Most of the food is expired they take advantage of the fact there the only store on that side of town and make everything extremely expensive they mess up change count sometimes giving less or more than what they owe customer service is terrible and the fact I've seen other reviews talking about them making comments in another language too young girls who shop there extremely disgusting if it were up too me id fire everybody and turn it into a grocery store with fair prices just my opinion so do what you will with it read more

Friendly staff and great prices! The meat department cut a custom standing rib roast for me on the spot (bone-in [3] end cut for about $48.00) and as I walked through the store I noticed prices were better than other stores that I normally shop. read more

They are known for the butcher shop. The meat is fresher and cheaper than the other grocery stores. The produce is marginal but I feel better about buying from them than anyone else. I think the produce isle leans towards a Latin palette. There's a gorgeous checker (he may be middle eastern) who is very polite. Makes my day seeing him. read more

This is a nice little neighborhood grocery store. A very decent meat selection and pretty fresh groceries. It's the mask thing. Two female cashiers weren't wearing masks because of heart conditions. Oh, okay. Why don't they own up to their knuckled headed, no proof conspiracies? I moved back up here after 30 years away. I'm a senior so I don't go out much. This was my first encounter with a what? Forgot to ask. Are you a white supremest or a Qnon (Is that how it's spelled? I don't care enough to look it up)? If you're Qnon you're just plain ignorant. If you're a white supemest you're dangerous. I left in hurry. It being my first encounter, I didn't want to end up on YouTube. But next time I'm going to engage them. A friendly store w/ everything you need. Really good meat dept I'm new to this area & this store is walking distance & very convenient.

I happened upon this little store because I take my little dog to the groomer in that strip mall connected to it. There was a sign outside that said " NEW YORK STEAKS 5.99 A POUND", I think; wow, that's a good price, so I go in and buy one. It was nice and thick. Actually I did not expect much, and even if I pay a lot of money I often still don't get what I would call a good steak. HOWEVER, I was wrong, oh yes so so wrong. Because I cooked it and i was blown away by it's thickness, tenderness and big beef flavor ! It was the best New York , or filet, or T-Bone or any steak Ive had in Humboldt. It was very juicy. I have shopped here several times over the last few years, and sadly, I have been disgusted with the behavior of one cashier in particular. Some will say, excellent customer service and friendly staff, which I'm sure is happening for most. Unfortunately, there is a heavier set, dark-haired woman who picks and chooses to whom she will be polite. She laughs, smiles, talks and takes a reasonable amount of time with the customer in front of me (always people lighter than I).When it is time for me, she rolls her eyes, refuses to make eye contact, WON'T speak, scoffs, and slightly slams her drawer. There are times when she will look past me and onto the one behind her, SMILE AND TALK, proceeding as if I wasn't standing right there. It is rather sad that such behavior is allowed. She is very rude and discriminatory. Several others have had the same interaction, or should I say non-interaction. I will never shop in the store again. She doesn't represent all staff but if she is the first encounter, especially for a POC, she alone leaves a stain on the store. Customers should be treated with courtesy. read more

Our favorite neighborhood market - currently transitioning to new owners, while keeping the same GREAT clerks, the fuller stocked shelves, basic grocery items, produce, liquor, etc. keep us from having to navigate the crowded aisles of larger markets in the area, AND keep us coming back! We have (for a number of years) found the meat prices/quality to be better than any we have found locally, and the personal touch given to customers is a welcome change from what other businesses offer. The staff are friendly and personable, the prices in many areas (most dropping of late), and the convenience, are all areas which speak for themselves. read more

The building is old and the exterior a bit unprepossessing, but this place is really pretty good for a small convenience store. They have particularly good prices on meat, and their produce is reasonable, and usually fresh. If something looks a little wilted, don't buy it! I've run across wilted produce from time to time in every store I've ever shopped in, including high end health food stores. They've got a pretty good selection of groceries in general, and an even better selection of beer and liquor; wine less so. read more
