First time here and excited. Lovely atmosphere

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Such a lovely spot. The place feels like you are transported somewhere outside of the U.S. it's really great. Simple and great![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff is lovely. I don't eat meat. This is a hard concept for folks in Dallas because meat was the thing people kept suggesting to me. There are plenty of non meat and pescatarian options but be sure to ask lots of question because meat is included in many of the sides and sometimes meat eaters don't even think about it. All the food we had was good. I had fish. It was delicious. I will always love complimentary chips and salsa. Definitely recommend.

Chicken Fajita Chimichanga with seasoned vegetables and black beans

We had a great time at Abuelo's as we always do. There's something about Abuelo's, it's just not your typical Tex-Mex place to enjoy this type of food. The atmosphere and decor just lets you know that the food and waitstaff is going to different every time you come in. The menu had an insert with a special seasonal menu which my waitress let me know that if you have something you want in mind, just describe it and the chef can probably make it happen! We ordered steak enchiladas, steak fajitas and chicken chimichanga tonight. All of them were generous portions so we took some home of course for tomorrow's lunch. Tonight was a treat and our waitress was wonderful! Arlington Abuelo's you did a wonderful job!

The food was Amazing! Everything was nicely prepared and flavorful. This place has definitely been added to my wife and I's list of places to go when we want something good.

My family and I enjoyed this place so much! From the wonderful food to the wonderful service, it's definitely a place to come back to. The restaurant feels like you're in another country, which I love. The food is also good and affordable, and the portions are large in size. We all loved our food.

On April 5 Easter Sunday at approximately with my family, what was meant to be a bonding kind of Sunday turned into a disaster. First i called this location to make a reservation as it states to do on their website. I was then informed by a waitress that answered it's 18% gratuity which I was ok with as we had a large party. Just for them to tell me, "well it's first come first serve"... which is odd because why have the option online for a reservation if you're not doing that...Anyhow they then call me back and say, "ok we have a table" which was a bit strange too but nonetheless we went. The food was Tex Mex for sure if you're going for delicious food this is not the place to go to it tasted pretty bad and was kind of flavorless. Anyhow, the wait was extremely long. The waitress was informed if we could get some jalapeños. Then, nothing was brought and she was later informed again. Next thing ya know the manager comes out stating that a man in our party was rude to the waitress and did something to offend her. Which none of us that were present saw happen. So he was falsely accused which could be considered defamation of character. I would suggest next time checking the cameras before attacking someone and considering he has been a waiter before in his past he got even more offended by the false accusations. To be honest who wouldn't get upset over being falsely accused? The jalapeños were then brought out when they were no longer needed considering my father had already finished eating. We then went to take a picture because apparently the only thing that was actually good about this restaurant was the look. Next thing you know I see and hear a lot of young male waiters bickering and yelling. As a former officer that has worked with criminals this reminded me of my past job in jail. I tried to understand how is this place even running letting waiters yell at customers I'm not even sure what they were saying as I'm so used to closing out the yelling as I did in my previous job. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I just feel that if you want to go to a drama filled place this is the place for you, and you can be falsely accused which to be honest could be a lawsuit and what a way to ruin people's day.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

This was a Grilled Chicken Salad. Maybe half ounce of chicken and a quarter avocado.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The place is set up nicely! You walk in and music is the perfect volume.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The waitress came in hot and with a terrible attitude...which did get better as time progressed. The food...TERRIBLE HORRIBLE NO GOOD VERY BAD AND DISGUSTING. My husband's salad had maybe one ounce of chicken. My birthday girl got the kids taco and it TASTED HOW DOG FOOD SMELLS. I had to spit it out, my other child spit it out. My poor birthday girl didn't even eat the rest. Just took one bite. A Taco Bell taco is better than that junk. We will never go back! My $10 soup was maybe 8oz and one tablespoon of chicken.

What they called "Grand Fajita Nachos". Worst and most expensive I have ever seen! (wonder what regular nachos look like!)

Me and a friend ordered food to go yesterday evening. I ordered inside the restaurant and stayed to pick it up. It took awhile but that was fine as it was Saturday evening and they were very crowded. After opening everything I saw that one of the hot sauce containers was open and dumped the entire contents in the sack. My friend had nachos & I had enchiladas. My enchiladas were great but the chicken fajita nachos were horrible! It looked like a melted cheese pizza with tiny pieces of diced chicken dumped in a couple places. My friend was angry didn't even eat it and I don't blame her. This was charged as Grand Fajita Nachos at just under $19.00. I called them to asked if they could do something. (expecting they would offer to remake them) I was told no there was nothing they could do. I'll NEVER go to Abuelos again!

We came her for date night and it was super yummy. Arlington has sooooo many Mexican restaurants to choose from but we chose to visit here because it was right off the highway and one of the few places that did not have a wait (even though they had a packed house full of customers). We were seated immediately and the waitress was super friendly. One thing that stood out with this restaurant was that they serve chips and salsa before your meal, and the chips are served with THREE different types of salsas. Yum yum yum!!!! Drinks were also delicious. I recommend the sangria or the El Jeffe. Portions are large so I recommend sharing or prepare to take home some to eat for later. Either way... win win.

Queso diablo and margarita. Happy hour specials
    Becca S.

I was running errands in the area and my work phone started blowing up. It was hot, I was annoyed, and figured I would pop in here to check my phone and try out their happy hour. They only do HH specials in the bar and on the patio, so I took a side booth so I could pull out my phones. As soon as I sat down, I felt better. It is already 100 in Texas and the ac felt so refreshing. It looked like the bartender was running the show and she was on TOP of it. It wasn't super busy yet, but she was taking orders, running food, and keeping everyone in cold beverages. She was also clearing the tables and could have used a hand with that. All the while, she was smiling and hustling. I ordered a margarita and the queso diablo. I didn't read the description of the queso, but I was expecting it to be spicy. It is very mild, the salsa has more kick, but it was tasty. It was like chili con carne, with queso, topped by cholula and some queso fresco. The margarita is a mix but it was balanced well. I was there long enough to ruin my dinner, answer my work obligations, and cool off. It was the perfect little pop in, and I definitely left better than I went in. I haven't eaten at an Abuelos in years, but I will be back. The HH price was $5 for the margarita and $5 for the queso. You really can't beat that.

Absolutely definitely yes! This place was DELICIOUS! I had the fajita chimichanga and wish I could have eaten two (portion was too good to make it feasible). Service was excellent. Think refill before you're halfway through your drink, excellent. I was hoping to find delicious Mexican food and find it, I did. Already looking forward to the next time I can dine here!

I can't believe that I've never before visited Mariano's Hacienda Ranch. I've been missing out on some great Tex-Mex! I knew I was going to have a great meal when I got out of the car and smelled the Mesquite smoke from the grill that Mariano's uses. The food was awesome and delicious. My Margarita was tasty, with a very generous pour of Tequila. The two salsas, traditional and warm chipotle, were fresh, with vibrant flavors of tomatoes, chilies, onions, cilantro. The guacamole was the perfect combination of avacado, lime, salt, cilantro, and onion. Our queso came with dollops of sour cream, guacamole, pico de gallo, and Picadillo ground beef. My lovely Wife had 3 Shrimp en Brochette with a Sour Cream Chicken Enchilada. She was overjoyed with her flavorful Mariano's Hacienda Ranch Tex-Mex dinner! I was so very happy with my delicious Beef Fajitas (they used tender outside skirt steak) with onions and peppers, all grilled over Mesquite coals. The flavors of Mesquite permeated my fajitas with smoky, sweet goodness, while the marinated meat was grilled perfectly over high heat, to yield juicy, seared, melt-in-your-mouth, beef flavor. Service was friendly and professional. Our meal was relatively inexpensive, offering great value for the high quality of the very tasty Tex-Mex cuisine. I have a new favorite Tex-Mex restaurant in Arlington/North Texas. I offer my highest recommendation of Mariano's Hacienda Ranch in Arlington, Texas, at Hwy 360 & Majesty Drive. I can't wait to go back (especially for the Mesquite grilled Tex-Mex meals).

Everything starts with the fire-roasted salsa. That stuff is ridiculous. I'd pour it over a 2x4 and eat it. Smoky, fresh, and addictive. I have to stop myself from filling up on chips before the food arrives. The fajitas are the star of the show. Tender, flavorful, and consistently excellent every single time. This is one of those places where you don't need to study the menu. Just order the fajitas and thank me later. The service is always good too. The staff is friendly, attentive, and keeps everything moving without hovering over your table. If Mariano's ever changes their fajita recipe, I'm prepared to testify before Congress. Until then, this place gets an easy five stars from me.
