Not only that, but everytime we are here we are in the waiting room for 2-4 hours. Then when we finally get a room, we are still in there for hours. It's like the nurses and doctors are discriminating my friend from being a teen mom. The care is absolutely awful, they don't listen when something is really wrong. They also take a tremendous amount of time to do anything.

They also had extra soon to be parent educational courses for free. while we were going here they changed their women's health location to a nicer newer location, though the old one was also pretty nice really. Overall everything is pretty clear and spacious and its a nice place. The hospital is on the older side but all the side buildings are very new and give good service.

Want to say 15 mins is the longest I've ever waited. The doctor I see is Heather Gigon; she is amazing. You can tell she has a caring heart, and enjoys what she does. You can also tell she listens to you, and remembers some of the thing you say. Example: one appointment I went to, hadn't seen her in about 6 months. She asked me how I did on the 5K. Now how many doctors are actually going to keep up with something as small and trivial as a 5K?

She was told she was being admitted due to a severe infection. they moved her from one room to another in the ER Department, then after 1 more day, sent her back to the nursing home without any treatment except for a "dose" of Antibiotics and a "hope you get better soon" type of deal and they released her based on the 2.3 seconds the "doctor" (not even sure he's legit licensed to practice medicine), saw her and said she was "good enough to go back" despite the fact her blood work, and lab test results were still pending and hadn't been reported back to the nurses. Along with the fact they gave her antibiotics she is allergic to and of course said "you'll be fine" Hands down WORST hospital and staff I've ever had the unpleasantness of dealing with.

I've never been to a better Hospital - it was very clean despite lots of construction going on; the nurses were absolutely top notch; the health care team of PA'S, case workers, aides, and various directors were exceptionally professional, responsive, informative, and friendly. We had an excellent experience, and I'm so glad we didn't go to one of the chaotic, understaffed and overcrowded Syracuse hospitals. So worth the extra drive time. They do the bare minimum to help get patients better. If they truly cared, they would provide more thorough care. I do understand people have the right to appeal a discharge but why would they stay any longer when the care is shitty as hell to begin with. They overwork the aides and pile so much on them. More than than what they should be doing. Twice now you have caused my mom to be in critical condition for the lack of proper care. DO BETTER CMH. Want to know why security is so tight at this hospital? It's because of the pathetic and lack of…read moretimely care you receive and then pay through the soul for. My wife has Dementia/Alzheimer's. It's all in her records. Everything my wife has is documented through the Upstate system. I had an ambulance bring my wife in on 6/20/2026 because she was indicating she was in pain. I had already heard the nightmares of walking in to the ER and thought coming by ambulance would be more attentive to my wife's situation and for that part, I was right. While checking my wife in, I indicated numerous times that my wife has Dementia/Alzheimer's and cannot be left alone because she would be confused and frightened. What did they do? They put her into a room with FOUR(4) other patients with nothing but a thin curtain separating everyone and left her alone. I had a feeling that they left her alone and I was right and when I pressured them, they let me go sit with her. For the next 10 hours, I could not believe what my wife and I had to experience. Insane waiting times for everything. Hearing the other three patients problems and resolves. Hearing the other patients in pain. Hearing the other patients on their phones. Hearing what the other patients were playing on their phones to kill the egregious wait times. The loudness. The banging of walls and furniture being dragged from one place to another. Every sound that was to be heard left my wife thinking it something to do with her and the whole of it all was just blowing her mind. There was bits and pieces of medical trash on the floor everywhere. We were right outside the nursing station and it sounded more like a bar because the profanity and defamed talk about other patients left me completely in shock. After many, many hours of waiting my wife was finally getting tested. Bloodwork, CT scans, EKG scans, X-rays. When all was said and done, I reminded the nurse Darwin twice to please make sure to remove all the electrode connectors before discharging her to go home. Guess what I found when I got my wife home home? A body full of electrodes and tapings that were never removed, leaving me to have to do it myself. I will say that the staff and doctors were polite and courteous to our faces, albeit the experience as a whole was more like something out of a third world country. The outrageous prices and costs that come after this woeful experience does not justify anything whatsoever and that's why security is so tight in these places. Once you see the bill, you'll want to go in there and take things into your own hands. YOU are not getting what you pay so much money for out of your hard earned paychecks and your Gestapo styled taxes that are stolen from you. When the prices paid matches the experience occurred, then we will have nothing to gripe about. I'm embarrassed to say that I was born in this building when it was under the Community General Hospital flagship. Something has to give to justify the ways and means. I never thought I would say to stay away from all these hospitals unless it's absolutely necessary...but yes, stay away.
