Shrimp and beef Nachos! We dug in already! Dixons were plenty and 2 of us had a lot on our plate.

My first visit! I saw a post on FACEBOOK and my bestie and I said we were going. Even though the post was great I still did not expect what I got. GRRREEEAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!! There is a patio that I'm sure would be full of it wasn't so hot. Nice spot!! Now let's get to the food...OOOOOUIUTTTTSTAAAANDIIIIING!!! Huge portions, beautiful presentation and TOP TIER TASTY!!! Definitely gathering a couple of friends and taking them with me!! A staple for sure!! We dug I'm before we could get a good picture! You understand

Beef, chicken, sausage, and shrimp skewers. Plus rice and charro beans. These portions are huge and colorful!

This really is some of the best Mexican food around, and there are lots of great spots to choose from in Arlington. I love Papaya because their produce is always so fresh and crunchy and colorful, which is a big deal to me because I like to have pico de gallo, avocado, lettuce, or something fresh with every bite. No translucent soggy tomatoes, weird avocado, or sad cilantro here! All the veggies are colorful and the limes are fresh. Definitely get the guacamole, whatever you do. The table salsa and guacamole are both top tier. Between Jon and I, we've enjoyed Papaya's enchiladas, street tacos, crunchy tacos, burritos, salad, tortilla soup, soft tacos, fajitas, queso, guacamole, nachos!! Mmm. Those are our usual picks. Oh--they have a really yummy steak and shrimp (Mar y Tierra) dish served on perfectly cooked onions and peppers with the best charro beans ever... okay great, I'm hungry. Full bar. Great margaritas. Really kind waitstaff. Affordable food that's truly so delicious. Cozy and casual space that's festive enough for special occasions. Papaya Mexican Grill is a solid five-stars.

My favorite order... 5 birria tacos with extra cheese, cilantro, & pico. You must try them with their table salsa

The best barría & street tacos . And don't sleep on those drinks... if you're not careful, you'll be Uber'ing home . lol The staff is attentive and most know the regulars orders by heart. Stop by and tell Mario hi !

The food was delicious, the service was very personable and amazing. We also enjoyed the ambience. We went in for lunch and were properly attended to. We will be back! Especially enjoyed the watermelon margarita! They are entered into the Arlington taco contest right now, and we tried El Fortachon tacos. They were amazing and we voted for them! Absolutely delicious.

I've been coming to Papaya Mexican Grill for about 3 years now after being introduced by a good friend, and it never disappoints. The staff is always friendly and attentive, and the food tastes truly authentic at a good price!

This gem is a couple miles from Decorators Warehouse, so if you aren't from there you might not know about it. I mentioned Decorators Warehouse, because you NEED to eat good before you go shopping. What drew us in was the bbq pit with a whole log hanging out and smoking. The son-in-law of the bbq master explained that there were two specials going on from the pit: Carna asada or ribs. We decided on Carna asada plate with a side of ribs. The plate came with a smoke potato, guacamole, Charo beans, rice, and tortillas. THIS WAS THE BEST CARNA I've had in the DFW area! It's a seat yourself restaurant and service is very fast. If you aren't in the area, it's worth it to drive out here!

I can't believe I am just now finding this place. I started out with the quesadilla and wasn't a fan but others have said how good they are, could've just been me. I ended up switching to the tacos and OMG if heaven had a taste this would be it. It was cooked to perfection and every bite made me smile. I will be back just to get these cause whew I am in LOVE... lol. Don't wait, come try it and thank me later.

Lived in arlington my whole life and never knew about this place. Great customer service, large portions of protein with their platters, and reasonably priced. My issues were the chips being VERY stale, the barbacoa didn't have much flavor - the corn tortilla for the tacos were stale and chewy not soft, the pastor was surprisingly good and my friend liked her birria tacos but the rice and beans were bland. The plastic goblets the frozen drinks came in just throws off the flavor and temperature of the drinks, but that's a personal preference. Also I felt the frozen drinks didn't have liquor in them and the floater that was added is the liquor that's suppose to be mixed into the frozen drink machine. We went during the evening so the space was dimly lit, air was stuffy, but place is spacious, and felt like an original party bar that hasn't changed in years.

Good service, good food and super friendly staff. We tried the strawberry mango margarita and it was fantastic. For lunch we did street tacos, a chili relleno and an appetizer sampler.

If you don't look hard enough you might miss this place, but it's in a little strip. Small but mighty Mexican restaurant that needs more of a spotlight! Let me start with my margarita which in itself proved that liquor was involved lol. The liquor was floating on top and I had the pleasure of mixing it in :) while drinking my drank I had the guacamole and cheese dip the serving size was perfect for sharing without being mad that you had to share ( if you know what I'm saying) . For my meal, I had the Birria tacos and they were so so good! SO MUCH MEAT! I could only eat two of them. Seasoned well and the consome was great, the best I have ever had. I can't wait to go back! I need to slide for a taco Tuesday for sure

Love that they serve chips and salsa! The salsa is spicy which I love. Thoroughly enjoyed our meals and will be coming back. Owner and server is super nice and attentive. The portions are big and you can definitely get two meals out of one. Thank you

Walked in and welcomed by a nice gentleman to find a table of my liking. My waitress greeted me with a smile and a brief description of my favorite items on the menu followed by fresh chips and awesome salsa! I'm not a salsa person, but this one was tasty! My dinner was street tacos, (pastor, chicken, & carnitas),beans. and rice! My plate was hot and delicious! Drink of choice was a frozen mango margarita. Could not leave without dessert of churros with 2 scoops of chocolate ice cream and chocolate drizzle! Customer service was the best and I left full as a tick! Thanks!!! I will be back!

Salmon Benedict was two pieces of filet on oversized English muffin, well prepared with side of potatoes. Crabcake Benedict was served sans muffin. Same side of potatoes. The menu had brunch and lunch options and everything sounded so good it was hard to choose. We ended up sharing the burrata salad with grilled peaches and they split it onto two plates for us. It was SO good! We both got the salmon Benedict and I loved mine. The salmon was cooked perfectly as was the egg and the hollandaise was delish. The potatoes were typical breakfast potatoes but they were good. For my birthday they let me choose any dessert and the limoncello cake was absolutely perfect. Lemony and tart with creamy frosting, I would go back just for that!! I definitely recommend this place for brunch!

It's really just great food, nothing fancy but delicious. I had the lobster roll, I came with coleslaw & fries. I'm not a coleslaw person but it was pretty good. The fries were perfect & they have that good ranch. The lobster roll itself was on Texas toast, buttery toasted goodness with meaty lobster. I'm definitely going to have to go back for this sometime soon, it was $20 for my meal. My friend had chicken strips, no complaints there & we shared a basket of fried pickles. Clean restaurant, fast service, tasty food, & friendly staff. Prices are fair, no concerns with menu options for everyone. Fun, chill place with a lot of fishing decor & photos. There's a reason why this place has been here for so long, great lunch stop!

Shrimp on top was a little chewy, but acceptable. DH had the shrimp po boy and it really could have used four or five more shrimp. More bread than anything. I tasted his fries and they seemed to have been fried in old oil. I love hush puppies, but could only eat a small bite of the one I tried. Again, old frying oil that soaked the entire hush puppies. There are fish photos all over the walls, which are kind of fun to look at. Will be back because we have friends that like their Tuesday special, but overall the food is just OK.
