Recently we returned, stopping in from out of town, to have my rings resized (1 size change). We were quoted around $400 for 2 rings to be resized with a 1 month time frame. We found this way too expensive and found another local shop back home that resized my 2 rings for $86 total in 2 weeks. I would have loved to have my rings worked on by the original makers at Gholsons, but was definitely turned away by the price. I would love to see that kind of price changed to return back for more services.

Upon pickup, it was the most gorgeous, perfectly enhanced, using the original setting, (which we wanted) ring we could have asked for. Totally awesome experience. We could not have been happier. When I questioned the price on the receipt, it made him uncomfortable and he went into a spill about not forcing a customer to have a repair completed. I questioned the pricing for accounting purposes as the repair was related to a work phone and I reported what was quoted. He then showed me the pricing on the screen but I sensed his irritation at me questioning the pricing. An accurate quote would have given me the option to seek out another repair company of equal reputation before deciding whether to use the service and driving 45 minutes to the location. I chose to leave and seek out other options.

He gathered his fancy meters and we went to my truck. I didn't know what all those fancy buttons meant but he walked me through it, as he did his work. I can tell you, he new what he was doing. I was very impressed. As he completed his work, he said he could make my radio reach further down the road. He told me he would have to cut about an inch off the antenna and he did.
