    Coldest beer in town.
    Chuck M.

It was time for our Candlelite fix, it had been a while since we had dined at one of our favorite restaurants. We had finished up some errands in Arlington and we were hungry. One of the best things we LOVE about Candlelite is their huge menu that has all sorts of delectable entrees. Also, another one of the main draws is their COLD frozen mugs of beer and the addictive guacamole dip. It's the first thing I dig into after getting seated and ordering schoolers of beer. This evening, my wife decided to order the crispy chicken sandwich and fries. I opted for the Mexican steak, a rare top sirloin, refried beans, and rice. I've been ordering it for decades. Our server took very good care of us while we were there. The beer was cold, the guac was awesome and our entrees were delicious. My wife mentioned her crispy chicken sandwich was one of the best she'd had in a long time. She said she'd definitely order it again. My sirloin was cooked to perfection rare. Candlelite never lets us down, we love dining at Candlelite.

    Italian steak, mmm mmm good

My favorite there is the Italian steak. The service is always wonderful. The beer is nice and cold and you just can't beat that nice little steak.

My boyfriend and I had the greatest experience at Candlelite for our anniversary! We have the most WONDERFUL waiter named Sam who was so friendly and even offered to take a photos of us. The food came out DELICIOUS and was so filling. The vibes are so intimate and calm and a GREAT place to celebrate anniversaries. I would talk about the cost, but, my boyfriend didn't let me near the check. Absolutely give this place a chance and ASK FOR SAM!!!!

Love this place. My family has been coming here since I was in a high chair. My sister and I still go every chance we get. Had the nicest time today thanks to Wanda. Great staff, great food! Cute little booth with private jukebox playing!

Mushroom Swiss burger and onion rings

So heard about this place from some of my co-workers. They said the food was really good. Decided to try ot out because a BBQ joint we went to was running out of BBQ when we arrived. Walked into the location and it's nice but very dim inside. Waiter came by and took my co-workers order and my order. Co-worker ordered the surf and turf which is steak and shrimp and I ordered the mushrooms burger with onion rings. I was hesitant about the onion rings because I hate the batter dipped ones I like the crunchy ones but ordered them anyways. Ordered my burger medium well and Co worker order his steak medium. Here is where it takes a turn for the not so good. It took forever to get food and there wasn't alot of people. When we finally got the food my burger was well done and co-workers steak was on the well done side no pink. Wasn't gonna send it back because we had been waiting for a while so it would have taken that much longer. On the plus side the burger tasted very good enough for it being pretty dry, bun was tasty and the burger reminded me of when I was a kid in the military bases and would go to the chow hall and get burgers loved them. Brought back memories of when my dad was station on the bases. Onion rings were great crunch and warm Steak 3 outa 10 just on the fact that it was well done Shrimps ? Outa 10 didn't taste them Burger 4 outa 10 again due to well done Onion rings 5 outa 10 Location is more a 2 1/2 for me but it won't let me put half stars. This is def not the place to come on a lunch break you might maybe call ahead.

The potatoes were typical breakfast potatoes but they were good. For my birthday they let me choose any dessert and the limoncello cake was absolutely perfect. Lemony and tart with creamy frosting, I would go back just for that!! I definitely recommend this place for brunch!

The service was seamless, and the food matched it. The sides came out quickly, and the variety of meats--especially the lamb and sausages--were absolutely delicious. The walnut cream was something different & I recommend you try it, almost a butterscotch/toffee taste with fresh strawberries on the bottom. Service was excellent, Nelson was our main guy & he did a great job. Very attentive, all of the staff was truly wonderful. Easy to make reservations online, we got there a bit early & they seated us right away. Nice ambiance & lots of space to walk between tables/salad bar area. I don't live in Arlington and just recently moved from Dallas to Ft Worth. While looking at properties in Arlington for the day, this looked like a great stop. The reviews were mostly strong and the pictures I could see reminded me of my favorite Dallas steak fix, Bob's Chophouse on Lemmon. It doesn't have that vintage, chic atmosphere sadly, but it is old TX, steakhouse, 80's style. Colby asked if we wanted a menu and I said yes. He brought one for us both. I asked if they had any happy hour specials which is mentioned often in their reviews. He haughtily informed me that, "They don't do happy hour" and then giggled. Yes, giggled, the only other description is snickered. We ordered a Tito's Dirty Martini and Guinness and decided to stay anyway. He served my martini slushee and a good pour on the Guinness. He simply never came back. Everyone else had nuts and their orders taken. He avoided us as if we had the Bubonic plague. After his pointed non-service, I dropped my credit card, he snatched it and dropped the check. Obviously, I won't be back but I think that was the entire point of his service.

Because it was packed when we arrived, the space was fairly loud. Cheyenne was our server and she did great. She knew the menu well and made some suggestions. We had already read the Yelp reviews and sort of knew what we wanted. Two of us shared: - Margarita rocks - Pan con Tomate - Crispy Pork - Jerk Chicken Paella The Pan con Tomate was amazing. Really cool presentation too. The Crispy Pork was real nice. A bit dry due to making it crispy. Really meaty too. The Jerk Chicken Paella was great. Cheyenne told us the jerk seasoning wasn't very spicy. She was right. I would have liked it spicier though but understand the decision to appeal to a broader section of diners. The socarrat was amazing. They make the paella in a small (8"?) cast iron skillet. It made for a perfect caramelization of the rice (socarrat). The dish had jerk seasoned chicken thighs and vegetables. Yum! I would have loved to have the Coconut Cake. But we were full and it was $22. We'll come back to Cafe Americana and try other dishes and the cake!
