No idea what all the other idiots are talking about. I went to school for 4 years in San Diego and know Mexican food. This is as authentic as it gets. Maybe the other idiots who wrote reviews are used to Midwestern Mexican food which involves lettuce and other crap, but this is definitely not Midwestern Mexican, it's real authentic mexican. Prices are a tad bit higher than jimador, but the quality far supercedes it. Just take a look at your beans rice and meat at El jimador and then try it at cancun. It is a world of difference. Get their surf and turf burrito, absolutely delicious. If you want crap food, go with El jimador, if you want even more crappier food go to taco bell. read more

Food is outstanding. I'm from SoCal and know mexican food, this is the best in town. It's a small operation and service isn't fast. But it's worth the wait. Always clean and reasonable prices. If you don't see what you want or how you want it on the menu, all you have to do is ask. The owner will bend over backwards to hook you up. This is the only place where I get my fix. Surf & Turf burrito is on point! I have had 10 meals here since this posting and still super impressed. Get to know the owner and manager. They will treat you like family. read more

Listen!!! I can't believe this spot is even here!!! My husband and I are hooked! On everything it was worth every single penny! How are other Mexican spots even open?! My husband is from California and he said this was too crazy good! Yo I had flautas (the starter with a side of tequila bbq sauce and sour cream) and I had a chicken chimichanga *the pic on the previous review made me wanna try* and my husband had the carne asada burrito no rice extra meat! And we got queso and guacamole(LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHING SO REAL! Not like other spots where it tastes like it could've been store bought) they made sure our chips were hot and we got the fried cheesecake and ice cream since we right up the street !!! All of it was mouth watering! We've been here for 2 years only one left and especially since Covid this will be our take out spot! Everything looked so good that I didn't snap a pic but this spot is legit asf. It's tucked away I never would've known something so good would be there ! The establishment has an issue with the air conditioner. It's hot outside and hot inside as well. The taco meat had WAY too much seasoning in it. It was OKAY. This is the best Mexican place around fort Leonard wood. I'm from Los Angeles and I was hunting for good Mexican food and after trying multiple spots i would have to say this is the winner. Surf & turf steak & shrimp burrito is a must (not on the menu), not to mention their new torta sandwich!!! If I could give it a half a star I would, only because my wife got some free Mexican candy when we paid. We just came from Fort Campbell where for the most part, the Mexican food is pretty close to California Mexican food. So we came here on a Sunday about two weeks ago and even the salsa had too much salt. My brocheta chicken was so freaking salty, the beans seemed to come straight from the can, the rice tasted and probably from Uncle Beans microwave packet. My daughters ground meat had a funky flavor, the only thing that seemed decent was my wife's al pastor tacos, however I did not try them to know, this is according to her. If you like real Mexican Food, save your money please, now I need to find a real authentic mexican restaurant around here. read more

I had heard about the California Burrito from my fiance and so we went in together to get one. It was big enough to share and very tasty, with steak and french fries in it (you'd think that would be weird but it was good!). That was only $10 and fed both of us. The salsa was also very tasty. It was kind of silly that the waitress was from the area and didn't speak Spanish. Since I speak Spanish, I was expecting to have to use Spanish over there but I didn't really have to at all. We gave our compliments to the chef who was a really young kid who didn't speak English. I thought it was a fun experience and had a great overall atmosphere. read more

The food was ok. The customer service from the young man at the register was good. I ordered 3 beef rolled tacos,I received 3 ground beef soft tacos. It was too late to turn back around to get what I really wanted,ehh. The tacos did have a homey flavor ,always a good sign . Beans were good not canned nor pasty flavor, like the other Mexican restaraunts around here.The Mexican rice was still a little uncle Ben flavor for me. This place did not live up to its 4.5 star review. We travel a lot and love hitting all of the tasty Mexican restaurants recommended on Yelp. My husband got the warrior burrito and the chorizo while it was good, overpowered it. I played it safe and went for the steak quesadilla. The steak was not very tasty and to be honest it looked like something I cooked at home not the the traditional Mexican restaurant appearance. The salsa had a strong black pepper flavoring. I love black pepper but it really has no place in good salsa. There were two things I can say were really good, the guacamole dip was fresh and tasty and the side of rice was pretty good as well. Overall, I would not return nor would I recommend it to my friends. read more
