The manager Blake here is HORRIBLE... the hot water heater went out for more than three days and this guy told us we should be happy that we have a bed to sleep in and at least water. Mind you my company has 13 rooms and is paying over 1,000 a week to stay here until November. While he is at home with hot water chilling. UNACCEPTABLE! Housekeeping is the WORST! When I first checked in they had left towels from the previous guest hanging on the shower... tub hadn't been clean at all. Then I kept smelling something rotten. It was driving me crazy I was pulling everything out. Bc I had candles, frebreze etc and it was over powering that. I found molded food, pepperoni, french fries in the bottom of the trash bin that clearly had been there for Eva... they had just put a bag in the can and didn't even check it. Since I made my bed they decided not to even change my sheets only come once a week. read more

***Update*** After several phone calls with IHG, the hotel righted the wrong. We had booked 2 rooms under 1 reservation. Without notice to me, the hotel changed the reservation to 2 reservations. We canceled before the deadline, but because the reservation had been changed to 2, one of the reservations remained. We were charged a no show charge for that reservation. I called the hotel to inquire about it. They said I just canceled one of the 2 rooms, yet I only had 1 confirmation to cancel to my knowledge. All of my reservations and cancelations were done online. I received no notice that the hotel had split my 1 reservation into 2. Poor management. I have and continue to be in contact with IHG to get this issue resolved. read more

As a frequent traveler, cleanliness is the first thing I notice and can make or break my decision to ever utilize the location again. We've stayed at Candle-woods before & absolutely loved our stay, so we decided to use them again in a different location. This Candlewoods is older and a lot of the amenities are dated & that's okay! But attention to housekeeping details speaks volumes about management. The room had a very sour smell to it, so I checked the AC it was covered in dust, dog hair & dog urine. Inside the AC was food/gum stuck in the coils. The filter had so much dust accumulated on it it was disgusting. The walls & doors had scuff/dirt all along the bottom. I've had absolute zero complaints. The bed is comfortable and the kitchen is fully functional. I opted out of room service for 2-3 weeks And had mine done. They will clean your dishes and rewash anything in the dishwasher. Anytime I needed something it was satisfied promptly. It is a bit of a bummer they don't have free breakfast for guests. read more

Checked twice in day of reservation about things with our 4 rooms, let them know we would arrive after 10pm. Arrived by 1030pm and they had given our rooms away. Customer service did not try to help or offer assistance . No apology. My rooms had already been checked in through app, card had already been charged. I stayed a week. The staff was unfriendly and rude. The fire exit door didn't open and the maintenance man who was suppose to fix it by spraying WD-40 was beyond rude. He did add the WD-40 and it did open. There was a desk wood desk chair and a rolling desk chair with a torn-up seat and dust on its base in my room. I asked for "comfortable" arm chair" or such for my room and was told they did not have one and I should have requested on before I checked. Never in my life have I had to request a chair in a hotel room. Lastly, I was charged $50 dollars more for stay that quoted to me in an email. When I asked the desk clerk about, she said they couldn't do anything because I made the reservation online on the Candlewood Suites site. And, by the way, I called to make the reservation and got someone at a call center who quoted a high nightly rate who couldn't answer my basic questions. Basically, I was treated like dirt for the "privilege" of staying in a crummy hotel with rude, unhelpful staff. Save yourself a headache and pick another hotel. read more

Booked my room on Hotwire so I received a discounted rate. Room came equipped with coffee Mansfield, pot, bowl and a bag of popcorn. They offer a shared locker downstairs where you can check out things like a blender, board game, etc. only staying here one night but I would definitely recommend staying here to anyone in the area. It's about 8 miles off of interstate 20 which makes it a bit of a drive but well worth the money. read more

This property is a solid 4-star. Based on the reviews you'd think there was a problem. I guess lack of daily housekeeping could be an issue, but I simply flagged down a housekeeper in the hallway and he gladly let me resupply towels, coffee, popcorn-- directly from his supply room. Room was clean, kitchenette was nice perk. Sheets had a pattern that made them kind of rough. No other issues -- and staff was friendly. Doesn't seem like mgmt reads these reviews, so they may never learn the reason I give only 2-stars instead of 4-stars to boost their lackluster average score in this busy hotel market? Well, it's because they have their lobby TV tuned to Faux News -- an established disinformation entertainment network. If they don't want to alienate any hotel guests, put TV on HGTV or Weather Channel or local news. If mgmt does this simple fix, I'll raise my review score. read more

Great location! It is close to many shopping and restaurant options. The rooms conveniently have a stove top, dishwasher, microwave, and a full sized refrigerator. The staff was outstanding! My only complaint is the bathroom looked dirty, especially the tub/ shower. Also, the carpet was long over due for an upgrade. It felt and looked dirty. My first time at a Candlewood. Room was clean and well appointed. Bed was comfortable. Internet was fast and workstation was good. HVAC was very good. Complaints were: (1) worst towels I have ever used - they were all but abrasive, (2) no listing of TV channels, (3) No refreshers of coffee, cream, sweetner, and shampoo unless you stay seven days (according to the desk), (4) almost all channels had closed caption and no control on remote to turn it off, (5) TV was small for the size of the room and location of the seating and bed - but good selection of channels, (6) recliner was hard as a brick, and (7) no luggage rack in the room. If I stayed here again, I'd have to bring towels from home. read more

( an for those of you who don't know what this means it's where the hookers work in new orleans) my doctors appt. was on a thursday we stopped here too spend a nite so we didn't have too drive back home, we usually stay at home 2 suites but stopped here instead because it was close to my drs. appt. an i was hungry.. we go put our stuff an the dog in the room, go to the dr. went to eat an come back only to find no face cloths an no soap available, i called the front desk the girl said we have no soap an no face cloths people steel them, don't you think when you check in they should tell you they don't have any of this, the front desk girl goes an gets one squirt of soap an says that's all i have an here i am trying to lather a drying towel with a squirt of soap... not to mention my husband couldn't take his shower because there was no shower soap, personal hygene so horrible an terrible... so i take my shower an get out an had my night clothes on the nite table an went to pick them up an they stuck to the night table.... an it was on both night stands like sticky snoball, an by this time i'm frustated at 9 oclock at nite.. i want my cash back an they told me they don't have cash on the premisses, so i'm forced to go to another room, wala no soap in that room either but cleaner than the other one.. get settled in an lay down an look up an the fire detector is hanging from the ceiling, talking to other guest on the property an they had the same problem, an one guest had to go buy her own soap an sheets an not to mention when she checked in she said she had a black rock in her bed... ya'll tell me whats wrong with this picture she left a note on it for houese keeping... i guess i said enough, if you still think you want to stay here go for it.. not to mention the rude comments we got from the general manager when we spoke to her about this matter... go stay at home 2 suites or plenty other in the neighborhood!!!!! read more

New building, but not for long. The toe nails by the elevator when I checked in on Sunday, stayed there untill I checked out on Wednesday... So not only do your rooms get cleaned once a week, the hotel itself doesn't either. Plus, the extended stay residents treat it like their dorm from college, drinking and smoking until midnight every night out back. Really annoying, never again. read more

It was like me saying they needed better towels was a personal dig at him. Stayed here for months for business. Friendly staff, comfortable settings. Smaller TV, once a week room service, and sometimes water that you have to turn on and wait for it to cool down. Had it's ups and downs but it was fairly nice for an extended stay hotel when many of them have cheap fixtures and old appliances. read more
