For the first time I realize I had been hearing a fair amount of outside noise (which I'd apparently gotten used to), because these windows/doors are soundproof; now I don't hear anything at all from outside! And even better, the windows are easy to open, and my sliding glass doors actually slide well in the track, and are not shaking and drafty when it's windy outside -- major improvements from my old, builder-grade, 20+ year-old windows/sliding door. Further, the service crew was excellent -- careful, kind, professional, efficient, and they cleaned up everything afterwards. Roger, the foreman, has been doing this work for almost 30 years, and Jose, who single-handedly carried in/out the windows/doors, has been doing this work for 10+ years. I didn't get the name of the quiet third service person who was mostly outside and on the ladders, also very efficient. fyi, they did mention that working on the 4th floor of our condos from ladders was a bit more challenging as the original builder-grade windows had been made to fit by being packed/taped in place from the outside, which necessitated them having to actually break some of the glass to be able to pull the old windows out. My Wife and I looked it over and realized that there was a discrepancy in how long the warranty is. One part of the contract (which was clearly created by him) stated that they would provide a 12-year warranty for their work. Another part of the contract (which was probably created by an attorney) stated that they would provide an 8-year warranty for their work as well. When he arrived I asked him about the discrepancy in the contract and he said that the contract was done by his lawyer. I asked him if he could update the contract to reflect the correct warranty and he got upset because I questioned him about it. He literally stormed out the house after I asked him to do this. As he was leaving I yelled out for him to make the updates and as soon as I receive it I will scan it back to him. He brushed me off and kept going. I haven't heard from him since! I gave him 24-hours before calling him but to no avail. I called him a couple more times and even texted him letting him know I was still waiting on him to return my phone call. Still NOTHING. Take this as a warning. READ THE FINE PRINT IN YOUR CONTRACT!
