There is a lot of large equipment, but not a whole lot of variety or imagination in the different interactive functions. Reeves Park's playground (Phoenixville), Smith Memorial Playground (Fairmount Park), Freedom Playground (Haverford), and Aston Twp's new playground all have really imaginitive stuff, and just as large of an expanse (if not larger). I also have to give props to the Reeves Park and Freedom playgrounds for being fenced in (Smith is, but it's so big, the fence is not as containing as it could be). Kids Dream is not fenced, unfortunately, because it is a layer of safety I always appreciate, for young kids who run, and also just to keep out wandering dogs (the ones on a long leash whose caretakers aren't paying attention) or to dissuade sketchy people from hanging around (sorry but they're everywhere). There is a nearby walking trail, and it's also adjacent to township offices (shared parking lot). I do have to comment that there was a bit of litter generally around, which is never okay for a kids' playground. Also, this playground is pretty crowded. Parents seemed adequately considerate, but honestly, all the abovementioned playgrounds had a better vibe to me. Maybe because this place was built up by my recommendation and the reviews, but it wasn't as great as my expectations (and comparative experiences).

On my visit while traveling, I saw people cooling off in the water, a picnic, walkers and runners, zoo goers, admirers of beauty in the rose garden, and more. It's nice to have such a great green space within an urban area. As a walker, it has nice paths that made it convenient to get my steps in while also seeing what Delaware has to offer!

Attended the Bellevue concert summer series. Most performances are on Thursday nights or Sunday…read morenights. Parking within the park was easy as there were people guiding us where to go. Although it was very crowded, there was plenty of room for everyone so it didn't feel overly crowded. There were food trucks and beer tents set up for patrons! A 50/50 was also going on! A really great night in the park!

It's also very beautiful and has lots of green. The only thing I'm not a fan of is that I currently do live in Delaware, but my license plate is from out of State so I still have to pay out-of-state license fee for the parking. Maybe they will soon change it so that they will take bills as proof of Delaware resident as well.

Next to the library and includes the very well maintained Piedmont baseball fields. They have a nice paved walking trail and the playground is used frequently. The parking lot is on Old Lancaster Pike. Very close to House of William and Merry, Letties, Wawa, Chef's Haven, George's Seafood, Dunkin Donuts, Two Cousins pizza, and Prima pizza. So there are plenty of places to eat near here and many other businesses in the area.

Anyway, a head clearing hike / walk was necessary the other day and my sister recommended the park as a place that could accommodate that. I have to say, it's a great place. The park is fairy extensive and, you quickly get the feel that you are in a very rural area even though you are in a densely populated college town. It was a gorgeous morning Wednesday when I walked the Pomeroy trail which is about three and a half miles round trip from where I parked my car. There were a few runners out, along with some dog walkers and the occasional deer. Overall it was peaceful and quiet. If you happen to be in the area and need a respite, definitely check this place out!

None of the hikes in the park are very long, but there are plenty of trails on all trails that help you to link existing trails together! This time of year is the best for hiking because it's still pretty cool and everything is green and lush!

It had rained the night before so the trails were a little muddy and the wet leaves made things slippery so I stuck to the paved trail. One trailhead has restrooms and picnic tables. They allow bow and arrow deer hunting season but it is clearly marked. A family of deer crossed my path right in front of me. You can see one deer jumping across the path in one picture. The mom and baby crossed in front of me and I could hear rustling in the woods so I waited patiently for the dad to appear. Very peaceful. When the trails are not muddy, make sure you explore off on them. This is part of the Delaware Greenway system - make sure you check out all the other paths.

Several baseball diamonds, concession stand and also has a large playground area. There's a walking / jogging path that spans the perimeter of the park made from shredded tires. Walking on it feels kind of like being on a trampoline. Last but not least Harmony Park is the host of the local West Grove Seasonal Farmers Market every Thursday 2pm to 6pm. According to the sign I read, at all of the baked goods, canned goods, eggs, flowers, and crafts are produced and made by the farms and people who are selling them. Nothing is "brought in" or resold from another source. Very nice place to take the family.
