Cancan Mexican Grill is a good choice for Mexican food in Bonifay, Florida. It is also not far off of Interstate 10 if you are traveling on the highway and want a good option not far off of the Interstate to grab a meal. I will say that on the Sunday that I was here, it was busy, but the service was friendly and consistent and added to an overall pleasant dining experience. The menu is pretty much what you would expect. Not a bad thing. I went with a burrito and it was pretty good. The ambiance was pleasant and it had an upbeat vibe. All in all, not a bad lunch. Considering that it is in a small town with few dining options, I will go with four stars as my rating overall.

Was in town for the night and decided to go here. Margarita's and food were excellent. Definitely recommend.

This place is the definition of a hidden gem!!!! In the little tiny town of Bonifay this Mexican restaurant will blow your mind. Best of literally any Mexican fish you have ever had. Seriously mind blowing. Cannot give it enough stars

Not many foodie food choices around here, that's for sure. And if I weren't so very disappointed with the veggie fajitas, I'd likely have given them a four. So the place is fun and festive and shows lots of promise. There's cold beers on draft. Niiice. Chips and salsas are decent enough as was the picante salsa you'll have to ask for. Chorizo queso was okay. Tamal was pretty good. ...but the veggie fajitas or err onion ones were ridiculous. Was basically was a pile of onions and about a 1/6th a small green pepper, 1/4th of a tomato, and maybe two mushrooms sliced up, maybe. ...at least it came with some rice and beans and was able to fill up. I don't know, was pretty weak next to the other places I've ordered this up at. I'd skip any veggie options here. Was redirected by the waitress when I asked about it, which was pretty smart of her.

The food and service was excellent! We came in tonight since passing through for the night. The taste of the shrimp fajitas was delicious. The cheese and beef dip also! My husband had the carne asada tacos and another very yummy option. The price point was super affordable. I will come back for sure next time in town!

I was actually quite surprised when I stopped in on the way home from Alabama. the food was good and the service was great! If you are in the area it is definitely worth a try! I recommend the Adobo Chicken!

I would recommend this place if you are driving through Bonifay, there isn't much else to eat there. We stopped by and the building was very clean and had nice decor we waited about 30 seconds until we were seated and as soon as we were seated our waiter came and took our drink orders and another young man brought us our chips and salsa. The chips were great the salsa was ok nothing fancy mostly tomato. My friend drank all of his sweet tea it took a little while to get a refill. We ordered off of the lunch menu and I got a chicken quesadilla with the side salad. The tomatoes were very fresh and my friend got the chicken chimichanga with grilled chicken instead of shredded. Everything was hot and seasoned nice. Not soggy plenty of cheese sauce also great prices for the portions you receive we both had leftovers. It only cost $20 for us to eat there

Mexican restaurant. Ariba Mexican food. The choice in Bonifay for restaurants is not many. However, it is better than the next town Chipley. Cancun Mexican Restaurant offer drink and local Mexican food. The avocado dip is great to go with chip. The pre-item are the chip and spicy salsa. Eat as many as you want. After a day of work in long hour, it is good to grab a drink and food here. The atmosphere here is great with Mexican music. At lease showing this small town is alive. I have order the Sirlion steak and grill shrimps. The have two side but I use it for double rice. The shrimp is grilled and marinated. Overall the service is good and we like it. The price is reasonable according to the items they have serve. They have similar restaurant in Chipley too. This is the only two store that they have in this area.

I had the brisket tacos, and the flavor combinations were just bad. The lime did not work with the dish at all either. The dip sampler was unbelievable. The elote was a cup of mayo with corn dumped on top. They could not even be bothered to mix it together or add ANY seasoning. It was a complete joke. The burrito was okay, but it probably should not have had guacamole in it. Once again, the flavors just did not work well together. Speaking of the guacamole, the chips were so paper thin they could not even hold up to scooping it. Again, mid. The service was disappointing too. There were no food runners, so our food was barely warm by the time it reached the table. Our server said no to two easy requests that would have added more to the bill. He had too many tables as well. The restaurant itself was clean and looked nice, and the prices were reasonable. In ending, the salsa was weak, and that was the first sign this meal was going to be disappointing. Needless to say, I would not come back even if the meal were free, and that says everything.

To our surprise, the staff was incredibly accommodating. The patio was full, but they were able to seat our entire group in a private dining room. It ended up being even better than we expected--quiet, comfortable, and perfect for a large family gathering. Our server did an outstanding job throughout the evening. Managing a table of 14 people is no easy task, but he was attentive, friendly, and kept everything running smoothly from start to finish. We started with three orders of the tableside guacamole, and it was a huge hit. Watching the server prepare it fresh right at our table made the experience even more enjoyable. The food was excellent all around. I ordered the Brisket tacos, which were flavorful and delicious. Our son had the chicken enchiladas, and they looked amazing and tasted just as good. My husband ordered the carne asada plate, and the steak was incredibly tender, juicy, and full of flavor. For dessert, we ordered four of the apple pies with a scoop of vinalla ice cream served on sizzling skillets, and they were absolutely outstanding. The sizzling presentation was fun, and the warm apple pie was the perfect ending to a fantastic meal. From the attentive service to the delicious food and the unexpected private dining room, Cantina Laredo made dining with a large group easy and enjoyable. We had a wonderful experience and will definitely be back the next time we're vacationing in the Sandestin area. Highly recommend! On this occasion the quality and quantity didn't fit the price and was very insulting! I ordered Mahi Mahi with the asparagus and rice. It was the size of a child's meal for starters. The Mahi Mahi was VERY dry. I did tell my server but nothing was done, only an apology. I was also surprised at the tiny size of the asparagus and small portion of rice. I didn't push it because my husband gets embarrassed and will eat a disappointing meal and never complain. This was ridiculous however. His meal was also pretty small for the cost. Maybe it's changed since Covid rocked our lives in so many negative ways that restaurants are cutting back, but to be dried out fish isn't acceptable. I wish our server would have at least offered to replace it. I was just as mad at myself for not asking for a new dish or my money back. Our server was nice. But that didn't make anything better with my meal! Next time I won't be swayed by my dining partners desire to not complain. He also gave the server a VERY generous tip. He's just a really good guy that way but also gets taken advantage of in these type situations! I feel Cantina Laredo should give us a do-over.

We saw a billboard off the highway for this restaurant, so we decided to give it a try. Location is a little unsuspecting because it is dark and next to a dollar tree, but the interior is quite large and well decorated. We were seated right away, and the server gave us chips and salsa immediately. The chips were nice and fresh and warm, and the salsa was fantastic. ServerO is great. He gave us good recommendations and said that everything that has a hat on the menu is usually their most popular. As for the food, we ordered the fajitas mix. I had chicken, beef, and shrimp for two. It is about $27 and came with a lot of food. Definitely not for two, maybe even three. The rice plate came with rice, beans, avocado, as well as two sets of tortillas, which is about three each. It came in a serving plate and was overall pretty good. Would recommend getting again for the amount of food and the taste. We also ordered the torta. Unfortunately, for this one, it wasn't that great. The torta is just a sandwich, pretty much, with whatever kind of meat you have inside and some tomatoes and lettuce. We got the carne asada, but it was super dry and chewy. Would not recommend the carne asada and the torta. This one was about $13, I believe. In total, it was around 55 with tax and tip for a party of 4, so it was actually pretty well priced. We left pretty full, so I would recommend, but wouldn't say it was the best food we have had but good enough for us on the road drive back.

I tried asking what region of Mexico were the dishes inspired by. In reviewing the menu I was confused, there was a very small selection of traditional Mexican dishes. Where was the Chili Verde, Carnitas, Birria, Pozole, Lengua, Chili Colorado, Tamales, Tostadas, just to name a few. I ended up getting the Chicken enchiladas with green sauce, cheese, cream and fresh onions and beans on the side. Needless to say I was extremely disappointed. My order came out and the enchiladas were actually Cold!!! Sent it back, when the order came back out they were hot. They had very little green sauce, lightly sprinkled cheese on top, none inside and cream and onion also on top. The chicken was shredded with a red color. I have to say that, because there was no sauce in the meat it was dry and I felt, it did not have flavor. The beans were actually not bad, I ate those with the chips. There were several groups of people in the restaurant enjoying themselves and appeared to be enjoying the food as well. However I feel if you want traditional Mexican food, like you would get in Baja region this is definitely NOT the place to go.
