Parking is horrid. Very tight parking lot. If you have a large RV, do not try to enter the parking lot. And don't park in the Circle K parking lot or the business just to the south or you'll likely be towed. I've had both good and poor customer service, depending on the employees. Many of the products they sale are of inferior quality. If you check the customer ratings on their website, you'll never see a review less than 4 or 5 because they appear to remove lower ratings. CW frequently puts out ads that quote a "sale" prices, or membership price. However, their sale price is frequently the same price all year long, and you can almost always find the same branded products cheaper on the internet or other retailers. read more

Took in a brand new Honda generator for service because it wasn't running. Camping World claimed the issue was not covered by warranty even though it has a three year Honda warranty. We came to pick up the generator and take it to a real shop and Camping world tried to charge us $129 for "diagnostics". VERY bad customer service and difficult to reach on the phone. read more

Stopped in at Camping World on Friday April 3rd for a few things we wanted for our recently purchased travel trailer. It was early morning and there were few other customers and maybe 20 people working there. I needed help with a couple of things and had some questions about minor issues with our camper. I stood in front of 3 different customer service people at the parts counter and not one of them troubled themselves to look at me, say hello or even recognize my presence. After addressing one of the CS people she just said she was busy and maybe someone else could help me. The guy who I did speak to me was clueless. It was as if he knew nothing about the merchandise they carried or just did not care to help me with my needs. We left without getting any of the things on our list. Very much unimpressed. The store is not a "camping" world but more of a RV parts and supply store. The supplies are, in my estimate, cheaper at Walmart or Amazon and to be honest, I expected a lot more than this store offers. As for parts, I've not been all that impressed with their selection or help. Every time I end up there I leave thinking "why did I come back". There are other options around that are cheaper. And there are local RV parts stores nearby that have staff who are very knowledgeable. read more

Camping World is a notoriously shady company, so what's another one star review or complaint to the BBB? We are talking egregious ethical and business violations. They delivered a purported brand new 2018 unit with no less than a half dozen major inexcusable structural defects, not the least of which was a GAS LEAK--a major safety hazard and something that should NEVER have made it past any inspection. Cracked master bed, (yes, the bed split in two pieces the moment I got on it to put sheets on--I weigh 160), broken window blinds, broken water heater, broken thermostat, broken tank gauge, broken stereo. Zero pride in their work and presentation on the part of manufacturer and seller.There were mounds of sawdust, leftover screws and various other debris from when this piece of s**t was assembled (ever hear of a wet/dry vac or a broom and dust pan?) THEY SELL ABSOLUTE JUNK. Dishonest to boot. They lie like no other business entity I've ever dealt with, and contradict what the manufacturer states about warranty issues. They will go out of their way to ring your phone off the hook before you make a purchase, but after that, prepare for hours of elevator music while on hold and weeks/months of unreturned phone calls and emails. Have caught them numerous bald faced lies. Will never deal with this criminal enterprise again. Boycott Camping World. read more

We brought our trailer in for repair after waiting for parts and they had ordered the wrong part So another trip back. They were supposed to have our trailer ready by 11am and we were still waiting for paperwork at 2. We recently purchased a Jayco Hummingbird from Camping World and had a great experience! We were in town for Christmas and found a great deal on last years model. We located the unit the day before Christmas Eve and went in on Christmas Eve to purchase the unit. We were leaving town the day after Christmas, we weren't sure we would be able to get it all done but Kirby was absolutely amazing!! He pulled what staff he had to all chip in to make sure everything was ok on the unit, clean the unit, and secure the loan! The finance manager Alison even came in to do our loan! She was not pushy and very helpful with picking options on our loan and the extended warranty options. Overall we were extremely happy and just amazed how everyone went above and beyond to help us out! Thank you! read more

Camping World has the worse service department. I had a ceiling vent installed, they connected it to the ceiling light. So, you have to turn the light on when you want to use the fan. This doesn't make any sense. When I ask them to wire it correctly they want to charge me more. The biggest issue is they never called me to let me know there was a problem. Now I have no other recourse but to pay them more. NEVER AGAIN!!! read more

Buyer Beware! The great deals come at a price. I bought a brand new RV. It immediately needed 3 separate trips to fix things wrong with it. It spent 6 weeks of its first 8 back getting work on. I can't say 100% that they knew about the problems before they sold me the RV. I can say that it is even worse if they didn't. Massive leaks in the slide-outs, parts missing etc. Every time it came back from the shop there were other things wrong with it. The last time I picked it up the AC didn't work in the cab. Turned out to be rodent damage that happened while it was on their service lot. They won't even return calls or emails to discuss it. read more

This is The absolute worst place to buy a camping trailer and then have to have it repaired due to a tree falling on it. God for bed that they have to do repairs on your camper this will motorhome because this will not only take forever but you will never be able to get in touch with anybody to receive any answers on any questions you may have. Had oil changed in our motorhome mid October. CW Tucson indicated we needed a power steering pump replaced with a $1000 quote. We drove to Phoenix and had the work done at Sanderson Ford Truck for half the price. Wondered if we were over charged for other work at Camping World. read more

We had a problem with electrically operated toilet flushing continuously. The agreed to work on it the same day I contacted them and our toilet was fixed before the end of the day. The service advisor understood the problem and the techs in the shop did an excellent job. Service was friendly, efficient, and the cost was reasonable. read more

We have had a "membership" at Camping World for many years. It has finally sunk into my thick head that the cost of membership entitles you to pay prices on merchandise that are 25-40 percent higher than you can find elsewhere! Yes, if you have an immediate need, they have a large variety of RV specialty items. But..... if you do not have an immediate need, you can be pretty well assured that you can buy the same item on the internet for far less. read more

We wasted our time following crazy Google maps directions to find a small camping world that has recently chosen to add RV sales. They did not increase their space/ lot size and it is IMPOSSIBLE to turn around a large RV in their lot. We drive a small 18.5 foot TT and nearly got caught. Another larger trailer (30 ft ish fifth wheel) was struggling to get out after we arrived, we nearly got run over by an RV bus thing... the story goes on. We did not even go in - we could not comfortably park, at an RV SUPPLY STORE IN TUCSON, crazy! Just avoid it and go to one of the many other RV supply stores in town. We wish we had. read more

Had an appointment to replace a vent. We were told to disconnect our trailer for the service which would be completed within the hour. After 90 minutes, they still did not have service people to install the vent (something they should have informed us when we arrived). It was another 30 minutes to get a refund and find someone to pull the trailer out of the parking place they left it. We got to hook up again without assistance. I have to let you know that we had problems with our rv and needed our slide mechanism fixed as we were set to embark on a summer long working holiday. We called the Findley RV Service Dept in Las Vegas where we live to schedule an appt. This is also where we bought our unit. Booked for two weeks they said!! No help there!! We called Camping World in Tucson where we would be. They said bring it right in as soon as we got to town which we did. 24 hours later the slide mechanism was fixed, tested and we were on our way. During our month long camping experience, we found other things that needed the attention of the service dept. We returned to have those things fixed before we headed home. The Tucson group was able to take us in and fix our problems that we discovered over our month of camping within another 24 hours and we were able to head home. When we got home we found our electric jack not working. The Camping World of Las Vegas was booked for a week and could not help us unhitch!!! Evert's RV of Laughlin/Bullhead has a service manager by the name of Kelli who gave us instructions to unhitch our unit until we can get it fixed. Yea, girl power!!! read more

Took my trailer in for warranty work, only to have it damaged with out letting me know, stuff missing, items replaced without my knowledge of lesser quality...treated me like I was unreasonable! For a definition of "bad customer service" or better still "no customer service" I suggest you take your RV to Camping World Tucson to have your work done. I had an appointment to inspect and take delivery of my new 2019 Keystone Cougar travel trailer. The trailer was purchased new at Camping World at the end of August, 2018. For the approx. 10 weeks during which I have been owner it has been in the shop for warranty work for 5 of those weeks. The trailer had been in the Camping World repair shop for the THIRD time, (this time it was there for 3 weeks) primarily because Camping World did not do its job previously in conjunction with the abominable quality control exercised by Keystone, the manufacturer, and by Camping World in putting the unit up for sale. The wall covering was coming loose. The flooring in approx. up to 20 places had bubbled and was coming loose from the sub-floor. A door molding was not attached to the door frame. The stove top did not latch and was loose. The battery was intermittently either dead or did not provide power to the coach, only to the hitch. The window shades were out of adjustment and did not stay up. Etc. The service rep. was specifically told that I would need and take an extended period of time to inspect the repairs. I specified that there be sufficient time and space to open the slide and conduct the inspection. I was the first and only person when I arrived. I was told where to wait for the trailer to be brought out of the service area. I waited in my truck for 25 minutes. No trailer. I went back inside. The service rep. told me that the service tech was assisting another customer, and would be with me shortly. I waited another 20 minutes. The trailer was finally towed to a place in the parking area and positioned so that the slide could not be opened. This was despite my request (twice made) to the service rep. that I would need to open the slide in order to inspect the flooring. I finally left in abject frustration having not inspected the trailer. In conclusion, let me add that when I initially brought the trailer in for warranty repairs, one of which included the bubbling flooring, the service rep. told me that frequently manufacturers did not attach the sheet vinyl flooring to the sub-floor so that the sheet vinyl could move around and "flex" (her word) when the trailer was in motion. Took generator in for annual maintenance service on a Monday. (Note, this is a generator I bought new from them for $4,000 a year before). Service Advisor told me he would call me when it was ready on Wednesday. Never received a call on Wednesday so called Service Advisor on Thursday morning and got voicemail, left message to call me back about status. Never heard back. Called service department Thursday afternoon and got another advisor's voicemail. Left message to call me, never heard back. Called service department Friday morning and finally reached someone. She said she got my message but didn't say why she never called me back. Checked and said generator was ready. Went into store and the first thing I said to the original Service Advisor was "What happened, you said you were going to call me when the generator was ready." His only response to me was "No reason, no excuse" and without another word just started typing on the computer keys to pull up my service order. I'll be taking my business somewhere else in the future. read more

We were having problems with our carry out Wingard so I did what Dish suggested and called Camping World for a referral to a local tech. I left two messages for the Service Mgr which were not returned. Wingard told me to purchase a new one as this one was mfg pre-2013. I drove to Tucson (2 hour round trip from where we are camping) and paid ~$500 for an allegedly new Wingard G2. I didn't notice until I got back to my site that the satellite had been repackaged and the factory setting had been changed from Directv to Dish. After messing with this for a couple of hours, Wingard told me to take it back and exchange to Camping World. Another 2 hour trip! When I took it back the Service Mgr told me the unit was fine and I was not hooking it up properly. Told him the disk was not searching for a satellite and he blew me off. He did however, exchange the unit for another which had not been opened. Long story short-connected and worked as advertised. I would not shop here again! I am used to better service from Camping World!! read more

We bought a nice looking 2002 Sunnybrook 27' 5th wheel on 10/2/2014 from CW and had to wait a couple days for the service department to go through it to be sure all was 100%. We paid higher than book price because we trusted them and wanted to be sure all was in good condition. We left for WA the day we received it and while on the road one tire came completely apart and the three others were separated and about to fail, they all looked new. We could have had a serious wreck. I put on the spare and made it to Les Schwab and purchased four new tires. The outlets in the rear did not work, the faucet in the shower is loose, the water hose connection is loose and leaks, no refrigerator light and the kitchen faucet leaks. We called the service department several times and left messages without any call backs. When we finally contacted CW days later in WA we were told it was not CW's problem since there was no warranty and we didn't buy extended coverage. Now that we are in the rain we are finding more leaks and the need for calking. I am in the process of doing all the repairs and will never give CW my business again. I hope anyone buying there will beware of the lack of caring and poor service. Don't trust them, they only want your money and will not stand behind what they sell (smiling faces). They are also overpriced on parts and supplies even with the Good Sam membership which is BS in my opinion. AAA has the same road service and 10% discounts at RV resorts. Terry M. read more
