I wonder why a business has so many negative reviews, camping world does not seem to mind as I have seen no replies from management. While waiting my turn in line yesterday the cashier received a phone call from someone looking for a part or something, he stopped checking out customers and devoted the next ten minutes to running to the back of the store not once but twice, as he was going the second time I challenged him on it, his response as he was walking away was that he had to take care of phone requests. I agree he does have to respond to phone requests, but not at the expense of people who took the time to come into the store and are now waiting in line to leave. Manager is not doing a good job of training his people to prioritize. Take care of the people who took the time to come to the store, put the others on hold. read more

We had been havin intermittent issues with our 5th wheel heater. We made an appointment & they got us in quickly. By the end of the first day, the mechanic still could not figure out what was going on They offered to let is camp in their secure lot for free that night. Wow, that was so nice of them. The next day they finally got the heater working, but said they wanted to order another part as well, but we could go back to the camp & they would let us know when the part arrived. After a couple of weeks the part arrived, they got us in immediately & we have not had any issues since then. They only charged us a very small amount of labor & the part cost. Would be nice if they had ANY parking for RVs. In response to their billboard on I-10, I pulled off to see if they had some items I needed. There was not single place to park and not just at that moment. I'm not kidding. Unless you need service, they have no spots and there are "No Parking" signs on all the surrounding streets and businesses. What on earth were they thinking in putting a location there?!?! Even worse, they spent money to advertise along the highway so you can go there and get pissed off because you wasted your time. read more

We had our travel trailer in to have the fridge serviced, a new roof vent installed, the toilet gasket replaced and the wheel bearings repacked. The fridge no longer works, the vent does not work which makes me wonder if I should make certain the toilet works and I should be worried about my bearings. We called the service dept this morning and left 3 messages. When we finally received a return phone call the gal stated she was the only one working in the service department that day. When we informed her of the issues she suggested we check the fuze. We informed her they need to check the fuze and prove that they performed the service we paid for and that we would be there at 9am tomorrow morning and that I will be accompanying my husband, that we'll be staying until all work is completed, proven to us that all works, and I shall be carrying my broomstick. read more

Drove thru a terrible side wind for 100 miles. It broke multiple screw heads on the slide out awning cover. Although their service department was booked for months they got us in and had it fixed within 2 hours. They could have sold me a new reel and fabric because we all thought it was broken, but another technician took a look and said, 'we can fix this'. We will never go back to that hole again we bought a new trailer 2016 Coleman Trailer and took it home about 60 mlies and we have 27 different things that are needed to be fixed they call me Kim after 4 weeks said that it was done and nothing has changed we want are money back are they won't do it the GM Steve Wells said that it will never happen and laugh at me this trailer is unsafe and they no it!!! I took a generator into the Service Dept in camper world in Tucson and spoke with the service writer available , gave Him My list of Problems and the repair manuals on the 17500 generac that i brought in . the service writer said that he had the best man for the job so I dropped it off at the service bay and went home. 3 weeks later i called no Idea yet. 5 weeks later no idea yet 8 months later they called Me back after I wrote corporate about what was going on and the dealership called me back ? what a supprise after after not getting calls back for 6 months . they told Me to pick up My generator it was going to be 8 Hours of labor , i almost went ballistic until the manager got involved and I retrieved My generator with out cost ? We recently went to Camping World to look at RVs. Santos Montana was the sale person who assisted us. He is totally professional. knowledgeable, knows the inventory and was never pushy. Rather he asked the right questions, determined what we were looking for and then took us to see trailers that met our wants and needs. His manager, Jake, is also totally professional and again, not pushy. The whole experience was positive and we would heartily recommend Santos at Camping World of Tucson to anyone looking to purchase a new or used RV. read more

Terrible experience with the retail store. First, I would like to say that the employees are kind and attentive. But....Led lights cost 4 times as much as Amazon. When I asked why they said corporate sets the prices. I used a Good Sams coupon for $30 there and had to return what I purchased. They did not give me my money back because the coupon was "one time purchase" and corporate sets the policies. Won't shop there again. read more

We had a new air conditioner installed and were extremely happy with the service. Shay, I wish I could remember his last name, was able to work with a complicated electrical system and his knowledge went well beyond the normal level of a "technician". First of all, they charge $130/hr for labor. Seems excessive but hey, maybe that's the going rate. One of those hours was spent checking my refrigerator which had stopped working on LP. After being told that no, it was working fine, I picked up the trailer and no, it really still wasn't working. Gee thanks! And no, I won't be making another appointment with these folks. Brandon and Alison at camping world were awesome in the whole process of us getting our new (to us) 5th wheel. They made it easy and fun. I couldn't have asked for better then what they did! The only complaint I had was that they didn't plug in the lights for our trailer so we almost drove off with no lights working to it luckly my fiance checked before we drive off the lot and when we got home I noticed that a brake light was out on the trailer. I was at camping world today and wanted to buy two clips for my closet in my RV and was also going to purchase a Coleman Grill. Went up to the counter to pay and waited about two minutes for someone to take care of me. I hollered over to the five or six people who wanted to sell you an RV and asked if anyone could help me. I heard an announcement on the PA for someone to come to the cashiers desk. Waited another over three minutes and then just left. We have had nothing but problems with Camping world of Vacaville, CA with getting my satellite and TV's to work in my coach. But while on vacation to AZ leaving CA all the stops we made the satellite never worked and spent most of my time on the phone with dish. We stopped at Tucson Camping World and was treated like we were the only ones there at the time. They took the time to listen to our issues and had me run to Best Buy and get a wireless HDMI unit that worked the rest of the time we were in AZ and all the way back home to CA they even suggested to get an HD TV for outside due to our rig being a 2007 it was out dated. It works great. The actiontec we got from Vacaville was poop. Big shot out to Lance, Kayla, Leon, David (service adviser) Shawn (manager) Rosie, and a special one to Shay for the time him and David spent making sure we were happy and our needs were taken care of. They had a lot of knowledge that we have never been told before to help us enjoy our coach and our experience of relaxing and have everything work the way it is supposed to. And all that they told us worked the rest of our entire trip. I usually don't like putting people or places down but something needs to be done about the Vacaville store. If I could leave NO stars I would. This place for service is by far the worst !! I dropped of a popup tent trailer to be fixed and NOTHING was done in the almost 8 weeks they had it. NO communication at all. I had to keep calling to get an update. Service people never picked up the phone. I even had to go in just to get an update. No compassion for people at all. I picked it up to take it to another shop and come to find out Camping World lost parts but claims they never touched anything also let cosmetic damage. They made promises they could not keep saying we will have it done. I even asked if I should take it elsewhere since they could not get the part and they asurred me they could and to be patient. I had a long over due family camping trip that we made the most of without the ammenities of our trailer. My mom and dad slept in the back of their blazer (Dad has back issues) and us in a tent on an air mattress. when we should have been sleeping in beds! I told them this and it was like what do you want us to do. If you are in the need for any repairs LOOK ELSE WHERE!!! Never again will I go to camping world. read more

I would not recommend camping world!!!! If I could give it a zero I would!!! We dropped our camper trailer off June 29 and was told they were going to get back to us within a couple days. That did not happen. First, they were waiting for parts to come in. Then when the part came in it was wrong. And all it was was seals to go around the pop out beds. When we finally got it back on August 1 they did not put the seals on right. And it still leaking water. Plus they cut a tear with their knife when they were cutting the seals so now we have a big tear in the canvas. Now being on August 9 I have to drive back up there again and have them fix it. There is no communication whatsoever with the service department. They tell you not to call their cell just text and no reply whatsoever until days later. So then you have to drive clear out there to get any kind of response whatsoever and half the time they don't know what's going on. At one point they even called to let me know that they found my keys. I asked them what keys. Then she asked me if I had my camper trailer back, which I did not. Then she was very confused. Of course the guy that I was dealing with didn't respond to the text so I ended up driving clear to Tucson from Vail wondering what's going on. Do not take your camper RV to camping world. It is a nightmare. And after spending over 800 and something dollars to take it back. They definitely need to work on the communications with their customers!!! read more

My wife took me to Camping World in Tucson on Father's Day 2018 to look at campers and work numbers ti possibly purchase one. The salesman was polite and took me through a large amount of campers until I saw one I liked. However, we went back to his office to talk numbers and options and were joined by his boss who began to argue with me about the towing capacity of my truck using figures that were over ten years old for my model of truck. He even argued with me about the kind of tires I had on my truck like I didn't know what I had. I didn't have the truck with me or I would have showed him. Now, he's scared my wife to the point that she doesn't trust that my truck can pull the camper I am looking at. He was rude, VERY wrong in his assessment, and lost a sale for his employee. Was looking for alcohol-free RV antifreeze and found that the Camping World website showed that they carry Star-Brite brand with no ethanol. I called Camping World in Tucson and spoke to a person there to ask if they had any in stock, specifically asking if they had Star-Brite brand, and going as far as giving them the item number off of their website. I was on hold while they checked. When they returned they said they had several. I asked again "are you sure it says Star-Bright on the label? and that it is the correct item number?" They replied "yes, we have it." I drove two and a half hours to Camping World in Tucson (I am in a remote location with one small hardware store nearby). Of course, you know the outcome. I arrive at Camping World, and look for the antifreeze. Nope. Speak to the service desk, he looks it up, finds it on the Star-Brite website, and tells me the ingredients. I already know that, that's why I drove two and a half hours. He looks on the shelf. Nope. Now I'm waiting to speak with the person I talked with on the phone, when the manager asks if I need assistance. I tell him the story, and that it was a five hour round trip, a tank of gas, and a day away from working on the computer, and he says "We don't carry Star-Brite products, except we do have Star-Brite cleaner." "Who did you speak to?" I tell him the name, he says "We don't have a person here by that name." I say "yes, you do, she's standing right there." At which point he tells her "FYI we don't carry Star-Brite." She says "oh, opps, sorry, okay" He says "Sorry, can't help you." What they do have is Camco brand, with ethyl alcohol, and twice the price that I could have gotten it at that small little hardware store nearby. Won't be shopping CW again. read more

ok, so I am impressed. been a full time RVer for 5 years.....this was the best RV repair service i have encountered in over 21 states and 12,000 miles on the road....and it was on Easter holiday week. My life partner and I had spent the winter in Tucson and scheduled pre departure service at CW's Tucson location. items needing attention included, worn slide rollers on a 32ft slide, problems with leveling jacks, some plumbing issues and a slide that would not retract. Doug, our service advisor, Jim the shop manager and the crew of techs pulled together a plan of action and got our punch list out in 36 hours....including an unanticipated "slide wont retract" surprise. The service was prompt, got the problems solved and the price was very reasonable considering the scope of work and range of problems encountered. We will be back. My husband and I recently had the pleasure of working with the sales team at Camping World of Tucson. Jake McCanless, Alison Wilsco and Rick really cared about helping us find the right RV. They took their time with us and helped work through measurements of the RV compared to our Toy to ensure the Toyhauler would work for us. We live in Mesa but would absolutely make the drive again to work with this team. I appreciate them looking out for us as individuals and not just another sale. We had a serious problem with a window coming across the Texas panhandle and it needed a fast repair. We pulled in at 4:45 p.m. And talked to Doug Deets. He had someone check it out, measure it for replacement and put in a rush order for parts. Three days later the parts came in and he worked us in. The repair took a little over an hour. The same week we needed another major repair. He put in another rush order for parts based on pictures we texted him and several days later the parts were installed. This gentleman was a pleasure to deal with and took care of us quickly. We were extremely happy with the service and his help. He turned two very negative happenings into manageable events. We purchased a coach on consignment from Camping World Tucson in June. After a long search, the specific model and year we were after turned up at this location. We live in Phoenix so took the drive down to see the unit in person. We were introduced to Ron, our sales associate, which was like working with a friend. Ron was extremely helpful during the entire process, and still to this day checks in with us. On our way down, Ron called and said that batteries on the coach were dead and asked if we wanted to reschedule. We went anyway just to look things over. Coach was in excellent condition. During my second visit, I looked over the entire coach noting a few discrepancies. We worked up a great price for the coach and then met the manager, Kirby, who was very accommodating and willing to address all issues noted, no questions asked, no messing around with the numbers. EVERY item that I submitted to Ron and Kirby to address on the coach was taken care of and available to inspect BEFORE we worked up our final deal, including new coach and chassis batteries. We also found that the generator had only 3 hrs. on it so literally hadn't been started in over 3 years - It did not run. CW literally pulled it from the coach, delivered it to the local Cummins/Onan service center where they provided a full service and replaced a faulty system board - Not a cheap repair. They bench-tested and returned the generator back to the coach in full working order - No haggling, no issues, just a fantastic sales process and customer service. On our final visit we met with Finance Manager, Daren, to work up our final deal. Daren was personable and professional in providing us a great opportunity with our "new to us" motorhome. Literally everyone I encountered at CW Tucson, including the young man cleaning our coach for delivery, greeted us with a smile and ensured we were being taken care of. The delivery with Lance, our technician, was smooth and one or two small issues found during delivery inspection were addressed on the spot. Even a few weeks after the sale, this "team" has continued to provide great service - Shipping a few parts that needed replacement directly to my home. I didn't even ask for them, they noted it during the final inspection and provided to me. This is exactly what good customer service should be and I applaud CW for taking the time to do it right and earn my business. For a significant purchase like an RV, you want honesty, transparency and trust - Something we feel we received from Ron, Kirby, Daren, Lance and the team at CW Tucson. I will gladly recommend CW Tucson and look forward to maintaining a strong relationship with them. read more

I bought a brand-new trailer from them I did a walk-through they told me everything that I pointed out would be fixed before I come to pick up the RV. Two weeks later when I came to pick up the RV and pay for it, A few things have been fixed they told me if I wanted to I could take the trailer in the Flagstaff and they would fix it since I drove over 200 miles to pick this trailer up .The trailer was filthy I was told the cleaning lady was off and that when I brought it in the Flagstaff for repairs they would clean the trailer. I believed him and I bought the trailer when I should've walked away from. Now I have taken it to Flagstaff to get repaired I am getting the runaround from both Tucson and Flagstaff. At this point I'm ready to get an attorney and return the trailer I would highly recommend nobody buy anything from these people they are crooked as hell. All they care about is getting your money and that's it once They got your money there's no more help. read more

For now, this is my rating of CW in Tucson. We visited there while traveling through, stayed in Benson for a few days, to ask for help on a windshield wiper arm that fell off of the coach (2015 Thor Tuscany) while traveling from Washington State. While we did not get the wiper fixed on this visit, didnt expect to, the team that I worked with committed to try to find a solution thru Thor. No response yet, but I know how long it usually takes Thor to respond. The reason for the rating is that this is the most positive experience that I have had in any CW store that I have visited. The service and attentiveness of the folks working at CW is across the range from totally unacceptable to what we experienced​ in Tucson, which was over the top. First we were greeted in the parking lot by the store GM, Kirby, who happened to be outside taking care of another customer. He came up to us to say hello to us and our two Bernise Mountain Dogs. He asked what we were there for and when I told him he recommended specific people to speak with. When I spoke with Rosie, she was extremely helpful and attentive. Next I spoke with Lana, who was also very helpful and pleasant. I cannot remember the other folks that I spoke with, but one was a manager, just on her way out to lunch with another employee and when asked by the young woman that I was speaking with, she stopped and helped out for about 5 minutes before heading out to lunch. Great store, great team. Kirby and his team should be proud. read more

When I returned with an item for help finding the right one, I was waved away by a service person who told me, "Just go look for another style." He did not look up from his computer. I did and purchased yet another mistake. Returning once again, I was told by the sales clerk that "Customers are supposed to know these things." I pay higher prices at Camping World because I am a new RVer and I need assistance. I can buy all the items they sell through Amazon for much less. I will certainly do that in the future. read more

I have contacted the service department 3 times for warranty or recall work. 1. the floor on the coach we bought was coming up in several places. we were told by mr. deats that keystone would most likely not do anything about it, we let him know that was not going to stand. Keystone fixed. 2. the paint on the front of the coach was going bad after 8 months. mr deats gave us the same story and we pursued it till keystone did fix it. 3. we had a NTSB recall on the awning, it could unroll while driving, the recall stated to contact the selling dealer, you guessed it Camping World, mr deats of Camping World told us we would be better of to contact the awning company ourselves. ISN'T THAT GREAT SERVICE........ we finally got in contact with Oasis RV on benson in Tucson and they did all the ground work for us to get the problem taken care of. If you need GOOD SERVICE and follow up it is best to go to Oasis RV on Benson hwy. and stay away from camping world. We have bought our last rv from Camping World. read more

I don't know how a place whose demographic is campers/ rvers doesn't provide rv parking. And it's not like you can just park off to the side, they put cones in the areas that might be able to accommodate an rv. There are signs everywhere that say "no rv parking ". I'd be upset if I came here w my rv and couldn't park it especially if I was spending $ at this place. The inside is like any other retail store, people are friendly enough, helpful. The merchandise is mostly overpriced but what else would one expect in a specialty store with big overhead? I think Marcus Lemonis needs to visit. MAybe address the parking situation, bring some more of that SweetPeets candy with them...Id gladly show up for more SP's candy. read more

I had an awful experience. I think I even was dealing with the manager. I needed to exchange my gps. He pushed a button and told me it was fine. There was no way he was exchanging it.
