Went in to just "look" for a dump trailer but we all know how that turns out. Wade offered to show us their options. We didn't need anything fancy as we are just using it for personal use, so he showed us the affordable options, didn't immediately take us to the most expensive one that was on the lot. Of course my husband wanted the fanciest one on the lot but I talked him out of it (haha). Wade gave us the prices, and we decided to just do it. The process to finance was quick and easy. The next day we came back and picked it up. Fast forward a few hours we get home and I get the bright idea to get in it and the husband can raise it so I slide down just because I can. That's when we notice half of the hydraulic fluid supposed to be in the tank was all over the inside of the box. We clean it up, let it sit for an hour or so and more had leaked out. Keep in mind this is a brand new trailer, this shouldn't be happening. Monday morning I call and speak to Sean who asked me to send pictures so they could start the warranty claim through Five Star (the manufacturer). So I did. Fast forward to the next Saturday we take the trailer to them so it can be fixed thinking they can just fix it and then handle it with Five Star afterwards. Also knowing that we would probably have to leave it there depending on what the problem was. Wade was at the counter and I told him the issue and he explained what it might have been but he would take a look at it. Jacob, one of the service guys, happened to come into the office and immediately said "I submitted the claim, we'll have to wait until they respond". I get it, but at the same time it's brand spanking new, and it's kind of ridiculous that not knowing what the issue is, we have a $7k trailer we can't even use. Wade was quick to say, "no, let's go take a look, it could be something simple and just fix it". Luckily, it appeared to just be a bad o-ring on one of the connections and Jacob fixed it there on the spot and refilled the hydraulic fluid for us. I would totally understand if it was a bad motor or something that would need to be replaced and having to do the warranty claim. Even if I was frustrated with the situation, I would understand. What this long winded review is trying to say is... I understand that there's a procedure to follow, but sometimes it's a quick fix and I appreciate Wade for pushing to at least look at it and if it's an easy fix, to fix it without having to wait for the warranty process. Because I think it would be utterly frustrating if we waited a couple weeks just to find out it was a simple o-ring. This review wouldn't have been so nice. So, thank you Wade! I had them install receiver hitch on my Mercedes suv but the electrical became a issue. Checked with Mercedes of Tucson for the trailer wire harness they wanted $800 unbelievable. I contacted Tucson trailer that i wasn't spending that much for four feet of wire and a controller. After some research I found the electrical kit at e trailer for $90 and the trailer socket for $68 with bracket. I will do the wiring myself probably get a better job. Unbelievable day read more

In mid-January 2022 Tucson Trailer Company installed a Draw-Tite receiver hitch on my 2019 Subaru Crosstrek. I should note that I brought the hitch to them for installation. They did not sell me the receiver hitch. They estimated that the job would take between 60 and 90 mins.....assuming that there were no hiccups. Well there were hiccups. Not with Tucson Trailer but with the Draw-Tite hitch. Draw-Tites' tolerance for drilling holes was off by about 1/2 inch. That is the holes pre-drilled in the Draw-Tite hitch designed for my specific vehicle were off by 1/2". ie the holes in the hitch did not line up with the existing holes in my Subaru sub-frame. One solution was to return the hitch to the original vendor (a large online company) but that would involve an additional hassle. Instead Tucson Trailer Company basically re-fabricated the "defective" Draw-Tite hitch. Yes it was an additional 45 mins of work but they made the problematic hitch fit perfectly. So I spent some extra time in the waiting room. And yes apparently they now have a nice waiting room with chairs, a tv, coffee....no donuts. I also spent about 20 minutes just yacking with the owner. He seems like a good guy. He was apologetic about the hitch not initially fitting properly. Which of course was not his fault since he didn't manufacture it or even sell it to me - but offered to make it work. The finished work was right on. I found them to be a fair and decent company to deal with. Prices were inline or slightly lower than their competitors. FWIW I think there skill set, equipment etc was head and shoulders above that big trailer rental company that also installs hitched. Yep, I feel comfortable recommending them. read more

Was referred to this company from a friend but it was nothing but miscommunications and blame game the whole way through. No matter the issue, they blame something else. Communicating proper expectations to clients is a foundation of a good repair center. Got told "it is what it is" alot. Went in for a simple fender replacement and safety inspection. I had at least one tire that was showing a crack all the way around and was told the tires were "fine" until i let them know that i already knew there was an issue. They then just blamed someone else for the mistake. After this it was just no call backs and excuses over and over of why they were not giving me the information I needed to make a proper decision on what should be added/repaired. There was also alot of blame game between employees about losing my paperwork when I called in after not getting a callback. Getting proper quotes that were broken down quickly and intelligently without needed to "call back again" was impossible and caused major issues. Instead of getting a call back about making a decision on another repair they suggested, they just went ahead and did the work without confirming the final questions about my quote. At this point I was kinda fed up with the shop because they cant use a ticketing system properly like all other repair shops and iv been left in the rain the whole way through while they just try to collect money. Now, for the fender replacement, I was told they were diamond plated not smooth like the one I had because the original was not currently available. They asked if i wanted both done, I said no. But i was not informed that the new one was WAY TO SMALL for the tire. The tire itself sticking out 3-4 inches past the fender.... Whats a fender do. It protects the tire.... Can't protect my tire if it doesn't cover it. Infact from behind, the trailer just looked like off center junk. They could have easily called me or told me this that it wasn't the right size over telling me it had a different texture. I could come back later and get another fender to match no problem, but not if both are micro sized After talking to the "parts guy" I asked if it was possible to get something thats at least the same size, and was just told "no" because he's always searching for the best price and only works with specific people. Then told me, "if i find it its going to cost more". my thoughts? who asked you to tell me what to spend or what to budget for this. Maybe it would be worth more to spend more if I KNEW it would be right. Just because i hard lined a budget with you doesn't mean someone doesn't have more money or can't still be upsold in the right conditions. At this point, I had the owner come out, I guess that's dave and got a few "i don't know what you want me to do's" before he just took it off and gave me my money back part+install 100% because I just kept pushing the situation because i was not satisfied with the expectations and overall service. Overall my opinion if they read this, invest in a proper ticketing system, like repairshopr, or repairdesk, or any of the other major systems that allow you to track and share client ticket information. Next, the buck stops with you, the moment you blame someone else, you look like a crap company. I don't care what the reasoning is, You represent the company, and for the "owner" to blame his employees over taking responsibility, and them also showing this same personality trait, it just shows the character of the shop as a whole as its portrays to its employees and whats allowed to happen to end users. Setting proper expectations and following through with them are the hallmark of a great repair shop. This shop failed this test 100%. Hopefully they improve in the future. read more

These guys are complete jerks here's. I bought a trailer from them over a year ago and the transaction went just fine. Called the owner Pat this afternoon and he says "come on in and we'll make a good deal with you". So, I called him up around 3:30 and told them I was going to be in close to their 5 pm closing time. I drove over an hour to get there and the salesman showed me a few trailers and I found one I wanted. Went to do the paperwork and they were not budging on price unless you pay with cash. At this time it was 5:10 pm and I asked to speak with Pat. He told me "the price was the price unless you pay in cash". I said to him "you said you were going to make me a good deal if I came in" and the response was literally "we don't make good deals after 5pm". Keep in mind I showed up well before 5 to look at their inventory. This was a $3000+ trailer too. I get its a business with normal operating hours, but the guy knew I was coming in towards the end of their day and welcomed me there over the phone and assured me I was going to receive a good deal since I was a repeat customer. To say "we don't give good deals when we're ready to close" is a kick in the teeth after spending an hour to get there. Shameful company, and the owner Pat is a complete jerk. I will be going to Phoenix for my trailer. This company sucks. read more

We drove down from Phoenix to check out one particular trailer and it turned out to be a great trailer at a good price. They were willing to give us a slightly better price if we paid cash, so we went for it. We paid $5,001.40 for the trailer. They weren't willing to shave the $1.40 because the water bottle they offered my husband at the beginning "wasn't free". They didn't mention he needed to pay for it, they just offered it to him so he accepted it. $1.40 isn't going to put us out, but he wouldn't have taken it if he knew they were going to make him pay for it. He had a drink in the truck and would have been perfectly fine walking out to get it. It wasn't a horrible experience overall, but we won't be returning customers. The trailer and price were good, but the overall service there wasn't good enough for us to be willing to make the drive out there again for them. read more

took my trailer down to be fixed and also purchased a brand new one to the tune of 5000.00 plus tax & license , upon hooking it up found out the coupler was bad on the brand new trailer causing damage to my brand new truck, as well as almost causing a major accident on the freeway !!! Pat the so called Manager told me he just runs the place and does not oversee the work. Upon picking up my trailer had major damage to the back end. I had asked to have the fenders welded on they only welded one side WOW ! as I was going down the road the ONE fender came off , this was after I had to fight to get the coupler off the ball due to damage on yet another coupler , went to pick up another trailer I had left for work to be done on as the third time is NOT a charm and did not want them doing the work !!! their welder (Steve ) purposely threw my rack down & bent the hinges , due to his bad attitude. Safety chains & a new battery were installed on my trailer without my consent ( no call or nothing just jack your price up without permission .We will most likely be in court soon !!! there was nothing wrong with my safety chains or battery , this place totally rips you off WATCH OUT !!! THEY ALSO KEEPT MY BOLTS TO MY TOP RACK THAT I WAS GOING TO HAVE THEM INSTALL WOW !!! I am a local born & raised resident of Tucson & have never seen such crap in my life , people do not care ! They installed trailer hitch on my Tesla today- they started it as I arrived on my appointment time. The hitch manufacturer says it is a 75 minute job but I'm sure that's for experienced installers so I was expecting many times that from someone who has never seen a Tesla (FYI- Tucson is a true desert for Teslas) before. I shopped around but Tucson Trailers had what I wanted without the 2-3 month delay based on Covid from the Communist Chinese. I dealt with Dave who answered all my questions and is a straight shooter. I settled on a 16 foot Car hauler with a 10k rating. The PJ trailer is a handsome package and my Wrangler fit perfectly on it. Dave was very helpful all along the way. No problems there. Dave recommended the Echo Brake Controller with Bluetooth technology. Sounds great and initially, we had it working then it didn't. Pressed for time, we left with the unit providing minimum usage of the electrical brakes of the trailer. Since the trip to Yuma is relatively flat, we departed at closing for Yuma. Along the way, we stopped and called Curt for advice on getting the Echo working properly. We were informed that our 40 foot Class A motorhome was too long for the Bluetooth to work. They do not have a Bluetooth repeater for the length of our motorhome. Hmmm.....I wished I had known that fact. Before leaving, I asked for the proper tire inflation which they said was 80 lbs. Great! Also, I was told to check the lug nuts after 50 miles. Good advice. The tires looked low and after traveling most of the way to Yuma, I decided to check on the tire pressure. All 5 trailer tires were in the 50-pound range. (*&^$^#) I had great service with Tucson Trailer and Dave was super. If it wasn't for those two factors mentioned above, I would have given TT 5 stars. My suggestion to improve the experience would be to have knowledge of the limitations of the Bluetooth Echo product and to have tires inflated based on designated axle/tire requirements. In all fairness, we were pushed for time. Time to travel and their closing time for the day. We left the premises minutes before their closing. Still, kudos to Dave and TT. I would definitely return for another quality trailer if I was in the area again. Also, the PJ trailer is awesome! it tracks true, straight, and looks like a million with my Wrangler riding high. I drove over 100 miles to purchase Lamar trailer from Tucson trailer. Was happy at first but not happy with the trailer warranty is basically worthless. I use it for business and depend on a good working trailer. I called multiple times because the rear axle would stick up after going over a speed bump or driveway. It is very hard to get it back down. This has never happened from my previous trailer. Tucson trailer bragged about the Lamar warranty which now is worthless. Patrick (the owner) told me to call Lamar and inquire about the warranty when I did they asked why I was calling and have the dealer call. I took my trailer 100 miles plus to get warranty while I made another purchase from Tucson trailer. They installed a flat bed on my truck had my trailer for 2 days didn't even touch it. They said they could not get in contact with Lamar or could not get warranty authorization either way wasted 200 plus miles towing my trailer to Tucson. Would I buy from Tucson trailer again NO, would I buy a Lamar trailer again NO. I'm done and feel all they wanted to do is make the sale no dealer support. read more

Dave was great at answering my questions before I decided to have them install my hitch. He scheduled my installation once the parts came in. Installation took only a couple of hours as planned. It became obvious very quickly that this is NOT a place to have your TOAD vehicle wired as first, no idea what a TOAD was, and further didn't have diodes to use in the wiring harness. Frankly, I don't see much difference in wiring a trailer for towing rather than a vehicle, but apparently there is! Not sure how they can install hitches on vehicles but not know how to wire them. We went to several local trailer supply companies looking for a utility trailer for our new Razr. As two women, we found the other companies' salesmen very arrogant and unhelpful. We were on our way to take the long trek up to Phoenix to find our trailer when we decided we would stop at Tucson Trailer. We are so thankful we made that detour. We ended-up working with both Dave and Patrick, and they both were extremely helpful, willing to spend time with us and answer our questions, and provided us with a great deal compared to the other dealers. We were hoping for the quality of a PJ trailer, and ended-up able to get the PJ trailer at a great deal. We will return to have a hitch receiver installed on my new sedan for a bike rack, and will recommend them to our friends and colleagues who are in the trailer market. I only gave 4 stars because it takes almost perfection to get 5 stars. But be assured, these guys are top-notch. read more
