    *** DO NOT BUY! KNOWINGLY SOLD A BRAND NEW CAMPER WITH MISMATCHED EQUIPMENT; REFUSED TO CORRECT AFTER THE SALE. SALES MANAGER AND GENERAL MANAGER BOTH REFUSED TO CORRECT THE MISTAKE - COST ME THOUSANDS ON A BRAND NEW $50K CAMPER *** *** UPDATED 7 JUNE 2025, SEE BOTTOM *** My wife and I ordered a brand new Jayco 29QBH through them at a show at Dulles Expo Center. About a month after ordering, we came to Thornburg to take delivery of the camper. The sales process went alright! We left with the camper. A few weeks later, we took the camper out to break it in. I immediately noticed that one of the tires didn't match the other three. Not only did it not match, it was a completely different tread pattern, had a different load rating, was a different ply-level, and had different air requirements than the other three. I immediately called Dan, the sales manager at Thornburg Camping World. He was incredibly rude and informed me that my camper had a flat tire on the lot, and they had replaced it with whatever they had lying around. He also informed me that their policy is that if there is a flat tire, then they are not required to put a matching tire on there, but can instead put ANY new tire that they find to replace it. I thought that this was surely a mistake, so I called Gavin, the General Manager. After calling for seven days straight to try to get a hold of him, he finally answered. He confirmed for me the claim that Camping World is not required to put matching tires on its campers. I was blown away, as Gavin was very annoyed to even be speaking to me about it. I called Jayco. They confirmed for me that you should never, ever run two different tires on the same axle of a camper - especially with different load ratings and PSI. They recommended I replace the tire immediately. I told them about Camping World, and they filed a report. I don't have high hopes that they'll get anything done about it. I filed a formal complaint with Camping World corporate. I will update this review if anything comes from it. Ultimately, Camping World decided not to replace a $300 tire - they decided that $300 is worth more than the safety of my family and I. They have lost a customer for life. They saved $300, but lost all future sales, maintenance, and I've already steered 3 of my friends to local RV dealerships instead of Camping World. DO NOT BUY! Either go to Manassas or find a smaller RV dealership that is willing to place safety and customer service over $300. *** UPDATED 7 JUNE 2025: I filed a complaint with corporate Camping World through their marcusVIP@campingworld.com customer support team, and they sent me a check for $300 to buy a new tire. I also called and canceled all of my extended warranties through this store - over $8k worth. If this is how they treat something they clearly did wrong, I would never, ever want to have to make a warranty claim through them. Overall, good customer service starts from the top, and this store's GM and Sales Manager have sales over customer safety in mind. It's sad when a store's corporate umbrella has to step in and apologize on behalf of one of their stores - I'd be so embarrassed, if I were a franchise owner. End of the day, they lost $8k of service contracts, maintenance and upgrades for the life of my camper, and my business when I come back to upgrade in 10yrs --- all for the cost of replacing one tire.     Worst of the worst dishonest shady worst customer experience literally I've ever had in my life if you want to be abused and ripped off, this is the place you want to deal with, Donny and daniel who are very dishonest and the receptionist who will abuse you and hang up in your ear forget about corporate they've insulated themselves so well as to not bear the brunt of any dissatisfaction absolutely disgraceful.

    Came just to check them out and ended up buying one. Husband was obsessed with getting one since our last long distance trip. Came in and met Tim Webb. He was very patient with us and answered All our questions and got us a great monthly price we could afford. They did all the financing in house and even who to call for the insurance . A++ to Tim. The guy really knows his stuff and how to GSD!

    Gander will no longer be selling  firearms and ammo.

    I don't think Gander is going to be in business long. Look up their history of reorganization and financial difficulties. Their new CEO made the decision to stop selling firearms because of the revenue tied up in inventory... Unfortunately that's pretty much what got people into the store. The 3 year Sam's discount card I bought to buy Gander guns and accessories is no longer functional after one year. Soon their warranty on RV's will follow. They can give you a 5 year RV warranty but what good is it if they are out of business. It doesn't seem like the CEO knew much about the business. We had a good run Gander.

Robynn and i have deleberately avoided participating in any black friday shopping for all the reasons we're all so familiar with. But my wife has recently become a "backpacker" and I wanted to get her fitted for a legitimate backpack so we made an exception to our black friday rule and went to the only place I would go to locally backpacking and other outdoor gear, River Rock Outfitter Even though the shop was filled with customers, Keith and April, the owners, immediately greeted us. When April finished with her customer she began the process for fitting my with a backpack. This process which included measuring her torso, what type of backpacking it was for day hikes or multiple day/night trips, types of weather, trying on multiple packs (with weigjts in the pack) took approximately 40 minutes, maybe more, but it was such a pleasant experience, it only seemed like minutes. My wife and April found the perfect pack but since it was not in the color my wife wanted, April placed in on order. We'll return in a day or two, try it on again and walk out with an early Christmas present for my wife we will now be able to share and enjoy many more years of backpacking together with a comfortable backpack. If you want professional backpacking and other outdoor expertise and a wide selection of high quality gear from a polite, courteous, friendly local business, go to River Rock Outfitters; you will not be disappointed.

Prices are on par with what you can find elsewhere, though they have a nice and rotating consignment area consisting of used gear of varying prices. They can also order gear if a specific size, color, or model is desired.
