Lunch with friends here today. Parking is tight in this busy strip center but you will find a spot nearby. After moving from our original table which was right under the speakers and they did not reduce the volume, we found a table where we could have a conversation and catch up on everything while enjoying a meal together. I had the Roast Pork with Morros, aka Lechon Asado con Black beans mixed with rice. My roast pork was very good, moist with plenty of flavor. I found the beans and rice dry but my "gringo" doctoring with some vinegar brought them up to acceptable. Good catching up with friends who enjoyed their dishes this afternoon.

I had bookmarked this restaurant a while ago and finally got to try it for lunch. I made a reservation using Open Table and it was easy to park right in front of the restaurant around 1pm on a Wednesday. We had the restaurant mostly to ourselves, so we picked a table....soon after, they started playing music over the speakers and we had to move to a more quiet table. We had lunch with Roy and Julie...they had been here before. My husband and I picked from their lunch specials which were very fairly priced. I got the lamb shank which was very moist, well seasoned and big. My husband got the cerdo asado which was extremely salty...to the point that he could only eat less than half and had to get a box to bring home. The sides were good...I got the congri and ripe plantains and both were very well made. My husband's home fries were chunky and just average. Service was average, not overly attentive nor friendly, but not bad.

Fried yucca

Pan con lechon, garbanzos with chorizo and fried yucca were super delicious. I hope to return soon and try other dishes.

A friend of mine picked this place. Some body from ware he worked recommend this place to him for lunch. He had the paella, and he really enjoyed it, so he talked us into going there for dinner. It turned out to be an excellent choice. We started with the house bread and the fried yucca. Both were fantastic. Then for diner we we had a few different dishes. My fried and I had zarzuela (seafood stew). Its kind of like paella but without any rice. My daughter and my friend's wife had the paella for two. They got it without the chorizo sausage. It also came with a half liter a sangria. My daughter did not drink that, but my wife did. My wife had Paella De Mar. Its paella with seafood only. I got to try it and it was very good. Actually everything was very good, especially the service. I'm looking forward to eating here again.

We had dinner here at 6:15pm on a Friday night and it was totally empty until 6:45pm. Not sure why because the food was amazing, the service was great & the atmosphere was really really nice. They have some common tapas items and a bunch of not so common tapas items and some really interesting entrees to try in the future. The portions for tapas are a bit larger than other places. I thought the pricing was really really good. The Sangria was delicious. This is one of the better tapas restaurants I've been to in SFL. We had some delicious bread done with garlic & olive oil, Patatas Bravas, chrizo & salchichon, stuffed Piquillo peppers with spinach, goat cheese, almonds & raisins, bruschetta with roasted peppers, artichokes & goat cheese & cod croquettes. Everything was so delicious.

Ordered a few of the tapas garbanzos con chorizo , gambas Al ajillo ect.. with a bottle of red wine found everything to be exquisite. Service was top-notch. The restaurant is well decorated where you can have a conversation and no one can hear you.

This is a must go!! Everything we ordered was delicious, absolutely no complaints! The service was great and the tapas were the best I have ever had!! The sangria was also amazing and served in a pitcher! If you are in fort lauderdale, you must go here! You will be transported to spain!

Let's start by saying the place looks quite original. The negative points are for the following: Service was not great. Lady looked quite busy, what I understand, but a smile takes zero time specially if diapers are being nice. Food took forever, what was understandable since they cook the paella fresh. At some point looks like the place was on fire with so much smoke inside. So, in summary not a great experience. The paella grega was really good according to my husband and the vegetarian was ok for me.

Arrived for an early date night dinner around 6:15pm. FYI…read more- It is valet only...no charge gratuities only...at the end of your visit they hand you your keys and your walk to your own car...at least that is how it went for us. We had open table reservations so we were seated right away...the hostess was was very friendly as were our servers...we started with one guy but then we had another lady soon after. We ordered drinks to start...Pinot grigio for me and Corona for the hubby. We looked over the menu a bit and started off with 3 shareables..the eggplant with honey, shisito peppers and octopus gallega...The eggplant with honey was an interesting dish (in a good way) and very tasty...they peppers were good as well but my husband wasn't a fan of the octopus gallega. For the 2nd round, we ordered another round of drinks and then the pan con tumaca, manchego croquettes and octopus in garlic sauce. I loved the toast with tomato "jam" as well as the manchego croquettes...I would re-order both of these. My husband wasn't a fan of the octopus in garlic sauce as he felt it was a bit too salty. He also ordered another dish, the seafood salpicon and this dish he really loved! For dessert we opted for the crema catalana...similar to a creme brulee...it was good...I also had a latte which was a nice accomplishment to the dessert. After dinner we headed to their Hidden Speakeasy (behind the pantro door). In there we each had another drink to end the evening. They do have a food menu in there which was different from the restaurant. It would be fun to just come with a group of friends and chill for a while. All in all, a tasty meal and a fun date night!

We were able to try lots of dishes (it's tapas of course) and each one was delicious! My favorite was the oxtail and octupus. We were also served sangria--both white and red--which were delish! Just caution that it's pretty much valet parking and when a photographer comes around, expect them to try to sell you the photo they took, printed and framed for you. You can kindly decline! I would definitely want to come back for a date night or even a couples night out. It has the perfect ambiance for it.

Potato street hash was amazingly good, and flavored with a great combo of spices and unusual veggies. To test out the basic diner aspect we also got a BLT which was also very good. The only minor hiccups food wise were no coffee for brunch and no bread other than sourdough for the sandwich 4 star service: service was good and friendly. There was only one staffer on duty for the bar and all tables. Even though it was fairly empty, he seemed stretched a little thinly. 5 star ambience: the old one story Thai place that previously occupied the space has been replaced by a second story addition. The interior has been completely reworked and feels modern and slick. Upstairs an outdoor seating area is open to Wilton Drive below.

He never made us feel rushed or pressured to order anything. He frequently refilled our waters (I hate when servers don't do this) and was extremely attentive. Very friendly and would love to dine here again with him as our server. Goat cheese croquettes were amazing. served warm with the guava sauce is to die for!! Oysters were so so fresh and tasted spectacular. Crab cakes were crispy and tasty. Loved the sauce. Octopus was grilled to perfection- super tender and not chewy. The white beans were a great side and very fresh. Mussels were a little heavy because of the sauce and bread but it tasted very good. Great tapa for sharing. Honestly none of the food disappointed and all tasted great. Would 100% eat here again. Honorable mention was the live music. It was a gentleman with a captain hat on and wow he was great. Not too loud and overbearing but just enough to where it was very enjoyable. Set a great vibe and had very good song selections. A well deserved 5/5!!

I'd recommend trying the baked oysters and Mac and cheese (if you like the truffle flavor). Their waffles were also good and fluffy but the chicken portion seemed a bit small for the price of the dish. They have a large seating area inside and the server was nice and attentive. One thing to note is the parking situation in that plaza is tricky. It seems like one side offers free parking while the other is pay to park so double check the signs.

But when my partner asked me what I really felt like I said Casa Playa or Chimney house. So we raced to get there at 9:30ish starving. Good thing we asked the kind manager first if they would still serve us food since they closed at 10.. He was kind enough to tell us they would serve us no problem. Glad we asked as the male server who who wasn't even serving us) was quick to walk by when he saw us, not to greet us but to tell us the kitchen was closed. Then seemed annoyed when the manager confirmed we were ok. Thanks buddy. Thankfully we were being served by the kind male bartender with the female server being sweet enough to bring us menus We made sure to have our order in as soon as asked. The male bartender was great. Friendly and made us feel welcome. I have been to this restaurant many times because I love Chimney house and these are the same owners. So I was truly grateful that the bartender, female server and manager were so kind. The owners do a great job as hiring such great team members. Because of the managers hospitality we asked about future events and have already planned to stay at an air bnb across the street for the upcoming soccer games. Small acts of kindness go a long way for keeping locals happy with your business. The food is always consistently amazing. The ambience is just right with the perfect lighting, set up and views. I agreed that sounded like an excellent idea. Patio Tapas and Beer was supposed to have a good happy hour 5pm-7pm so we went with that. Its located in a tough spot to get a parking spot in South Mizner area, but we got lucky and landed a spot right by the front door. They had just moved to this new location from nearby a few months ago. It still felt kinda new inside in a good way. There wasn't many people there when we arrived. We were able to easily get a couple spots at their nice oaken bar. There were a handful of friendly staff there that were quick with some wine and some of their happy hour Montaditos. We tried the sangria as well which they had a large container of on the bar. We tried the potatoes, duck breast, shrimp, and Jamon iberico and manchego. Everything was darn good, the iberico possibly the best. Oh, and the Spanish omelet was a nice bite as well. It was a nice happy hour; much better than going to the gym. I think they're all pretty good but our favorites are the piquillo relleno--a small, whole stuffed red pepper with goat cheese, the classic pan con tomate, churrasco, and cordero estofado. I would say those are the most flavorful ones and on our regular rotation. They also have an almond cake we always order that is imported from Spain. Served warm and à la mode, it has a little crusty edge and a very moist, dense crumb. Not too sweet. Sometimes they serve it drizzled with chocolate and I prefer it without.
