharing a list of all the RV's they had on sale. Asking our budget and uses so he would know what to show us. Having previously owned 3 RV's we knew pretty much what we wanted and found one that fit the mark. We looked up the book value right in the waiting room and found their asking price was close to 'average retail'. We offered slightly less, he had to ask the manager (of course) and we landed in the middle. Pretty much what you expect. The only odd thing (perhaps worth minus a half star??) was that they push you to call Good Sam to get an insurance quote. But I didn't let it bother me. I know this is just another way for Camping World to make money and people new to RV's often buy it. Personally I think it is a waste of money but that's just me. So I did my part and played along, made the call but after a couple min informed the woman I didn't want or need their insurance. All fine. But Camping World really shined when it came time to pick up our trailer! Note: we did call in advance to confirm our appointment and that we were coming for pick up so it would be ready... It was freezing cold and windy that morning. Jeff who helped review the trailed for delivery was great. He spent about an hour or a bit more going over the ENTIRE trailer - much of the time while freezing outside and being very patient and helpful. As this was a used trailer we were very pleased because he made sure everything was in good working order, also made sure we had new batteries and full propane tanks. This is not something you typically get with most used RV purchases (or at least we never experienced before buying from Craigslist). We noticed a couple small things - e.g. two locks were not operational - so they fixed them right there. When we had issues getting the running lights to work on the trailer, their team went above and beyond to diagnose the issue finding it was a bad fuse with my truck. So they helped replace the fuse - in my truck - right then and everything was then working. I felt this was above and beyond and their delivery department should be commended for their excellent work. Wish I had all their names to thank them personally. Finance department was fine to work with. We were paying cash so perhaps our experience is different than others. The only thing we had to say 'no thanks' to was the extended warranty - these are typically a waste of money and all to be expected with any car or RV purchase so I don't get too hung up with it. There were also a couple of gimmicky forms which were not legally binding in any way - such as a Good Sam form acknowledging that Camping World's goal is to make sure we have a great experience. Whatever. Par for the course. Overall, we were very pleased with our experience and would definitely recommend them for purchase of a trailer. read more

I never write reviews, but I am compelled to share my outstanding experience at CW Longmont, CO. I drove out 1,100 miles from California to purchase a new 5th wheel trailer, and did not know what to expect except the great price we negotiated to make the drive worthwhile. When I arrived after my 16 hour drive, the employees at CW Longmont were ready for me to have a great experience. From sales to finance to delivery to customer service in the store, everyone was positive and seemed very happy with their jobs. This speaks volumes to the management of this store, as the upbeat attitude of the management trickles down to all the employees. Jim in financing was great with my kids while we signed the paperwork, and Dave with delivery gave us a 45-min walk through inspection being very patient as me and the kids asking many questions about features and functions being this is our first family RV. This dealership went above and beyond, especially when it came to hooking up my trailer to my truck. One very small, yet critical, component of my hitch was missing. The hitch parts were delivered to me in California, and I brought the package with me to Longmont for help with the install. Soren and his staff in delivery spent a couple hours trying to make the hitch work without this one component, because it was a part on backorder that would take another 3 days to get from Minnesota. Unfortunately, after much effort, we were not able to make it work without what Soren felt would be too risky for travel. I truly appreciated the effort though, especially since it was my own fault for not checking the box before I left California. The kids and I decided to stay for the weekend and explore Denver, CO. Soren and his team will have us up and running when the part arrives later this morning. read more

I want to write this review to let people know that this Camping World has earned their 4 star review. We had electrical work done by another Camping World and within a week experienced the same issue. We happened to be in the Longmont area and went in to explain our issue. They were booked out but Amy in service got us in. We were told it was a fuse and sent on our way. We explained that we felt it was an electrical short that had not been properly diagnosed by either Camping World. We set up camp and bang the issue returned. My husband went and spoke with Amy as we had discussed the issues we were having. After some phone calls she told him to bring it back the next day and they would re diagnose the issue. They indeed did re diagnose the issue and found a hot short under the bed. This was a huge safety issue and we are satisfied that they took care of the issue and worked us in even though they are booked out. Thank you Amy. read more

Took our camper into the service department for repairs in Jan. 2021. We had taken it to them to provide an estimate late in 2020. Got the same response as others - it will be two weeks. Today, 3/2, we finally went and got our camper because we were tired of the run around. Further, the original quote that they gave us they wouldn't honor. Said they screwed up the quote and the repairs would be almost double. They tried that same tactic when we took it in to them in Jan. 2021 saying the quote was wrong because it was based off of pictures. My husband reminded him that we brought it to them in person for a quote. We even requested less done on the camper than what was originally quoted because they couldn't get all the decals replaced. Less work and then today quoted us almost double the cost. I would never recommend them to anyone. Our camper was hit in Sept. 2020 and here we are in March with a camper still in need of repair. I clearly see why so many others have one star reviews as well. We only wish we had read these first before wasting our time. read more

The absolute worst place to have your tent trailer repaired! I took my trailer in September of 2015 to have warranty work done on my fridge. The 120 volt unit quit and the propane unit caught on fire. 3 months later and it is still not fixed! It has been excuse after excuse and now I'm beginning to wonder if they will ever get it fixed. Shortly after this post Camping World called and said my unit had been fixed. 3 months to fix a fridge that can be totally replaced in 3 hours is ludicrous! Avoid having your RV repaired at this location at all costs! Update: I finally got my tent trailer back and was assured everything was fixed on the fridge. I was told it was tested over night and worked the way it should. Its still winter so I took their word for it and waited until spring to test the unit. Its now April and I pulled the tent trailer out of storage to test the fridge and the first thing it did was catch on fire and melt the ignitor wire. No way am I taking it back to this two bit shop. I need to find a reputable place to have the repairs done right! read more

Worst customer service experience in my life. The service writer (Stephanie H.) has no clue what she's doing. Then, I got to meet the awful service manager Troy whom is a disrespectful, sarcastic, chauvinist. If you're a female, do yourself a favor and don't come here without your spouse. Or better yet, don't come here at all. They didn't do a walk through when we dropped the camper off the first time and they also didn't do a walk through when we picked it up to tell us what was wrong or explain anything. We took it home and checked everything that same night and immediately had problems with what we asked them to fix, and camping world ADDED to our problems when we found our toilet was broke. Took it back and still didn't do a walk through, the service manager Troy denied anything being wrong even though there obviously was because we have photographs and videos of the said problems, and they still charged us. Paid for them to do a complete dewinterization and it wasn't done properly. Toilet was left unhooked and sprayed water everywhere. Which we also had to pay $120, and it wasn't done right. When I asked to speak the GM he never showed up. Stephanie sent for him and Troy and instead a different "service manager" showed up by the name of James. Not to mention they claimed they mixed up work orders so who knows what got done on my trailer and someone else's. This place is worthless, the least bit of helpful, offers no customer service whatsoever, lacks attention to detail or attention to anything. Troy is demeaning, condescending and a complete prick, he has no knowledge of management and is far from qualified to do his job. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! read more

If I could rate lower I would. I don't know how this place stays in business. I call to set an appointment for six new tires on a class A motorhome ... a purchase over $3000. The phone receptionist us rude, transfers me to the department, it rings for 4 minutes and 20 seconds, they answer and hang up on me. I call back, even ruder remarks from receptionist, no answer, leave a message for a return call, no return call. Wait two days, call the store manager, leave a message and no return phone call. I'll give my $3000 to another business. The other two Camping World's in Colorado have bent over backwards to be courteous and helpful. Stay away from this place. read more

Wished I could of bought a camper today!!!! We went in to ask where the toy haulers were. The sales guys said walk out to our over flow lot and if you find one you like come in and get us. Really? I don't know much about them first time buyers.... I saved 30k up over the past year so i could purchase with cash. (If it went over i would have financed). So we walked around for about an hour looking up model numbers to try to figure out everything each camper came with. Ended up leaving after 3-4 salesman just drove by on there golf carts not asking if we needed any help. Well i guess buying a camper is like buying a car from most dealers. My review is about the excellent experience we had with two people Jeff in Parts and Cameron in Service. We didn't have an experience without a few blips but in the end we have well installed Maxxair fans with vents and wiring repairs on our tail lights. They went out of their way and were so very pleasant to work with that even with the few issues we had with installation and parts delivery, we want to give a solid thumbs up. We will go back and are grateful for how much effort was put into performing the work and meeting our needs. read more

The Business Manager claimed that a clerk found an RTD tax that we owed, despite his assurances when we paid for the trailer, everything was taken care of. After paying the tax, since the Buyers Order has a clause that allows Camping World to charge more than the agreed upon amount, we were finally able to put permanent plates on camper 6 months after the purchase date. If you like dealing with a sleazy and dishonest dealership go to Camping World otherwise, take your business somewhere else. read more

If I could give this company a half a star of less I would. My husband and I purchased a brand new 28 foot Jayco Trailer for just under $30k and after our third camping trip (1 month after purchase) we had 22 items fall apart on us, including an outlet that never worked and a refrigerator that went out. It has been horrible to get items fixed or replaced. We are now having to fight with Jayco/camping world on the urgency of getting our trailer back, so we don't have to cancel camping trips and lose out on our deposits. They have had our trailer for 3 weeks and nothing is fixed. It feels like we bought a used trailer not a brand new one and no one, camping world or Jayco cares. read more

We went in looking for a new travel trailer. These guys were our third stop. We found one we liked and ended up getting it. We did have to wait about 4 days for delivery not a big deal. Once we got it home we found that there were a couple of things that were not working. Keep in mind it's a 2021 new trailer. After about three days of trying to talk to someone over the phone they finally called me back. So here we are, dropped it off with them 3 days ago for a LED strip. No phone call, nothing. Our first holiday weekend and we can't even use it as it's still waiting for them to even look at. Calling them on the phone is a joke. Rings non-stop takes about 8 or so mins for someone to answer. On top of this if they have to order a part it will take a while to come in. Also upon the walk through they were supposed to have it cleaned etc. saw dust still all over the floor from the manufacture and someone's sweat spot on the couch has never been cleaned. They greased the tires but that's it. If I knew their customer service was sh*t we would have gone somewhere else which is what I recommend to anyone else. I'd post a picture but it's still at their service shop waiting to be looked at. Why setup an appointment if your not even going to be able to look at the damn thing for a few days? Very disappointed, oh and we installed a TV and they told me that if it was stolen while in their service department my insurance should cover it. What in the fu*k? Thanks for the confidence that you are taking care of my new 2021 travel trailer I've never used. Oh and the mask thing, it's 50/50 some have them some don't. We placed an order for two awnings to be installed this weekend, July 13th. We received a message on Wednesday, July 11th, saying our order form was returned - the sales person neglected to enter the color. I called and left a message for Terry, stating the color the awnings should be. No return call. Thursday, I called again, and left a message. Terry never called back. Today, Friday, I've been on hold for 23.04 minutes, and still no response. This is a disappointment. And from previous reviews, maybe that's a good warning for me!. Find another company! read more

They never get back to you when they say they will, and any time you call and ask for someone specific, they are magically off every time you call. They have screwed many things up inside our camper, they've had it for months to fix some little things that needed fixing on it and never call to update, promised things they couldn't do, owe us money on it and won't get back to us. First of all, we picked out a camper and put a down payment on it and they sold it right out from under us. Next, they get Coleman to remake that exact camper within a week. Within three weeks of having the camper everything fell apart! I mean EVERYTHING. The sink fell out, all the cabinets, heater broke, floors came up, literally everything. We took it back, it was under the "1 year warranty." They took the camper, held it for 4 weeks, didn't fix ANYTHING. And claimed it wasn't under warranty because the year had passed even though they took the camper and began " working on it" a month before that deadline. They claimed Coleman wouldn't fix anything, but we took it to another place with diligent workers and they got everything handled and still let us use the warranty because of how bad our experience was with camping world. Nightmare bought an $80,000 new RV, Started having problems on the trip stopped at the Camping World in Nashville they told us it was not their problem barely made it home could not make it to the dealership had to go to a private approved repair shop took them eight months to figure out how to fix the problem cost us $800 to have fixed. finally ready to license it the check they sent for taxes had expired call to get a new check issued and was told the check was cashed as I refuted then I was told it had not been cashed but their checks never expire when clearly on the check (that the DMV would not accept) that was not cashed said expires in 180 days. The incompetence of the entire operation is beyond belief. lessons learned do not buy from Camping World Longmont do not count on the president of Camping World's promise if you're not happy he's not happy and do not pay cash as then they wash their hands of you. Please think twice before purchasing your RV from this dealer. Oh sure, the sales process was a breeze because they now have my money. Now comes the part of a sale that truly counts...service! Their RV service system is horrible. You make an appointment 2-3 months in advance JUST to take it in!! Then we discovered that it's still weeks until they even look at it. We have three extremely tiny things for them to look at (they even said it was likely less than 1/2 hour work) and took it in on June 12. We have a camping trip coming up over July 4th and on the work order it was promised on the 19th. For the last 5 day's we have left over 15 phone messages for everyone in service including the service manager and even got sales involved. NO ONE will call us back to give us a status or let us get our trailer and we leave in 2 days!!! There is NEVER an excuse for not returning calls...never! Customer service does not exist here. And I'm SO concerned that it will be damaged while on their lot. Remember buyer beware! read more

Tried for over a week to get someone to return my call. Left several messages at the body shop as I am trying to get an insurance estimate for windshield and other repairs. Today I finally held on the phone until the receptionist was able to locate someone. I was offered a date two weeks from now to come in for a simple estimate. How long could it take to measure (if they need to) the windshield and look at a broken passenger side remote-controlled mirror? Me and my husband bought a camper last year in September and have had nothing but issues. First the day we went and picked it up the awning fell off!! Luckily it didn't happen on the highway because someone could of gotten seriously hurt. We called camping world and they acted like we broke it on purpose and really acted like they didn't care. We finally got the awning fixed. When we picked it up they had said that the camper had already been winterized so we didn't need to worry about it, there is even a sticker inside of the camper stating the camper was winterized. Yesterday we were getting the camper ready for our first trip with the camper and the pipes were frozen!!!! Seriously, they lied to our face!! This camper dealership seriously needs some classes in customer service, the customers are what make that place you would think they would be trustworthy . This is our very first camper and I am not impressed, this has been the worst experience. We don't even want the camper anymore because of all the hassle that we've had to deal with this establishment. I purchased a used class A RV, the RV had a couple issues but I purchased as-is at a very good price. I put down a deposit and when I came in to pick up my RV I found that they had fixed all the issues with the unit, installed a few new batteries , did a detail cleaning and misc. other items. I am really pleased with everyone I dealt with from the finance person , inspector and salesmen the day I picked up RV. Everyone was so helpful, they took the time to go over all the important aspects of the unit, making sure everything worked and then took the time to ride around with me as this was my first class A diesel RV to make sure I was comfortable driving. I purchased several items from the store and parts, everyone was friendly and helpful. I highly recommend Longmont Colorado Camping World. Very professional personal. Thank you read more

Wow - tried to buy a Jayco 32BHDS. Noticed that the drain pipe was flat, then slightly uphill - which was a recipe for freezing and cracking. (They were all like this - we picked the one that seemed less of a problem.) Was assured by the salesman, the finance manager, the delivery manager that this would be adjusted. Went to pick it up. Had to wait an hour past the scheduled time before anyone came to show us the unit. While the tires were very shiny, it was clear that no attempt had been made to adjust the drainpipe. Walked away then and there. If Camping World can't follow through prior to the sale, then there is no reason to believe they will be helpful after the sale. Buyer beware! read more

We had a very good experience at this camping world location. Our sales person, Mark Holland, was great. He spend a lot of time showing us campers until we finally selected the right one for us. Buying our first camper was exciting, so many floor plans and options to choose from. Our salesman Chris was very helpful, very patient for new time buyers like us. He kept his cool when we changed our minds fir the 5th time. All that excitement came crashing down when I went to get out plates. The title work was sent back to Camping World of Longmont because Camping World didn't add the City Sales Tax. You would think that something like this would be a top priority for them to contact their customer. A month went by and I had to make the phone call to find out why they hadn't sent the paper work back. Let's just say they were less than happy or willing to help me out and to get this matter resolved. The not so helpful lady told me that it was my fault that the City Sales Tax wasn't collected. Shouldn't the finance guy who sets up these loans know what he is doing? The only solution that this lovely woman would do is to send the paperwork to me so I can pay in extra $800.00 in order to get my plates. After attempting (unsuccessfully) to get an appointment with Camping World in Golden, I called Camping World of Longmont. The phone was answered promptly by Amanda, who couldn't have been more helpful. We had a safety recall/repair issue and her first question was, 'Do you have a trip coming up?' She was determined to schedule our repair quickly, which she did. I arrived at Camping World and was greeted by Cameron. He was friendly and efficient. Our repair took all of 30 minutes! I'll never go here for service again. It is impossible to get someone to call back. The service writers are very good on the phone but their repair people are not. They missed some very easy fixes that another RV place found right away. They couldn't get parts within three weeks even though they had the vehicle that long before they even looked at it (they were supposed to look at it right away)! The price for diagnosis would be okay if they had the parts in stock and were able to fix it right away, but seeing as how it would have been a 6 week time frame before it was repaired we took the vehicle somewhere else and lost the very expensive diagnosis fees... read more

BUYER BEWARE!! That's what should be written on their website. I'm not sure where to begin on my dealings with Camping World of Longmont, CO. I was shopping around for a certain style motorhome and found it on Camping world's website. I called their phone number and started speaking with HARLAN VOYLES, an RV Sales Associate. I told him I was interested in trading in my motorhome on one I found on their website, but I live all the way up in Northern Washington. So, before we were able to reach any deal I needed to make sure their RV was in great shape and fully functional with no issues. I told him once I was assured this was the case, and we agreed on a price, that I would drive the 1200 miles to trade my RV in and pick up theirs. Seemed easy enough. We spent 10 days going back and forth with emails and figures. I was assured the RV was in fantastic shape. So I left Washington to pick it up. I recently retired as a pipefitter out of the local union in Tri Cities WA. A number of years before this I owned and operated an RV sales/service shop in the same town. I would have never treated a customer, like how I was treated in the paragraphs below. When I arrived at CAMPING WORLD, I met with my salesman Harlan and I left to go inspect their RV. Almost immediately I noticed that the stairs leading into the door were bent and drooping. A sure sign of overuse, possibly due to someone living in it. Which I was assured that it was used for weekend use only. When we get inside, the carpets are still wet from cleaning and it had a musky odor. Things started to get worse. I see that somebody had installed extra outlets inside that were NOT up to code and further confirmed my suspicions that this RV had in fact, been one that people lived in before. I was absolutely not happy at this point as one can imagine. My salesman Harlan went inside to talk to JOE LAKE, the General Manager of Sales to see if there was anything that they could do because obviously, this motorhome was a GROSS misrepresentation of what was told to me so many times over email and phone calls. At every turn, the motorhome they were trying to sell me just fell short of expectations. I talk to a member of the srvc. department. I ask how it is, that these problems could be overlooked in their inspection process. Do they not test these rigs out before selling them? His reply was that not only did they KNOW about these problems, they had him working until 10pm to try and get them fixed. They even threw a brand new inverter in there because whoever put the extra outlets in there, did so improperly and they couldn't find the problem. So they put a new inverter in hopes that it would cure it. Not only did they absolutely know about the problem, they didn't even feel the need to let me know. I'm absolutely livid over this. I didn't drive across town to get there. I drove 1200 miles. This is NO WAY to treat a customer. I go inside and meet Joe Lake, the general sales manager. I explain how upset I am and he seems only concerned with getting me out the door. He offers me more money to "Fix" the problems I've found on the motorhome. Having serviced these before, I explain that electrical problems aren't as simple as a $$ amount. They can be extensive and expensive. We came to an agreement and I would take it. BUT, if I found more problems outside of the ones we talked about, I WOULD be bringing it back. He agreed, we signed papers and he shook my hand. I left in my new motorhome. Since I spent so much time there addressing these issues, I only got about an hour away before I got tired. I pulled over, set up for the night and went to sleep. I was woken at 2:30am because the furnace had shut off. It was 34 degrees outside so it was extremely cold in the motorhome. I tried to start the generator but it wouldn't start. Woke up a few hours later. Decided I was taking this back. But, the jacks wouldn't retract fully, so the jack alarms went off the hour trip back as well as one of the two power slides on the side, wouldn't retract fully either. I pulled in front of Camping world, I was returning this RV. Service mgr was the 1st person to show. After convincing him I NO LONGER WANTED the RV, he said it wasn't his problem, that's an issue with the sales dept. I told him I would NOT move this RV blocking the gates until MY motorhome was brought to the front lot so I could transfer my belongings. My salesman showed up, apologized and went inside to make phone calls to the general mgr to start the process of paperwork, returning my motorhome and my $14,500 deposit. When I spoke to SCOTT FOLKMAN, General Manager of camping world, he said his used RV's were sold AS IS, No Warranty but he reluctantly agreed to return my deposit. When I asked for fuel for my trip back home he says "Absolutely Not, Consider this the cost of doing business." I drove the 1200 miles home. Seems Hand Shakes and promises don't mean much here.
