This location and the food rocks. Coffee needs work though, they make you pay extra for an Americano with two shots, $.85 to be exact, when two shots is standard. For example: Starbucks Americanos cost $2.50 along with every other coffee shop in town, local or chain. Also their drip coffee is weeeak. If I wanted a cup of coffee where I could see the bottom of my mug, I'd go to Denny's. Also charging $.50 for a refill is a little silly, although I understand if people are there studying for hours on end paying for one cup but getting 12. Again though, the coffee is see through and that's why you get 12 cups at Denny's as well as The Campus Coffee Bean. read more

It took me 3 or 4 trips to finally write this review. The place is nice, drinks and food are okay. However, the cooks are extremely rude. It ruins the experience. If you have a simple question about your order or any changes, they act like the world is about to end. It is really disappointing when prices on the menu are not listed for the different sizes for the "coffee of the day" or some of they other options that they offer, but cost half again as much as the regular item. They are almost always out of the dark/medium roast, and sometimes they are completely out of drip coffee. I've been coming here for years, but I think it's about time to find a new coffee shop to study. The female workers they have are pretty rude when the objection of the prices come up, saying that that's how it is basically. The blonde girl who's usually working at the counter is very friendly and they have a great selection of different chai flavors. The red headed girl is very rude, always. When I lived in Flagstaff many years ago, the Campus Coffee Bean was a regular stop for me, as it had great coffee and a good cultural ambience. I spent countless nights listening to poets reading their latest works and musicians strum away on their acoustic guitars. Unfortunately, life pulled me away from that mystical little town in northern Arizona, but when I make it up to Flag to visit, the Coffee Bean is always on my list of places to stop. Visited flagstaff for my first time this summer and while in town got the hankering for a good breakfast burrito... Yelped it out and decided on this place. One of the best Breakfast Burrito's i've ever had for sure. The meat was cooked perfectly and the burrito was the size of a regular chipotle burrito (which is great for a breakfast burrito). The potatoes were also cooked perfectly and the whole thing overall tasted delicious. Only downside is that our food took a solid 15 minutes to make and there was nobody ahead of us in line. Food is amazing just don't plan on being in/out too quickly. read more

Coffee Bean is always a great place to get good coffee, sit and chill, or gab with friends. They have a pretty good food selection too, can be a bit pricey, but worth the money. Sometimes the folks working can seem a bit crabby, especially the guy who works the grill, but all in all its a great local place. read more

Being new to Flagstaff, this place was a perfect first-find. They have a great selection of breakfast foods (both for comfort and health) and a HUGE selection of drinks. The works breakfast burrito is fantastic and I loved hearing Jane's Addiction on the radio as I ate my breakfast. Would've given five stars but they didn't have a bold coffee that suited me. I have always like Campus Coffee. I do not get to go often but last time I was in my order was awesome. It does take a while but that is because it is a small shop not like starbucks and the cook cooks everything fresh. The owner has always been kind and caring. Normally the food from Campus Coffee Bean is cooked well and relatively quickly. However, the order I placed through LoDel today was beyond unsatisfactory (and I have order from Campus Coffee Bean before using LoDel). The order took almost 90 minutes and then the order was barely warm, the french toast was not cooked well as requested (and therefore was barely edible), and the bagel sandwich was wrong (it had cheese on it). LoDel offered to have the order remade and the bagel delivered was still not what I ordered and included a note saying sorry we had to change your order without even contacting me (if I was told the order would be drastically changed to something I am not allowed to eat then I would not have had the order remade as it is upsetting to me to waste food). The food and service are great, but they need to work on cleanliness... all the lights and ceiling fans are covered in dust and cobwebs. There is a pile of dirt under the cashier counter that you can see from standing in line. Kinda wonder what's blowing around into your food, especially when the fans are on. read more

Seriously thee best Coffee I've ever had! And I've had quite a bit of coffee! We left Flagstaff, headed to Sedona & back home again. Couldn't stop talking about Campus Bean! I can't wait to go back! One man ordering ahead of us took 10 minutes. We finally ordered their 2 egg, bacon hash browns, toast, coffee. (No refills--50 cents x-tra.)My scrambled came out wrong--fried and we waited another 20 minutes. Ate them anyway as we were on a schedule to Grand Canyon mule tour. Scenery beautiful inside and out. Laid back coffee shop with lots of selection and seating.

I love this place. You can sit here for hours and do your homework without the baristas giving you dirty looks for not buying more. Their coffee and food is a little pricey but it's worth it if you need to write a paper. I've written many a paper here and this place never gets too loud to concentrate. It's also a great place to meet people to work on projects. The young Dems exec boar regularly meets here and I've met there a few times with study groups and others. The have a fantastic tea selection and the food is always really delicious. The one downside is that sometimes they have open mike night and ive accidentally found myself writing a paper while people are playing. I've also been kicked off the stage thing a few times while studying so that bands can set up. Usually the music playing isn't really my thing either. read more
