She took the jacket back to Dick's and was told it was purchased past their 90 day window for returns. Additionally, their store manager and sales associate were curt and dismissive. She then contacted Carhartt who graciously agreed to replace the jacket including credit for shipping the defective jacket back to Carhartt. Big store, limited stock of accessories for whatever sport you're into. Bicycle accessories were limited to one mirror, no choices. I noticed the the same issues with baseball, hiking and just about everything else. Except golf, an entire section was just for golf but given the community it isn't too surprising. More expensive than your average sporting store but there are other options out there besides Dicks. One clerk and no staff walking around helping customers. I think maybe a manager or someone from corporate could easily fix these issues. One thing is certain and plentiful, free mall parking. read more

With being at home for covid and having an 11 year old only child, I wanted something she could play with outside on her own. But that I would be willing to do as well, on occasion. Trampoline! Unfortunately, everyone else had same thought. Unless I wanted to spen serious money or get a small one, trampolines weren't available at stores or on line. But, dicks let me sign up for a wait list. Three or four weeks later (honestly, it could have been more or less as I have no semblance of time anymore) I got an email letting me know they had some in. The email had a handy link to buy immediately, and within 10 minutes I had another email and text confirming my order had been placed and I would be notified when ready for pickup. The notification came within 30 minutes of the store opening. They give you four days to pick up item and then it is returned and you aren't charged. I went same day to get. The email gave clear instructions on what to do - from where to park to how to notify them that you are there. I pulled up, clicked the I am here button, entered my car make and model. Shortly after two guys came out, in masks, and loaded the very heavy box into my car. They gave me my receipt and we all went on our merry way. I drove an hour to pickup soccer cleats for my son which had been returned to the shelf. The cleats were on sale online and I had purchased them for at a sale price for store pickup. This was my first time visiting a Dicks Sporting Goods store. I came here searching for bowling shoes at the suggestion of a friend, who said that they had a stock of shoes for nearly every type of sport. Alas, my friend was mistaken in regards to the variety of representation since they did not have bowling shoes. However they certainly had versions of all of the major ones, including running, golf, baseball, basketball, football, etc. The store is very easy to miss since it is on a corner of Wetmore that is easy to overlook, but once you see it, you won't forget it. It's directly across the street of one if it's main competitors, REI. They have a wide variety of sporting goods here including gear, merchandise, you name it. They even have a stock of bikes for sale as well! Everything in stock is well maintained, the store has a nice clean feel, and the customer service is excellent. I walked out of the store with a pair of new sneakers that was priced 50% off! Other than that, some of the stuff is a little pricier than normal, though it's really not too bad. This store is very large and you can barely find assistance and when you do the employees are young and have NO clear customer service skills or training. Today I was in line and 1 cashier was helping a customer, answering the phones as the line grew longer. There was another youngman who I ask if he could ring me up. 3 items. His response was , " it will be quicker if you wait on him, by the time I log in he'll help you" WTF This is my 3 time visiting this store. Please go elsewhere. They sold me two right shoes and didn't care. It may sound petty but I bought these nice $200 shoes from them,. No problems with customer service or anything but the pure disappointment of opening those shoes for work and it two right shoes . I came in about an hour to close, and 15 minutes in every associate in the store came up to me to ask how I was doing. Appreciated, but it was all red flags after the 5th employee came up to me . I finish up, and came to the register with 200$ of winter clothes. I pay in cash, all 20's and like 3 dollar bills. Immediately when I gave the cash it was checked with the pen. Then a manager was called over, and it was all rechecked. It was then rechecked a third time by both of them, and they hand one back to me stating that they couldn't accept it because the line from the pen "disappeared". Sir, that is what it is supposed to do. It turns black when they are fraudulent bills. He gave me the 20 back, I gave him a different 20 (but If they rly thought it was fake why would they give it back lol) and then the supervisor walked away with nothing to say and he looked genuinely upset I had the money to pay for it. . I 1000% understand being thorough, but profiling is never okay. It is very clear that I was targeted, and training is needed on the part of management in particular, and with the way I felt leaving I can't think anyone who experienced this would come back. I purchased three pairs of these shorts (two in black and one in grey) a few weeks ago. I paid in cash and I don't have a loyalty card with Dick's (this was my first purchase). I have only worn these a handful of times but this pair is very poorly made and obviously not worth the $40 that I paid for them. The other two pairs I purchased have not done this. I didn't ask for a refund (I just want to exchange them). However, Rachel, the store manager, made the assumption that I wanted a refund. She didn't apologize for the cheaply made product her store sold me or even ask what would make the situation better. When I reminded one that the mask needs to also be over her nose, her and her coworker (standing about 2 feet away from each other) just giggled and turned away from me. Dick's Sporting Goods pulls a dick move. I bought a Coleman two mantle lantern online and picked it up later. The ordering process was smooth but when I got the lantern home and unpacked it, I discovered it did not have a handle. The plastic tie that keeps the case shut had also been cut. Most likely lantern was purchased by a customer and then returned and then sold again by Dick's as new without the handle. read more

No one was able to help with anything. Nothing good to say about this place. I was extremely disappointed. I am a female that has never been to this store and I was shopping for my boyfriend. So I had no clue where anything was &it was dirty here a lot of the shirts had dust on them like huge stamps of dust. All the sizes were extremely small, I couldn't find any three XL. There was nobody who was able to help me. I was looking everywhere for somebody to help, I couldn't find anybody. There was one guy that was literally hiding from me.I finally found someone and asked him for help and he said that "he was busy in the middle of something," so he would call somebody else. The other guy that showed up is hunter & he looked me in my eye three times and just passed me and didn't ask me for help but he asked the guy that was next to me if he needed anything and I looked at him and was like I need help and he just kept walking. So I had to follow him until he helped me. it's like nobody in the store wanted to help and when I finally got his attention he said "whatever is out here is all we have" and didn't help me with anything. There's no customer service, no one to help. everything is dirty. I couldn't believe it. I asked cashier for a discount and he gave me two dollars off. HORRIBLE customer service. District manager does NOT authorize bike returns AT ALL, despite never being used. Purchased a bike via curb side "no contact" in which bike was pre-assembled (horribly if I might add). Took the bike home and noticed flaws/scratches throughout frame during assembly and was not what we were expecting. Called the store and asked to return for refund the same day (within hours of purchase) and Rachel the store manager says they cannot accept the bike once it leaves the parking lot. After this, I called corporate and they had no problems what so ever accepting the bike back, however it will have to be shipped back to their company via pre-paid label... only because the local store will not accept the return and reserves the "right" to reject any returns. Will not ever shop at DICK's due to this encounter. Very disappointed that they do not follow corporate guidelines. read more
