Not recommended at all.. they have bad communication between clientele and within themselves! We had set a finance & pick up appointment for a Friday. We took time off to do this and when we get to the store.. they all think the appt was for a Saturday.. finance wasn't done or ready, the finance guy claimed he called me twice.. I did see one call only and I returned and never heard back... so, no finance was done, the RV wasn't prepared (a 2k dollar charge) to "have it ready for pickup".. so we decided to back out just because of bad service.. We had left a deposit and requested it back from The sales associate. He claimed that they were keeping $1000 of our deposit & this led to a discussion between him and us.. finally, he said that we would have to talk to a finance manager, and will not give us a name of any of them... We returned to the store and spoke to one of them, and they immediately said that we will get a full refund. We finally got a refund and went next-door to La Mesa, RV and we were treated 1 million times better. Don't recommend camping world at all! Don't buy RVs here, don't buy the overpriced equipment here. read more

This reviews is long over due. Camping world has a variety of campers, RVs, and practically everything for ones camping needs. My family was in the market for a truck camper. Scott was our sales guy who helped us get the truck camper that we wanted. Scott & Tim (the manager) helped us lock in great deal. Although we had to wait a few weeks for some parts to arrive so we could take our camper home on our truck, Scott kept us updated on the situation. Lance and the guys from service got our camper ready, explained to us how everything in our camper worked, answered all our questions, and made sure we were satisfied with our camper before we took it home. Driving from California, we were certainly happy campers on our drive back with our pre-owned Truck Camper. 6 months later, we're still very much happy with our purchase that Scott help make happen. Purchased a brand new travel trailer in June. Took it out 3 times and noticed some issues that needed to be resolved; emergency window would not open, the storage doors were catching, the door to the rv would not close properly, our fridge stopped working during one of our trips. Dropped our rv off and was told it'd be a few days, a week later they still had it and we are contacting them to get any kind of updates. Finally they got it in the bay. We got a call a few days later that it was ready to be picked up. My husband went to pick it up and they wanted to charge us $222. All of these issues should have been covered as this was a brand new rv. They "so generously" took off $75 because we lost food during our trip with the fridge outage, but still charged us $147 for everything else. Nobody called us before hand to tell us these things weren't covered under warranty either. The service after making our purchase has been subpar and we will be contacting the general manager to see how to proceed. I would take extreme caution before making a purchase from camping world as it has been issue after issue since we've made our purchase and they don't communicate. read more

First of all, after a month and a half of "nightmare" with this people I wouldn't even give them one star. Our last issue with our 3 year old trailer (cause there were many) was never resolved, and after waiting 4 weeks and not having any return calls we decided to go and check, of course they didn't even try to help us, even though one of the managers mentioned we had and extended warranty, we bought their famous "Goof Sam" insurances and god knows what else they wanted us to pay, a total of $5,000.00 worth of nothing!!! Oh, we did her a response from some Marcus, but never any solution. Tired of playing games we went to a competitor, same day we contacted them, they offer to helps us fix it, and to pick it up from Camping World lot, driver called me from outside their lot saying that they wouldn't release it cause we owe them money??? I spoke with one the managers and he mentioned something about me putting a bad review on social media, so I guess that's why he wouldn't release it, I was super upset than he said come and pick it up! We ordered a fifth wheel hitch which they initially lost in their warehouse! They said that they had to reorder it. We made an appointment for installation and again they told us that we had to wait or leave the truck overnight. Ridiculous! My husband complained about service and it was installed within the hour. read more

This experience is about Feb 2020, when I frequented this store during the gem show. I started at this Tucson Palo Verde CW to ask about Add-a-Drawer. Cashier who had only been working at that store 3 months, told me they do not carry it, cos he's never seen it. I told him I saw it at that store before years ago. He denied it. I went to ask someone at the parts dept (HE should have done that!) Lady there brought me right to where it was on the shelf. I brought it to that cashier to show him, See you have it! I looked it up on Ebay to see what prices they have and found they have larger sizes. I called the manuf Smart Solutions on my phone and that man told me that Camping World online has the larger sizes. When I went to parts to order, that man told me they do not carry it (cos he could not find it online). I told him that the manuf/distributor told me CW orders it all the time and THEY HAVE IT! Parts employee didn't believe me so I put him on the phone with the Smart Solutions manuf and Smart Solutions helped CW parts find the larger size that I wanted. So I was finally able to place my order, which the price was the same as the smaller in--store drawer. I am very turned off to the "we don't have it" when they do, attitude of the employees at the Tucson Palo Verde St store. It is not about the names of these employees, it is about the MANAGEMENT, No wonder that and other Az camping world stores (e.g. Mesa AZ where I picked up the drawer purchase) have such poor reviews on Yelp. The only reason why I don't give 1 star is because the young lady at the counter when you first walk in, is very helpful. She gets 5 stars, cos their internet was not working. She was helping me try to get online with my laptop. Another reason why I would rate only 1 star, but the young lady at the counter lifts the review to 2, is because they do not have parking for RVs at this store, only because the parking spaces that is intended for RVs do not emphasize they are for RVs ONLY, so trucks and other passenger cars just park in the RV spaces. The parking lot is very small. There WERE very small words RV Parking in those long spaces, but they got worn away. I told the manager that they need words that fill the entire space RV PARKING ONLY ! But at the time I was there beginning of Feb 2020 (I was in Tucson for the gem show), there was no lettering in he RV spaces. One employee told me 2 years before, that they even had a Smart Car parking in the long RV space. Manager told me they are going to fill the RV parking spaces with big "RV PARKING ONLY", soon, do I hope that happened by the time you are reading this review. The story behind this inadequate parking situation is also because of poor upper level management. When Corporate was looking for retail space for this store, someone at Corporate in another state back east, just looked at Google satellite view, and said "This looks good enough" and signed rental agreement for years based on "satellite view". They also did not know that the business next to them had an easement through their parking lot, as it was the only way the neighbor could access their facility. So when RVs have no place to park cos the cars are in the few RV parking spaces, RVers park in the road that the neighbor needs to get to work, or the RVs go into the neighbors parking lot to try to find parking there. All this is very poor management to MEEEE, in that Corporate did not want to pay to fly someone out to personally view the facility before signing a lease. Now they are stuck with these problems for years and years. I had a $10 Good Sam coupon is the only reason why I was trying to buy the Add-a-Drawer at Camping World, otherwise a lot of the things they carry WalMart at 1/3 the price. Honestly, I have specific examples such as the clear water carrier that costs more than double at Camping World than at Walmart. See photo captions. I think 85 percent of CW retail store merchandise here can be bought at Walmart for half the price. read more

I brought in my Winnebago MH to have the dinette replaced with dual recliners a good job was done on this, as they would have it in the shop for a few days I asked about installing a rear stabilize, and was quoted $370 for installation and I would order the part and have it delivered to CW. I paid for everything up front and left, only to be called a week later and told there would be an additional charge of $370 due to the fact that the mechanic would have to remove one bolt on each shock, fit a bolt through a hole in the mount and retighten the original bolt. I did get this reduced to $185, but really when a price is agreed upon it should be honored, not revised. I was told install was only an estimate after I was called informing me of the additional charge, if so then CW should not have accepted payment prior to completion of the job. CW made an extra $185, I guarantee I will spend more elsewhere for the years I own my MH. read more

I asked camping world to assess my 5th wheel for sale. It had been in storage on the base and I took pictures of it there before I brought it in. The woman I spoke to when I got there was business and courteous. She said it would take 3hours. I picked it up in 3 and returned to the af base. After parking it I noticed there was damaged to new fender on kitchen side. Pulled away from screws. It was repaired and was new in the last week before I took it in. But the most damage was a hole in the fiberglass above the window. It did not happen on the road from CW so it must happened done in their shop. I called and sent pictures. No follow up from them. I am really angry they dropped it. I was major damage but no follow up. Sent what they needed but I had to leave Tucson so my repair bill. read more

Got to give a 5 Star review for Camping World of Tucson! We have a 2019 Windsport 29M, and started a cross country National Park road trip from Cape Cod (Massachusetts ) in Mid August. Made it to California, and began our return trip . While pulling out of Joshua Tree NP heading to Saguaro NP we noticed fluid dripping out of our jack hydraulics. Contacted Camping World Tech Support and Thor. Confirmed that we could drive the coach to Tucson but recommended service ASAP. Once on the road we contacted Camping World of Tucson and explained our dilemma... they gave us an appointment the next day. While we waited, they diagnosed the problem and sent an employee to a local shop to have a custom hose made to fit our rig! Within a few hours we were back on the road! Never in a million years did we expect such outstanding service from Camping World Tech Support and Camping World of Tucson Polite, respectful, prompt, quality service. 5 stars all around! read more

Recently visited this location and looked at several models of ultra light trailers, after finding 1 we really liked, we began the number dance and the tune started changing. Apparently they have a typo issue with the price they list their trailers at and refuse to negotiate or compromise, although they did call back later and offered the price after they called Corporate, which should of been something they did while I was there. The sales guy, Scott was great. The back end failed to meet any expectation of customer service, if in fact they were losing money it would of been a measurable loss due to their negligence, now with another dissatisfied customer and poor review its unmeasurable. Update: It's been well over a month and still no generator! Still no returned calls or emails. Actually I did get one email from Sean to let me know he was working on my issue but that was it! Anyone I talk to I let them know not to bother coming here. They do not care about there clients! Definitely has the worst customer service! They never return calls! I have had a generator there for about 3 weeks. Purchased furniture in April. Told they would call me when arrives. I called May 10. Gee should have received it by now it's in stock in our distribution center. Call back Friday we should have it. Left message because they were busy. No return call. Called the next day same thing. Called next day. We have 1 piece not sure what's going on. Will check again and call you back. Nope!! Still no return call. They have been paid for all of this including installation because that's what they do. Never again will I purchase from them. Horrible service from the parts department. The woman checking people out was wearing one but started coughing mid transaction making me fell more uncomfortable than I have been visiting any store. The worst camping equipment store I've ever been to. Went in to purchase a replacement fan for my roof. I saw a fan that I really liked for over 400 bucks, but then there was a yellow sign on it which set for sale for $279. I grabbed it, went up to make my purchase and immediately the cashier began trying to sell me on some membership for an additional $30 in order to get the price of 279. I tried to explain, I can buy it online for $279 without having to purchase a membership to have the advertised price honored. Then some other cashier came and interrupted me and said yeah but you have pay shipping. Yep, I sat in Camping Worlds parking lot and ordered it online. Let's see, free shipping and purchase at the advertised price, or pay for this scam $30 + tax + $279. Easy decision. I thought after all these years, things may have changed. After buying nearly a thousand dollars worth of parts I had an appointment to have them installed. When I got there 15 minutes before they opened I was second in the service line. At 9:05 they opened the gate. At 9:30 I called to see why no one was checking the long line of customers in. The receptionist said she'd call over to service and send someone out. A woman appeared 5 minutes later. She asked me what I was there for then asked if I made my appointment with service or parts. Huh? I said I made it over the phone with whomever answered the phone. When she asked why I was there and I told her to have parts installed that I bought from them, she said, "oh, then you must have an appointment through parts, I can't check you in because I'm in "service." What a dreadful place. Nothing on their mind except how they make the most and the customer gets the least. I had a mechanism called a Trailer valet. I purchased on,one but was guaranteed to be able to return it to the retail store both by the manufacturer and Camping World online. Not at the Tucson store though. They treated me like I was a criminal. Even though I had all,the components they wouldn't accept my explanation. I left after 30-45 minutes of their indecision and incapability to even try and help my situation. Don't go if you don't have to. This might seem odd, I've been full time RVing for over 3 years and this is the first time I've ever been to Camping World. The only reason I am now is because the hand shower has a crack in the hose and you can't seem to get a plastic covered hose at Home Depot, only chrome and metal ones. The problem with those is when you're driving, they swing back and forth wearing lines into the whatever, plastic or vinyl or fiberglass shower enclosure. So, a useage specific store is really the only way to go. $13 bucks with tax and I'm out of there. Asked where they were on the way in, paid quick on the way out, the best possible outcome. Now my hand shower thing won't leak while I'm taking a shower. I've heard bad things about Camping World in regards to RV repair and that's always stressful, but so far, high marks for ease of finding stuff and friendly checkout. read more

I went to CW with intentions to purchase a Weber Grill. As I was looking at the grills ( for several minutes) a young lady asked me if I needed help. I told her I had some questions on the Weber grills and she made contact with Carlos. Carlos said he would be with me shortly as he was helping another customer. I waited several minutes for Carlos to help the customer in front of me. While I was waiting, a gentleman and a lady came by with a dog. They walked over to where Carlos was helping the customer in front of me. When Carlos finished, he immediately began helping the gentleman with the dog and started looking up something on the computer. I waited a couple of minutes and then left. Carlos should have informed the gentleman that he had a prior customer. The stead, I got left hanging. I spent over 15 minutes in the store and received no help!! I have since ordered the Weber online and got a better deal!! I guess CW can afford to provide marginal service since they're so big!! read more

i had been looking for a camp trailer for my daughter and I. (Single mom). I had seen some online I was interested in. I had been getting emails from a young lady on the management team. While in town last Friday, I decided to stop in. The salesman, Will, was very nice and showed us (my daughter and I) many camp trailers. I narrowed it down to a couple but wanted to do more research on then, which I'm glad I did! At the end of our meeting he asked if I wanted to go inside and talk numbers. I did. We sat in his office and he asked for my ID. I asked him for what? He said to get my credit score. I told him I wasn't ready for a hard pull I just wanted to get some basic numbers, like cost, what I would have to put down, etc. My credit is excellent. That would not be a problem. Will goes next door to the plexiglassed office next to his. There is a guy behind the desk, I'm assuming is the finance guy, and another man standing in front of the desk. Will tells him that I want to run numbers but I don't want my credit run. So the man in front of the desk asks him if I really plan on buying one anyway? Will tells him I have 2 picked out. The man tells him, "You go back in there and tell her we aren't running numbers for her unless she runs her credit!" The funniest part about it was he didn't realize I could hear him...but the plexiglass only went up so far...and I'm a high school teacher great hearing is a gift! . So poor Will came back in and nicely relayed the message. I told him not a problem, thanked him for his time and we left. Later that night, I got an email from the lady on the management team asking what she could do to make my purchase easy, that customer service was a priority for them. I nicely informed her of what had happened and told her I didn't know if that man's response was because I was a female or because he didn't think I had the money to buy one. I never heard back from her. I did let her know, I would be buying a camp trailer and it would be from them. On another note, I'm glad I went home and did more research because both campers I looked at and liked didn't get good reviews! read more

Small store for a big name. And it's not really "camping world" - it's more like "RV World." If you want to fix the plumbing in your RV, they have supplies for that. If you want to camp, forget it. They barely have any supplies, not even cans of butane. A couple of tents, maybe a sleeping bag, far less than you'd find in a small urban sporting goods store. read more

Please beware of all Camping Worlds. They are so deceitful. I knew the company as a whole had a really bad reputation. This review is about the company as a whole, I have no experience with Tuscan personally but I do of 6 to 7 other branches. The company is under the same leadership though which explains the attitude of deception. There are many things to warn you about and I frankly don't have the energy to go into everyone of them. 1st thing to know is: Make sure you do not drive off with the RV until you've looked over the contract and the RV thoroughly. Even if you've signed the contract there is NO DEAL until you drive it off the lot. That's the only thing that saved me when I saw that they'd added over $10,000 to the price of the RV. They had to tear up the contract. If I had driven off as they kept trying to get us to do I would have been screwed! Remember, no deal until you "take possession" by driving it off the lot. Same goes for automobiles. Another warning is about good sam roadside service, it's a scam and here's my story. We blew a tire on the MH. While looking for the GS card, wife called a mobile tire repair service since we were 30 miles from the next town. They charged $110 to come out and the tire costs $140. So, $250 total. Then we called Good Sam. We were transferred all around finally the mobile roadside repair was free all we pay for is the new tire and it will cost $450 to $500. I was shocked. So beware! The Agent on the phone ended up confiding in me that they'll add on even more once they're out there too! What slime balls. So be warned my friends and pass it on so others will know. read more

Took a tire off that kept getting a flat to be told from Discount that the tire was unrepairable due to someone patching the tire not correctly. Camping World of course said they didn't do it. Last summer We took our Lance cab over here for a propane leak and co2 sensor! Supposedly they checked both systems and came up zero. They said no leak even tho we could still smell it and they said co2 sensor never made a sound! Upon bringing it home the sensor started beeping right away so we took out fuse again to stop beeping. We turned propane on and still smelled fumes. The problem was we had service right before we were leaving town and after paying them over $400 and having to leave camper there we had no time or confidence in there abilities!!! We did call to complain! We just couldn't use anything using propane and just left CO2 disconnected! We are about to leave town again so made appointment with lazy days RV cause after the lack of performance from Camper World wouldn't go back. We only had propane problem fixed! They found regulator was leaking and replaced it. And charged in the $250. Range! Just wanted to highlight the complete lack of obvious knowledge or customer care at this place!!! We bought our first travel trailer from Camping World -Tucson. We were from out of town and the process was seamless. We found the trailer we wanted online and made a call. We negotiated on the phone and decided to drive out to pick it up. I asked very specific questions regarding the delivery process before arriving so as to understand what to expect and the timeframe. When we arrived, they did every thing they said they would. The whole process was professional and timely. They kept us informed and we didn't wait to long before we were on our way with our new trailer. Before heading out, we spent some time in the store buying what we needed. The cashier was super nice making sure we where aware of the coupons and sales that were being offered. Overall I am extremely happy with Camping World's service in the sales department as well as the store. And I love my new trailer. read more

We bought a Keystone Cougar from them in Aug 2020. This thing has been in the shop more than we have been able to use it. The Tucson location has given total excuses from covid, to parts, to warranties etc. One thing is for certain, they cannot keep track of their lies. I've tried several times via phone calls and email inquiry from their website (they've yet to call or email me) to get a quote for installing an ac on my pop up. I always get "the service department is busy and can't take your call right now so please call back" and today I got "the service department is busy, I can take your number and give it to the manager". When I told him I'd made multiple attempts to get a quote and get it scheduled, the guy referred me to Lazydays RV. Super disappointing! read more

I wonder why a business has so many negative reviews, camping world does not seem to mind as I have seen no replies from management. While waiting my turn in line yesterday the cashier received a phone call from someone looking for a part or something, he stopped checking out customers and devoted the next ten minutes to running to the back of the store not once but twice, as he was going the second time I challenged him on it, his response as he was walking away was that he had to take care of phone requests. I agree he does have to respond to phone requests, but not at the expense of people who took the time to come into the store and are now waiting in line to leave. Manager is not doing a good job of training his people to prioritize. Take care of the people who took the time to come to the store, put the others on hold. read more
