I've lived in Camarillo Heights for 45 years and I'm offering a different review of our Camarillo…read moreHeights Pleasant Valley Mutual Water Company, PVMWC, than the less than flattering review left by Jacob. His review was written in a time shortly after the Mountain Fire when our groundwater wells were being treated and monitored, due to toxic debris seeping into our well water supplies. PVMWC was in the process of bringing them back to safe drinking water levels. After the fire was extinguished, driving through the Heights was a heart deepening experience. I was deeply touched by each sign I saw for those looking for missing pets, stands replete with water bottles, neighbors had donated for anyone whose water was shutoff, and especially moved by the large red, hand-carved wooden hearts and words "Thank You to our First Responders". Our community recognized the courageous efforts of our Fire and Police Departments, however, it was also the unsung heroes from the Pleasant Valley Mutual Water Company who were in my thoughts and prayers. These dedicated individuals left their own families, in peril, to ensure that our community had the resources needed to weather this unprecedented fire storm. They worked, around the clock. Our Pleasant Valley Mutual Water Company, has remained dedicated to returning and ensuring our water quality remains safe. As a customer, I remain, grateful for their transparency of keeping our community aware of our water quality, especially after the Mountain Fire. PVMWC has demonstrated, through well-documented updates on social media and direct communications, complete transparency. They keep the Camarillo Heights customers informed in their efforts, while ensuring our water remains safe and educating us on how we can also contribute to safeguarding, our most precious resource, our water, "in the best of times and in the worst of times". Hey, are you a fan of Sprite? What about 7 Up? Perhaps Sierra Mist was your thing, but I guess they…read morechanged it to Starry? Hipster route, you loved Mountain Dew Ice! Maybe you're old school and Bubble Up just can't be beat. Well you're in luck, because some form of fizzy clear lemon lime soda comes out of the faucet if you are in the PVMWC district. Only problem is, while it is extremely fizzy, it doesn't taste quite like lemon lime. In fact, it tastes like a dirty pool. But again, it still fizzes, so perhaps you like the clean, crisp taste of sparkling water? Well sorry to say, but forget about the word "clean." This water is anything but. At least with beverage options, you know they're cheap, right? Well yet again, lower your expectations. I live alone in a house with no washer for my clothes, no dishwasher, and due to the rancidness of the water, I only drink bottled water, something I would much rather not do. So, what does a daily shower cost me? Over $50 a month if you can believe that. You see, the real scam is that they have two separate maintenance-like fees. Best part is, the city of Camarillo allowed for this, in order to make the water of a good quality, only problem is, it still isn't. Long after they started with the extra fees. So I use $5 a month at absolute most in water (my bill even verifies this), but get charged over $50. I thought it was a mistake on their part, so I had to call customer support, which leads me to my next point... ... Does anyone even work in customer support? They have never once, not a single time returned my calls. They have only ever contacted me once, when their system failed to save my autopay, and only telling me after my bill was due. Since that was the only time I got in contact with a human being, I asked the kind lady why the bill was so much higher than the already-too-high price, and she explained that the city allowed them to pass on their misuse of funds onto the consumer in order to afford clean water. I then asked, "Well is the water at least drinkable yet?" And no joke, her response was, "It should be now!" Even they accidentally acknowledged how bad their water was. Worst part is, it never improved, I wonder where all that money is going, because it sure ain't into filters. Their office even has water coolers, must be because they don't trust their own product. To top this all off, while that incident was years ago without so much as an improvement, they did recently try out a new soda option. Out my faucet came some root beer last month. Oh boy, a new flavor from the comfort of my own home. What's that? That isn't root beet? But it was brown? Oh that's not caramel coloring? That's rust? Oh my, I better call the people in charge. Would you guess they didn't answer their phones on two separate occasions, hours apart? Well I had to call the emergency number instead, then after many rings, I finally got a hold of someone. I explained my situation, and she said she'd have her technicians contact me with how they are going to fix this... Only thing is, they never did. They are fraud-artists and should be investigated. Only thing is, Camarillo is also at fault and no matter who I call in the city, they never seem to know who is in charge of the utilities in the city. This company is a scam and if I had the option I would not in a million years be their customer. Too bad they have what is essentially a monopoly on a service I need in order to live. Imagine that!

So grateful that we've had Jerry's help and used Pro Solutions twice now for our plumbing needs…read more Both times were A+ experiences and I'll be continuing to use them for all of my plumbing tasks as they come up. A few years ago I used Pro Solutions and Jerry came out for a water pressure issue that impacted our sinks and shower. Jerry was thoughtful and a good communicator on the issue. He fixed the issue immediately and that experience stuck with us. Fast forward to this week, we used them again. Thankfully, no emergencies but I had one toilet needing a tweak and needed hardware changed in one of my bathrooms for the shower and sink that was long overdue. Even though my request wasn't an emergency, Jerry offered to come out within hours of my request to fix everything and was communicative even late into the night (when my toilet started acting up so I frantically messaged them) talk about stellar availability and service. Next day I had Jerry at my door, he was punctual, professional and did a great job of explaining everything so that I could understand what needed to be done, the pricing, and options for the replacement pieces. It was all a seamless and easy process. Jerry was also quick and efficient which was another bonus. What gives this company extra brownie points in my books though is their honesty...To elaborate, I had partially fixed the issue with my toilet before Jerry came but there was still something slightly off about the water levels... after telling Jerry he was able to tweak the part that I didn't know how to fix and literally in seconds, he had the issue resolved. Given what a quick fix it was and that he was already out to help with other plumbing issues, he didn't charge me for the toilet fix. Little things like that go a long way because any other plumber would've likely charged me just for even touching it/assessing it. That shows me that they care about their long-term business and customers, so they aren't out to make a quick buck. Honest, hardworking people are the kind of businesses I'll always go back to for repairs and projects. Two separate experiences and I was a happy customer both times. I'd highly recommend using pro solutions, plumbing and rooter for your house repair needs. Thanks Jerry and Team!

This other company inspected my unit and said I needed to replace the entire system at a cost of $12,000.00 to $20,000.00. They offered a 10% discount if I signed a contract at that moment and had them replace my unit the following week. I didn't sign the contract. Instead I called AirWorks for a second opinion. The AirWorks technician was friendly and knowledgeable. He inspected my unit and determined the system was working fine. He said the water pump had failed and that's why I had water on the floor. He was able to replace the water pump in just a few minutes and it only cost me a few hundred dollars. Since then my heater has been working well and I've had no issues. Moving forward I will always call AirWorks first because I trust them.

Great sales tactics on their end if you are evaluating them from a business standpoint. Lots of AI interface and lack of personal human approach to business. I had an issue with my furnace. They came out and diagnosed it, and did the repair that day. Days later when I went to use it, same issue. They came back out and diagnosed two other issues, no mention of why we don't think that those things weren't present the first visit. So I paid for first and second visit. I think I should have been refunded the first visit since clearly that service didn't fix the job. Oh and the best is they already started trying to up sell me a whole new system...they installed mine 10 years ago. They were better 10 years ago.

I then called Sherlock and that turned out to be a great decision, because they not only quickly found the leak (under the house), but also resolved the problem! I was able to get a quick next day appointment with Sherlock, Ron came out and I'm telling you he found the leak in record time, a true specialist! He then clearly explained some options for resolving the problem and mentioned their company also fixes leak issues. I decided to hire them again to stop the leak and do some pipe rerouting work. The second appointment was also quickly scheduled, and this time Ron brought his partner Amit for the resolution work. Both Ron and Amit and very knowledgeable and professional, they both demonstrated strong problem solving skills and they work very well together...that in itself was a nice thing to see! Both Ron and Amit provide ideas for solutions that will have minimal damage and be cost effective, which made where to reroute the water line a less stressful decision for me. Like I mentioned above, a major advantage in going with Sherlock is they not only identify the leak source, but they also fix problem. They are skilled and equipped to deal with anything from start to finish, which is very efficient and ideal for the client. Overall my experience with Sherlock was totally great, they identified and solved my problem very professionally, and saved me from a lot of additional stress and cost. Based on my experience working with Ron and Amit, I highly recommend Sherlock for leak detection and resolution and would not hesitate to refer them to family and friends. If you suspect or know you have a pipe leak, save your time and money and just call Sherlock and they will get it done for you! A BIG THANK YOU to Ron and Amit for the outstanding work and service they provided...very highly appreciated, thanks a lot guys!!

We knew something was wrong and Amit came by the next day for an inspection. He took his time to identify the problem - ended up being a slab leak - and gave us options on how to fix it. The next day, he came by to re-route our piping and I have never seen a service technician care as much as he did. Not only was he knowledgeable in what he was doing, he did it with as minimal damage as possible to the home. He went above and beyond to minimize opening up holes in the drywall and making sure everything was functioning properly at the end. He reset our water pressure in the kitchen and the shower upstairs and cleaned up after all the work was done. He treated our home as if it were his own and I cannot be more grateful for that. He also did his best to save us from spending more money on possible restoration if we had to open up the walls and the floors. He was also patient with answering all of my questions and even explained what he was doing. I cannot praise Amit and his service enough. If you have a leak, this is the place you want to call to make sure it gets done right. As a bonus, we also had our property insurance inspection right after Amit was done and both the inspectors were gobsmacked and impressed by Amit's work and lack of home destruction. They have seen so many properties and they didn't think a repair was done because they didn't see a million holes in the walls. I made sure they knew it was Sherlock Leak who did the job. 1000% would recommend.
